The calling of the Lord is that we host two things: the Presence of God, and the sacred presence of OTHERS.

You are your own worst Pharisee. The message of the cross is this: if you bring your worst, and dare to meet Him in the scary, inward place, He will meet you there with compassion, kindness, and grace. Your anointing is in that place, and Jesus made it safe.

There are levels to this faith thing. Our faith is deepened by hearing, and we hear by the Rhema word of God which speaks to the deepest longing of the human heart. The deepest faith is the absolute assurance of your identity as His beloved.

Our God is a consuming fire. As the people of the ACTUAL presence of God, we play with fire. When we pray for a greater anointing on His church, we should be EXPECTING fire. There are casualties. There are temptations to be distracted by the losses in those hard places, but we shouldn't mourn the effects of the Lord's fire.

The only way we completely swing open the doors of anointing is to see His glory with such vivid clarity that everything else is irrelevant. We can't witness to people "on the other side" if we make enemies of them.

We seek a mysterious person, not a mysterious power. His presence is not a comforting, peaceful thing when we are not in submission to Him and His government. In the government of His kingdom, the way we transform into a place that can receive anointing is by choosing submission when He gives us the opportunity.

This Palm Sunday, the Lord is calling us not so much to be palm leaf wavers, but to walk alongside the donkey. Everyone hits points in our walk with Jesus where we are headed somewhere that is not necessarily our preference. We all have moments where He calls us from great & glorious walking w/ Him to going places we don't understand, through darkness. These are the points of no return. In them, there is a personal cost--but there is also ABUNDANT blessing.
We have been given a spirit of a sound mind, a spirit that is constantly, lovingly correcting our thinking to align with the Kingdom of Heaven.

God will provide everything we need in the storm. He is ALWAYS present, never more or less present. The question is how aware we are of it. Awareness of His presence rarely comes to us when we expect it, in the way that we expect it. When you recognize that your normal has been shattered by a storm, stop. Take a moment , and just say, "Lord, you're here, aren't you?" And ask Him how He wants you to join Him. He WILL love you with what you need.

Yes, we're still talking about rest. Today, we're gonna talk about your internal environment, and that begins with your identity. Jesus knew exactly who He was. He knew that the Kingdom of God went with Him. He was absolutely at rest in His identity, and He knew why He was who He was. So, why was that? … His Father spoke it over Him. Who are YOU? Child of God. Why? Because the Father speaks that over you. We have to REST in the identity that the Father gives us.

Rest is knowing Him in such a way that nothing competes with His ability in your mind. Security in the knowledge of His identity... THAT's rest.

Rest is not just something that we do, it's not just something that's important to God... it's actually CORE to His nature. When He calls out a people, He says you ARE a people of rest. He doesn't say, you can have some rest, or you can work hard enough to get rest... You ARE a people of rest. And that means that we are FREE PEOPLE. Slaves don't get rest.

How can we be diligent to enter God's rest? By ceasing for striving for things by our own power that He has said are already ours by His. Freedom. Acceptance. Peace... By crossing obstacles WITH Him... and by our very desire to do His will. ALIGNMENT. That's the keyword.

God is always doing things. God is going to do things that are foundations for the things that he's going to do. Many times the things he does may not make sense to us. The things he has to give us are so overwhelmingly full of glory in His love for us, that we do actually have to be prepared, and the way we prepare is with childlike awe over His call on us, and His love over us in it.

The Advent wreath represents the values of His Government, which are Peace, Hope, Love, and Joy. Faith is the currency. Faith is what you have to spend on His values. Hope is the joyful anticipation of a great coming good. It takes FAITH to CHOOSE to BELIEVE in HOPE.

Giants are the big scary things, the impossible issues that just kind of stand out there in your way and they never seem to go away. They cannot defeat us though. The most they can hope to accomplish is to hinder us. Every time you slay a giant, your identity is further revealed; God's glory in you is revealed... and the really great news is that even though it's not always instantaneous, they're actually easy to bring down! All of creation is waiting for you to be revealed. Let's go slay some giants!

Our Good Father is future thinking. His solutions to your current circumstances are already worked out for you, but you have to keep moving. You have to get up and go toward them.

Two kingdoms are at war. FORTUNATELY, you're right in the middle of it. You know why? You're the manner by which God has CHOSEN to win that war. He CHOSE you. He loves you that much. He BELIEVES IN YOU that much. And if you believe in Him, and you love Him, obedience will follow. In John 14:15 when Jesus says "If you love me, you will keep my commandments," was He saying "if you love me, you better prove it by being obedient?" NO! Obedience naturally follows love. And it is in obedience that we win the war by the power of His love.

God is love. Obedience is a "trust fall" backwards into love. Obedience to the faith is believing in the new identity. It's knowing that Jesus did the work and believing that IT WORKED. God does not fill the "old man" with the spirit. He's made us a new creation, but where He works most powerfully is in the darkness, in our dark places that are revealed when the "old man" tries to convince us of a false identity. Only the enemy uses the voice of the "old man." Your new identity is WHO. YOU. ARE. That's the warfare.

Bad behavior is not a lack of faith. God is not concerned about our behavior, in regards to how much he loves us. We are forgiven. Jesus took care of that... But bad behavior is a result of wrong thinking, which creeps in when our faith is shaken by attacks on our identity, and THAT is deeply concerning to our Lord and Savior. He wants us secure in the knowledge that we are made new by His sacrifice. THAT is our identity. The NEW creation.

Power is the ability or the effectiveness to carry out your authority. Power is learned by walking in your authority. It is learned in intimacy with the One who give it to you freely.

War is about authority. There is an order of authority in the Kingdom of God. Even the Holy Spirit does not speak on His own authority. Even within the Godhead, they submit themselves to each other, each operating in the authority of the others. War is about identity. Your identity in Christ, fully released in freedom and power, is TOXIC to the kingdom of darkness. Your authority is your mission. You are supposed to reign with Him. The foundation of learning to walk in more of your Kingdom authority is learning to walk in your mission in submission to Christ.

Our Good Father gives us His authority. When he allows trial, when we are led into the wilderness by the Holy Spirit, it is ever because he is preparing us for new levels of authority. God is never surprised by our struggles. When we get a handle on this, we can actually get excited when we face new seasons of turmoil. God is with us, and he's getting ready for something BIG.

Almost everyone is familiar with the parable of mustard seed, but often we misunderstand the mountain Jesus is talking about as trials and struggles that seem insurmountable. Those are giants. Our good Father gives us the power to overcome those too, but mountains are something else. They are the things we put in high places that interfere with our intimacy with Him. Strongholds. In Jesus' mighty name, they WILL come down!

Anxiety (not clinical anxiety) is a sign that we're revering something over the love and sovereignty of God. that we're giving power over ourselves to things that are far inferior to our God. We are foreknown and predestined. His goal is to conform us to the image of His Son to the point that we're His brother. He does that by working all things together for our good. ALL. THINGS. Even the hard ones. When we let Anxiety win, we're denying who He is. Our peace comes in the middle of trial when we realize that we really can count it all joy. So... Who do you say he is NOW?

Appetite is a mark of health. In fact, lack of appetite is one of the biggest indicators of sickness. As much as it's true in the physical, it's probably MORE true in the spiritual. The Word of God says that you are fearfully and wonderfully made. That's two separate things. One of the ways that we're fearfully made, is that we can reassign hunger to get through things. We can begin to feed our God-given needs in superficial, unhealthy ways. The strategy of the enemy is to reassign our appetites so that we're hungry for things we're not made for, and we can have appetite priority problems.
Your mission, should you choose to accept it: Read the whole Gospel of John in one sitting.
Have faith that God had put the power to impart Grace with your mouth. Don't be afraid to use the blesser He put on your face!

It is our calling to be aware of two realms, to be reaching into the spiritual realm and bringing what's declared into THIS realm.
"Your kingdom come, your will be done..."
How? We bring it. We do it. HE PUT HIS NAME ON US. In the Bible, places are named for Him after intimate encounter with Him. We have to remember our encounters with Him. We have to be aware that WE are His named places.
We have to have an awareness that we are ever in the presence of God. As the body of Christ, we exist in a dual reality. If we're going to be a people that is positioned for God to have His way, our preference has to be for His preference and not our own. We have to position ourselves in the reality that He is the One who KNOWS what brings our identity into focus and our soul into VIVID COLOR!

The Lord has plans for you that are FAR BEYOND what you're capable of. When God speaks a calling over your life, it can FEEL risky to step out in that, but HE GOES WITH YOU. You can accomplish impossible things because of His presence. Who are you to do these things? You are the carrier of the weight of His GLORY.

Familiarity is one of the biggest barriers to the activity of the Spirit in the body of Christ. Who is the person you are most familiar with? Are you more surprised when God acts in a mighty way for the profit of all through you? Or are you more shocked when he doesn't? Sometimes we have more fear of our own ability to screw it up than we have faith in the Holy Spirit to provide for the profit of all. In the name of Jesus, CAN WE STOP THAT NOW?

For no one hates his own flesh, but rather nourishes and cherishes it, even as Christ does the Church, because we are members of His body. -Ephesians 5:29-30
When you talk about His table, you're talking about the body of Christ - the Church. They can't be separated. When you talk about the Body of Christ, you are talking about His table - the table of plenty, the table of unity, the table of freedom. No "sinventory" required.

Saul slaughtered Christians daily, and was still called by God to mighty things. He became Paul and ended up writing half the Bible. When he first repented, his Christian brothers and sisters were skeptical of his discipleship. But Barnabus spoke on his behalf. We need each other. We need Barnabus-es to speak up when we as a Church are not moving where God is moving. If you've been hesitating in your calling because you feel like you're "bad" or just not good ENOUGH... today is a great day to stop rejecting and start rejoicing. There is NOTHING in you or your circumstances that is beyond God's ability or desire to redeem it, and we need you. The body of Christ needs YOU.

Love for the "other" is what moves heaven for the Kingdom to break out. It's not enough to have a testimony. You have to wield it in a spirit of obedience. We must be ever ready to operate in the faith of what God's done for us.

Testimony is not just a story. Testimony is the power of God for the will of Heaven to begin to come, to happen on the earth. There is no victory without an atmosphere of obedience and letting the testimony go in front. When it moves, we move. If we're going to participate in the Spirit in any real way, testimony has to be out in front. You carry that testimony. That is your primary charge as a holy priesthood and a spiritual house. Steward the Testimony!

Testimony- the knowledge of a God who's capable and loves us enough to make things happen in the natural- is a WEAPON. It releases the power of Heaven for us. It advances the Kingdom through us. We need testimony in order to have the FAITH that obtains.

FAITH is being in submission to the business of the Kingdom that you expect to happen, the evidence of the work of he Kingdom that's not yet seen. By faith we become LIVING TESTIMONIES. Jesus purposely disturbs things to increase the Kingdom within you, and he only disturbs things that are shakable.

When you exude the aroma of God's peace, His shalom, you are automatically in opposition to the world because you shine a harsh light on the false peace it offers. "Highly Favored One;" those are the words that God speaks over YOU. Can you receive that? Your cross is dying to all of the safety mechanisms, the walls... the armory that holds God's will at arm's length. You want to be done with that? Let that be the Christmas gift this year.

Our Lord wants us to know and actually UNDERSTAND what makes for our peace so that we are a people that are marked by Him... so that we're a people who actually walk in His peace. That's an alien thing to this world. The world offers a version of peace too, but it pales in comparison to the peace that He holds out to us in the purposes that he made us for; His purposes.

Why does Jesus talk about being born again? Every single citizen of God's Kingdom is legally HIs son and heir. As a citizen of God's Kingdom, everything the Father has is yours. When He looks at you, He sees His Son, and no matter your track record, there is nothing profitable He will withhold from you.

The real warfare is over which words you will believe: the words of your loving Father, or the other, inferior words; the lies.

We're broken. There's pain, there's harm. We're wounded- that is our thirst. We go through most of our life driven by thirst, but when we invite him in humility to meet in that place, in the depths of your well... He wants to give you a drink of Himself. He wants to heal that place so that you never thirst again, because He loves us, and He wants to LIVE there. He's making a home for Himself.

Being in proper submission is the Kingdom culture, and it arranges you for blessing, for participation in the things that He's doing. It welcomes His spirit.

God wants you to PROVOKE others to jealousy over the goodness of your Father's heart and His Kingdom. JOY in the midst of pain. FAITH in the midst of discouraging circumstances... When we exhibit these things we provoke people around us to seek the heart of God.

The ministry of reconciliation is the restoration of divine favor in the healing of the soul. He wants to encounter you to exchange things with you for the restoration of favor. To do religion well and not offer ourselves or other people actual encounter with the presence of a living God, so that He can have exchanges with them is harmful to the soul.

The enemy doesn't need to utterly destroy you. The glory of God is always on the move, so if we are not moving with Him, He's moving away from us.

When we pull out the tape measure to look at other people - that is using the Word without truth. You're in the wrong covenant. You've missed the age that you're in. That's using the Word in a way that is outside of His way. It's outside of Grace.

Jesus is the brightness, the express image of the Lord's glory... the experiencable, impactful, attention of the Lord, directed at YOU.
Transformation for us comes when we see His Glory... When we witness Him, as in a mirror.

When God acts in the natural, we either have a heart that is sensitive to his movement and asks "Who is this?" or we don't. We can be so wrapped up in religion that we miss the actual move of God that is our high calling.

Worship is the MIGHTIEST weapon in your spiritual arsenal for the changing of dark circumstances. When you win at the place of WORSHIP; when you worship from the dark place, your enemy must flee. He's got nothing left!
When you set your mind on God and agree with him, he will agree with you back, because he loves you like that!

Mark 4:35-41 That day when evening came, he said to his disciples, "Let us go over to the other side." Leaving the crowd behind, they took him along, just as he was, in the boat. There were also other boats with him. A furious squall came up, and the waves broke over the boat, so that it was nearly swamped. Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke him and said to him, "Teacher, don't you care if we drown?" He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, "Quiet! Be still!" Then the wind died down and it was completely calm. He said to his disciples, "Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?"They were terrified and asked each other, "Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey him!"
