Sara chats with you from her parked car (or from her bed) about all sorts of important and interesting topics. There’ll be guests too! Artists, comedians, writers, scientists. Sara is an actor, drummer, teacher and support worker in Tasmania, Australia. She is an autistic woman who’s fiercely driven by connection and contribution. Welcome!
Living spaces, working spaces; Sara finds comfort in small spaces. She’s interested in the better use of public space and also the notion of claiming ones own space. Middle aged women become invisible at a time when they are ripe with experience and wisdom, whilst all around us there are a lot of people taking up a whole lot more space than they probably ought to.
First up, I’ll be reading winner of 2017 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction, Colson Whitehead’s Underground Railroad. Reading aloud will help me to focus and hopefully finish some of the first fiction I’ve been able to read in over a decade. Check in every day or two for the next chapter. I don’t have rights to read this, but I don’t seek to profit from this in any way. If you like this book, please buy a copy for yourself and one for a friend too, so that the author is supported. One day, I’ll find a way to make this a job. I don’t edit what I read, so there will be the occasional hiccup. Please enjoy with love from me.
A little about Sara’s relationship with dogs. From neighbourhood dog wrangler to vet nurse to general dog walker, sitter and whisperer. Dogs- one of the few constants in a pretty hairy life.
A quick intro- Hello, I’m Sara and this is my brand new podcast. I’ll be talking about all sorts of important things from either my bed or my parked car, down here in little old TASMANIA, Australia. Occasionally I’ll welcome a guest into either of those places. This trailer tells you a little more about me! Welcome.
