WE ARE GETTING REAL. Today, I am joined by my friend and co-founder of The Sober Experiment to share drunken moments from our past from the sober perspective we have now. I am not gonna lie, part of me is TERRIFIED to share some of these things with y'all, but the thing is: I'm not in the business of hiding weakness to look "stronger," in fact, I think letting the guard down, getting vulnerable and sharing these moments in a REAL WAY is only indicative of growth and evolution. And of THAT, I am damn proud of.
So, maybe you relate to some of these stories...maybe you think they are CRAZY and totally unhinged...maybe you think, "that's it? my stories are so much worse..." but WHATEVER your reaction is in relationship to your own experiences, just know that if you CRAVE CHANGE, your "rock bottom" moment doesn't have to look any certain way; your rock bottom, "I'm going to change" moment can simply be the moment you put down the shovel, stop digging, and start climbing out.
Let us know what you think about today's episode! Send us a DM, share on social, and/or share with a friend who might need it.
Thanks for listening!

Monday doesn't have to ALWAYS be Day 1. The first day of a new month doesn't have to mean "new goals." You don't have to be a "New You" on January 1... instead...you could just be the person who is consistent in how they show up for their goals, day in and day out.
Here are 7 tips that helped me make the switch this year. Let me know what you think.

Destiny Adams is one of my personal training, online programming, and macro nutrition planning clients. We have been working together consistently for just over a year and her progress has been undeniable. So, a lot of people ask, what's the difference between a client that sees changes like DESTINY (50+ lbs down, 27 overall inches lost, PRs in every lift, mental growth, increased self confidence, even career progression) in the time i work with them, and a client who quits and makes excuses?
Take a listen to find out. I love this episode because it gives a voice to someone who's actively DOING THE WORK and on the journey to her best self. Check it out and let us know what you think.

WE ARE BACK! And y'all I GLOWED UP these past 6 months, I swear. If you haven't been following along on IG, let me share what I mean in this episode. Get ready... Hopefully at least one of these changes I've implemented will inspire you to make some sort of change or improvement in YOUR life because I promise you...you control your destiny more than you know. 10 Changes I’ve made that’ve transformed my life in 6 months: 1. I quit alcohol- this one was the gateway to freeing up time &energy to make the other changes. For me, when alc was a part of my life, it stole SO MUCH of my ME-NESS that I didn’t have the capacity for the rest of these changes. I challenged myself to start w 6 mo, &now, I truly have found the sober side of me, which feels like THE most authentic & glowed-up version of me✨2. I went all in on a health/fitness goal- like ALL in. I started w deciding on WHAT goal (returning to bodybuilding), then set a time frame (6 mo), hired my coach, started my plan & took it one day at a time, showing up daily & trusting the process w/o the option to quit3. I spend time alone- & LEARNED TO LOVE IT. It gets easier the more you practice. Like building a muscle, it’s uncomfy when you’re working on it but the more you do it, the stronger you get. This has transformed the relationship I have w myself & eased so much anxiety in my life4. I’ve experimented w & adopted new hobbies- getting uncomfy baby! Spending my time in new ways has shown me what I’m capable of, opened my eyes to new ppl, new ways to have fun, new challenges & keeps me falling in love w new sides of myself5. 11 min of cold exposure per week- my 4am cold plunge is my fav change I’ve added to my routine. (I have a reel on why I do it if you’re curious about specifics)6. I’ve changed how I spend my money- this goes along w my sobriety. Since not spending money on alc, bars, & nights out, I have more to put toward things that mean more to me or are more positive for me7. I spend time in reflection- constant reevaluation of myself! Pinpointing where I’m winning & where I’m struggling8. I started a new business venture before I was “ready”- The Sober Experiment coaching program! “Ready” is a lie. Start the thing. LEAN IN9. I defined WHO I want to show up as & make decisions based on THAT version of me- this means sacrificing urges and rewriting toxic patterns/habits10. I tightened my social circle- not everyone is owed your energy. Remember that! Love from afar, prioritize who gets access to you & who you surround yourself with🫶🏼--- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/annie-graft/support
Hot Take: WHAT THE HELL, HOW IS IT ALREADY 2023?!? This year, my focus phrase is: "Show up for ME" so, here I am, showing up for this podcast, getting uncomfy and sharing some vulnerable stuuuuufff today.
I'm doing a live autopsy on my 2022 year, what does that mean? Well, we do autopsies on the deceased to figure out what caused death, but why don't we do it before we get to that stage? What I mean is self reflection... getting real with ourselves with what's going right, what's going wrong, what we want more of, what we want less of, etc. So that's what I've been focusing on this past week. I encourage y'all to dig deep within yourselves to figure it out for yourself too! Part of that autopsy is looking at lessons learned/takeaways from experiences you've had. So, here are some of mine from the past 365 days:
1 -Evolving is HARD
2- Just because you didn’t achieve the goals you wrote down at the beginning of 2022
doesn’t mean 2022 was a waste
3- relationships take EFFORT
4- being home sick is a blessing
5- there are seasons to life, be okay with the transitions
6- life goes FAST, make the most of what you have in front of you
7- its easy to spend money, but be mindful that money can’t buy happiness
8- its important to have friends who call you out
9- finding yourself also means meeting the dark sides of yourself…
10- Don’t get complacent, its easy to get into bad habits and its hard to
correct them after too much time

Hot Take: Today I'm sharing 7 tips I have for anyone on a healing journey. Especially post-heartbreak, healing is a difficult journey to undergo, especially if you feel alone in it. I remember feeling SO alone in this season a few years ago as I attempted to pick up the pieces of what felt like my entire life after I left my fiancé. I don't think break ups are talked about enough, so im here to help you see that you are not alone in this. Healing is HARD, but it's so important if you're looking to have a healthy relationship with yourself and ultimately with someone else one day. Healing after heartbreak isn’t always the easiest of tasks… 2 years ago I went through one of the hardest seasons of my life after walking away from my fiancé, 2 weeks before our wedding. I remember searching everywhere in hopes of a literal step by step checklist on how to just feel better… but of course, there was no such thing. Heartbreak is unexplainably challenging and I just want you to know if you are dealing with it, you are not alone. And I don’t want you to feel alone, like I did. So, I wanted to let you in on the fact that I am creating a product to help with the post-heartbreak healing that sometimes is so hard to do, especially when you don’t know what to do or where to turn. Let me help. It’s time to heal with purpose and guidance. Go to: https://www.itsanniegraft.com/healing-after-heartbreak and input your email so you’re first to hear about updates! Hot take: your struggles are actually a superpower, believe it or not. Which i know sounds like toxic positivity, but hear me out. The lessons we learn, the growth we see, and the strength we gain from struggle is something we aren’t able to just happen upon in a picture perfect life. We are shaped and changed my struggle, whatever your struggle my be, and if you choose to see that as a BLESSING, you really can turn it into a super power!! HOT TAKE: Feeling behind in life is a feeling that seems to be more common than you think. Today I'm digging into it and helping you through with it looks like to process that feeling and creating positive action around it, rather than letting it spiral you into a paralyzing shame cycle. Feeling behind in life can come up in 3 different ways: 1. Feeling behind because you're comparing yourself to someone else 2. Feeling behind compared to what you WISH your life looked like 3. Feeling behind compared to where you THOUGHT you should be by now In this episode I touch on some of the feelings you might be having in each scenario and how to move through that and into something more productive for your life. Moral of the story is that the comparison game is a waste of energy and we NEED to get out of that cycle. I talk a lot about how to get out of the comparison game, how to work through the feeling of shame and what that emotion provokes, and how to see "feeling behind" as more of a SIGN to signal either a change of course or just continuing with consistency in what you're after! Hey y'all, its Annie.... WE'RE BACK GETTIN UNCOMFY & I'M SO GLAD YOU'RE HERE WITH ME! Today we're diving into the first episode of this season where I uncover the reasons I decided to leave Mykonos after saying I would stay and work there for the entire summer... The practice of leaving my ego behind and walking away from something that isn't for me is something I learned years ago when I walked away from my engagement, 2 weeks before what was supposed to be my wedding day. Ditching the ego to DECIDE I needed to walk away was hard, but aaaactually building up the courage to physically leave was even harder. So today, we are diving into THAT. I share my experience with Mykonos, and also touch on the event a few years ago that taught me this hard lesson first. Moral of the story is: “Don’t be afraid to walk away…from things, places, and people that leave your soul heavy” DM me on IG if this resonated: @itsanniegraft or @letsgetuncomfy.podcast id love to hear from you! Hustle Culture Drop Out:
what is hustle culture?
Hustle culture carries this overarching belief that the more you do, the more valuable you are
Proponents of hustle culture will tell you that "busier always equals better,” and that constant busyness will always lead to more money, prestige, happiness and high self-esteem.
While hustle culture glorifies overworking as a badge of honor, it often sets up an environment of fear, guilt and shame, especially when you don’t feel like running at the same pace as everyone around you
-Why was I apart of it?
-What did I get from it?
Burnout!!
is when you get to that mental and emotional exhaustion where it just feels like you can't add anything else to the plate and maybe don't have the motivation in the way that you did before
Burnout can look like:

Today we are talking about the 7 things that mentally strong people have in common. Of course, there are many things that can be on this ist but I wanted to share the ones that came up for me the most. Mental health has been on my mind because we are moving into wintertime when mental health tends to become a challenge, people get seasonal depression, the days are shorter, it gets colder and we all need a little more to keep us going.
So my hope is that one of these 7 things inspires you to take action in your life.
Uncomfy moments you don’t want to miss:
(5:47) #1: A mentally strong person moves on, they feel their feelings and process them.
(8:46) #2: Mentally strong people embrace change, they adapt, they figure it out.
(12:00) #3: A mentally strong person actively chooses to be happy, they start their day with intention and take action.
(16:19) #4: A mentally strong person is not judgemental
(19:20) #5: A mentally strong person is willing to take risks
(21:42) #6: A mentally strong person celebrates others successes
(23:30) #7: A mentally strong person is confident

Welcome back, you guys! I am super stoked for today’s episode with Jeremy Ongole.
Jeremy sustained a brachial plexus injury during a motorcycle accident that resulted in the paralysis of his upper left arm. Leading up to the birth of his daughter Jeremy dealt with depression and many physical boundaries. There was a lot of change in Jeremy’s life in the three months between his accident, the birth of his daughter, but without these hurdles, he would not be the fun and master athlete he is now.
I met Jeremy climbing a mountain a year ago, and from that first interaction where he was offering me donuts at the peak of this mountain during the sunrise, I knew I needed his energy in my life.
Moments you will not want to miss in this episode:
(4:30) Jeremy’s story
(14:34) The moment Jeremy’s energy and spirit changed
(25:00) Why competition is a good thing, and how to have healthy competition in your life.
(36:15) Jeremy’s message to anyone going through it right now.

Welcome back to the Let’s Get Uncomfy Podcast! Today we are talking about starting and actually sticking to good habits. We all struggle with setting goals like this and I am no different honestly. We are on this journey together! So, I wanted to share some of the things I have done to get myself to stick to positive habits.
This came up for me on my IG stories and I asked my community what they were struggling with and I am starting off this episode by sharing some of those responses because they are so real! These are the struggles people have on the first day of starting a new positive habit. I think it is really important to recognize these things so that we can overcome them, because if we are not honest with ourselves on where we are at, then we will probably not get to where we want to go.
Tune in and let’s set in some positive habits friends!
Uncomfy moments you won’t want to miss:

Welcome back fam! I hope you have had a good week, please excuse my voice. I just got back from a girl’s trip and lost my voice while I was away. Today’s episode is in response to me feeling very humbled recently because I realized that I am in the think of going through life with you all right now. That is why it has been a little harder for me to create episodes for you and that is why today’s episode is covering the 6 reminders I needed right now, and maybe you need them too.

(12:11) #5 - Remember that we are all human and we are all just trying to figure it out.
(14:20) #6 - It is okay to close chapters in your book, even if you thought it was supposed to be the entire storyline.

Happy Monday!
I am so excited to chat with you guys about how you can find your people, the ones who truly have your best interests in mind. I think one of the biggest things as humans we strive for is deep connections with other people.
After my trip to Greece, I realized that not everyone has those connections, but we are all searching for them. I had so many conversations with people asking me how I meet people, how I made new friends in a new city, or how I make friends while traveling in a different country. So I wanted to break it down for you guys, and this is something you can use whether you are in a new city or the same city you grew up in.
I feel like this is something that can be applied to anyone and I hope it helps you find your people my friend.
Lean into those possible connections, you just never know what is out there.
Uncomfy moments to tune in for
(2:45) Update on my trip to Greece
(5:29) What to do if you are craving connection and are not “extroverted”
(6:00) #1: Go to the places, do the things that you feel called to do, and be a part of.
(6:26) #2: Lean in & engage with other people
(11:39) #3: Be open-minded

Happy Thursday!
Today we are joined by Clarie Brigham, to talk about relationships. Claire and her now-husband Mike have truly been to hell and back again together. Their relationship has stood the test of time only because they chose to walk away, focus on themselves FOR themselves.
This episode truly hits home for me because when I Was going through my breakup I searched for podcasts about breakups just to help me feel like I wasn’t alone, and that things would actually get better.
When you are in the middle of a breakup you feel like things will never be good again, like the sun will never shine. I hope this episode gives you some hope and reminds you that you are an incredible person, who deserves to become the best version of yourself. A partner does not define your ability to be successful, or attractive, or live a good life. You are the only one who gets to decide that.
Moments you will not want to miss!
(3:12) Get to know Claire
(4:45) The beginning of Claire’s relationship story

Hey, fam! Welcome back to the Let’s Get Uncomfy Podcast!
If you are listening to this episode on Monday when it goes live I am currently in Santorini, Greece. So, if you want to follow my travel journey check out my stories on Instagram.
Today I want to share a little bit about mindset shifts, and this began a few days ago when I spontaneously booked my trip to Greece. The reason this came about is that I had originally planned to travel to Tulum with a group of friends, however, they were unable to make that trip happen.
So, I thought to myself “I could sit here and be sad that I am not going to Tulum, or be mad at my friends” OR “this is now opening me up to do something else this weekend”, and this is something that I am meant to do alone. I have not had a complete travel journey alone, where I book things alone, I come home alone and just felt like now is the time to really do it.
The reason I am coming on to talk about this is to share some perspective about the many levels of discomfort we all face to make those big moves in life. You will never stop getting uncomfy, and because of that you will always be growing.
I think the worst thing in the world is to look back wishing you had done something. I would so much rather do something now and have it be scary, have it be uncomfortable, or even have it be a failure. I would rather do it anyway and have the experience, then look back 15 years wishing I would have done it.
So take the leap, my friend. Go get uncomfy.
Powerful moments you don't want to miss:
(2:10) How Greece has been a life lesson for me and can be for you too!
(6:13) My message for you!
(7:15) Why the worst thing in the world is looking back wishing you had done it.

Welcome back, my friends! I am so excited to have you here! We are now almost a week into June, and I can't believe we are this far into 2021 already; it feels like we just started the year still.
Today's episode is special because I had my 26th birthday last week! And I wanted to give y'all 26 lessons for 26 years of Annie Graft. I took a moment after my birthday and wrote down some of the biggest lessons I have learned in my life to share with you.
So here we go!
My 26 Lessons for 26 incredible years:
(3:00) #1 - Everything happens for a reason
(5:20) #2 - My energy matters
(7:23) #3 - Alone doesn't have to mean lonely
(8:53) #4 - Listening to my heart will always bring me to where I am meant to be
(9:55) #5 - I am more than a body.
(11:18) #6 - Chapters end and start, and that's okay.
(13:00) #7 - My ideal life might not be the ideal life of someone else, but that does not mean I need to change.
(14:48) #8 - Connections and relationships are so important
(14:46) #9 - Learning to cope/deal with trauma is hard, and it doesn't happen overnight
(18:06) #10 - I am beautiful
(19:06) #11 - I choose my thoughts and reactions
(21:35) #12 - Never settle
(23:56) #13 - I am the main character of my story
(26:00) #14 - People are not thinking about me, so I will not change my dreams because of someone else's opinion.
(28:33) #15 - Pay attention to people's patterns, not their potential.
(30:07) #16 - Having feelings is a strength
(31:51) #17 - True love is a blessing and not a guarantee
(34:14) #18 - My mental health needs to be exercised just like my body
(35:15) #19 - The hardest moments will make sense one day
(37:10) #20 - Success doesn't come to people; people create it
(37:31) #21 - I will never regret working hard
(38:11) #22 - Judgement is the biggest waste of time and energy
(39:48) #23 - My story is somebody else's road map, so never stop sharing and connecting
(41:06) #24 - Motivation will get you nowhere
(42:22) #25 - Live in the moment
(42:46) #26 - Getting uncomfy will be worth it every time

Welcome back to the Let’s Get Uncomfy Podcast! I am sure you guys noticed I took a bit of a break, but I am back ready to get my messages out to you. I am so excited for the summer podcast season. My heart is feeling pulled to talk more about relationships this season and connections with people so stay tuned for some amazing upcoming episodes.
So, this week's topic is coming from an Instagram story I posted the other day. In this story, I posted my workout and reminded people to lift heavy, and I got a message saying “I wish I had the time to work out, that is why you have such a great body.”
This is something that I think is super important to discuss because it is so easy to fall into this mindset and be stuck there forever.
Let's clear the air, shall we?
If you see someone with a great body, a great relationship, a great career, a great whatever it is. They are not relying on motivation to get them where they want to be, they are choosing to build strong habits that keep them moving towards their goals every single day. The reality is there is no secret sauce, there is nothing that I have access to that you don’t have access to. You have to just show up for yourself, and everybody who is crushing their dreams and goals is not accomplishing these things because they are more motivated or inspired than you. They are accomplishing those things because they work damn hard, they are consistent, and that they are deciding to show up.
If you are relying on motivation to be miraculously be thrown upon you or overcome you with productivity, you are going to be waiting for forever my friend. So get up, get out there and choose to do one thing every day that puts on on your path for success.
Uncomfy moments to tune in for:
(2:00) Season 2 podcast updates!
(2:30) The DM that brought this topic up for me recently.
(4:02) The secret sauce is there is none.
(6:15) My hope for you with this message.

Happy Monday my friend!
In this episode, we will be talking about how gossiping, complaining, and tearing people down affects your mindset, the way people view you, and how it can affect those around you. We will also be diving into how powerful words can be when used both negatively and positively. Together we’ll touch on how traumas, as well as our emotions, can be the reason we talk negatively about ourselves and others. However, we’ll also be talking about how we can face these traumas and harboring emotions so we can reflect on them and use our words to uplift those around us.
Uncomfy & powerful moments to tune in for:
(1:12) Ending of the Intro
(2:05) Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me.
(5:10) What are the words that YOU are saying to other people?
(6:10) Gossip: How often do we speak about other people when they're not there next to us?
(8:27) Complaining: What does it accomplish? Nothing, you are only adding negativity to our life.
(10:34) Tearing People Down: If they can't fix it in 10 seconds then don't bring it up.
(12:10) Words are powerful, although they can be negative, they can also be so positive and affect people in a really great way.
(13:29) How to have a continuing positive mindset
(14:38) How you can tell what's on the inside by what's coming out of their mouth.
(17:16) We all have the stuff to fix, heal from, and address to be able to reflect.

Welcome back fam! I am so grateful you are here with me on this wonderful Thursday! Today I wanted to share something a little more personal that came from a quote that I just wanted to share with you all. The quote is “I don’t care how justified you feel in holding a resentment, it’s a dumb game, it’s like throwing dust in the wind. Who do you think that dust is going to come back too?”
Ooof! When I read this I like YES. This is what I needed to hear right now and what needs to be shared, because believe me the universe has the perfect response to whatever that person may have done to you. You do not need to oversee that something comes to that other person from their actions. And guess what? That resentment that you hold, it’s not affecting them, it's affecting you, it's affecting your attitude, it's affecting the way you look at your life, it's affecting the way you look at yourself.
Hence, this energy is becoming your life. We are only here for a finite amount of time, so why are you spending it resenting someone when you can choose love. You can choose to have a big heart and set boundaries, and still do what is right for you. So if you are someone who wishes ill on people who caused you harm. This episode is for you.
I encourage you to dig deep and get to the root of your resentment.
Uncomfy moments to tune in for:
(2:00) Why resentment should not even be on your radar.
(4:11) What to do if you are holding resentment.
(6:45) How to keep giving love and wish people the best, set your boundary, walk away.
(13:22) Who are you angry at? What emotions are holding you back from wishing people well?

Welcome back! I am so grateful you are here with me today. I took a few days off, but I’m back, and I wanted to share something with you guys, something that's very real, very personal, something I'm going through that I just wanted to share with you guys because that is what we do here. We share the real, and I do not hold back. So, today we are talking about the seasons of life because I believe that there we are constantly evolving through multiple seasons of life. And these seasons are all a part of our journey for a reason. It's time to trust your gut, my friend. Remember, life is not that serious, and nothing is that permanent so go for it.
Powerful moments to tune in for:
(1:53) Understanding the seasons of life.
(3:25) Why it’s okay to shift your priorities through your seasons.
(4:51) How you might be setting yourself up for burnout and failure.
(5:31) I think women are very intuitive, and you know what feels right. There's a difference between feeling in alignment with something and when you're forcing something.
(8:22) The difference between knowing what feels right and what is not in alignment.
(9:47) What my gut is telling me this season, and why I am leaning in.
(10:48) Trust that gut, life is not that serious, and nothing is that permanent so go for it.

Welcome back, fam! We took a little break there, and I just wanted to come back and share a thought that has heavily been on my mind. This thing we are all taking too seriously called life. I think just this year I have really realized that we are taking life way too seriously.
A little bit of back story, my mother lost her mother this last fall, and I think my grandmother’s passing brought up the reality of life coming to an end. So, my family decided to make a book with all their stories like an autobiography. I got my copy in the mail, and it is so cute and there I am holding it in my hands, 284 pages of memories that happened to my grandpa. I am looking at this book thinking, in 60 years, what stories will I have in my book?
I challenge you today to think about what stories you will have in your book because I promise you that good life, a good story isn’t going to come from you playing it safe. The best of your life is yet to come, all you have to do is choose it, to lean in, and give it all you got.
We get one life, my friends. Let’s make it a good one.
Uncomfy moments to tune in for:
(3:01) What would you put in your book of memories?
(5:00) Why you can’t live a good life without making mistakes
(10:03) Remember, you have all the time to create your epic stories.

Welcome back, my friend! Thank you for tuning in again this week. I am so excited to talk to you about something that came up for me in the last week. I spoke about it on my Instagram. If you missed it because you are not following me on Instagram, please pop over there, and let’s connect! My handle is @ItsAnnieGraft on IG, Tik Tok, and yea, all the places really.
Today I want to talk to you about how powerful your mind is because what I have realized this last year is that life is 75% mental, which means what you think, what goes on inside your head, and 25% action. And guess what? That 75% becomes your reality because the thoughts that you think become the actions you take.
So what action are you taking today? Whatever it is I believe in you!
Powerful moments to tune in for:
(2:25) Why ACTION matters, get out of talking the talk and truly step into your dreams.
(5:01) What you can do when you are stuck in a fear and scarcity mindset.
(6:47) Your thoughts matter because what you believe about yourself is ultimately true.
(8:46) Remember, the future doesn’t have to be scary.

Welcome back to the Let’s Get Uncomfy Podcast! I am so excited you are here with me today on this lovely Thursday! Today we are talking about a mindset shift, and I wanted to bring this up because I know a lot of people out there are rolling their eyes when I talk about manifesting. But manifesting is not just a woo-woo concept; when you really look at it, manifestation is focusing your mind so that your reality reflects what you dream of. Your thoughts control your perspective, and your perspective becomes your reality. Your thoughts form the direction and path you will go down in this life.
So, if you are struggling with really diving into manifestation, this episode is for you because we look at manifestation as a mindset shift that is 100% achievable and attainable by you. YOU are in control of your life, your intentions, and your thoughts. It's time to take action, friends. You can do anything you shift your focus to.
Powerful moments to tune in for:
(2:15) A message for you if you are struggling to believe in manifesting.
(6:33) How to shift your focus to align with your dreams and goals.
(8:40) Focus on what you want by being intentional with your thoughts, your content consumption, and your thoughts.
(11:08) Embracing your ability to choose what you take in and allow to alter your life.

Welcome back fam, we are here it’s Monday I am so excited but first I wanted to apologize for not having an episode for you all last week on Monday. And to be completely honest, that is why I wanted to do this episode.
So, today’s episode is a quarterly check-in as if I was just sitting with you having a drink or catching up over coffee because I have some stuff that I have coming up in my life that may be valuable to you. We just closed out the first quarter of 2021 and it’s important to check in on yourself, see where you are at with those new year resolutions, or goals. It is really easy to set goals at the beginning of the year or the month and get off track. Then before you know it we are halfway through the year and you forgot about what goals you had.
Powerful moments to tune in for in this podcast:
(1:20) How my goals have been for a large majority of my life.
(2:31) Understanding the seasons of your life so that you can still accomplish what you set out to do.
(3:20) Where I am at, life update.
(6:47) Giving yourself grace and what choosing this path has taught me.
(13:30) My tip for you in looking towards your next three months and looking back.

What’s up fam! Today’s episode is going to be short and sweet, and to the point and I hope that it resonates with you.
I have talked about how to handle other people doubting you a lot on this podcast, but today I want to talk about the fact that you are the only person standing in your own way and the moment you realize that you stop acting out of fear. You stop acting like other people care what you are doing because at the end of the day no one else cares about what you are doing more than you care about what you are doing. You have control over your actions and what you pursue or walk away from.
And once you realize this, and OWN IT, your entire life will change.
Are you ready?
Powerful moments to tune in for:
(1:10) The number one thing standing in your way
(5:10) Why don’t you feel worthy, or capable? What is really stopping you?
(6:20) How to avoid getting down on yourself and take action on a dream.

You have to fill your cup to be able to pour it into someone else’s cup. So today we are talking about what to do if you are mentally exhausted or are feeling like you are sliding into a depressive season. I share with you my 4 signs of being mentally exhausted which are:
1 -You are losing interest in things that typically excite you.

3- You find it hard to step into your daily habits.

Whenever I have these changes happen in my life, I know it is time to pause and reflect on what my body is telling me. I also take some time to see what my inner child is trying to teach me or heal from through what is happening to me at this time in my life. I will have more on how to do inner child work on an upcoming episode, DM me if this is a topic that interests you!
Moments to tune in for!
(2:26) My most asked question: Am I actually mentally exhausted or am I being lazy, and what do I do about that?
(4:15) 4 Ways to tell if you are mentally exhausted.
(15:40) What to do if you are experiencing mental exhaustion.

Hello Uncomfy FAM!
Today we are switching it up and I am doing a solo episode for fun, and before we dive in I want to remind you that I will be sending out a customized T-shirt to a review that is left on Apple podcasts! So if you haven’t left a review yet get on it, my friend.
This episode is about priorities and checking ourselves when we compare priorities among one another. But the reality of life is we all are in different phases of our lives some of us are single, being more selfish while others are giving all they have to their families. Neither of these is more right or more productive than the other. Every season brings new priorities and that is okay, but it is important to make sure they align with who you want to be.
Important moments to tune in for:
(2:40) Understanding the different places we are in life and what that means for our priorities.
(5:10) Are your priorities mirroring your schedule?
(7:21) Why you should not judge yourself because your priorities are different than someone else.

Today we are talking health, nutrition, and fitness habits. As well as my own journey to where I am now. I am not saying my way is the only way to find a balance between nutrition and fitness, but I wanted to share my story and lessons I have learned to help you along your own journey.
If there is one thing I have learned in this life is that things are always shifting, I am always learning and growing and sometimes making not-so-great decisions. BUT every single one of those decisions and phases of discomfort truly brought me so much knowledge that I use every single day. I hope that you are able to listen to this episode and have it inspire you to keep moving forward with all of your goals because that is how you make them happen. Not by standing still paralyzed by shame, or fear, or guilt, or anything else. You get to where you want to be by never giving up, no matter how hard it feels my friend.
I believe in you!
Powerful moments to tune in for:
(3:30) Review of the week.
(4:30) My health and fitness at the beginning with gymnastics.

Today’s episode is going to be real, real, you guys. I am about to get the most uncomfy because I want you to know that we are all human. We are all struggling with, truth, fully very similar issues and concerns. And you are not alone, and I know that looking at social media can make us feel very alone, but you are not.
So I want to share something that I am going through right now, and truthfully, it is tough to share this with you because so many people look up to me, and if I were to make it known that I am not ok, people would lose respect for me. But I realized that I need to share this, I need to show up so that you and anyone else listening and struggling knows it is okay to not be okay.
The most successful people in the world are not always at the peak of their lives, they often struggle, cry, break down and grieve. They are only human, just like you and me, they feel all the feels. So I hope this episode really helps someone out there today, and if you feel this resonate with you please share it with a friend, DM me your experience. Let's show up for one another in those valleys, not just at the peaks. Shall we?

Last week a friend of mine texted me last week asking how I felt about Hawaii, like going to Hawaii in the next 48 hours. And you know what? I sent it! I came out to Hawaii and leaned into my spontaneous side!
How often do you talk about taking spontaneous trips but then turn it down as soon as an opportunity presents itself?
So this episode is all about being a yes person, it is about being a person who leans into their dreams because you know what happens when you make decisions with you as the priority? When you lean into the uncertainty of what you want, you are giving others around you the permission to do the same.
Time Stamps:
(1:20) How I ended up in Hawaii within 48 hours of the opportunity presenting itself.
(3:29) Why having too much freedom was a problem in my life.
(5:20) What is something you haven’t allowed yourself to accept?
(7:15) Why you should be doing what your heart desires, follow your gut and how you have been conditioned to not do it.
(13:16) You can’t plan every little thing in your life.

Today I have a very applicable topic for you guys because let’s be honest we are all going through it right now and have so much we are processing. So today I wanted to expand on a story that I posted on my Instagram a few weeks ago where I shared that I was starting to train for a marathon.
This is something huge for me because I have always told myself that I was not a runner, that I could not do it. But my friend and I decided to begin training for a marathon together after she inspired me to run a marathon.
So today I wanted to dig talk to you about how the thing you are avoiding the thing that you do not want to do at all, is what will bring you the most growth. It may not even be something that you don’t want to do, this could be a really difficult time or low moment in our lives.
But what if those things created a massive breakthrough for you?

Happy Monday my friend!
I am so grateful you are here, today I am digging into some of the biggest lessons I have learned that totally changed the course of my life. And the funny thing is, they were not taught to me in school or in my upbringing. They have been life lessons that I learned through experience. Many of us get caught up in trying to live life a certain way because that’s how we were brought up or that’s what we learned in school and we don’t consider that there could be another way. These lessons have been some of the most valuable things I’ve learned throughout the course of my life.
Time Stamps
(2:58) I am the main character of my own story
(3:28) There is no one that’s going to do it for you
(4:31) It’s never a right time
(5:03) No one ever taught me that I need to work on my mental health as much as I need to work on my physical health
(6:00) We have to train our thoughts as much as we have to train our body

Welcome back, my friends!
Today we are going to tap into a little note I have written for myself to my former self. My 16-year old self, because I think there is so much to learn from our past experiences and although it is not good to get caught up in the past and what you did or did not do. It can be good to reflect on things and use them as a lesson to propel your growth forward as we move into a new year especially.
This stemmed from a journal prompt that asked me to write down what I would tell my 16-year old self, and I loved this prompt and encourage you to make your own list after you listen to this episode.
Important moments to tune in for:
(3:25) Not everybody is going to like you, and that is ok. Do not change yourself for them.
(6:40) You learn more from failure than you do from success.
(9:35) Stop chasing boys, let them pursue you. (Don’t chase people who wouldn’t put that energy into you.
(15:05) Don’t wait for someone to fall in love with you, fall in love with yourself.
(16:50) Food is not to be feared, fuel your body, love yourself.
(25:10) Life is meant to be lived and loved.
(29:09) Don’t be in such a rush to grow up.
(30:15) Stop worrying about what everyone thinks about you.
(31:52) Bonus Tip

Hello, my uncomfy family, I hope you have had wonderful holidays! Today’s episode ties into something that gets some bright lights shined on it during the holidays and it ain’t always pretty.
That is our relationship. Every year we go through phases of growth and sometimes other people are not aligned with who you are becoming, or you are not aligned with who they are becoming. It can be really sad to loose a good freaking friend, but the reality is that this is how life is. Every friend we make happens for a reason, just like everything else in our lives.
But when we can recognize that these changes are benefiting us, we can embrace the change with a humble heart and know good things are on their way.
Powerful moments in this episode to tune in for:
(3:03) My experiences with relationships
(7:00) Getting out of thinking about or focusing on the negative
(9:06) Working through the seasons of growth along the journey
(10:35) Finding your new community when you lose someone, or the energy doesn’t match.

Today we are working on getting unstuck because I have been hearing “I’m stuck, or I think I might just be stuck right now”, and this is a feeling I know so well. Happy Holiday Season Fam!
With it being the season of celebration I really wanted to make sure that there was a conversation had around alcohol and substances. So today I am joined by Rachel Bowling who is SO educated on this topic, she is a substance use disorder counselor, a coach, a writer, and a military veteran.
Today we are talking about substance abuse, being sober, properly taking care of yourself through the holidays. As we all know the holidays stir up a lot of things within all of us and sometimes we fall into unhealthy coping mechanisms because they are what feels safe to us. When in reality those coping habits are pulling us away from being our best selves, and retracting any growth we may have accomplished recently.
If this hits home I hope that you know you are not alone and if you need to please reach out to a professional.
Time Stamps:
(3:40) Rachel’s story
(7:38) How and when did you know that your use or drinking became an issue?
(11:20) Do you think when people with addictions say that they are fine they truly mean that or are they lying to themselves when responding like that?
(13:10) Annies personal experience being sober
(15:30) Do you think there is a place and a time for sobriety and are there benefits of it? What are those benefits?
(17:19) Tips for people who are considering sobriety in their lives.
(20:48) Question about Rachel’s Instagram phrase: ‘I use to binge drink every weekend and thought it couldn’t be an issue because I was doing it with friends.’
What Rachel has to say about this mindset.
(27:25) Have you experienced negative feelings when you’ve failed at keeping an intention or goal, and if so how did you work through that?
(34:09) Can you dive into the basics of using psychedelics as a healing tool?
(45:41)Rachel’s hard no and hell yes.

Today we’re going to talk about starting before you’re ready. Because oftentimes, if you're waiting until you’re ready, you're never actually going to start. So I'm here to tell you that so much of life is about starting before you're ready, and not waiting for the right time, not waiting until you know all the things, not waiting for the right feeling.
A lot has to do with the fear of not making the right decision. We put so much pressure on ourselves and we’re looking for approval from others, from family and friends, to assure us we’re making the right decision But you know what, it’s okay to not make the right decision.
It’s about figuring it out, and standing back up, and trying again, in pivoting and shifting and reworking and re deciding and leaving certain things behind and pursuing new things. That's the journey.
Time Stamps:
(2:00) The influence of our society and the way we’re raised on our ability to start before we’re ready
(4:30) My personal experience with starting before I am ready.
(10:45) How I leaned on other people to make decisions and what that means for our habits.
(11:50) How breaking free and making my own decisions was the start of my business and life as it is today
(13:29) The character traits I learned by starting before I’m ready and how I learned all the things I needed to know to be an entrepreneur
(14:30) Being scared to start before you’re ready is a habit
(20:40) It’s about the journey, not the arriving upon a decision
(24:00) How journaling and putting up an action plan will help you to start before you’re ready

Welcome back, my friends!
I hope you are having a great week, and are ready for a deep episode.
Today I wanted to talk about transitions and the fear that comes with these seasons of transitions because I feel like that is what 2020 has been for most of us. It has been a whirlwind of a year with COVID, quarantine, job losses, our community outlets closing, all of these changes add up and ultimately affect our mood, our energy, our overall lives. But the important thing to remember in all of these transitions is that you are in control. YOU, my friend, have all the tools to make the rest of this year what you want it to be.
This episode is a little different, I share with you some of the revelations I have had come up for me when I lean into these seasons of transition. I also discuss the regrets that come with transitions, as well as the possibilities that come with taking the chance on that heart tug you have in your gut.
I hope you love this episode and if it hits home for you please share it with a friend, leave a review or share it on your social media and tag me! @itsanniegraft on Instagram.
Time Stamps:
(5:40) The fear that goes into changing something about your life.
(8:44) The regrets that come up with seasons of transition.
(11:09) Getting past the expectations that come with a transition.
(14:20) Playing with the possibilities of taking that chance on what you want to do.
(19:00) Allowing your inner knowing to surface and guide you.

Happy MONDAY my uncomfy fam!
I am so excited to share this episode with you because this topic has been on my mind a lot the last week. As always please leave a review if you are inspired by this episode or even better share with a friend who would think would love some support in this area of their lives.
In this episode, I am sharing 10 reasons that I believe we should practice being alone. These 10 things are lessons or skills that I have learned when I make time to be alone in my life. If you are like "I am never alone Annie, that seems scary and weird", then this episode is for you my friend! Because being alone is one of the best gifts we can give to ourselves, it is how we heal and how we grow. Our society often conditions us to be with people to always be connected through social media, emails, texts, or calls, but if you do not make time to be by yourself you will never know where you begin and the people around you begin.
I hope you keep these 10 things in mind as we move into the holidays and the COVID version of the holidays. Make sure you are taking care of yourself, for yourself. You deserve to live an incredible life and practicing being alone is one of the ways you will get there!
Powerful moments to tune in for:
3:13 My season of transition into making time to be alone.
6:10 #1 - Everything I need is already within me.
10:35 #2 - The ability to listen to your heart tugs.
12:19 #3 - Development in problem-solving skills.
13:56 #4 - The ability to appreciate the beauty around you.
15:56 #5 - Learning to talk to yourself, hype yourself up, and work through things on your own.
16:53 - Gaining appreciation for others.
19:04 #7 - Helps me avoid mindless consumption.
20:48 #8- Having the space to create.
22:48 #9 - Building mental health & strength
24:32 #10 - Increased independence and trust in yourself.

Have you ever felt the tug to start a new project, launch a new business, or find yourself wishing there was something you could do to impact others? But you talk yourself out of it; you let fear overwhelm you and let it kill that creative flame? This episode is for you, my friend because today we are talking about leaning into fear. Understanding the risks that come with fearful moves in life but not letting them stop us from taking action.
This week I was DM’d by a new friend on Instagram, and she asked me for some advice on pursuing something that seemed so scary for her, something that she saw as risky. She inspired me to talk about this more in-depth because fear is a natural part of our lives; we have it to keep us safe and alive in situations that could kill us, like when we are in a forest or something, you know? However, I think it has gotten out of hand, and we are now at a point where fear stops us from taking risks when fear is really meant to push us into doing something about our situation.
I hate so much that there is this cultural thing that we allow to rule our lives, that if we feel fear, we need to stop. When, in fact, I think fear is a reason to go for it. So this is my call to action for you this week. It is time to look fear in the face and go for it, my friend, because you never know who you may impact by taking that risk.

Happy Monday Ya’ll!
Welcome to the uncomfy fam! You are now officially part of the fam, I hope you are having a great day and ready to dive into another personal development tool that will empower you to live your best life.
Today we are digging into the importance of habits and understanding how our habits create the lives we live. This thought came to me during my morning walk, which is a habit that I have been building through all of 2020. In January I set myself a goal that I would set time and do an intentional walk for at least a mile. This weekend while on my walk I realized how much this habit has transformed the rest of my life and changed other bad habits in my life to good habits.
Time Stamps:
3:05 How my morning mile habit has changed my life.
5:20 Bringing awareness to your bad habits and changing the game for yourself, and getting out of your own way.
10:32 Changing habits and the mindset around your lifestyle.

Welcome back to the Let’s Get Uncomfy Podcast!
I am so grateful you are here with me on this wonderful Thursday. In this episode, we are digging into the topic of selfishness, and we are going to take a look at the shame around being selfish.
This topic came up for me through a session with my mindset coach Hilay Farooq. I had her as a guest a few weeks back and after that episode, I realized I needed to invest in my feminine alignment, so I hired Hilay and have been digging into the divine feminine within me. This means working on attracting things in life instead of doing, doing, doing, work, work, work. In our session, she led me through a breakthrough while doing this exercise around selfishness, and the shame and guilt that was instilled in me over the years.
So today I want to lead you through that exercise and talk about re-examining selfishness. Because I have found the biggest growth move in my life happened after acting out of self-interest, or self-preservation. But someone else thought it was just pure selfishness.
Important moments to tune in for in this episode:
3:03 Working with Hilay on the divine feminine and how selfishness was brought up in my life recently.
6:31 Why I believe selfishness is not a dirty word, and how to change your perspective around selfishness.
12:00 The exercise Hilay and I did to work thorugh the icky feelings surrounding selfishness.
19:50 Embodying selfishness to empower yourself and not give control to others by shaming you.

Today we are talking comparison, and I am going to be completely honest I am still working on this myself. So what I want to do today is share some of the things I have realized and strategies I use when I feel comparison come up for me in my life, because there are some ways to use these feelings in a positive way. When we learn to reframe our mindset around comparison we open up the possibilities to reframing other not so great habits that we may have built over the years of social media and imposter syndrome. I hope you love this episode and if you do share it with a friend who might need a little bit of love in this area of life. Because the reality is we all are going through it, especially with this curveball of a year. But we have a few more months left that we can either put towards growth, or we can keep doing the bad habits that make us feel like crap. The choice is yours, my friend.
(2:50) Comparison is prominent within everyone. * (6:41) The effects of comparing yourself to others: Anxiety, Negative Self Talk, Depression, & keeping up with the Joneses * (13:01) My 8 Tips to Overcoming Comparison: #1 - Be aware of your triggers and avoid them * (21:22) Social media is a Snippet * (25:02) Positive Poses and Affirmations * (27:34) Starting your day with gratitude

Happy Monday fam!
This week is going to be a little different, I felt the heart tug to shake things up a bit by doing two solocasts this week. We are switchin it up today my friends and talking about the struggles we often have with ourselves while in a relationship. To give us some insight I am joined by Kiley Farrell, a fellow podcast host and incredible role model when it comes to taking a stand for yourself and putting in the work to cultivate a beautiful relationship. Kylie shares with us how her 2-year break from her boyfriend allowed her to make time for herself and do the inner work around the issues she was having come up in her relationship. She found clarity through this split as hard as it may have been at times, and eventually, the two love birds found their way back to one another. But thanks to their time apart the two were stronger, more capable partners. They could finally show up for one another as themselves and have true communication on a daily basis.
I hope this episode inspires you to give yourself grace for the mistakes that happen and pushes you to remember that a relationship with someone else is just as important, if not more important than the relationship you have with yourself.
If you loved this episode please share it with a friend & if you were moved by this please tag me on social media or DM me your story. I love hearing from you!
Powerful moments in this personal development episode: (6:45) Kylie’s story and background (11:43) How Kylie knew she needed to focus inward and leave her relationship. (14:30) The contrast over time that brought change into Kylie’s life. (20:15) Why working on yourself in a relationship doesn’t always work. (36:40) How a partner can work on themselves while you work on yourself even if broken up. (39:15) How healing from a past relationship and rekindling worked for Kylie. (45:47) What her relationship looks like now and how they cultivated a deep communication between each other/

Happy Monday my uncomfy fam!
I hope you are ready for an incredible week and an episode where get real about what fear is really supposed to do for us in our lives and how you can practice harnessing those fears, to live a life that lights you up every single day!
We feel fear as humans because that sense of fear is what kept us alive against predators back in the day and kept us out of countless other life-threatening situations. But as we have evolved into the modern world, the things we need to fear physically that are life-threatening have lessened and changed. However, our sense of fear has often not evolved with us, even though we are not having our lives threatened consistently in such a drastic manner, we let fear control our decisions. We let fear run the show when really fear was meant to make us GO!
If you love this episode please share it with a friend & leave me a review down below! I love hearing the breakthroughs you had while listening and am so excited to see you shinin my friend!
Timestamps:
5:15 What is the purpose of fear?
9:50 Why growth is not possible if you are unwilling to pursue the unknown.
12:01 Diving into the three biggest fears around a new project or business.
14:15 An exercise to overcome your fears and make it a call to action.
18:45 What you would gain if you were to fail a business or project.

Today I am joined by my best friend Haley Henderson who is a thriving business owner and empowering person. Haley recently followed her heart tugs and started her own podcast called Step Up Step Out Podcast! (check it out if you haven’t already).
In this episode, we are talking about mindset, and how your mindset could be the culprit to you being in a place that you are not happy in. But you know what is great about being in this place?
YOU have the power to change it.

Do you know what makes them different than you? They show up, they get out of that comfort zone and take messy action. We all start from ground zero, we all struggle, we all face challenges. But it is what you do with those challenges that will help you build a life that you love.

Welcome back, fam!
I am so grateful you are here and if this is your first episode, thank you for stopping by my new friend. This episode is a little different; we are going to shake things up by putting ourselves in the shoes of other people for a minute because this is something that so many of us do not do. Even though we are all here sharing one earth, one lifeline, one cab, one bus, one gym, we hardly ever think of the people around us, and it is time to shake up that thought process.
So this week we are talking about how perspective shapes our reality, and how our perspective can sometimes lead us to judging others when we have no clue what the heck is going on in their lives.
What if we all started to shift our perspective to a view where we consider the best in people, we show them grace for being a little in a rush or snappy, where we catch our judgemental thoughts without acting on them and shut them down. Because you never know how the love you show someone can affect someone else's day, their actions, their mood, their attitude or the way they will go on to treat other people.
I want to challenge you to start addressing judgement within yourself, and I am going to do this too because trust me I still have some judgemental thoughts that come into my mind. I am human too, but we can be the change we want to see in the world by doing small things like this guys.
Share this episode with someone you think would benefit from this shift in perspective & dont forget to leave me a review down below with your thoughts! I love hearing from you.
Important moments to tune in for in this personal development episode:
[3:30] Taking a look at two perspectives within one story
[10:10] Giving grace and putting yourself in other people's shoes.
[15:00] How to catch yourself in judgment and begin to do the work within yourself to stop it.
[20:36] Challenging yourself to make a change.

Happy Monday fam!
Today I wanna dive into a talk that might be a little bit intense for some of you, but I want you to know that I am not trying to shame you or judge you. So if you are listening to this and at some point are like "ouch", then maybe it is something you should really apply to your life. Take this as your sign my friend, because I believe in you and through these uncomfy talks we are becoming our best selves.
This episode is all about intention and how that plays into excuses, complaints, and ultimately the success we see in our lives. It's human nature to complain about the things we don't have and make excuses about why we don't have it, and then accept it as not meant to be for us. When really the missing piece is intention. We often lack the intention behind what we want to work past the excuses that come up for us.
Bu think of it this way, we each get 24 hours in a day. You, me, your family, that person you admire, we all have 24 hours in a day and the only difference between you and them is the priorities you make with the intentions you set. You can have that bangin body, you can have that successful business, you can have it all. That is why in this episode, I share two excercises or practices that have changed my life and will change yours too!
You are a priority, it is time to truly act on that fact girlfriend.
Because you do have time, and you are worth the energy!
*** If you love this episode and want to hear more let me know in your 5 star review!! & don't forget to leave your IG handle so I can shout you out and tag you!
Powerful moments in this personal development podcast:
4:02 A practice to help you change your internal narrative so that you can reach your goals.
7:10 How to prioritize your time and use your time in a way that best serves you.
11:03 Why your life won't change in 5 years unless you start setting intentions
12:01 An exercise on how to start setting intentions and make yourself a priority.
16:07 How to prepare for the excuses that come with changing your routine.

If you listen to this podcast, you know we dish out the real, real, we give it how it is and don’t sugar coat anything. This episode is no different if you are someone who struggles with abuse, addiction, or anything along those lines. This episode might be triggering for you, but I encourage you to listen if that is you, because this episode may shed some light on the light at the end of the addiction tunnel.
This is a topic that has been highly requested in my DM’s, and I know that there are people out there who are struggling with addiction, whether it is a current or past addiction, or whether it is something that you may think is not strong enough to be considered an addiction. Addiction comes in all forms; it can come up as a food addiction or has a Netflix addiction. If you are finding yourself every Monday saying you will make a change and then giving up by Friday, it is time to break the cycle.
Our guest Anneke Gyulavary, is a naturopath student and certified personal trainer from Melbourne, Australia. She joins us to share her recovery story. She also shares with us why many people are predisposed to addiction due to abuse in our childhoods, and how she went from a small town gal with so many possibilities to being consumed by her addiction.

5:04 The signs of addiction that Anneka now sees in her childhood that no one picked up on.

Today we are talking about confidence because there is a notion around that you are born with all the confidence you can have, that you are born with all the confidence you deserve and that my friends, is not even a little bit true.
In this episode, I share my journey to building my confidence and what my confidence was like in high school. What tools I cultivated to break the cycle of shame, guilt and belief that I was not worthy. So that I could become the empowered version of myself you see today.
My goal with this episode and telling you my stories is to call you to action, to take that leap and get yourself out of the mindset, out of the habit of thinking “if I am not confident, I guess that it is not going to happen for me, that is just not who I am.” Because confidence is like a muscle, you build it, you cultivate it by taking action every day and reinforcing your belief in yourself.
No one was born with confidence, not me, not that person you admire on Instagram, not even JLO was born with confidence. We each created it, and the cool thing about that is that YOU can do it too!
We each have the ability as humans to cultivate what we want in our lives, and that is exactly the case with confidence.
Powerful moments in this personal development podcast:
[1:36] Our amazing Uncomfy fam 5-star review shout outs!
[3:46] What you can do to have more “Annie” energy in your life.
[5:10] Where my confidence was in high school, how I broke out of shaming myself and pretending to be like someone else.
[8:50 How to create confidence.
[10:23] How do you be better? Unlearn your limiting beliefs and grow your confidence?!
[14:49] Why you should not feel guilty or shame yourself for where you are with your confidence in your life right now.
[15:02] Why taking action is the biggest leap you will take for your confidence, goals and life long dreams!
[22:25] How I got to where I am with my confidence and how YOU can take the steps meant for you to have the confidence you want.

Today we are going to dive deep into the uncomfy conversations that happen around dieting, binge eating, and the mindset that can change it all for you, my friend!
I am joined by one of my incredible adventure buddies Caitlen Schmidt. Caitlen is a wonderful science nerd, who loves everything about human metabolism, nutrition, and wellness. She is on a mission to help women escape diet-ism and feel so good in their own skin that they wanna run around naked, and truly love themselves! In this episode, we are going in a totally different direction with our discussion around wanting to be a smaller pant size, counting macros, and intuitive eating. Both Caitlen and I have been in places where macros ran our lives, where restricting ourselves was the answer to feeling like we were worthy of loving ourselves or receiving love from others. But we are here to break that norm with the science behind your metabolism so that you can re-write your epic story around being healthy.
I hope that you are inspired by this episode to keep working on your self-love journey because you are not alone in this thought process, but you are so very loved. You are so very special because there is no one else in this entire world like you!

Today we are talking about weird shaming.
This topic has been heavily on my mind; lately, it is weird how our society and culture will try to shape us to be ‘normal’. I have been told I was weird, to stop being so intense, to change this or change that, to be more normal my entire life. I tried to fit into a square peg into a round hole and was left on the outside so many things. Until one day I decided to embrace my weirdness and build my dream life! I myself am a firm believer that if we showed up as our most authentic selves, we would cultivate an incredible world full of truly happy people.
Because what is ‘normal’? Who decides what is ‘normal’?
We live one life. You, my friend, only have one life so don’t waste it trying to be ‘normal’. Whatever your weird thing is, whatever the world has tried to get you to think is weird about yourself or unacceptable about yourself. I challenge you to pursue it today. Step into it. One step, do one thing today.
Time Stamps
[3:31] My growth journey & how I embraced being my weird self.
[7:30] Why diving into the authentic and real you will open the doors to a life you are obsessed with.
[10:50] The key that you hold to your superpower!
[14:48] My call to action for you today!

Welcome back fam! Today I have a powerful interview for you. We are addressing inequality and injustice with Eboni Ward. Eboni is a mom, life, and fitness coach, she is an entrepreneur, and today we getting uncomfy about inequality.
If you immediately have the urge to shut this episode off or you are already feeling defensive by reading the title of this episode. I encourage you to stick it through with us. This is a profound episode and I know there are people out there who were just like me completely unaware of the injustice happening around us. It is time to sit in our feelings and self reflect because this is a human problem. It is not irrelevant to you no matter what your skin color is.
Racism is real it is an ongoing issue in all of our communities and the only way to change this is to step up and learn the lessons we need to learn to move forward together. We need to take responsibility for our naive upbringing, we need to take responsibility for our actions because if we don’t we will not grow passed the racist roots that our country is grown on top of.
I hope this episode teaches you as much as it taught me. I honestly have had my eyes opened up so much through everything that has happened over this summer and I want to be a part of the changes coming for our future generations. It's like Maya Angelo once said “Do the best until you know better when you know better do better”
We gotta do better fam. I am going to do better and hopefully, this helps you realize that we all can do better together.

I am coming on in full emotion today. I just spent an hour crying in my car, and I don’t know who needs to hear this, but I want you to know you are not alone. I want you to know that the moments that have you crying in your car are what shape you. We can’t have good days without having bad days my friends. This is real life, the low moments are inevitable but the important thing is these low moments are not what defines you. What you do after going through these hard moments is what defines you as a business owner, as a mom, as a girlfriend, as a wife, as a best friend, as an athlete. It’s what you do next that will push you to grow, that will build your personal development, change your mindset, and ultimately change your life.
In this episode, I share some tips and exercises I do on my bad days. Because what I have realized is that allowing a bad day to dictate your day, productivity, or energy is not the way you grow. That is the way you remain stuck. Life is hard, and I get that. But think about it, what if you are going through this hard timeto be able to push past it, to perceiver to keep going through it, to learn from it. To be able to teach somebody else down the road who is going to need you to coach them through it because they're going through the same thing.
Let's get uncomfy ya'll because when we are uncomfy when we are crying in the car, we are making room for growth in our lives in ways we didn't even know were possible.
If this episode resonates with you please share it on IG and tag me or leave a review on Apple Podcasts. These small steps are how we make the world a better place.

[10:00] Planning your pivot from the things that are not helping you grow.
[12:05] Feeling your emotions, getting vulnerable, and cultivating strong connections in your life.

Have you guys ever heard the phrase “embrace the suck?”
I hear this phrase all the time, and honestly, I used to live by it. I used to think that everything had to suck to one day be great. I thought pain, terrible things, toxic relationships were part of the journey and accepted it with the hope that maybe one day everything will be great.
In this episode, I share how six years ago, I graduated from basic survival training with the military. We got sent into the woods to survive and hunt for ourselves. We had to trek across the colorado mountains in the snow. I am sharing this because, at this point in my life, I remember embracing the suck was something I heard every day. You would ask people how their day was, and they would say, “embracing the suck!”
I thought that if I stick through this path I was on eventually, something great will happen. But guys, there is something different between knowing something is not right for you, knowing it sucks, knowing it’s toxic, knowing it’s damaging and hurtful. It is very different putting up with that than embracing the hard work, the dedication, consistency, and effort it takes to build something amazing for yourself.
Because the truth is, you do not have to embrace the suck to have an amazing life. I want you to know that no. You don’t have to embrace the suck, in my opinion, it’s all about finding the hard-ass work that is going to be fulfilling, and empowering and exciting. And that is not going to look the same for everybody.
So if you feel a heart tug to do more, be more show up as more, and live a bigger life, take a step in that direction. Start with one step at a time, it is going to be challenging, but it will be worth it.
I believe in YOU, my friend!
TIMESTAMPS for key moments in this epic personal development episode!
[2:15] Six years ago, I was in a completely different place in my life embracing the suck, doing something that was not truly fulfilling me. Learn how I realized this path was not right for my mental health, personal development, and business growth.
[7:30] The moment I pivoted into becoming an entrepreneur and how I embraced the challenges that fulfilled me instead of embracing the suck on a path that I did not want to do.
[10:02] What the last three years have taught me as I launched multiple businesses that challenged me to grow, face my fears, and build my personal development.
[13:22] How I realized I was walking a path that others had chosen for me instead of a path that was meant for me.

Are you in a positive and strong relationship with yourself? Do you take yourself on dates?
We sat down with Umama Kiraba to answer these questions and more! Umama is the queen of dating herself, the start-up master, and honestly one of the people who inspired me to follow my heart tugs. She is a firm believer that your relationship with yourself will never go away, you are always going to be your biggest cheerleader. So, its time to treat yourself, my friend!
Umama is a fitness expert, CEO of the Sweat Pack a community for fitness and accountability. Umama was recognized as one of Forbes 30 under 30 because of her genuine passion for connecting people through fitness. Umama was not an athlete, she began her fitness and personal growth journey with home workouts. For her it was never about transforming her body, it was about doing something completely for herself. It was about learning how to show up and learning how to follow the rules while also developing a student mentality. The student mentality shows us how to let go of our ego, and go into new environments and how to ask questions and be willing to learn. Why are these important? Discipline, a student mentality, and work ethic are all the characteristics of a thriving entrepreneur. An entrepreneur YOU can be! Right after you get uncomfy.
Whether you are married or dating or wherever you are at dating yourself is something we all should invest time into! Getting uncomfortable and then becoming comfortable with being uncomfortable pushes you to learn about yourself so you can be your best cheerleader no matter what the world thinks, says or throws at you.
Just like the student mindset the mindset behind dating yourself transforms into business, work, relationships, and lifestyle. Dating yourself allows you to show up in your relationships without expectations from your partners so that your partners know that you want them there not that you need them there. And that alone will transform your relationships!
Key points to tune in to:
[6:35] How has fitness allowed Umama to transform into a businesswoman.
[ 9:10] How Umama is being real with herself in the new normal.
[11:44] Why dating yourself is such an important part of your personal growth.
[17:48] Umama’s tips on how to follow your heart tugs when you worry about not being supported.
[25:08] What it is like being an honored Forbes 30 under 30, and how you can accomplish a milestone like this too!
[30:30] Umama’s hard NO and HELL yes!
[31:00] Umama’s embarrassingly empowering moment.

Have you ever thought “I want to start a business!”
“I want to take that adventure!”
“I want to do XYZ” and you discount the countless amounts of effort, the energy, the consistency it took because you did not see the work that went on behind the scenes? And you think they are some magical being who has better mental health, smarter, better, has more time, has more money than you have…
I think everyone has, BUT it is time to clear the air and get uncomfy with this topic. Because sista friend, whatever your goals are YOU CAN DO IT!
We get into the real talk in this episode because I want to share with you how I created something from nothing, how I created the thriving successful businesses from absolutely nothing. We are so conditioned to have goals, dreams, ambitions in our heads, and when we verbalize them to someone we give them the power to support us and accept us and give us the okay. When they don’t we take it as a personal blow.
At the end of the day, what do you have to lose by going for it? Because guess where you are going to be if you don’t go for it? You are going to be regretting not going for it. We get one life, what are you waiting for? Are you waiting for external support? Are you waiting for someone to say its acceptable? Or are you going to own your ambitions and go for it?
I want you to figure out what is your purpose, and right now that might seem so broad and so big but it starts with the little things, it starts with figuring out what you love doing. It all starts with mindset, it starts with beliefs, it starts with showing up and not allowing that negativity, that judgment that criticism to get in your way because it’s going to be there no matter what. It starts with figuring out what you can do to give value to others around you. I want you to sit in your ideas, visualize your day, what does your life look like when you are your best self? Paint a clear picture and then start showing up as her!
SAY IT, LIVE IT, EMBODY IT!
I believe in you!
Key points to tune in for:
[2:51] How I created something from nothing.
[5:45] What you need to do to find and live your passion in life!
[7:00] The first thing I did to follow my calling that led to my a 100K person community, multiple successful businesses, and this personal development podcast!
[10:05] The secret to moving past criticism, judgment, and negativity so that you can live the life that lights you up and become the best version of yourself!
[13:06] How to visualize your big idea, change your mindset, build your dreams, accomplishing your goals, and start showing up as that person daily.
[15:00] How to provide value to people with the things you love doing and how I provided free content every single day for years before launching.
[19:35] The DM that changed it all for me! Led to my very first launch and led to me becoming a serial entrepreneur.

It is time to normalize NORMAL body image my peeps! If you get caught comparing yourself to others or are feeling upset with your physical self then this episode is for you.
Today we are talking about cellulite, body image, and self-love. I am joined by my friend Gabby Male, CEO of SWITCHITUP, creator of the Rose Retreats, fitness expert, and all-around empowering woman. Gaby shares her first-hand experiences in overcoming her eating disorders, reaching her fitness goals, and still not feeling like she was enough. She realized health goals are more than a number on a scale, our health includes our physical health, mental health, and emotional health as well. Those small habits that you do every single day like the way you think, the way you speak, the way you spend your time all add up to who you are. And you should be proud of that person because there is NO ONE else like you!
Gaby and I also dig into how social media (especially Instagram!) can be a positive outlet for growth, but can also create an unhealthy relationship with ourselves. We all know that social media has evolved over the last few years, but how have YOU evolved? How are you growing? The power to manifest your best life is inside of you my friend! It is time to tap into that, it is time to learn to send yourself love notes, yell to the mountaintops how much you love yourself.
Because when you step into your own power.
You give permission to others, to do the same.
Key uncomfy moments to tune in for:
[3:05] Gaby’s story & her mission to empower women just like you.
[13:10] How Gabby used social media for self-love & to fight her inner demons.
[17:09] Gabby’s advice on getting more vulnerable in your life and on social media.
[20:18] Things you can do on days you are over critical of yourself.
[26:42] How letting go of being focused on #’s on the scale opened up opportunities for Gaby.
[31:30] Gabby’s first steps in leaning into her heart tugs towards being a successful businesswoman.
[38:10] What’s next for Gabby Male!
[40:10] Gabby’s HARD no & HELL yes.

Welcome to the first episode of LET'S GET UNCOMFY!! I am so grateful to get to be a part of your day!
If you are here then you are probably craving more in your life, you feel a heart tug. Something is calling you to feel more, be more, and show up as more. And you might be putting it off, but let me tell you, my friend. You are not alone. 18 months ago my incredible fiance fixed my ultimate excuse for not starting this personal development podcast. He bought AND set up all the gear I needed in my little office area, and you know what?
I STILL HAD EXCUSES!
The next big excuse I had was that one day the negative nancy in my mind was going to go away, that the right time would come along, that I would feel ready. But guess what I still don’t feel ready and here I am doing it anyway. Everybody feels and has negative thoughts BUT it is all about how you overcome that. I am launching this podcast to bring you incredible interviews and solo casts about health, personal growth, trauma, wealth, business, literally anything that might make us uncomfy.
I don’t want you to get 18 months down the road (like me) and realize that you are still going to have roadblocks on your path. You will never be 100% ready, there will never be a “perfect time.” So it is time to launch, lean in, take action, and GET UNCOMFY.
This is your sign to Pursue what people say is unlikely.
We only have one life We only get one shot, one life, one chance!
Are you going to let your fears and hesitations and doubts dictate your life?
Key points to tune in for:
[2:10] How to go where the heart tugs pull you.
[3:35] How leaning into the uncomfy led me to launch this podcast!
[5:57] Why most uncomfortable moments lead to the most growth.
[9:00] Getting passed excuses and how they kept me putting off my launch for 18 months.
[13:00] How to use your imperfections to reach your goals!
