Demaree chats with LA based Casting Director- For 20 years Caroline has cast studio features, independent films, television series and television pilots for Paramount, Twentieth Century Fox, Disney Studios, Sony, Warner Bros, Nick Jr, ABC, CBS, NBC, The CW and Fox. Mentored by some of the best in our industry led Caroline to Disney Studios’ casting department overseeing feature films Gone In Sixty Seconds, Pearl Harbor and Gangs of New York, among others. She served as head of casting for the award-winning Jimmy Kimmel Live! and enjoyed contributing her keen eye for talent on the video game franchises, Assassin’s Creed III and Far Cry. X-Men 2 and Blade Trinity round out her continuing love for casting global blockbusters, hard-hitting dramas with some sense of humor, and character driven projects. Her on-camera and business for the actor classes has been taught in colleges and universities throughout the US, Canada, Mexico, Russia. She is a member of The Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, and National Board of the Casting Society of America, where she co-chairs the BIPOC Alliance and Equity In Entertainment, and is very active with their Artist Development and Training & Education initiatives, developing strategies and practices to support and respect the differences of artists in the audition room and on-set, as well as preparing the next generation of casting directors in our industry. www.carolineliem.com
