After a little time away from the guitar - this is an attempt to sing and play the chords for How Far I'll Go from Moana.
After a short break, it's time for some Muppets. Using chords G, Em, Am, D, C, Bm7, B7, and E, I attempt The Rainbow Connection from The Muppets.
With my newest chord, B7, I attempt the tune "This is How It Feels (to be lonely)" by Inspiral Carpets.
In my first attempt to play a full length song, here's a go at singing Ed Sheeran's Galway Girl. Used chords E minor, G maj, C major, Cadd9 (the theory of which we discuss at the end of the podcast), D major and A minor.
Used chords C major, G major, E minor and D major to sing Matt Lucas' Baked Potato. It is an amazing song. Be careful though - if you listen to it too much, it will stick in your head forever.
To demonstrate improving chord changes, today it's a trip to 1995 and the whopping three-chord song "Common People" by Pulp
For this episode, we've experimented with the app "Acapella" which simplifies the process of layering up a song. William uses the guitar, a keyboard for the trumpet sound, piano, voice and percussion.
Whilst working on speeding up the chord changes, William uses chords Gmaj, Cmaj, Dmaj and Emaj, to try and play Hey Ya! by OutKast.
In today's episode, an attempt to play the classic Fireman Sam theme tune. Just missing an alarm clock!
With the beautiful weather we're experiencing, William's taken the microphone into the garden for today's podcast. Featuring some machinery sounds courtesy of next door and some earthquake sound effects thanks to the microphone shaking. At least the guitar is sounding good!
William's challenging himself to play the whole of the Beatles classic "Let it Be" by Saturday. How far has he got?
Instead of using a pick, today William uses his thumb and first three fingers to pluck the chords in an attempt to create a style similar to that used in Bill Withers' "Ain't No Sunshine". No bees in this podcast!
