Psalm 12 begins with the words, "Help, Lord." God is our refuge and strength; a very present help in time of trouble. We need to learn to lean on the Lord, especially during these difficult times. Make God your first choice, not your last resort.

In Daniel 5, we are told about the handwriting on the wall. God pronounced judgment on king Belshazzar with three words: mene (numbered), tekel (weighed), and peres (divided). The handwriting is also on the wall for the world today. The days are numbered; time is drawing to a close. The world has been weighed in the balances and has been found wanting. A dividing or separation day is coming. God's judgment will be poured out on this world and those who reject Jesus Christ. We can avoid the wrath of God to come only through the redemptive power of Jesus Christ.

In Acts 8 after the martyrdom of Stephen, Philip went to Samaria and preached the Gospel. The Bible says that many miracles and deliverances were performed because the people gave head to what Philip preached. As a result, there was "great joy in that city."  There is great joy when the gospel of Jesus Christ is proclaimed. The church needs more laborers in the field. Are you willing to let God use you to reach others for His kingdom?

Every once in a while, we need to be reminded that Satan is under our feet.  In Romans 16:20, Paul reminds his readers that "the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly."  During this craziness of social distancing and isolation, the enemy can try to bring discouragement, despair, and defeat into our lives. However, because of what Jesus Christ has done for us, we can live with the assurance that Satan is under our feet. Take authority over your situation in Jesus' name and remind the devil he's under your feet!

Join us for some worship and an encouraging message from our Pastor.  Luke 17:32 tell us to remember Lot’s wife. Lot’s wife looked back toward Sodom and Gomorrah and was turned into a pillar of salt. She looked back because her heart was still in Sodom. This is not the time to look back or to set our hearts on the things of this world. This is the time to set our hearts on things above and to commit ourselves to those things that are eternal. Even this COVID-19 experience should draw us closer to God, not further away from Him.
