The Cynical Optimists (or "CynOpt") is a fortnightly podcast which covers the film, TV and gaming news of the week as well as a discussion about a new release film or game, or a discussion about something prevalent in pop culture at the time of recording.
It ran on a seasonal basis until #75, but now is every two weeks all year round. The show is hosted by Phill and Nick.

Segment 2: Weirdest Product of the Week (+ other CynOpt segments) 0:48:47 Phill and Nick look back at the best weird products highlighted on the podcast in order to find the “Weirdest Product of CynOpt”. They then look back at the shorter lived segments which were trialled throughout the show.
Segment 3: Reflecting on The Cynical Optimists podcast 2015-2022 1:09:54 Phill and Nick reflect on the podcast itself, how it changed over the years, and how our hosts have changed too.
