The Yankees came, did well, and then complained about a wall that the Rays had no problem with. Also...ADLEY IS UP!
After a, frankly, oddly good week, we're ready to speculate on why we think things are going well so far and what changes we'd like to see in the future.

:sigh: nice...
...And we're back! So are the Orioles! It's been a while and we break down the ups and downs of the offseason and our predictions for when the prospects will start to show up in the Bigs
Another season in the books and we're really feeling like we're on the way up. As such, we will be keeping receipts from here on out. When we're good again, you'll know who you are and why you're not allowed on the bandwagon.
It's the pronunciation question on everyone's minds. We talk about more important stuff too, like Cedric Mullins making history and Ryan Mountcastle's stellar performance, but, you know, that question though!
The national media continues to rail against the Orioles despite the fact that the Rangers have a terrible road record and we are 7-9 against the Yankees. Seriously, cut it out!
The losing streak is over and we would be ready for that playoff run, but we're mathematically eliminated from that as well. Just gotta enjoy what's left of the season. Let us know which free agents you think we should chase this offseason!
It was a long break thanks to vacations and distance, but we're back and there's a lot to talk about. Chris Davis! The trade deadline! We were good! Then we got really bad! Enjoy us with a rose!
We like the way Trey's thinking nowadays and it's time for all of us to get used to expecting wins again.
Trey went and did it! He made it to the finals in the HR Derby, but the dastardly Pete Alonso hit home runs like his life depended on it. We cover that, our trade deadline predictions, and our strong start against the Royals in the second half.
Be sure to check us out in the annual BEVy awards! https://www.birdseyeviewbaltimore.com/2021-bevys/
We've got Cows(er) on the farm and we're excited about it! What else happened on the first 1.5 days of the draft? We'll let you know!
PS: Trey was so good in the Derby, but we recorded before it happened.
Orioles twitter continues to feud and Roch ain't helping. Maybe we should all drink some Albariño and chill into the All-Star break?
Forget Poor Richard's Almanack, we're the only source for farm news you need because we went down to Bowie to watch Grayson Rodriguez pitch and Adley catch! It was loads of fun, but that's not all we have to talk about. We also touch on sticky stuff, minor league housing, Cedric Mullins, and more!
Cedric Mullins is really good, everyone. He's been tearing it up and we love to see it. What we don't love to see is Means' injury. On the positive side, the losing streak is finally over. Let's have a "rosé all day" kind of day and enjoy a hot week.
Can you get to the dog days before summer even starts, because we really think we've reached them!
At least we have the food fight to...what...it's over?! Remember that no-hitter though?
What if I told you that the mysteries were only getting deeper? But seriously, this week was not a great one for the Orioles and we're struggling to not feel discouraged. Thankfully the farm system is growing strong and we've got this mystery to tackle...
It was not the best week for the Orioles, but things are looking up on the farm. Unfortunately, we've also uncovered a MASSIVE conspiracy in the MLB Food Fight and we're here to say the Fells Point Patty Melt is hiding a deep secret...
Wow, what a week! We had historic successes on the field coupled with poor performance against the dastardly Red Sox. Not only that, we're drinking a wine spritz in celebration! What were you doing during the no-no? Email us and let us know!
Pop that champagne (again!) because it's our 50th episode! To celebrate, the Orioles had a pretty good week of baseball with good series against the Yankees and Athletics. Thanks so much for being listeners over this past 50 episodes!
We're sick of these 7-inning doubleheaders. They seem custom-built to defeat the O's and we don't like them!
We're back down to earth after our meteoric start and we're not loving the way we've played since last episode. On the other hand, we're super famous now thanks to the Baltimore Sun and WBAL, so there's that!
The Orioles juggernaut cannot be stopped in 2021 and we're here to celebrate the unexpected 1st place finish in our first weekend of the 2021 campaign. Did anyone but us expect it? Should the rest of the AL just give up already?! Listen to find out!
We know we're not in charge of the roster, but we're still taking a crack at what we think Elias and the crew should do with the 26-man this year.
Did you know riojas could be white wines? Neither did we! Oh, you're wondering where we've been? Well...we needed a bit of a break, but we're back and ready to go again for 2021! Tune in to hear us talk about the latest additions and subtractions to the birds!
It's playoffs time again and the Orioles...well they didn't make it, but that won't stop us from reviewing their performance and breaking down our thoughts on the rest of the playoff teams while sipping an Italian white wine.
The season is waning and so are the team's playoff chances. Pour a Barolo and enjoy our latest.
Sure, this last week of baseball didn't really go our way, but that doesn't mean the team can't pull it together for a late season push, right?
We're not totally sure what the clubhouse vibe is, but we bet it's pretty good after a solid week of debuts and ruining the weekend for Yankees fans. Pour yourself a rosé and give us a listen!
It's a Prosecco kind of day as we celebrate RyMo's (still working on that one) first two MLB homers and our many players (both named and unnamed) that we've received before the trade deadline!
Pour yourself a Gavi and listen to us discuss Mountcastle's promotion and the state of the rest of our soon-to-be-called-up prospects.
In the world's first organic podcast we discuss the relative size of Camden Yards to the Miraval vineyard, Dylan Bundy's renaissance, sweeping the Nats, Hays' ribs, Akin's debut, Davis' struggles, and Melanie Newman's debut.
It's a short one this week thanks to a wisdom teeth extraction that's got one of our hosts feeling a little under the weather. Join us as we chat as little as possible about this week's games, the recent call ups, and our power bats while enjoying a Willamette Valley Pinot Noir.
The surging(?) Orioles continue their strong start to the season after a strange delay due to the Marlins COVID-related woes. Join us as we celebrate a strong start with a mysterious Côtes du Rhône.
The Orioles season is underway and we're excited! Everything looks a little different, but we're ready to talk about the current squad and our hopes for the sprint season.
NOTE: This episode was recorded well before the COVID-related cancellation of today's game.

February was so short we missed putting out an episode, but we're ready to go for 2020! You know who else is? Chris Davis!
With apologies to Jose Iglesias, it's been a pretty chilly winter for the Orioles front office. At least we've stayed out of the way of these massive sign-stealing scandals. More talk about that and the HOF in the episode.
Did we go a little hard on Jimmy Yacabonis content just days before he left the Orioles? Yes.
We also talked about the Winter Meetings and our picks for the Orioles Team of the Decade.
Pour yourself a glass of wine and enjoy!
We drink a Soave and discuss the Astros sign-stealing scandal, our roster moves, Doug, the Hall of Fame, and the "rattiness" ranking of Baltimore
We're feeling pretty reflective here at the end of the season! Join us as we go over the highs and lows of the season! See you in late October!
Hey fellow Fish fans! Apparently my podcasts haven't been hitting the feed at all this season. Let's drink a Kura whisky from Okinawa and chat about the lack of Spanish-language broadcasting in the Mid-Atlantic!
Welcome to Dr. Konstantin Frank's office. Have a riesling and join us as we talk about Jonathan Villar, our (briefly) top-tier bullpen, Matt Blood, Dylan Bundy, fan etiquette, and the end-of-season standings.
Guess what: people are saying Anthony Santander is the next Eddie Murray. You heard it here...second.
Plus Hanser's chasing the batting title, the Orioles continue to not be the worst team in baseball, and we're drinking chardonnay.
We drink a lovely French rosé and talk about our mathematical elimination and praise the good news for Mallory Rubin and Derek Waters.
Sit back, pop open a 1998 Reverie Cabernet Sauvignon, and get ready for another "very special" episode of The Wine'd Up where we talk about Players Weekend and the rankings of MLB tv announcing crews.
It's another very special episode of The Wine'd Up where we talk about this weird "Honey Bear" commercial with Nick Markakis, a new low for the O's, frustration with replay, the 2020 season, and take another shot at tweeting with Mallory Rubin.
Yeah, we've got an episode where we talk about our favorite #21, Nick Markakis, the trade deadline, and how good the 2018 Honig Sauvignon Blanc we drank was, but the most important thing is our #PitchToPitch so we can get Ali Krieger tossing that first pitch at Camden.
It's a very special episode as we honor Frank Robinson, talk about our hot week against the Angels, decide to trade Adley, chat about our trade chips, and drink a Spanish rosé.
It's the Chris Davis episode! You can finally learn the Chris Davis story! We also talk about the games we went to this past week, Michael Baumann's no-no, our trade chips, and more, all why enjoying a 2016 Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
It's the Jeff Conine episode(!) and we had a lot to talk about! Topics include: Cashner to the Red Sox, John Means (not) in the ASG, and the state of the rebuild. We also drank a 2013 blend from Château des Crès Ricards.
We got a little (red, white, and) blue going into the All-Star Break as we celebrated the US Women's National Team's victory with a Chemin de Provence Coteaux d'aix en Provence rosé and chatted about our All-Stars, came up with ideas for bringing back the skill competition, and discussed B.J. Surhoff and a weak #17 class.
In our Trey Mancini episode we pop a Roederer Estate sparkling wine to celebrate our #rebuilt Baltimore Orioles and talk about Mike Mussina's weird personality, SeatGeek stadium rankings (again), and sabremetric analysis of the fan experience.
We may be a day late, but we're coming in hard today talking about draft signings, the Oakland Coliseum, ballpark ratings in general, and the DH all while enjoying a 2018 Les Vignobles Foncalieu Côtes du Rhône Rosé Réserve de l'Abbé.
For our...He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named episode we have a good time talking about some bad wine errors, the weak Orioles #14 field, the hated Blue Jays, and our thoughts on rule changes for baseball, all while thoroughly enjoying a 2015 Fattoria Svetoni Vino Nobile di Montepulciano.
In our Machado episode we talk about the draft, express our thoughts about what exactly tanking is, and get a little hot as we discuss MLB's flawed replay policy all while sipping a 2018 Domaine Cherrier Et Fils Sancerre.
In a jam-packed episode we talk about Katie's old fave at 2B, the 2019 draft (again!), get a head start on the 2020 draft, Cashner's desire to stay in Baltimore, Given and the Orioles bullpen's struggles, and the tone-deaf choice to inject even more political processes into our lives by MLB all while drinking a 2017 Pinot Grigio by San Pietro. Will we make it to next week or will draft expectations and GIF pronunciation tear us apart?!
Note: Sorry about the uneven audio on Katie and Kyla. We tried a new recording method for this episode and had some mixed results.
Thanks to the Memorial Day holiday, we recorded this one a little early this week, but we still got into it! Join us as we talk about fun uniform options in the minors, our favorite Orioles logos, how wrong Phil Hughes is about anthem etiquette, and drink a 2016 Gypsy Dancer Pinot Noir.
In our tenth episode we talk about who "dressed" it best, Chris Davis' surprising turnaround, how the Orioles are allegedly not lobbying for the All-Star Game, and drink a 1542(?) Bisol Jeio Proseco Brut...with freshly-squeezed orange juice.
In our Brady Anderson episode we talk a lot about Adley Rutschman, the best #9s in Orioles history, trade strategy, and tweet at Ben McDonald all while drinking a 2016 Etrusca Vella Proprietary Red.
We talk about the middling week by the O's, those rumors-that-must-not-be-named, and drink not one, but two wines: a Romeo From Verona Merlot and Covina blend and a 2014 Chateau Montalena Chardonnay. We'll let you guess which one was better...
We talk about whether the Dwight Smith, Jr. home run robbery or the Chris Davis' home home run is better, the Orioles scooter gang, our giveaway schedule, and drink a 2005 Vino Noble de Montepulciano.
We debut a new segment, interview our own, personal friend who is not that Baseball Brit, touch upon bränball, and drink a 2017 Mohua Sauvignon Blanc.
We celebrate the end of an infamous streak, talk about rooting for the O's in hostile territory, and drink a Paul Déthune Brut Rosé Champagne.

We try to stay engaged with spring training baseball, talk about superstitions and facial hair, tweet at Orioles fan(?) Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and enjoy a New Zealand sauvignon blanc.
We make our predictions for the upcoming season, talk about the fresh young faces on the Orioles squad, tweet at Orioles fan Joshua Charles, and enjoy a Rhino Cab Sav.
