Jesus Christ said "I am the light of the world" he gave witness of himself but said that the Father which sent hem gave witness of him also.
The law stated that for a record to be true there must be two or more witnesses. Jesus gives two witnesses.
Jesus said in response to the Pharisees that His witness was true and then He gave some evidences that it was true.
The first of Solomon's Proverbs is "The Fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge.
When we are reproved and that often times we need to be sure that we do not harden our hearts against it.
There is a period of one thousand years between the resurrection of the righteous and the wicked.
Jesus said, "My record is true." I know where I came from and where I am going, but you don't.

After all the signs and wonders that Jesus had done just a few days prior when he had fed the five thousand plus, they still demanded of Him a sign. Jesus response was "My Father giveth you the true bread from heaven.

This message this morning we finish our thoughts on the -Pessimistic Faith- that Philip manifested in his answer to Jesus.

Election is a most glorious display of God's sovereign goodness being infinitely free, wise, holy, and unchangeable.

God in reviewing Israel's history, now reviews when He gave them possession of the land and when they were settled in it.

After putting those elders gathered before -Ezekiel, in memory of the first generation that He brought out of Egypt to Mt Sinai and there gave them the law at which they rebelled and He destroyed them in the wilderness. Not only is Satan the tempter and accuser of the brethren, and has the power of death, but as allowed by God he is the author of evil, and the principle power behind the falling away to day, and he end is eternal destruction in the Lake of Fire.

Jesus tells the Twelve that they shall be hated, persecuted and killed and with the exception of John this was accomplished by 70A.D.. It has continued since then and still is today, and is going to be multiplied in the Seven-year Tribulation.
As we take a look at this passage of Scripture, we see that God told Ezekiel you tell them that the Lord God says. We want to think upon this tonight the -Lord God Says.-

These events that Jesus said would occur, were to occur before and at the destruction of Jerusalem. But have continued to occur since then and will continue to, right into the Seven year Tribulation will they will occur in greater magnitude, such has not been since man was on earth.

In our our studies we have been looking at that we are to Give thanks always for all things unto God and the Father through our Lord Jesus Christ. We conclude our studies on this thought this afternoon with the thought Christ is made unto us, therefore, how can I not give thanks unto Him always for all things through my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Jesus had just announced to the scribes and pharisees and his disciples that their house -temple and Jerusalem- was left unto them desolate- and that they would see him no more till they shall say -Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.--Jesus and his Apostles leaving the temple and Jerusalem, his Apostles begin to show Jesus the beauty and magnificence of the temple and its' buildings.
These Elders of Israel who had come and were sitting before Ezekiel, pretending to desire to hear from God- God says to Ezekiel that they had set up idols in their hearts and the stumbling block of their iniquity was before theri faces.
We are to give thanks always for all things to God our Father in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. We are to pray in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Jesus told these Scribes and Pharisees that He was sending unto them His messengers, and he gave them warning,, in which he lamented over Jerusalem and her rebellious state, and therefore she would be left desolate.

God has told Ezekiel the charges he has against the false prophetesses, now he delivers to him his judgment on them for their lying and deceiving the people.
The Scribes and the Pharisees were hypocrites. They were hypocrites in that they taught the Word of God and imposed on the people that they obey it, while they themselves did not. That which they did, they did for the applause of men. But the child of God is to be different.
In that God had said, he did not send these false prophets and false prophetesses, and therefore they were not speaking His Word, they were liars, and the people were believing lies. Truth had perished out of the land.
Good Christian music that is unto the Lord, is harmonious with words that can be understood and is words spoken that are true.

Just as God had delivered to Ezekiel his indictments and judgments against the false prophets, He is now delivering to Ezekiel his dindictments and judgments against the false prophetesses.
The Ephesian Church had been admonished to walk circumspectly as a child of God, making use of every opportunity for the Lord, to be wise and not unwise, and not to be under the influence of intoxicating drink. But we are to be under the influence of the Holy Spirit, we ae to be filled with the Holy Spirit.
Which commandment is the great commandment- Is it any one commandment, or is it particular group of them, or is it all of them-
In the verses 1 - 16 of this chapter God had been telling Ezekiel the indictments and his judgments that he was to deliver against the false prophets. In this message we begin to look at the last portion of this chapter where he is to deliver indictments and judgments against false prophetesses.
We have been instructed to walk circumspectly, as wise children, and making use of every opportunity to serve the Lord and understanding what the will of the Lord is, not being drunk which is excess.
Jesus having temporarily silenced the Pharisees, now has to face the Sadducees and their questions, of which were meant to trap Him and discredit Him with multitude.
The people had built a life of idolatry, and the false prophets had spread it over with whitewash, and they along with the wall will be consumed.

The false prophets shall face rejection, they will be laugh at, mocked, and ridiculed by the people. God shall laugh at them.
We are to see to our walk that it is circumspect and not as fools, but as wise, making use of every opportunity to live for the Lord, because the days are evil. Wherefore we are not to be unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.
Jesus again in response to the question of the chief priests and elders, scribes, and pharisees and their reaction recorded in chapter 21, gives them another parable. This parable is about a king who is preparing a wedding for his son, and calls for guests to come to the wedding.
God is declaring to Ezekiel that these false prophets, because they had seduced His people thus building a wall that had been built with whitewash- there was coming a storm of heavy rain, great hailstones, and wind that would cause the wall to collapse.
We as members of the Lord's church are not to walk as fools doing the works of darkness, but as wise, children of light. Seizing every opportunity to work and witness for the Lord Jesus Christ and His church.
We are to walk accurately, exactly, circumspectly, not as the foolish, but as wise, we are to walk in wisdom which will be to walk circumspectly.

The false prophets and those who follow them, there names are not written in the writing of the house of Israel. They are blotted out the registry of Israel.

The chief priests and elders coming to Jesus as He was teaching in the Temple, the time of the Passover was drawing very near and therefore the day of His crucifixion drawing very near- they came questioning His authority. Wanting to know by what authority he taught in the temple, and by what authority he rode into Jerusalem as a king, and cursed the fig tree, and by what authority he caused them great financial loss in casting out the merchandisers.
These prophets that prophesy out of their own hearts, they are foolish prophets that follow their own spirit, and are like the foxes in the desert. They should have gone into the breaks and closed up the wall for the house of Israel.
