Bryan Fischer here with today’s Life and Liberty Minute. Democrats in Congress have turned President Trump’s tax returns into their quest for the holy grail. This despite the fact that New York has audited his tax returns every year for 40 years, and that as president his finances are audited every year. If there is something there, the Trump-haters in New York would have found it long ago. Plus, Democrats are not entitled to his returns. The president is a citizen of the United States, and all citizens enjoy the protection of the 4th Amendment, which says, “The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers and effects, shall not be violated.” The president’s tax returns are part of his papers, and no warrant can be issued to seize them unless there is issued under probable cause that the President has committed a crime. Try again, Democrats - that dog won’t hunt.
