"I’m a 54-year-old married father of 2 who resides in Oxford, Pennsylvania. I work in academia as a writing instructor. I’m also a paranormal experiencer going on 4 years this December and have created 2 short documentaries about my continuing investigation of the EVP mystery. I have been the guest on a slew of podcasts, FM radio, The Nashville Country Television Network, newspapers & most recently even got to hang out & share some mind-blowing forensic data with the Discovery channel’s Real Life Indiana Jones - Josh Gates. My story: I interact almost daily with ethereal entities who claim to be “alien” & “otherworldly”

"My name is Joel Carroll, the author of the recently published book, The Book of Joel; Cunning, Baffling and Powerful. I'm a recovering drug addict and gang member who, after nineteen years of Hell, was locked in a psych ward for homicidal ideation with suicidal tendencies. Death, paranormal activity, and self-will run wild had me baffled to my core. Doing dope, sleeping with prostitutes, and committing acts of violence were three of the many vices I turned to, all while being married with children. I was in the military and was discharged for using. I was a chef at the Ritz Carlton in Marana, Arizona but walked away after getting a DUI while drunk as well as high on Methamphetamine. I was kidnapped in Virginia and during a separate altercation had a stroke due to gang violence outside Washington DC. Today I am eight years clean and sober and have given my will and my life over to the care of God. Blessed to be a reliable husband and father of five amazing and talented children. I'm also a sponsor in AA and a community advocate in Tucson, Arizona. My book was recently published and I've been on a half dozen podcasts so far, as well as attended book signings at Barnes and Noble, along with other venues. It's just the beginning and I have a powerful message to share."

On this episode, Dwight tells the story of growing up in the small town of Hazard, Kentucky. After high school, he attended college for a while and then worked at a Disney theme park before deciding to go back to college and finish his degree. After graduating from university, Dwight moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting. Soon after arrival, he booked his first audition job on a commercial, which earned him his SAG card. Thus began his journey to perfect his craft and act as often as possible. After many years in LA, he moved back to Kentucky to take care of his ailing mother, finding that he enjoyed being home. Fortunately, he did not have to give up his acting career and worked more than ever, including a role on Chicago Fire as Dr. Mayberry. Since then, his career, like many others, has been sidetracked due to the COVID pandemic. Here is Dwight's Story
