Could your faith withstand the fiercest of life’s tempests? This episode is a testament to the power of resilience and the strength we gain when we lean into faith amidst our darkest times. As I recount the recent devastating tornadoes in Tallahassee and Quincy, my heart goes out to all those grappling with the aftermath. In a heartfelt tribute to the indomitable spirit of mothers, especially in the wake of Mother’s Day, we acknowledge the parallel challenges we all face and the metaphorical storms that threaten to upend our lives. The conversation turns to the sanctuary that faith provides, inviting the divine into our chaos, and the transformative journey of rebuilding with trust and surrender. It's a poignant exploration of how, with a little faith, we can navigate any adversity and emerge with a reinforced spirit and a deeper connection to our purpose. This episode isn't just about the struggle; it's about the profound growth that often shadows our trials. I share how the act of speaking life into our circumstances can alter our perspective and how even the smallest seed of faith has the might to move mountains. Remember, the storms we weather can lead to personal revelations and alignment with a higher path.
To wrap up, I send out a massive thank you to all you incredible listeners for your unwavering support—it fuels my commitment to continue delivering content that uplifts and resonates with you.

Facing a path obscured by shadows, I once found my world rocked by unforeseen hardship. Yet, it was in the aftermath, amidst the rebuilding, that my purpose emerged clearer than ever before. In this episode, we're honored to have Gena McDonald, a beacon of hope and transformation, who shares her powerful story. As the architect behind Developing Butterflies, Gena isn't just nurturing a mentoring program; she's catalyzing a movement for young black girls to spread their wings. Her metamorphosis—as a mother, a brain tumor warrior, and a child of God—resonates with the profound growth she fosters in others, bringing to light the importance of resilience and the impact of unwavering determination in the face of life's tempests.
Gena gracefully walks us through the labyrinth of starting a nonprofit, where the victories and heartaches are two sides of the same coin. She tackles the palpable struggles, from the ardent search for volunteers to the pursuit of funding in a community with limited resources. Her candid reflections on aligning with a divine plan, even when doubt whispers from the shadows, and the growth pains that accompany such a purposeful journey, illuminate the ebbs and flows of dedication. For anyone questioning their path or seeking a sign to persist, Gena's story stands as a testament to the power of purpose and the extraordinary outcomes of serving young individuals.
In the quiet aftermath of a storm, it's often where we find the strength we never knew we possessed. Gena lays bare the vulnerability of facing a life-altering brain tumor diagnosis, embracing the role of survivor with grace and undaunted spirit. Her experience underscores the steadfast support networks that buoy us and the indomitable human resolve that defines us. As we conclude, we celebrate the transformational work of Developing Butterflies and leave you with a heart full of inspiration, eagerly looking forward to the bright future of an organization that's much more than a mentorship—it's a testament to the triumph of the human spirit.

As we conclude another enriching session, remember to stay connected and tune in for more stories of growth and the constant reminder that our journeys are far from over.
In this episode of the "You're Not Done Yet" podcast, I had the pleasure of speaking with Darius Fennell, a mental health and therapy advocate. Darius shared his personal journey of dealing with anxiety and how he is using his story to make a positive impact on our communities.
Darius began by discussing the importance of dismantling the stigmas surrounding mental health and therapy. He emphasized that seeking help is not a sign of weakness, but rather a courageous step towards healing. He encouraged listeners to partner with licensed professionals who have been clinically trained to address mental health issues.
As the author of the book "Leaving Jupiter: Navigating Your Anxiety Recovery," Darius shared his own experiences and provided practical tips, strategies, and tools for managing anxiety. He highlighted the significance of finding the right therapist or counselor who fits your needs and supports your journey towards recovery.
Darius opened up about his realization that something was going on with his mental health, particularly his anxiety. He explained that while he had experienced anxiety throughout his life, it was in 2018 when he was officially diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder. This diagnosis gave him a sense of direction and a starting point for his recovery.
He discussed the various symptoms he experienced, including panic attacks, shortness of breath, tightness in the chest, irritability, and overwhelming worrying thoughts. Darius emphasized the importance of recognizing these triggers and seeking professional help to develop a framework for managing them.
Darius shared his personal struggle with accepting the need for therapy and mental health support. He admitted to initially feeling resistant and believing that he could handle it on his own. However, he eventually realized that his stubbornness was hindering his progress and preventing him from fully embracing his journey towards healing.
Throughout his recovery, Darius learned the power of empathy and the importance of sharing his story to help others. He emphasized the need for individuals to have a framework and support system in place to navigate their mental health challenges. Darius highlighted the significance of breathwork and cognitive behavioral therapy in his own recovery process.
He also discussed the role of medication in managing mental health, acknowledging that it is a personal decision that should be made in consultation with a healthcare professional. Darius emphasized the importance of open communication with therapists and doctors to ensure the most effective treatment plan.
In conclusion, Darius encouraged listeners to prioritize their mental health and seek help when needed. He reminded them that growth and healing often require stepping out of their comfort zones and embracing discomfort. Darius's story serves as a reminder that with the right support and tools, it is possible to overcome anxiety and embrace a life of purpose and fulfillment.
Listeners were encouraged to connect with Darius through his website, beyond-inbetweenanxiety.com, where they can find his book and access additional resources. Overall, this episode provided valuable insights and inspiration for anyone navigating their own mental health journey.
My motto this year has been LET GOD HANDLE IT!
The enemy will try to come and distract you from your purpose and what God has called you to do. It's not our battle to fight, God asks us to believe and have faith in his word because he is not a man who will lie.
Regardless of the hurt, deceit, and betrayal...LET GOD HANDLE IT.

After the challenging week I had, I definitely just had to take a BREATHER!
As we go through life, we are never going to have the right answers and know what to do. Importantly we must realize that its okay to take a breather and let GOD do the rest.
You will never have it figured out, but once you take that BREATHER and ask for guidance, everything that you need is on the way.

We know that forgiveness in the Bible right?
Why do we find it so hard to forgive and forget?
Why do we hang on to the past and get mad when it delays our future....think about it.
This week it's all about taking the leap of faith and moving when the Lord says move. This week we had a chance to chat with Autumn Clemmons on her move from Florida to Texas and how she transformed her life by taking the necessary steps to change her mindset and allow her faith to be tested.
Most often times we are so caught up with what will look like before we take the leap, we walk by faith and not by sight, and taking that leap is your way of saying you surrender to everything that God has for you and you are willing to watch it work out for your good.

I know we get tired of hearing "You're The Strong One".....
We are strong to an extent, you have to remember that it's okay to be vulnerable and let your guard down.
Your strength comes from the creator and he knows how you strong you can actually be.
Seek and lean on him, YOU GOT THIS!
This week is all about some motivation!
Often times we see our set back as something detrimental but in reality we should be seeing it as a lesson to plunge us into our purpose.
Allow your Set Back to be greater than your Come Back!

LISTEN! This episode hits a little deep this week. It's time to resurrect your purpose......yes I said RESURRECT!
I know it's not happening as fast you would want it to be but it takes time to bloom the gift until it perfect. No matter how many times you put it down it's not going to happen until you pick it back up and surrender to the calling on your life.
RESURRECT YOUR PURPOSE!

This week we are going to talk about pursuing your happiness: ]
Emotionally
Mentally
Physically
Spiritually
It's time to pursue the things that make you happy, don't let your life pass you by without fulfilling the end goal of happiness, peace, and purpose.
We are back with another amazing episode!
Let's Talk About Post-Grad Depression with my amazing friend Aniah Jackson, listen as we describe life after leaving FAMU. We went in with big ideas and dreams of what we wanted to be but maybe that wasn't in God's Plan for us.
We are here to tell you that it may be tough because not everyone gets a job right after graduation but its also you being able and ready for GOD to lead you down the path that was made for you.
YOU GOT THIS!
As we know it has been a crazy two years!
It's like it's never ending right?
I'm here to let you know that it's all temporary.

Hey, Hey!
This week is all about contentment!
Contentment is a choice of self-discipline that we give to God.
My question is, how content are you?
In this episode I discuss 6 "KEYS" to being content with what you have.
You know how crazy it is when we try to follow our own plan and not God's?
Or
When you try to stay away from your purpose and he takes you through a series of events just to get you back to where he wants you to be?
It's probably because it's all apart of his plan and we have to willing to to be obedient to his plan and believe the the reward is always greater on the other side.
Please join Jordan Clark and I as we discuss what it means to really be obedient to God's plan and not ours.
As we are heading into month 3 of 2022. Do you find yourself needing a reset?
Are you looking to quench your thirst?
Quenching Your Thirst Looks Like:
Purpose
Intentional Relationships
Greatness
Elevation
Are you more worried about relevance or impact?
Our first guest speaker for the new season is Keiara Payne and trust me this episode is one that you don't want to miss. Pleased join us as we dive deeper in what it means to have a great attitude of walking in your purpose. It's time out for seeking revenge and it's time to start loving one another regardless of what they may have done to you. So please sit back, relax, and enjoy this episode.

As we close out on our final episode of Season 1, we were invited to interview some aspiring business owners at the The Holiday Vendor Market in Thomasville, GA hosted by Danisha Carter of Lovely Goods Co.
It was amazing hearing these business owners explain the purpose behind their business. As much fun as I had interviewing them, I guarantee you will have just as much fun listening to them.
Happy Holidays from You're Not Done Yet Podcast and be on the lookout for Season 2!
So, we have always been told that your choices have consequences right?
Why are we so hard headed and making the choice that's going to teach us a lesson that wasn't intended by GOD?
It's time to make the right choice for the effective consequence, I don't know about y'all I'm tired of learning the hard way!
Your Choice, Your Consequence.....what choice you making?
Why as people are we so afraid of being vulnerable?
Why do we always have negative thoughts before we even enter a situation?
Why don't we really develop our mindset?
Please join us as we discuss with Vulnerability Coach Jevon Wooden on what it means to develop our mindset to create the life we want for ourselves. Trust me it get's deep and real but that's the point of having these tough conversations.

Why do we have such high expectations of ourselves?
Why do we have more expectation for people than we have for GOD?
Why are we surprised when people fail us?
Your expectations should never supersede the ones you have for GOD, because he will never fail you. Stop expecting something or someone to give you something that only GOD can.
Grace is God's way of saying that all of your mistakes now serve a purpose instead of serving shame.
God's grace is optional but an opportunity that all of us has a chance to partake in, it's up to us to be willing and know that he has our back 100% but it can't be one sided. Grace will afford you the opportunity to start over but you have to be willing to grow and keep moving forward.
Why are we always considering ourself last?
Well it's time for you to get it together! Considering yourself last will have you going crazy and thinking you have to do everything to please people who don't serve you any purpose. This episode teaches us how to consider ourselves physically, mentally, and emotionally.
It's so crazy that it's actually been a year since I have uploaded an podcast episode, crazy thing is GOD keeps bringing me back here. This episode is literally about taking the time to actively pursue your purpose and not be afraid of the outcome.
