Once we are taken captive by the holiness of God He opens the door to freedom from the world.
The enemy within might be the most obstinate of all. The ancient practice of fasting can help us battle this enemy.
The end of freedom is not self-indulgence but rather Jesus expressing himself through each of us and our unique wiring so that we love and live for God and others.

True human flourishing is found In Humility and Obedience. Humanity's fullest expression of the Image of God is found in Humility and Obedience. God's greatest glory is found in Humility and Obedience
Paul and the Philippians were bound together by the Spirit of Jesus Christ and their prayers for each other, we can be too.
Paul and the Philippians were brought and held Together by the messes of life and the mission of Jesus.
The Brilliance of everything that Jesus did, won, settled, redeemed, released, forgave, and healed through his cross and resurrection is yours as you daily accept the invitation to life with Him.
God has no favorites, all fall short of his glory but that does not keep him from extending his image-protecting love to a thousand generations.

Our joy in and for each other even when, especially when we are not at our best will change the trajectory of lives and the lives of those around us.
Joy is relational. It is founded upon a relationship with Jesus that was so important to him that not even death could keep Him from you.
When we live like people who trust in the hope and resurrection of the dead we bring life to those around us.
Sacrificially loving others is how we experience and express the new life found in Jesus.

Fulfilling your God-given purpose to give everything that you are to God and others is the best thing for God, others, and you.
The anchors of our past and the obstacles of our future are no match for the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit.
God calls us to care enough for the people around us to share the most important truth we know….Jesus.
There is nothing more important when it comes to sharing Jesus than the necessity AND agreement of our words AND actions.

If we keep God as the central, organizing relationship in our lives we bring His peace and a non-anxious presence with us where ever we go.
We have many reasons to celebrate the work of God's grace. Not the least of which is adversity cannot stop it.
Sometimes the Holy Spirit has to break through barriers in us before He breaks barriers through us.
Jesus is always at work. One of the many reasons we keep our fixed eyes on Jesus is to know where He is at work and how we might join him in that work.
Jesus provides this prayer so that we might pray more! More often, More persistently, More confidently, More faithfully, More expectantly.

Regardless of our circumstances the unbelievable victory of Jesus cannot be taken away - Jesus is still free from the grave
it’s important to worship in both spirit and in truth. You can agree with all the truth in the Bible, and yet, never be moved in your heart and spirit by God’s love for you. On the flip side, you can have the most emotional experience, and yet, without truth, your faith cannot weather the storm.

God most wants us to understand how much he loves us; then He wants us to act as a channel of that love to others. This truth requires action because LOVE is revealed through ACTION.
It is because God is perfectly perfect that He can be both incomprehensible and personally knowable.
To make disciples you have to be a disciple. To be a disciple you have to make disciples
It is not what you lack that is causing you to feel lost and incomplete. It is what you have that causes your discontent.
In mercy, we pursue those who have wronged us or are struggling in the same way that Jesus pursues us.

Christianity is a claim to exclusivity but it is not alone. It is the responsibility of the believer to handle this exclusive claim to the truth with all the grace that Jesus shows and makes available to them.
Sex has been mishandled by both culture and the church. It is a gift from God that is both, so much more than we make it and not all that we make it out to be at the same time. Sex like all other gifts from God, is supposed to draw people to Him.

Throughout the Christmas story as well as the rest of the Bible angels pop. Definitely UNEXPECTED. Who are they? What do they do? How does the spiritual world effect us today?
Prior to the first Christmas God's people suffered and waited. In the suffering and waiting their expectations of the coming Messiah were altered. Then Jesus is born and everything about Him is unexpected. We still suffer from the same altered expectations today. Jesus will not always be the god we want or expect Him to be but He is always the God we need Him to be.
The shepherds and wise men were unexpected guests at the birth of Jesus Christ. They represent an invitation to us all. For those that don't yet know him, the unexpected guests are an open-armed invitation to the family of God; for those that do know him they are an invitation to join Jesus in his work of glorifying God and growing His kingdom.
The role God gives us in HIS story will always stretch us in a way that requires us to rely on HIM and HIS people in humility. If we could accomplish it on our own, it wouldn’t be God’s Story.
The unexpected family of Jesus should give us hope and encourage us even in the midst of the most trying circumstances.....God keeps his promises.
We are, in large part, the product of the words spoken to us, at us and about us. Therefore, we each hold incredible power over those around us.
