As Aaron battles sickness, Round 2 is discussed as the Roosters return while the Raiders came crashing down. We dive deep into the footy from the weekend and the reaction that the teams will get that are playing this week. As we head into the final round of the regular season, it appears that there is a 3 horse race for both 4th place and the final spot in the top 8 as the Sharks, Raiders and Titans battle it out. The talk of the week has been Latrell Mitchell being ruled out for the season after his hit to Joey Manu’s head while Trent Robinson’s spray in the post-match press conference cost the Roosters $40k to the NRL. Can the Rabbitohs still be a premiership contender and who do the boys announce as their special guest next week?
With the three bids being put forward by the Brisbane Firehawks, Redcliffe Dolphins and Brisbane Jets for a potential expansion in 2023, the boys dive into each bid and put forward their thoughts for not only each bid but expansion in general. Along with this, the boys discuss the 7th and 8th spots on the ladder with two rounds left along with the premiership threats for this season. There also might be a special guest coming on the Week One Finals Episode.
The boys get stuck into the send off decisions for Corey Harawira-Naera and Ryan Matterson along with the refereeing overall in Round 22. They discuss the signings of Moses Mbye to the Dragons and Connor Watson to the Roosters while also talking about Cody Walker’s Dally M hopes going into this weeks match of the round between the Panthers and the Rabbitohs.
The boys dive straight into the Clint Gutherson Saga 2.0 as the talks come out 4 weeks before semi-finals surrounding his contract as he is able to negotiate from November 1. Matt Burton pulls out a superstar performance against the Roosters as he excites many Bulldogs fans. They discuss the final two positions of the top 8 along with who the Canberra Raiders should go after and what they should trial next year.
Round 21 has commenced and after Friday night’s Souths vs Parramatta clash, the boys discuss South Sydney’s Premiership chances while talking in depth about the train wreck that has begun in Parramatta. The Queensland Government ruined last Saturday’s hopes of enjoying a Saturday afternoon and evening of rugby league football but as a result, this week we have a 5 day week of NRL.
