Faith is intended to give us the wisdom and power to walk through life's hardest times, not just to get rid of those times. Hard times are the canvas upon which God paints a life purpose of victory.God's purpose for life's trials can bring us into our finest hour. But we need to learn to let Him make us before He will send us. The trial is never about the trial. By faith we learn to find something worth dying for, and then we will have found something worth living for.
People think, "I chose God, and yet I still blew it, still looked too long, still gave in again" — and they assume the choice must not have taken. Choosing God set a direction. Your struggle is the curriculum your choice enrolled you in. Ask, “which direction am I facing when I get back up."
Heaping guilt on top of an unexplained weakness doesn’t produce holiness – just paranoia. Interrogating yourself for a verdict you were never meant to reach alone robs peace. Don’t let your failures become the facts that define you. Think the truth of God’s word instead of the things your fear hands you.
“All have sinned and fallen short" - not of being better than the neighbors, well liked, or richer. God is at work fitting us for a greater glory by faith - a higher calling than policing our words and actions. Both condemnation and demanding our rights bring corruption into our nation and into our souls.
God doesn't usually deliver us in our affliction by handing us an explanation. What He does instead is give us Himself. Some are called into deeper waters not because they've failed more, but because grace has entrusted them with more to carry. Keeping His word by faith will light the way through.
Nothing in your life is wasted. God births great glory through earthly trials. When He makes a man, a nation, or a kingdom, it’s formed and proven in the fire. Suffering is not about your sins but works to magnify Christ in you. He’s after a relentless faith that sees His glory in us as our great reason for being.
You're still weak. You're worthless. That hollow ache of feeling useless in hardship holds a hidden treasure. It's like inhaling supernatural oxygen the moment grace meets us in our pain. Our suffering doesn't define us. Let the mystery reshape the mindset: Christ within is our life — not our problems.
Before time itself had a name, before anything existed, your name was spoken. Your life was seen. God said, this one is mine. Stop pulling the gift apart to comprehend what was given to you in Christ Jesus before time began. You are accepted. Not tolerated. He knew you would struggle. His glory is the actual substance of what He is offering to do in the deepest part of who you are.
Patience is freedom from the tyranny of my world's constant conflict. It’s peace by the supernatural strength of Christ in me…the kind that is only mined out of trials. They aren’t signs of failure, but doors into the power my soul hungers for. Patience is the force of God’s presence under pressure, not mere human effort.
Why am I here, and does it matter? God has crowned us frail creatures with glory and honor. But the crown was given, not earned, and the path to it runs through the valley. It’s exhausting to author our own worth, to keep trying harder instead of receiving. The glory we were made for is not the glory of the self-made man.
“Behold, all things have become new." It means: stop, look with intention, see what is actually in front of you. The categories by which you have known yourself - your history, shame, accumulated failures, your worst moments and your best ones - none of these are who you are anymore. Your exhausting effort to arrive at a worth that God has already freely given you has passed away.
To see Him clearly is to see what I am becoming, to live a life that matters. Primary faith—the faith from which all other faith flows—is simply this: believing in Jesus as the true source of everything my soul was made to have - the glory, esteem, purpose, and rest. It’s abiding in Jesus until what I ask becomes an extension of what He is asking.
We look at the last decade of the things we've broken and what’s broken us — and we use that wreckage to measure our identity. Before you were ever formed — your days were already written down. God said, “This one I’m making on purpose.” The validity of a life is not its perfection. It’s established by its Author.
The character of God defines us not by our origins, not by our biology, not by our worst days or our hardest diagnoses, not by what any man or any darkness has spoken over us - but by what He declared over us before the world began. Your life is not a mistake – no matter how hard it’s been.
On the far side of losing every self-generated source of strength, meaning, and identity — a quiet, stubborn "nevertheless" appears, carrying a life that is simply given rather than earned. What cannot be taken from you is more real than anything that can. The cross, however it arrives, opens the door to a life that requires nothing from this world to sustain it.
Covetousness runs deeper than mere desire — it is believing that what you have isn’t enough to be whole. Then busyness disguises the hunger for significance as sacrifice and thrives in the noise that misses God's presence. We've been in its storm for so long we've forgotten the calm. Contentment isn't found in abundance, but in God's supply, living in his potential, not ours.

God is not a restriction but a refuge — that He has offered Himself as your very life, your deepest peace, your truest identity. The heart behind the first commandment turns out to be the Father saying, I will be everything you have been searching for. The demand of the law has become the delight of a promise - something working beneath every trial.
Grace is not reactive to your performance. It is the initiative of a love that, having decided you are worth pursuing, declines to be talked out of it by your worst days. Our suffering is not evidence against us. You do not need to wait until the grief lifts, or the body cooperates, or the nation improves, or the darkness makes sense. The treasure is already in you.
Tribulation precedes restoration. Your suffering is not the ledger of your failure. It is the canvas upon which God is painting a masterpiece of the impossible. Condemnation takes the power of redemption out of God's hands and puts it in our own. It’s the idol of ego dressed in religious clothing. Don’t misidentify the scars of your cross as symbols of shame.
You are not defined by your worst day. Suffering doesn’t disqualify you from glory. Take your cues from above rather than from within the noise of your fears and failures. The same heavens that opened over Jesus have opened over you. Immersed in Him means to put your mind on what is true about you in Christ rather than what feels true about you in the flesh.
For every obscure, suffering, cave-dwelling saint who ever believed God in the dark: The cave is not a punishment. Sometimes it’s a seminary, the place where God forms what He cannot form in comfort. It can be a place of lifting, not of the symptoms or the circumstances, but of the weight of them - the crushing sense that everything depended on them changing.
Do I have enough faith to move God. Please hear me on this — that wrong question will crush you. The right question is whether you have enough faith to move yourself. Faith is proven not in what it receives but what it surrenders. It allows love to grow through the trial rather than demanding the trial be removed.
The weight that breaks our own strength is the very weight that opens the door to a divine strength that no devil can withstand. God is not indifferent to your pain. But He is more committed to your glory than to your comfort. The fire is proof of value, not punishment. You are not disqualified by falling, only by giving up.
"Lord, still my restless soul. These afflictions and darkness are neither accident nor abandonment, but move beneath Your eternal purpose." God whispered, "Your fatigue feels like identity. Let Me set the pace." Peace isn't born from a perfectly ordered world, but in a heart that has surrendered the drive to be its own savior.
As a weary, noble sentinel guarding the Temple of God within, you recognize that you have been humbled—and humility is the very mechanism of God’s victory. God allowed the pressure to reveal the "carnal tremble" of your soul—not to condemn you, but to invite you to overcome. Stay preoccupied with who God is, instead of who you aren't.
Living by God's grace requires a living sacrifice. It includes surrendering our ego and need to be treated with respect. Instead, respect God’s mercy to all men. Draw life from above instead of from others. Weep over their sins instead of judging them. True liberty will govern your life and release God's provision.
Resurrection stood right in front of Jesus’s disciples and said, “Peace be unto you. I’ve sent you here.” We’re not to be intimidated by our world but to overcome it. Find the peace of God and you’ll find your purpose. A settled calm is released in us as God himself breathes these few simple words.
Some things on earth that make men crazy are paralleled by things in heaven that make men worship! What looks like a trial is really a trail in God's plan. Stop trusting more in your failures as a sign of defeat than you trust in Jesus's success as a sign of guaranteed victory. God can handle what you can’t.
God will take the imperfect life we give Him and weave such glory into it that at the end of life we'll be able to say, "I have arrived at just the place God planned for me all along.” God uses failing people because it's all about His grace, not our perfection. Condemnation doesn’t earn us points with Him. It attempts to take redemption out of His hands and put it in our own power.
The price we pay for thinking we're OK is barrenness. The well-being that comes from trying to love ourselves is nothing like the inner peace that comes from experiencing the love of God. Beating yourself up is much harder to overcome than God's disillusionment with you. Faith is way easier!
Christianity is not an education about God. It's an encounter with Him that validates our lives, for He is life. You are more precious to God than the sum of millions of fans crying out your approval. When your money and friends are gone, your validation is still based upon the same word that put the stars in the sky.
Your pain need not be in vain. Human suffering and glory are not incompatible. The path to glory is through suffering. Hardship doesn’t mean you're “less than.” Too often we lose our sense of hope because of what we’re going through instead of finding our honor because of what Christ went through.
See what God sees in you instead of what you see in you. He sees the gold and works to remove the impurities in the Refiner’s Fire. If you dwell on what you’re not, that’s where you’ll stay. Stop trying to grow in God’s character by your own power. Learn to live a supernatural life of holiness and peace.
Hardship in this world is heaven's summons to believe. It is not a summons to try harder to better yourself or to give up. It is a call to seek God to build up your faith in the knowledge of His love. The impossible is the way through to your supernatural life purpose. Only relentless faith can navigate this pathway.
Never interpret the hardness of the way as a sign of failure. Favor from on high only fits into the container of the fear of the Lord, and is often forged in the furnace of hardship. Mary was highly favored, not because she was perfect, but by God’s choice. His grace determines our value. Our value doesn't determine His grace. Trust Him when you can't trust yourself!
All you have of eternal value has been freely given. Your life is not a mistake, no matter how hard it's been. Unrelenting pain is not greater than God’s unrelenting choice of you. God’s love in you can change a thousand lives. His gracious choice of you says, “You are as beloved to Me as My Son Jesus is to Me.”
A heart at peace is a wonderful thing that lies near the core of a man's man. It is the blessing of faith applied to the pursuit of holiness - the atmosphere of a whole man. It’s a place of self-control where no idol compels us to defeat. You don’t obey God to have peace but because you are at peace.
God will let life break us down eventually until we’re faced with an inadequacy that only He can fill. His intended holiness isn’t a limitation, but a life of extreme liberty, where we’re no longer controlled by the darkness or the desperation of inadequacy. It’s a completed life of wholeness, value and honor.
The devil likes to diminish our sense of identity, purpose, and value to entice us to build ourselves up instead of trusting in God! "What good are you?" is a demonic question not worthy of consideration! It’s not what you’ve made of yourself but what you’ve let God make of you that matters. Rest!!
Temptation and failure challenges you to find more of your life in God and less in the world. Don’t beat yourself up over not having arrived yet or let the enemy deny your identity in Christ. Stop fighting the symptoms. God’s drawing you closer. You’re created to be complete only in Christ.
When God fills our soul, nothing this world takes from us need matter. Stress and defensiveness are the soul's longing for God. If loving people is wearing you out, that’s your soul’s thirst for God. We’re created to need God and trust that He’ll take care of everything. He can fulfill in us what no man can.
God’s silence is often heaven’s call to walk by faith. The source of faith is not the absence of hardship. Suffering does not erase the degree of God’s faithfulness. It tests our faithfulness. Faith doesn't wonder about what God will do but what we will do. Don’t use faith to argue with God. Trust Him.
Fixing the side effects of a nation’s corrupt values will not make America great again. Our future’s not determined by how well we adhere to the Constitution but to God’s Word. It’s a false freedom that leans on the First Amendment while living an immoral life. This battle’s about faith and values, not liberty.
Don’t go out in public until you can get into a foxhole with your political enemy and be willing to die to save their life. How? The best time to establish love for your enemy is when your soul is humbled from your own sin. It’s God’s love that builds faith in us. Let His love in you do the same for others.
I’ve talked to those who have truly suffered: people in Nazi concentration camps. Suffering didn’t mean there was no God. It strengthened faith amidst hopelessness. Some say pain means there’s no God, when in reality it’s often a pathway to Him. It's not our suffering, but our sin that keeps us in darkness.
Overcome evil with good. Love your enemies. You think it's hard, but it's harder on the soul to hate than it is to sacrifice pride. Your cross will be the world’s chance to see God through you. Live your life because of who you are, not because of who others aren’t. Your hate gives them power over you.
When Charlie was killed, God’s word came quickly, “You’ve seen what man can do. Now get ready for what I can do.” The deafening sound of mercy rang out. Forgiveness is forged in blood - the price of freedom given by the truly free soul. It’s time to liberate America by loving our enemies at any cost.
Find something worth dying for, and then spend your life living for something that will last for eternity. Sacrifices that come from love and by faith forge an identity that can save our eternal lives and nation. It means living the truth, not just claiming it. Hell’s gates won’t prevail against you.
It was a martyrdom - the labor pains of a great birthing. A million Charlie Kirks will rise up. Jesus promised that our sorrow shall be turned into joy! The blood of the martyrs has always been the seed of the kingdom of God. Charlie died standing for his Master. So who are you standing for?
God doesn't usually help me by giving all the answers about why I suffer. Faith is its own answer. He helps by giving me himself. It’s about who I am becoming whatever I am going through - about changing me, not just my circumstances, until I am as His word in human form. He’s not against us.
Shame can be a symptom of failed self-esteem pursuits instead of relying on grace. It is the fruit of religious self-effort, an emblem of wounded pride. God gives the oil of joy for mourning. He buries shame in a double blessing of mercy. Show me your self-esteem, and I'll show you my divine-esteem.

“I want to be different. I fail too often.” Then, look beyond your own thoughts. They’re what got you into this mess. Renew your mind on the mercy of God. Then, sacrifice. It’s the bedrock upon which a renewed mind transforms lives. Sacrifice some of your time to God. You’ll be supernaturally changed.

When Job played the victim card and said he didn’t deserve such suffering, God came in a whirlwind with a revelation of majesty that exposed his self-righteous heart. Upon repenting, his life was restored. He found that God uses all His creation to say, “I will take care of you.”

Neither our bodies, nor finances, diseases, possessions or people need define our life. Without Jesus, we have existence, but not life. He defines the future, and His glory defines our intended life. Your soul need never long for peace, value, or love. He gives life with no shame or regrets. Dare to let go of your life.

Many try to define God by their pain saying, "My hard life is the source of the truth of the mysteries of the universe and existence itself." God showed Job, “When you accept that I am in charge in your pain, then you can accept that I am in charge of your deliverance." Self-righteous reality never wins.
Your soul doesn't want a vacation, more money, health, or possessions. It wants what it was created to experience - the manifestation of a son of God in glorious liberty from all that holds you back. The Holy Spirit can work in you to insure that neither hardship nor moral failure define you.

I must have faith that Christ can light up the tombs of this world where my carnal life is entangled in powerlessness. Instead of finding despair and defeat, His light will surely prevail. Brought to the edge of despair, my Shepherd led me into the valley of the shadow of death to show me how to fear no evil.

When a man is trying to find his inner needs through his wife instead of from God, he’s made an idol out of her that she can never live up to. Life with dignity and respect works by grace verses our heightened sense of justice.

It takes something supernatural to live the life we were born for. Jesus pleads our cause on the grounds of justice as One who died for us. He can say nothing good of us that will win the day. He alone restores us into divine favor. We’ll never arrive at a place where we no longer need a Savior.

We were born that way, but we don’t have to die that way. It’s called sin. We’ve all got it, and there is a Savior. We can live by faith instead of being led by feelings. This is not Pride Month; it’s called June. One problem - too many preachers are telling us what to do, and too few are preaching the power of faith.
It is not the presence of life's storms that defeats us; it is the absence of Christ's presence. Don’t act like you don't have a Savior! Suffering doesn’t mean God has something against you. Seek Him until you find Him. It's that simple, really. Every time you entertain fear, you’re allowing your heart to defy His promises.
What do I fear? What do I want? Fears and hopes become the substance of what is truly ruling my life. Faith that doesn't set me free is usually blocked by an idol that is demanding I serve it. Fear, sorrow, or anger are signs of an idol manipulating and dominating me. Turning from it will release my faith.

God’s best for us is not what things He can give. His best is giving Himself to us. Too many people have tried to apprehend the love of God in the suffering in their world yet haven’t, because God isn't bigger to them than their world is. Have faith that Christ will light up the darkest tombs in your life.

"Lord, I’ve been shaken like a leaf. How can I relate to you, you’re so big?” "Just jump in," He said! "Stop trying to figure out how I work. Trust Me. Don’t act like I’m no bigger than your thoughts. You measure speed and distance by the speed of light. I can walk faster than that! I’m much bigger than your problems.”
Kingdom life begins where carnal life ends. My despair over my failures is the crucifixion that begins His resurrection in me. I may think God is disappointed in me until I realize it’s just failed faith in myself. When I’ve hit bottom and am empty, God can start filling me up with His life. I can resign as manager of the universe!
The trauma of a life tragically altered numbs the senses until faith seems impossible. God takes the outrageous things of life, like the crucifixion, and He turns them all into seeds of eternal victory! A firestorm is a sign of impending divine intervention. He builds faith in places of impossibilities.

You can live with an inner settled sense of the grace, mercy, and power of God within, and have peace with God and with yourself. Come in touch with inner fears, pain, or anger. Learn to believe God in every dark place where you’ve felt incomplete. Then, take your lead from above.

I’ve been created to believe God. I don't have the right to doubt Him. To do so is to abuse myself and accuse God of being a hypocrite. It creates despair, fear, and anger over life's problems. Chronic sorrow says our pain is greater than God's power. Faith is the only way I can function as I am created to be.

Trials will prove if we will live by God’s word, be governed by Him, and trust Him or not. He’s looking for acts of faith, not merely confessions. Satan will say, "If you’re right with God, you wouldn't be facing me," and that's one of the great lies. Just because there is a battle doesn't mean you have failed.

Faith is preoccupied with God’s intentions. Fear is preoccupied with men’s plans. God loves us enough to cause us to face our fears, for fear can keep us from the remedy for sin – honesty in the secret places of our souls. When God exposes our fears, it is faith in His will to raise us up that will win the day!

God’s created the world and redeemed us in such fashion that this world’s trials mingled with His sovereign love will refine away all that is out of character with Him. This crucible of refining will purify us to know that “He will never leave us or forsake us.” He will keep us in our darkest hours.

You are made righteous BY GOD HIMSELF. The One who spoke all creation into existence came and died for you. Your standing for eternity is the work of supreme deity. It's not up to you to decide where you stand with God as a repentant believer. It's up to Him! The One who was offended, forgave.

Who or what you relate to the most will determine your course in life. If Jesus is your life, then He defines your identity, and who you are is not what you did today. It’s what Jesus did. Don’t be more preoccupied with the human condition than with the divine solution. I can live in a place that God created on earth, or I can live in the God who created all places. He conceals the revelation of His Word in the hiding places of His glory. It’s the secret place every Christian can inhabit.

America has descended into a feelings-based identity and morality, and it’s altering our faith. Feelings aren’t the foundation of faith, God’s word is. Feelings aren’t a sound indicator of a person’s standing with God, faith is. Don’t use your feelings to tell God what you believe. Living by the Spirit does not mean living by emotions; it means honesty, faith, and surrender.

I’ve been threatened by gangs several times while out on the road, both in the states and abroad. I know what it’s like to be homeless for Christ and also, to fail Him. I’ve proved that I can do all things through Christ. He will never leave me or forsake me; and when I’m with Him, nothing is impossible.

What I believe in is what I will be influenced by. My circumstances don't have to change for me to be happy! I can be in a prison, hospice, or a dead-end job and still have the peace of God. Neither my guilt, my fear, nor my pain will tell me what to believe when Christ is my great influencer. In Him I’m safe.

- More influenced by the Word than the world; it loves my enemies because I no longer need anything from them - not doing so is a symptom of slavery to injustice. How? Have more faith in God’s grace than in your own sin. Don’t let the consequences of your sin become bigger than the consequences of the cross. I learned a long time ago that when hard times come, we need to understand that God allowed them, and often, we allowed them. We would do well to seek Him to understand what He is doing instead of merely trying to change the circumstances that He has allowed. The storms of life are often ordained by God to bring us to a better place, and it does no good to think that all we need to do is find someone to blame and judge them. It’s time that we realized that the darkness that has descended on us is not going to be defeated by using political weapons. We have yet to define our reason for grieving. Our standard is not American justice and freedom. It is Christian love. The moment we make justice our highest goal, we have moved away from the love necessary to accomplish justice. Jesus told us to love our enemies and bless those who persecute us. If we do not, how can we except any idea that we are any better than they are? Freedom in Christ is not freedom from injustice. It is freedom from the bitterness that injustice would create within us.

Last night I fell asleep with the same burden I’ve had for ten months. I asked like many of you, “How long?” Wednesday, as the capitol was being overrun, I was being overrun as the Holy Spirit began to show me something of what He is up to, and it’s not about validating a political party – at all. He came running out of the barn, blood everywhere, shouting, "Praise the Lord, Praise the Lord." What was happening on earth was being defined by what was happening in heaven. That's the only way to accurately understand what we are experiencing in America in 2020!

Along with our ministry group, I felt honored to share a lunch with a man once called, 'The Architect of Armageddon.' When his helicopter was shot down, he cried out to God for help! What is far more amazing is that by the same mercy that saved this General, we are made worthy to come boldly before God's throne! This same God is the one who will help America today.

Near the heart of America's 2020 problems is the inability of people to hear the right voices. Most of the media can no longer be trusted, but along with that, most people don't want to do the research necessary to find the truth. They keep being spoon fed by the media. The truth is sometimes painful as well. It's discovered by going through hard places without getting hard hearted. But hard places will save our lives!

How could a man confess Jesus as His Lord and Savior, knowing that he may have to give his life in futile attempt to save his family from death? How can people face terrible injustice in our present day without giving in to the enemy’s goal of being filled with outrage? There are right answers for the devastating dilemma we find our nation in today, but those answers will mean nothing without the foundation of first becoming who we are created to be by the power of God. Humanity just is not designed to be complete without God.

3,000 people never realized that last night, Sept. 10, 2001 would be the last night they would spend with their families. Sandy also never realized that the man passing her in the ambulance was her husband. Whether it be 19 years ago, 39 years ago, or this year, life has shown us how quickly things can change. One of the world's biggest problems is that they don't know how to answer the question that this title presents. We hear people demanding or fighting for their rights, while others are afraid of losing their rights. It would seem that people have yet to define what their greatest need is - knowing their right to believe God in the face of all that's wrong with them!

Preparation for war for me began in basic training in 1971. Jesus' last words in the Book of Revelation gives us glimpse of how He wants to prepare us for today's pressure to turn America into a socialist state. Both have the goal of us being given what we don't all deserve. One works, and one doesn't.

Life Journeys isn't just about what we believe about the Bible. It is about real life and how the Bible relates to our past so we can apply it in the present. I have been personally encouraged through a recent death of a young woman to recall Jacob's many family struggles. Yet while they wrestled, Jacob was giving birth to 12 sons who would be seen around the throne of God at the end of it all. We need to interpret our present by God's promises for our future.

Murder Hornets was a name given to some giant bees that were said to a potential danger earlier in the year. Jokes were often made about them. But when my grand daughter was stung twice by local wasps, it was no joke. After a high speed run to the hospital under police escort, she spent the next 6 hours in the emergency room. Today's message equates one of John's visions in Revelation 12 with heaven's side of earth's battles.

When my friend was crawling a full mile out of the woods with a heart attack, God was there. He drove himself an hour to his home, showered, and went to the ER. He'd been a tank commander, a police officer, a miner, an outdoorsman, and he was born again. God was with him from beginning to end.

When God seems silent, sometimes it's because He has already prepared us and He's standing by as we take our first 'solo flight' through a storm. "The end of all things is near." My friend didn't realize it when he read those words in the Bible that morning that God was talking about him! After recovering from a heart attack, he went to preach on this Easter Sunday morning. By evening, he was in heaven. Sometimes, in our moments of greatest sorrow, we slip badly in our faith. In the emergency room 3 weeks ago I wrote this message. It is a living parable of what both my own life and this country is going through. I have learned over the last year how to see what is happening in America from heaven's point of view, and it looks a lot like the opening chapter of the book of Revelation. Our liberty requires the responsibility to have faith in God, not men. We’re living in a day where our constitutional right to due process is thrown to the wind. People make accusations and spread false information on social media constantly, and it destroys the credibility of anyone trying to post the truth. If we declare our truth with indignation between the lines, then our message will be buried by our attitude.

He would see the KGB parked in front of his building. One time, Anatoli walked down to them and told them, “If you harm my daughter, or wife, or something happens to me, I have written my friends in the west what has happened, and they will release it to the American government.” He actually intimidated the KGB, and they backed off, and he lived. Faith that has no fear is a great and necessary privilege for the days ahead.

The Russian soldier felt forsaken by his country. "Does your country take care of its veterans? Mine doesn't!" "I've got some bad news." I called from a phone booth in Arkansas, only to hear my dad say that he had terminal cancer. As circumstances would have it, he died alone. But the journey towards that day was one of life, of healing, and of undying principles. I would have to tell him, "You taught me how to live. Now I need you to show me how to die." When the man visiting our church died in the back pew, he said that he heard the battle for his soul. What ought to be encouraging to you is that he said he also heard the prayers! Years later, as I told this story, I asked if anyone would like to see someone come back from death. Then I asked if anyone there would like to volunteer! My real question today is if you would like to continue learning how your prayers can be actually heard in heaven with results seen on earth.

Believing God became something that was not an option for me. It became a tool in God's hand to develop character as He led me through the valley. When Jesus 'saw' the faith of the man being lowered through the roof to get to Him, He responded with a declaration of forgiveness and healing. So it is with us. When He sees faith that has developed character, He responds with all that we need - sometimes to overcome, sometimes to deliver from, but always to glorify Him. Visible character is far more important than verbal confession.

Until, by faith, we can love those who we suspect of corruption, and until we can somehow be led to demonstrate that love, we’re not going to win the battle that we are in. What's in the hearts of men will never change through activism, political battles, or debates. Faith is a tool in God’s hands to bring us to a place to glorify Him, more than it is a tool in our hands to get God to do what we want Him to do. As we'll see later this week, this is the kind of faith that raised a man from the dead!
