The Bridge Church kicked off a new year-long series on the redemption story as told through the whole Bible. So, Josh and Zach are joined by Pastor Aaron to discuss the intention and thought behind the series and explain how Today at The Bridge will also connect to that series.

The guys learn some new acronyms, and they also have a mostly serious discussion about what it is like to be at camp as a counselor/leader.

The guys take a journey into the inner workings of kids thought about God. They think they did a pretty good job of answering... they'll let you be the judge.
The guys have done it again, a new season of Today at The Bridge kicks off with a new scent and some new things to be excited about!
The guys got together to discuss animism, not be confused with Animorphs. They got to talking about how animism shows up in pop culture and also in the Church. They also created a new box for ideas to go in...so that's nice.
Emotions are a thing that people have, or so we have heard. The guys are not very good at the whole emotions thing. So they thought it would be good to talk about emotions, why we have them, why do we sometimes have a hard time with them, and what should we be doing with them?
This upcoming Sunday Josh is going to be preaching at The Bridge Church on the idea of loving our neighbors as ourselves. So the guys decided to make it a very "Beany" weekend and go deeper into that conversation ahead of time as well.
After being asked a bund of personal questions last week, Josh wanted his turn to ask some questions, and only Zach was in the room so that means you all get to hear Zach retell his story with some added updates from the past couple of years. Enjoy!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! What would the nativity story look like if it took place in 2019 in Delaware County, Pennsylvania? This is the question the guys tackled for this year's very Delco Christmas special. They would also like to apologize in advance for all the noise from rustling through maps and using keys to make measurements. It wasn't the best thought out plan for audio recording, but it was a plan so there is that.
Happy Thanksgiving! This week we have a little treat of thankfulness. They guys get to discuss what they are grateful for in this past year, why God wants us to be thankful. And, of course, what they are most looking forward to eating on Thanksgiving Day.

First, we hope you read the title in the voice of the voice-over of the EA Sports guy. If not, go back and try again. But anyway, this week the guys get into the ideas of names. Why do names matter? What about names in the Bible? And of course, we tried to make our case for us naming Colin's baby.
This week we discuss community. Not the NBC show that ran for 6 seasons, though that does come up because let's be honest it is our show. No, instead we talk about the potential pitfalls of community, how to avoid them if possible, and the benefits that outweigh the pitfalls. Along the way, we also talk about the world's negative view of trenchcoats and what happens when you steal chips from a child, so there is that.
The Bridge Church is doing a series titled "Life Hacks" about how to make life easier using Scriptural truth. So, the guys decided to join in the fun. In this episode, they talk about why the series was created, the creative nature of God, some hacks for making life easier in general, and spent longer than you would think talking about a series of Disney Channel Original Movies.
You know those times when you go to have a conversation with some friends about how the church should interact with Halloween and spooky material in relation to how those ideas can be used to reach a community and show Christ love to them, but before that happens you have a 20-minute discussion about Flag Day and the church. Yeah, this is one of those times.
The Old Testament makes up the majority of the text in the Bible, yet it is often overlooked. This week Zach, Tim, and Josh try to rectify that by discussing what the Old Testament is and what our relationship is with it. We also made some pit stops for forcing a correlation between the sections of the Bible and the Marvel Cinematic Universe...but at this point, we think that is to be expected.
What do bathrooms, internet cable, and the brokenness of the human condition have to do with each other?
This week on "Today at The Bridge" we discuss the idea of original sin and try our dead level best to explore what the Bible and scholars have to say about the human condition and the world we are born into. And since it is our show there is also an inordinate amount of analogies. What can we say, correlations just happen to be our strong suit.
One of Josh's wish list topics to cover this season was the idea of ordination. So, Tim and Zach obliged him and had an entire conversation about some of the background of ordination from the Scripture, church history, and their own personal experience. Also, someone on the podcast is officially ordained already from an online ordination service...you'll have to listen to find out who that is.
If there is one thing that we love doing at Today at The Bridge it is definitely taking an idea or thing and then trying to find as many correlations as we can to our faith. If you liked it when we did this with the Zelda franchise last season, then we think you will like this one too. Also, this episode is slightly shorter than usual... but it should still take about the same amount of time as cooking a Digiorno pizza (including oven preheating time)
Today at The Bridge is back for Season 2, like a freshly folded clothes drawer...we don't know what that means. To kick off our season Zach, Tim, Josh, and Colin talk about some common verses that are used out of context and then try to put them back into context using good old fashioned hermeneutics. Though we feel you should be warned there is a fair amount of conversation about Nicolas Cage in this episode... sorry about that.
