Angela Carling was raised in Palm Springs California, but lives Arizona with her husband, three kids and five felines. After years of denial she finally admitted that she is a hopeless romantic which led her to write her first Young Adult book, “Unbreakable Love”. Since then she’s published three more books, “Shackled”, “Becoming Bryn” and “The Secret Keeper”. “Shackled” won the silver IPGA award in 2012 and has been optioned as a screenplay.

Angela always eats the frosting off her cake and leaves the rest, and can be caught singing in public bathrooms just for the acoustics. When she’s not writing YA novels, she’s mentoring teen writers, making pizza with her family or dreaming of taking a nap, not necessarily in that order.

We will be talking to Angela about all of her books, but especially her newly released story, The Secret Keeper. You can find all her books on Amazon and more about her at: http://www.amazon.com/AngelaCarling/e/B006P15NOG/ref=ntt_athr_dp_pel_1

About the Book: Seven year old Olivia Baxter and her dog vanish while playing in the front yard of her family’s home. After a week of searching, Olivia’s body was suddenly found in the closet, even after the police had thoroughly investigated the home.

Ethan Franco is a troubled journalist working for the Washington Gazette. His inability to move on from the past has deflated the passion he had for his career, causing him to lose his edge.

Ethan Franco begins his investigation into the mysterious death of Olivia Baxter and other unexplained disappearances, believing there may be a connection in the cases. No sooner did Franco begin his investigation then he realizes he is being tailed by government agencies. Inspired by real events surrounding a missing child in Dewey, Arizona, the author of the Bohemian Grove trilogy and The Apocalypse, T.M. Williams, brings forth a story that has been kept a secret for over a century--a story that a large group of people are still trying to keep under wraps.

We will be talking to T.M. Williams about this real cases of missing people and the interwoven fiction story that brings a possible answer to this old mystery and possible cover-up.

Jeff Gonzales was raised in Phoenix's East Valley, writing songs for his first band The Dirt Bike Kids at 15. He then served as bassist/vocalist of Tempe's Loud Americans, with the late Marco Holt. In 2005, he joined psychedelic pop band Skybox, relocating with them to Chicago. During this time he began to write and perform as a solo artist, embracing more traditional folk and country music in his songwriting, and testing his songs out at the El train stops in the Windy City. Gonzales later returned to Arizona and recorded his solo debut, The Lights Just Went Out..., which he produced with Aaron Ott. The 6-song EP earned him high praise, including Songwriter of the Year honors from YabYum Music & Arts. A new record is currently in the works, with the single The Robin & Birch Tree to precede the new record, sometime in 2015.

D.G. Scherrer is a singer-songwriter and award-winning poet from Phoenix, AZ. He began writing and singing songs when he was twelve years old, as the front man for a junior high school punk band. Since then he has become something of a songwriter's songwriter, crafting dark, catchy, lyrically sophisticated tunes in the tradition of Leonard Cohen and Townes Van Zandt. Still, the bite and immediacy of punk remains apparent in his songs, as well as in the sheer volume of his voice when he roars a chorus. Scherrer draws heavily on older American music forms, particularly blues, gospel and country.

What do vampires, Doug Jones, black-and-white cinema, and modern green screen technology all have in common? The answer is Nosferatu - a new visual remix of the classic German expressionist 1922 black-and-white silent horror film.

The idea is to bring this classic horror film back to life and with a unique feel to show to a modern audience while still honoring the masters of old. Writer and director David Lee Fisher has garnered a team of creative individuals who are all collaborating to recreate the 1922 film in a rather unique way.

Nosferatu is on KickStarter at thevampirelives.com with a goal to raise $60,000 by December 3rd.

Doug Jones, famed actor best known for his work as Abe Sapien in the Hellboy films, El Fauno and the Pale Man in Pan's Labyrinth, Billy Butcherson in Hocus Pocus, and the Silver Surfer in Rise Of The Silver Surfer, has been cast to portray the menacing Count Orlok. His makeup has been created by Mike Elizalde of Spectral Motion Studios.

Mill's End carries on a tradition of American Alt-Country that blends modern influences with folk/Americana songwriting. The band's sound is firmly rooted in a style reflective of Drive By Truckers, Whiskeytown, the Jayhawks and the Old 97's, but with a healthy dose of classic and progressive rock. In 2008, jam sessions between singer/guitarist Jeff Bump and drummer Mark Bainbridge inspired the two to form Mill's End, and they soon added bassist Geoff Butzine and lead guitarist/vocalist Keith Perillo to round out the foursome. A substantial repertoire of original songs quickly followed, as did a desire to share with the public a down-to-earth approach to experiencing live music. Mill's End currently plays at popular Tempe and Phoenix-area clubs including the Yucca Tap Room, The Sail Inn and The Rogue Bar to an ever-expanding fan base. The band has also made headlines by playing for thousands at a Phoenix Coyotes playoff game and recording tunes for a campaign by Valley Metro to promote the use of public transportation in the Phoenix metropolitan area. Mill's End has recently released their first full-length album and continue to expand opportunities to share their intimate brand of live shows.

The first half of our show we will be interviewing Garage FX.

The Second half we will be talking to the crew at Comic & Media Expo 2014.

Garage FX

Our two related clans, the Caldwells and the Fowers, have been creating costumes for ourselves, our kids, and others for decades.  The majority of that art form is inspired by comics and the notion of a Hero or Heroine.  Most everyone wants to be a Hero to someone.  So, why not get the chance to dress up like one every once in a while? We wanted to make sure anyone could have that chance so we started "Garage FX".  The concept is this: Teach others how to simply make great Cosplay (Costume Play) works of art using everyday items you can find in your garage or hardware store.  Since we began this effort, we have created projects from Venom to Predator to Spawn (in many forms).  Inspired by huge demand at past comic conventions our latest efforts have been making movie-prop worthy Halo Spartan Armor as well as those pizza eating Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. All pieces are made from the foam floor mats you step on in your garage, old plastic buckets, pool floats, PVC pipe, burlap bags, Elmer's glue, chicken wire, packing Styrofoam and more.  For the more intense student we even teach how to make your own patterns, sew elaborate costumes and cast latex and silicon masks and props.  We love what we do at Garage FX!  Feel free to stop by our web page to learn for free how to make something from nearly nothing or come to one of our weekly “Make-and-Takes” workshops here in the Phoenix Valley.

About the Author:

Deena Remiel is an Arizona author of paranormal romance, urban and dark fantasy, and romantic suspense. She also teaches language arts to middle schoolers. She belongs to RWA national and the Desert Rose Chapter of RWA, where there are outstanding people writing fabulous stories.

She grew up in Philadelphia, home of the most amazing cheese steaks, soft pretzels, and the Liberty Bell. Arizona called to her spirit and tempted her husband with much better weather! They moved the family, and the rest is history, or the present, as the case may be.

ABOUT THE BOOK:  Angel Rising

Hannah Livingston has the most infamous stalker that ever existed- Satan. She spent her sixth birthday with the Brethren, fighting an apocalyptic war that sent the Dark Prince back to Hell, and the rest of her life wondering if he’d be back for her soul someday. She needn’t wonder any longer.

Gabriel Seeker, Brethren Protector, spends his days and nights rescuing kids from sex traffickers and protecting their lives from further damage. He knows all too well the nightmarish world they’ve been stolen into, and it’s gotten harder to keep secret his own past horrors.

Hannah and Gabriel have always gotten along, first as friends, then as co-workers. She manages his life and he protects hers. A perfect, symbiotic relationship, so it would seem, until suppressed feelings for each other surface and forever change the landscape of their lives. Stricken with PTSD, the determined angel seeks to protect the woman he loves from Satan’s greedy and insidious clutches.

Deceit and seduction, desire and repression, collide in this epic, immortal story of love, duty, and sacrifice.

What does life look like once the children move on?

How do I celebrate my first Father’s Day without my father?

The ways in which love is remembered

How can the garden hose make someone cry?

It is filled with humor, with raw emotions, and with beautiful expression that touches deep in our souls. The reader begins to understand – in my story, there is yours.

A Star in My Hand is collection of short stories that are close to the heart, touching the emotions and engaging the mind of the reader. The book focuses on transitions - those moments when life changes - pivotal times when fate and feelings blend to transform ordinary events into life-changing transitions.

The preface to A Star in My Hand:

When laughter strikes a heart, a beautiful tone sings to another’s soul. When tears fall, the pain, the grief, travels its journey, bowing the heads of all it encounters. Our words, our worlds connect. And for a brief time, my story becomes yours and yours mine. The words transport the reader perhaps to a place within, or to a secret wish kept through time. A small reminder of a cherished memory, or of the defining second which changed a life.

We will be talking to author, Diana Elarde about the book and about her experiences which let to the book.

Spiral Ink Comics from 6-6:30

Spiral Ink Comics was founded in 2013 by independent comic artists Rob Hicks, Derrick Tipton, and Mickey Chaney.  The three artists met in 2012 while attending the infamous weekly "doodle night" event held at Jesse James Comics in Glendale, AZ.  During the production of Rob's debut comic title, Hooded Cobra: The Den of Serpents, Mickey offered up his inking skills for the book and later Derrick offered his coloring expertise for the book's cover.  Shortly thereafter, writer JJ Shelton approached the group about a co-writing opportunity for the rest of the series and the rest, as they say, is history!  Derrick and Rob also recruited cover artist Ruben Rosas to add yet another variety of style to the company.   S.I.C. plans to redefine what it means to be an indie comics publisher with their powerhouse combo of 100% original comic art and a strong focus on quality over quantity!

Five Key Questions You Should Be Asking

Concerning Your Healthcare...

If you could...wouldn’t you want to be empowered with the knowledge to circumnavigate America’s increasingly complex healthcare environment?

As a board-certified ophthalmologist, healthcare advocate and medical journalist, Dr.Frank J. Weinstock knows all too well, many Americans are spending way too much time and money worrying about their healthcare and he wisely counsels readers about it in his new book, I’ve Been Thinking: And It Might Save Your Life And Vision (TriMark Press, January 2014).

According to Dr. Weinstock, “Learning how to be an effective choice maker is the key to understanding your rights as a patient and as a healthcare consumer. I know that after reading my book, readers will be armed with the best information they can get to make wise and thoughtful decisions regarding their health care.”

I’ve Been Thinking is more than just a general guidebook and in reality is divided into two parts whereas the first part is a general overview of the healthcare system, the second part is specific to Dr. Weinstock’s ophthalmology specialty and imparts a thorough understanding of how important superior eye-care is and the questions that should be asked of eye-care specialists.

We will be talking to Barbara Kloss who studied biochemistry at California Polytechnic State University, and after she began working in a clinical lab, found herself daydreaming about far off lands and slightly deranged wizards. She, her husband, baby boy, and Lhasa currently live in Arizona, where she escapes the summer heat by writing about lush vegetation and moderate to cold climates. Author of the Pandoran Novels, a YA fantasy series.

About the Book:

After Prince Alaric's death, Daria and Alex set off in search of the legendary box of the Pandors'. The box is famed to hold a secret of power—one strong enough to overcome Lord Eris and the shield of power he stole from Valdon. Daria doesn't know where the box is hidden, but she can't ignore the silent urging, beckoning her to the land of Pendel—the land her mother, Aurora Pandor, was from.

Time is running out. Lord Eris's army of shadowguard vastly outnumber Valdon's forces, and if Daria doesn't find the box in time, Valdon will need reinforcements from the other territories to survive. But those territories will not hand over their armies willingly, not without Daria's hand in marriage.

And there is another, older power rising, one that hasn't been seen in centuries—one thought lost since the days of Galahad: the dragons.

Indie Authors Naked explores and defines the world of independent publishing. Comprised of a series of essays and interviews by indie authors, booksellers and publishers, readers will get a look at the many aspects of the indie community, where publishing professionals of all types come together with the simple goal of creating something unique; something that speaks directly to the reader, no middleman necessary.

We will be talking to Loren Kleinman who is a writer and poet and a columnist for IndieReader.com (IR) where she interviews New York Times and USA Today bestselling indie authors. Some of those interviews in IR reappeared in USA Today and The Huffington Post.

Her poetry has appeared in many literary journals. Spire Press published her first collection of poetry Flamenco Sketches, which explored the relationship between love and jazz.

Amy Holman Edelman launched IndieReader, the essential consumer guide to self-published books and the people who write them, way back in 2007.  Since then, indie authors have stormed the bestseller lists, been courted by trad publishers and (after all that), finally gained a modicum of respect.

As an author and a publicist with over 20 years’ experience, Amy’s goal for IndieReader is no less than to make indie a respected and desirable category within the publishing world. This book is just one step in that direction.

Imagine waking up 14 centuries from now, only to discover that everything you know about the universe is wrong and you are nothing but a despised relic from the long-dead past. Rome's Revolution is an interstellar saga about a man from the 21st century and a woman from the 35th century who fight forces from the incomprehensibly large to the infinitesimally small, all intent on destroying mankind. Cinematic in scope, Rome's Revolution offers romance, comedy, heart-pounding thrills, suspense, "legal" time travel, and meticulously researched hard science. It is a love story and a culture clash that celebrates the triumph of the individual over a mass-mind that thinks it is infallible. Rome's Revolution has it all: robots, aliens, computers, genetic manipulation, spaceships that travel faster than light and some that travel a lot slower. We will be talking to author, Michael L. Brachman, Ph.D. Brachman’s career as a science fiction writer began with a slight detour into romantic fiction with the novel ''Future Past', currently only available in e-book format. His first science fiction series, 'Rome's Revolution'' was originally written as three separate books under the title VIRUS 5.  In 2011, Brachman combined them into a single 167,000-word omnibus entitled 'Rome's Revolution'' and simultaneously published it in paperback and for all e-book readers.  This was followed by a fast-paced sequel entitled 'The Ark Lords'' which was released in 2012.  A riveting conclusion, entitled 'Rome's Evolution'' was released in the summer of 2013. He is hard at work on a new series with the first book expected early in 2014. http://www.romesrevolution.com/

Ronald C.Tobin Author of A Ruby for Victor Website: www.ronaldctobin.com We will be talking to Ronald C. Tobin about his book, A Ruby for Victor, an unsual vampire story. Ronald is a member of the Arizona Authors Association and the Phoenix Writers Club and a professional member of the Society of Southwestern Authors. He recently completed my first round of courses at Southwest Institute of Healing Arts and is now a certified hypnotherapist. Ronald stated, "The Plaz Seschni series is overall Science Fiction, maybe some Urban Fantasy, with a few Horror elements. When it comes to fiction, my primary genres are Science Fiction and Fantasy. I have nothing against the Horror genre, but I don’t think having vampires in a book makes it horror." From the Historical Information: After nearly twenty five standard years of research there was a breakthrough, the one that led to the establishment of Plaz Seschni. Dr. Nestri Vas Juliuan developed what had been called Serum XVF-1065-VB-9099. After a series of near successful experiments, Dr. Vas Juliuan was certain he had the right combination. So certain, in fact, that he made himself the subject for that critical experiment. Suffice it to say it worked, and Order Ruby came into being at that moment. After becoming a vampire, Dr. Vas Juliuan continued his research for another 1125 Terran years, hoping to perfect the serum and overcome what he regarded as shortcomings of the transformation. Ultimately he despaired of the effort. Never liking the notion of having to drink blood and not being able to walk unprotected in the daylight, he ended his days by walking out of a spaceship airlock without a suit.

Imagine an alien science where tissue, bone, nerves, and muscle are used like we use iron, wood, rubber and wire. Now imagine yourself held captive with hundreds of others by beings who wield this grisly technology as easily as we do hammer and saw; beings whose lineage can be traced through the morally hollow, parasitic branches of nature's evolutionary tree. What would you do to survive? Would you re-draw the boundaries of your own morality to stay alive? What would you compromise? How might you escape? This is the context of Natural Selection, the first of three volumes of the Dominant Species series of books. Author, David Coy, had a lifetime love of science fiction and horror. He suspects it started in puberty since most obsessions do. He states, "I consider myself a sci-fi film Nazi. I’m sure I’ve seen every sci-fi movie ever made – certainly the vast majority of them.  I can’t pass up even the worst of it. All those god-awful, black and white B flicks of the 40’s onward, with their outrageous and ham-handed themes of science vs. ignorance and good vs. evil, wrapped in whatever pseudo-scientific covering was popular that year, transfixed me, entertained me, and like the works pinched then stashed in my friend’s basement, made me think.  When pivotal films like “Alien” and John Carpenter’s “The Thing” elevated sci-fi film up out of the gutter with all those glorious and expensive production values, I was im himmel." We will be talking to David Coy about his love of science-fiction and how it has shaped what he has been writing. What does Natural Selection have to do with any of us?

Aprilynne Pike is an internationally best-selling American author best known for her debut novel Wings, which was released on May 5, 2009.

Discouraged that, after years of work, she had yet to achieve publication, one November morning in 2007 Aprilynne convinced herself that she was pursuing a foolish dream. Neither she nor her husband were sure how they could afford to pay for his final year of law school and keep their children fed. So Aprilynne resolved to teach childbirth classes again, this time for a fee, and actively seek doula clients in order to make ends meet. This would leave very little time for writing, but she decided it had become an unrealistic and impractical pursuit and the time had come to let it go.

That same day, indeed that same hour, as Aprilynne was sorting through her doula kit and childbirth education literature, the phone rang. It was Jodi; Aprilynne's Young Adult manuscript had interest.

Yet, it takes one scary night to change everything when a phantom knock on her door ends with the knowledge that her life will never again be the same. She discovers that everything she has known is a lie as the knowledge that she is the descendant of an alien line is thrown at her.

Jack is a haunted man, while the one bright point in his life becomes Carter, a childhood acquaintance. Her very presence heats the depths of his soul and she could be his salvation. Yet, she is the very thing he most fears.

Together they will discover the world of the Anunnaki, an alien race whose history has been tied to Earth since the very dawn of civilization. Thrust together into the unknown, they'll have no choice but to work as a team to wade through what is true and what is lie as Carter determines her place in this unknown society. ABOUT THE AUTHOR: What first started off as a blip on a blog soon took on a life of its own and turned into a novel. One, that T.M. Williams explains, she never really had control over. After finishing Bohemian Grove she began to look into getting the book published. The quest seemed so daunting that she decided to put it on the back burner and continue writing the trilogy. Half-way through Sun Gate, Bohemian Grove was signed on by Nightengale Press and has been released in February 2013.

Norm Jones spent his first 35 years managing his own life. After two failed marriages, he admitted failure, and turned wholeheartedly to God to change his life.  God has answered his prayer and is making him successful by God’s standards.   God has given Norm the spiritual gift of “prophecy.”  Such gifts are never meant to remain unfruitful, but they take many years to cultivate, mature, and harvest.   With Norm, this gift needed to ferment, like fine wine, so he could understand his gifts and be able to complete the message given him by the Holy Spirit over an additional 35 years.

Someone once spoke to Norm of how Moses, the son of Pharaoh’s daughter, spent the first forty years of his life learning he was a “somebody.”   He spent the second forty years as a shepherd, on the backside of a desert, learning he was a “nobody,” and the third forty years learning that God could take a “nobody” and make him a “somebody.”  Norm can imagine how Moses might have felt towards the end of his life.  This job God has set for both men was daunting.  But Norm knows that God and he are a majority.  God has prepared Norm for this journey his whole life. Norm is now ready to help prepare others for the spiritual Apocalypse and how to survive the End Times.

“Apocalypse Survival Guide” is the third book Norm has written and published. His other two books, “The United States of America In Biblical Prophecy”, published in 2011, which is about how the USA is mentioned in the Bible. His second book, “Managed Cooperation Theology,” published also in 2011, focuses on the reality of God’s love for man, and God’s desire for man to love Him.

In G.P.A.'s words: In my previous titles, “The Confessional Heart of a Man” and “The Book of 24 Orgasms”, there was mostly non-fiction involved in the Poetry. (Yes, even in the sensual book.) But there was also some fantastical embellishment involved. However, “The Mind of an Unsub” is fully my life experiences from the very day I left prison on the 17th of June in 2008, until maybe a week before this book was completed. I didn’t hold anything back or sugarcoat a thing. It is my opinion that in order for the Poetry to be believable, it must come from the life of the person writing it. Because of all this, his new book, "The Mind of a Poetic Unsub," is by far his most ambitious book to date. We are expecting grand things for this unique man and his words in the years ahead. But, for now, you must meet him here, and LIVE on my show.

Chet Shupe’s professional background is in Electronics Engineering. As a young engineer never did he imagine he would someday be developing a thesis that addresses sociological issues. At some point at mid career however, he was inspired to apply his background in control theory to the human condition. Out of this has come a unique perspective addressing the perplexing issues that increasingly face us, including, among other things, our lack of intimacy. Why is our world essentially without intimacy when that is what we want most? Intimacy: To feel as one with those around us and with our surroundings, where being in the moment is as natural as breathing. If what we want most is to love and to be loved, what is preventing it? We will be talking to Chet Shupe as he offers his answer to that question, and also suggests a path by which to recover our natural state of intimacy. "Without our spirit’s freedom to prove its worth, we aren’t really alive. Spiritually, we are in survival mode." pg. 210 from his book, Eden: Regaining our Spiritual Freedom. http://www.spiritualfreedompress.com/

THE SAGA CONTINUES: AFTER SELLING HAWAII TO THE CHINESE TO PAY OFF THE NATIONAL DEBT, WHAT WILL PRESIDENT BRUCE GAVIN DO NEXT?

When Aloha!, (the first book in the Bruce Gavin Political trilogy) was published in 2011 the fiction was eerily close to the truth. The American economy was facing troubling times and America needed to elect a president with hard hitting solutions for some of the nations most difficult problems. In Aloha readers were introduced to Senator Bruce Gavin who was elected President in 2012. Senator Gavin made bold campaign statements promising he could resolve the National Debt ...and he delivered...His solution: Sell the Hawaiian Islands to China...But is that enough to keep him in office? Adios!, the second book in the trilogy begins where Aloha! ends and gives readers a window into the inner workings of the federal government. It is now 2014 and President Bruce Gavin will be up for reelection soon, the war in Afghanistan is still raging and illegal immigration and human trafficking is a national problem.

Adios! answers those questions and more as it delves into Mexico’s most powerful drug cartel and offers an intriguing sub plot with the unlikeliest of heroes, a young Mexican woman named Maria Rodriguez and her two children, who not only escape the cartel but end up causing it’s demise.

"I hadn't intended to write about my childhood, or even spend five minutes thinking about it. All I wanted was to see the land of Dracula, to find out what it was really like." With that single purpose in mind, Jane Congdon set out alone for Bucharest, Romania, at age 59. Myth met reality as she toured the villages and castles of Dracula's homeland with a guide. What she didn’t expect was an inner journey through her own past. It Started with Dracula:The Count, My Mother, and Me

As a young girl, Jane Congdon loved movies about Dracula. They ignited a dream in her to see the castles and forests of Transylvania, but first she had to face the monster that lurked in her very own house—a mother whose thirst was more frightening than a vampire’s. It Started with Dracula is Jane’s spellbinding tale of finally taking the trip of her childhood dreams to the land of Dracula. Her journey to a country that reminded her of home unleashed childhood memories and triggered an inner journey that was completely unexpected. Through the prism of Dracula's legend and the Transylvanian countryside, Jane connects with the girl she had been and puts her childhood into perspective. Along the way, she sees her mother in a new light and learns to heal the wounds of her past. It Started with Dracula is a story of expectations and surprises; survival, forgiveness, and hope.

Motivated by the words of the late James Brown, J.T. Barber conceived the question: Is it possible to make literature as universal as music?  A good song with great lyrics can pierce the hearts of many regardless of race, ethnicity or corresponding stereotypes.  With a burning desire to find an answer to her question, J.T. decided to test her own skills as a writer.

J.T. Barber is a writer and firm believer in innovation.  She looks beyond invisible walls to search for answers to questions that no man or woman has been able to offer up.  She also invites readers to think outside the box, take a ride on a fantastic voyage as well as dive deep into the core of what it is to be human. Book Synopsis: Have you ever wondered why a certain thing was happening to you?  Have you ever asked yourself, ‘How did I get here?’  Several characters in this book asked themselves these same questions.  One woman in particular, Minnie, is faced with the awesome responsibility of making decisions that will affect her entire family.  But what she has yet to realize, is that her entire family had made decisions, long before she was ever born, that would put her directly in this position. Reflections of a Whisperis a thrilling journey that will lure you into a tale of secrets, love, and loyalty.  This first installment will guide you through a woman’s present, shielded from her past, as she carves out her future. Mike Lynch published his first (non-fiction) book, Dublin, in 2007. His first novel, When the Sky Fell, co-authored by Brandon Barr, was published two years later, followed by two other books they've written together, American Midnight and After the Cross. His latest novel, The Crystal Portal, co-authored by Travis Perry, was released in 2011, along with a host of short stories published in various magazines. Mike lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with his wife and two children. Synopsis of "After the Cross" At the newly excavated Medieval library in Istanbul, Turkey, a discovery is made that is poised to rock Christendom to its very foundation—an 800-year old letter which purports to reveal the final resting place of Jesus’ Cross. This explosive news is kept quiet at the behest of Vladimir Zarco, a Ukrainian billionaire whose illegal business activities are threatened by the document’s discovery. He hastily convenes a team of experts in an effort to discredit the manuscript’s authenticity, but when their analysis points to it as being genuine, a bomb destroys the research center. Zarco shuts the project down, and orders the surviving researchers to leave. Two of the linguists, Drs. Mallory Windom and Colton Foster, have other ideas. Once bitter enemies, they decide to hunt for the cross on their own, even though mysterious forces seem bent on stopping them at all costs. Despite the obstacles thrown at them, Mallory and Colton press on to an ancient Jewish town where the Cross has allegedly been hidden. They soon discover, however, the fiercest battle is not from without, but from within, testing their beliefs, their ethics, and their growing love for one another.

Touched By Two Souls: Sleeveless Emotions is a project Charles Burgess started and pulled in Jerrmond Walker in to be a part of this book because of his admiration of the live performances of this local Milwaukee poet. Jerrmond "JDub" Walker was introduced to poetry as a means of personal therapy. A friend brought him to a local poetry set and his love for the art flourished almost immediately. Known to Milwaukee's poetry scene as "JDub", listeners of his work understood that when he hit the stage -the truth would flow. Bold, strong and sometimes even crass to the sensitive ear, JDub's stories of tainted love, social and community dissatisfaction, and an occasional sexual exploitation won him the favor and respect of a thriving poetry community. For some, his venture to share his work in written form may be a surprise, but for many, it's long overdue. Though this is his first, published work, it surely will not be his last. Charles Burgess lives in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and now has taken up writing as a full-time job. Father of eight, with five boys and three lovely girls. Charles is looking to deliver two hundred books or more in continued career, and hopes to captivate his readers with tantalizing stories.

Arizona has some of the humorous writers in the world -- probably because we are all crazy to be living in the middle of the stinking desert and the heat is baking our brains. Or in Oana's case, she may say it could be because we can all hear our cats talk to us. "The Healings" is a dabble in dark humor in which she grew up in Bucharest, Romania. Oana states, "The character in my stories is a depressed male - the universal human being in search of his own Self and his place in the society and, on a deeper level in the world. In his quest for healing, he is accompanied by his one and only partner, his talking cat." When I met Oana during an author reading in a few months ago, I found her brand of humor and sarcasm reminiscent of Erma Bombeck, or my favorite satirist, Nora Ephron. She's wickedly humorous and writes about a talking cat, so what more would I want as a reader. THE HEALINGS by Oana -- SEEKING SPIRITUAL GROWTH THROUGH LAUGHTER http://www.thehealings.net/

What would happen if Barack Obama lost his bid for reelection in 2012? Author’s Stephen A. Enna and Dennis J. Wootten explore that possibility in their new novel, Aloha, the first of a three-book trilogy whose plot is a fascinating combination of facts, fiction and current events.  Aloha, with it’s highly imaginative plot twists gives readers a birds eye view into the high stakes political world of secret meetings, back room deals and international intrigue. Aloha is a story that could have been plucked from today’s 24/7 news cycle. The book successfully interweaves the back story of the characters with current story lines as the senior senator from Oregon, Bruce Gavin, prepares to take office as the new (republican) 45th US President. Gavin ran his campaign on a strong platform of reform and after he becomes President, the American people are informed that he has signed a treaty with the People’s Republic of China to sell them the Hawaiian Islands for 13 Trillion in cash. The sale will all but eliminate the national debt of $15 trillion. Will President Gavin be able to convince the Senate of the United States that the sale is in the best interest of the country or will the Senate reject the concept and continue with the losing strategy of trying to solve the national debt a little at a time? From Michael D'Ambrosio: My writing career started in 1999 during one of my Middle East tours due to boredom at the time. We were in a spell where there weren’t any good sci-fi movies or books coming out to capture my attention. A friend jokingly suggested that I should write my own. I thought about it and figured, “Why not?” From there Michael has written a trilogy, a series and the beginning of another; in a total of eight books. He has also written screen plays for all of these books and straight screen plays that he may be adapting this year to books. We sat down with Michael for the first time at DarkCon in 2010, this is the interview we can share with his fans, and new readers interested in space adventures, space opera, time-travel, or adult horror.

TODAY IS A 2-PART PROGRAM: Don Wiest, author of "The Expendable Pawn" will be talking to us this Saturday, the 16th about not only his book, but how he was the scribe, rather than the author of this extraordinary book. He will be answering some life-long theological questions from his unique perspective. Such questions about evolution seems to be taboo to many Christians today, but Don embraces these ideas and has spent years exploring the deepest questions stirring in both believers and non-believers alike. Don Wiest was baptized and raised in the protective family atmosphere of the Seventh-day Adventist church. His faith matured after learning to distinguish religious works from the simple yet impeccable logic of Grace. Today Don resides in Arizona and is an avid armchair historian who also has a passion for new discoveries in archeology and astronomy. These interests have awarded Don with unique ideals that he wishes to share with his readers and listeners. IN THE LAST PORTION OF THE PROGRAM: Civilization: From the beginning with Noah's Ark to what some believe will be the end in 2012. Donald Jacques is back again to discuss the historical view of our past and how current indicators stack the deck in a different view of our near future in 2012-2013. What can we expect? And how will what happens in these 2 years will pave the way for man's push out into space.

Pilgrims, and settlers of the American West did not take the latest and greatest technology with them when they settled their new lands. They actually took only what they could reasonably carry that would contribute to their survival at their destination. I propose that we do the same in the coming decades as we send out settlers to the Moon, Mars, and beyond. Follow along in this handbook as I introduce a plan that not only provides a guide for the survival materials to take along, but a process of twelve steps that can get our settlers on the moon in less than ten years. This is no grand scheme on the order of The Millennial Project: Colonizing the Galaxy in Eight Easy Steps by Marshall Savage. Rather, I propose a realistic first step to put true frontier settlers on the Moon, and soon there after on Mars. Join me and see if you might actually like to buy a ticket to the Moon!

We are selling eBooks at a ratio of 12:1 right now. Come by, listen, and ask questions on why this changing face of publishing affects all writers and authors in every genre of fiction or non-fiction work. Patti Hultstrand is a 21-year veteran graphic designer who has also worked in a print shop for 14 of those years. She knows better than most small publishers what the differences are in the printed book, compared to publishing in eBook only. Find out when and why the printed book is not truly dead yet.

It was a near death experience that made PJ Hultstrand pick her story up again after years of letting it collect dust. She changed the heroine, the location in history, the time period (somewhat), and added the premise of time-travel, because over the years, she had evolved, becoming very interested in the possibilities of time-travel. PJ's WORDS: “Battle for Time” is book 3 of my Chasing Time series. I have plans for about 14 books in this series. I started my first story back about 17 years ago on a dot matrix printed copy of the beginnings of what turned out to be an epic romantic time-travel adventure. Back then, the story was a simple historical romance about a warrior princess who must protect a king from a neighboring country who doesn’t believe in her abilities to do the protecting. I had a palace schematic drawn out which had become a yellowed reminder, years later, of that story that had been stuck inside me all those years. After my brush with death, it was time for this story to come to life.
