Ernest career as a skilled labor started right out of high school while he worked in his family business of HVAC (heating and air conditioning). He then landed a job with a well known company which was consider a “lottery” where many guys never left and worked until retirement because of the abundance of pay. In 2008 during the financial crash, Ernest took it upon himself to take classes on how to read the financial papers and seek mentorship on how to understand the stock market. In the process of mastering the skill of trading, he also built a real estate portfolio. Ernest dedicated his time to perfecting the skills taught and eventually left his “lottery job”. Dr Ger Graus OBE is a renowned figure in the field of education, where, since March 2017, he holds the position of the first Global Director of Education at KidZania.
KidZania, where children aged 4 to14 can experience the world of work through role-play, is designed to inspire and empower: “from inspiration to aspiration”. Since its inception in 1999 in Mexico City, KidZania now has a presence in 24 cities on 5 continents with plans for further developments in some 20 locations including the USA, Canada and South Africa. KidZania London is the UK’s first such educational entertainment centre.
Ger Graus has been at the heart of innovation and project development such as 'KidZania World Online', 'KidZtalk', 'KidZania Careers Week', ‘KidZania LitFests’; education ‘Think-Tanks’, 'Ambassador Schools' and independent evaluations by, amongst others the University of Cambridge, Cass Business School, Havas Helia and Ernst & Young. Based on these evaluations’ findings, Ger is now spearheading a ‘Futures Awareness’ campaign to introduce careers education into the primary phase. After all, as he frequently reminds us: “Children can only aspire to what they know exists.” Ger started at KidZania London in 2014, where he has been responsible for developing the UK-wide education strategy, including partnerships with schools, Higher Education, commercial and third sector learning partners.
Before this, he was the founding Chief Executive of The Children’s University in 2007. Under his watch, the Children’s University became a multiple-award winning international charity providing 5 to 14-year-olds with exciting and innovative learning opportunities outside school hours. The Children’s University’s global reach now extends as far as Australia, China, Malaysia, Singapore and the Middle East.
Ger now works with and advises organisations globally on the learning agenda in its widest sense, including the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), the Council of Europe, Ashoka, the Partnership for 21st Century Learning (P21), as well as businesses such as Tribal Planet Inc, Book Depository, The Void, Highbrow and Britvic.
In his book ‘Natural Born Learners’, author Alex Beard says of Ger: “In learning terms, Ger Graus is Jean-Jacques Rousseau meets Willy Wonka.” Sir Ken Robinson, author, speaker and international adviser, observed: “KidZania are extremely fortunate to have someone of Ger’s experience, insight and passion to lead them.”

Celebrating Architecture is an aspirational learning initiative led by architecture educators, @Neil Pinder and @Venetia Wolfenden. Since officially launching at the RCA in 2018, and over the last two summers, Celebrating Architecture has hosted workshop days at London pavilion structures for 175 young people from ALL backgrounds (‘non-traditional’ and ‘traditional’). These students (aged 9-18 years) are from schools across London.
We deliver creative workshops where school students discover, experience and make architecture in cultural environments alongside leading London/World Architects. Our key aims are to bring diversity into the profession, so that our future built environments reflect the societies that they are designed for, and to highlight the importance of ALL students engaging with creativity at school.

In 2014, Apostle Linda Edwards founded KRIM in Stuttgart, Germany after a 17-year career in the US Military. In 1995, she was one of the first ordained ministers placed at a US Military chapel and she also retired as a sergeant and returned to her birthplace of Birmingham, Alabama. Pastor Linda spent years evangelizing and winning over 500 drug dealers, prisoners, prostitutes, murderers, the abused and people from all walks of life for the Kingdom through a ministry she founded, Soldiers for God. Through the leading of the Holy Spirit, she relocated back to Stuttgart, Germany to serve in pastoral ministry. FROM HOMELESS TO HOLLYWOOD…I was born in Gostivar, a small town in Northern Macedonia into a hard-working-good family. As a five-year-old, unknown to my family, I experienced sexual, mental and emotional abuse. At school, I was bullied for being of different creed, and at the age of ten, due to an illness that almost took my life, I spent two and a half years being treated in various hospitals.
To free myself from the pain I felt deep inside, the shame and the guilt that followed me throughout my childhood and teenage years, I pushed myself to study very hard and be one of the best students in every school I went. I received many awards in science, physics, mathematics and in 1998 I ended up studying in one of the top engineering universities in Zagreb, Croatia.
This happiness was short-lived, as in the summer of 1989 the Yugoslav civil war broke and I was forced to join the army and fight a war deep down I despised. Miraculously my life was saved, and in 1990 my mother put me on a one-way flight to London. Adrift after this trauma, I found myself homeless feeling alone, desperate and fearful with no one to turn for help. While shaving, I would stare in the mirror at this person trying to heal his pain, educate himself and climb the corporate ladder to fulfil the voids he had on the inside.
This “excruciating pain,” as I call it, is what also drove me to overcome great mental, emotional, physical, spiritual, relationship, social, career and financial barriers. Once again studying many life disciplines, the lives well-lived and successfully climbing the corporate ladder were my saviours. I started to travel the world, bought my first property and just as I thought my life was finally sorted, in 2009, following the financial crisis of 2008, I was made redundant from a job I loved.
