Welcome to Soda and Son. This podcast is all about conversations with a 5 year old boy about Life, The World, and of course Soda :). Each episode we will crack open a soda and hear from Cole about his world view. We will touch on themes of kindness, love, friendship, and just being a good human.
Did you know there is an entire career dedicated to making things work? Today we sit down at our local coffee shop to talk about the world of Engineering. This is our only repeat Soda, as we reviewed this in March of 2020...but we have 78 episodes now, so it had to happen at some point :).
Are you curious about what all goes into managing a restaurant? After a recent visit to a new restaurant in our area, we had a lot of questions. So we arranged to speak with Naomi Snoeck, General Manager of the Highlands Ranch location of Lazy Dog. We discuss the importance of kindness with customers and co-workers. And learn some fun restaurant facts whilst sipping some amazing uniquely crafted sodas.
After about a 2-month break, we are coming in HOT talking about what to do outside in the summer with camping. We somehow also invent the next generation of AI-enhanced camping gear. Enjoy :)

This week we received the news that our beloved Great-Grandma Tillie passed away at age 98. She was an amazing woman who cared deeply for those around her. To honor her we are reposting our interview with her in February 2020.

For this episode I wanted to have a conversation with my Dad. I used to call him Dad, now I just call him Pops. He plays a very important role in our lives from Father, Grandfather, and to someone who we all rely on. We talk about our journey together to raise Cole. In Episode 4 we venture into the Craft Soda market with Sprecher Orange Dream. We also explore Cole's mind as he explains one of his inventions to help police and law enforcement.
For our 3rd episode we took the show on the road! Our first remote broadcast was recording at a retirement community in Cleveland, OH. We were there to celebrate Cole's Great Grandmother's 97th birthday! We also interview the best uncle in the rust belt Uncle Jeff. There were challenges to record 2 individuals who are 92 years in age difference. However they had a wonderful conversation. This was a lot of fun. We hope you enjoy.
In our second episode we do a soda "180" and try Coke Zero. Cole's comparison might surprise you. We get our first guest on the Podcast when Cole's sister crashes the party. And we talk a little bit about music.
