"Send a Proposal" ...
These are either the 3 BEST words in business...
Or the WORST.
Let me explain: imagine for a moment that you're working hard on a big deal, and the buyer finally say's to you:
"Sounds good, send me a proposal."
Well, ... are you about to get paid?
...or is the deal about to die?
When I hear those exact words I know my chances of “closing” just went down by 66%.
Now I'm staring at 3 "doors"
Are you using sales enablement material to scale more quickly? What do you want your sales team doing every day? Selling! Closing deals! Hitting targets. Give sales teams the support they need. With the right processes and sales enablement materials in place, they can bring more leads into the pipeline and close deals more effectively.
Have you ever taken the time to write out a long email in response to a potentially major business opportunity only to realize a week later that it’s still in your Drafts box? No? Just me? Well, one of the most important things that I have learned as a business owner is to “inspect what you expect.” What does this mean? Well, most of us have heard about what happens when we assume. Needless to say, assumptions are not good business policy. If you expect a specific result, it’s imperative that you double-check (inspect) your own work – and others’.
Knowing your audience helps you in figuring out just what words will make people take notice of what it is that you have to say. When you know your audience, you’ll know what you want to say in your marketing. But what exactly does it mean to KYA?
“Oh, wow! You look hideous.” Most of us would agree that this would be an extremely unkind thing to say to someone. But what if I told you the recipient of those words was wearing a Halloween mask. Although the statement (content) is the same, the context in which it has been made can easily change its meaning and the subsequent emotions evoked.
In the age of dating apps and emojis, the art of conversation has vastly diminished. Don’t get me wrong; technology has worked wonders for us in many ways. It’s given us the ability to stay in touch with college buddies, work remotely (hello couch!), and do away with those 50-pound encyclopedias we used to lug around. But as with everything in life, the tension of opposites applies: when you gain something, you most often lose something else. And sadly, this digital age of instant global access that we live in has taken from us the very foundation of what makes us different; one of our most basic human needs: connection.
Imagine this. You’re getting ready for a night out when a friend looks at you and throws out that dreaded, age-old question: “Does this dress make me look fat?” Your mind starts churning and your palms begin to sweat with the idea of having to respond. Now, assuming that she does not look good, there are two ways that this could feasibly go. You could choose to say something insulting about how unflattering it is, or you could choose to compliment how much nicer she looks in something else; These are two different ways of expressing the same thing (that she should not wear the dress). Yet each will likely result in a different response, a different outcome.
Here's how to use podcasts to improve your ranking. SEO and traffic are essential to business success and podcast guesting is a great way of achieving both.
You’ve probably been told to raise your pricing.
At least once.
And if you’re honest with yourself probably too many times; more than you can count.
I know that’s how it was for me.
I also remember the first time I raised the price of one of our packages to $10k.
I knew the investment was fair and we had the data to show that it was a worthwhile investment for clients but for some reason selling it was really difficult.
There was something inside of me that was sabotaging the sale...or at least it felt that way.
After speaking with a mentor I realized that I myself had never spent $10k for help..
So, here is what I did...
Struggling with creation? Master the cycle…
I live and create in 90-day cycles. Because 90-days is a perfect amount of time to create something significant.
90-days is enough time to move the needle inside any area of your life, but not too much time where life can shift so dramatically, nerfing your best intentions of creation.
When I examine the process of creation, I realize the creation part is merely one of four steps in my mental framework to get things done. Close friends of mine joke that my superpower is declaring what I am going to do, and then doing it.

How to leverage emerging best practices to hit your number Worried about hitting your number this year? Let’s make sales and therefore revenue more consistent and repeatable. We cover how you can do this using emerging best practices, including new technology, new training techniques and new ideas.
Done-for-You vs. Done-with-You: Do you have a business that is trading time for money?
Aka not scalable.
If this is you, I’m guessing… you do too much and don’t give any one thing enough attention or time to scale and build momentum. (You know who you are)
The reality is that every single client I've worked with that has hit $1 million in revenue and beyond and really just not a slave to their business... got there with one core solution and focused on that 1 thing for a year.
Yes, one year.
It’s going to take a year to get really good at marketing your offering and delivering it in a scalable way.
It’s going to take consistent tweaking and iteration.
But, what do most people do instead?
They start something new, all excited, and when it doesn’t work as they planned (aka get rich overnight with no work), they go and try something else.
They never give themselves enough time to get good at anything. Focusing on your ONE solution for ONE year is simple.
Not easy but simple...let's get started!
