Impurity affects every relationship.
Not just people - it affects the way we view and interact with God.
As followers of Jesus, we have to make the most of a broken world and culture so we can faithful to our identity as disciple-making, Kingdom-building Christians.
God is aware of the actions of His people.
What you do in secret, God sees in high definition. You can trick your friends, your kids and even your spouse, but you CANNOT trick God.
The Father is consistent in His love - whether you’ve run away from His house or faithfully been living in it.
Forgiveness is for everyone not because of what “they” have done or deserved but because of what God has done and declared.
We were ALL created by God and we are ALL part of an incredibly diverse creation.
BUT…in the Kingdom of God, we celebrate UNITY.
We have to ask ourselves this question:
Is the long-term goal, winning arguments, or winning people?
Don't be afraid. Just believe. If God said it, He meant it. If God promised it, He won't forget it.
CCCJ is a SENDING CHURCH. We take our mission to glorify God by being disciples who make disciples VERY seriously.
Jesus chose you. Now you choose.
Jesus chooses us to meet Him like we are and then invites us to choose to be more like Him.
When we view anything other than God as the source of our provision, we make that thing into a god.
When you surrender to Jesus, you accept His Covenant and you put in everything you have
We have been programmed to look at the exterior rather than the interior of a person. We need to begin to see as God sees.
Racism will not flourish when people believe their neighbor bears God’s image.
The Incarnation of Jesus brought life to your door. Now you bring life to your neighbor’s door.

Prayer is powerful - not for getting your will done in heaven - but for getting God’s will done on earth.
God isn’t concerned with the results of what I do. He is concerned with the reason I do it.
Main Ideas:
- Wisdom is the practical ability to succeed in life.
- Fear of the Lord is like respect for fathers - it is not antithetical to love.
- Fear of the Lord is demonstrated by obedience to His commands.
Main Ideas:
- Jesus’ parable of the vineyard is actually Israel’s history and a picture of his establishment as king.
- Some rabbis contemporary with Jesus interpreted this stone as the offspring of King David.
- The biblical principle of humiliation as a precursor to exaltation is played out in Jesus’ death.
- “Shepherd” is the primary metaphor for God as our leader. His example was to be followed by any who ruled or rules on his behalf.
- Leaders’ rampant disregard for the sheep led to a longing for a better shepherd, the promised Messiah.
- Church leaders - apostles, evangelists, pastors, elders - take up the mantle of shepherds.
Main Ideas:
- Only Jesus has successfully claimed to be the Messiah.
- Psalm 2 is a particularly influential messianic prophecy because of its three separate predictions cited in the New Testament and because of its introductory position in the book of Psalms.
- Messianic prophecies are compelling evidence for Jesus because they’re so specific and because so many are impossible to intentionally fulfill.

Main Ideas:
- God promised David an heir to sit on his throne forever.
- The New Testament claims that Jesus fulfilled that promise.
- Because Jesus is the king on David’s throne, Christians are citizens of his nation, Israel.

Main Ideas:
- Kingship in Israel was never ideal because it contradicted God’s sole rule of Israel.
- Saul’s self-promotion forced God to replace him with David, a man who sought God’s own heart.
- The reason Jesus was the rightful king is that he deflected authority back to Yahweh, the only true king of Israel.
Core 52 ->Deuteronomy 18:18 // Jesus & Moses

Main Ideas:
- Moses, along with Abraham and David, made up the trinity of Hebrew heroes. Therefore, any comparison of Jesus with Moses would have raised more than eyebrows. It would have raised religious ire.
- Nearly every author of the New Testament compared Jesus with Moses. Jesus is not merely like Moses. He’s superior to this Hebrew superstar.
- Any explanation of Jesus’ superiority to Moses must be grounded in the impeccable moral life of Jesus and in his resurrection.

Main Ideas:
- Holiness is your election, not your action.
- Israel was called to be a kingdom of priests. The church fulfilled that vocation when Israel failed.
- Righteous behavior is the appropriate and natural response for one who is called to a noble life given to God’s purpose.
- Abraham’s trust in God is the model of faith for Christians today.
- A covenant is an agreement between two parties that includes conditions, terms, and consequences.
- Every previous covenant in the Bible is fulfilled by Jesus.

The core of all sin is pride.
- Sin seduces us in one of three ways:
Pride of passion
Pride of possession
Pride of position
- Satan deceives with half-truths, not blatant lies.
