Over the past few months I have been developing lightweight (60k) internet applications that allow an instructor to record audio and video directly to their online courses from any internet enabled computer. The recording can be accessed by students live within the online course, or can be played back asynchronously. All the instructor needs in order to record is a web camera and/or an inexpensive mic ( built-in computer mic works fine). story continued..
Conversations over the weekend lead me to thinking out loud about how the role of the educational technologist has changed (and is still changing). Time to reforge a paradigm! Listen for my 2 cents.
