Want to take your life to the next level? We focus on personal and professional development to help you achieve your goals, maximize your potential, and live your dreams.
Mindfulness is your ability to be fully present in the moment, and aware of your thoughts, emotions, and actions, without judgment. It's a way of connecting with your life.
Walking mindfully means walking with full attention. Slow, methodical movements can relieve stress, calm the body, and focus the mind.
Several studies have shown that physical exercise reduces symptoms of psychological distress (Gerber & Pühse, 2009). Similarly, mindful walking has been found to reduce psychological stress symptoms and to improve quality of life (Teut et al., 2013).
As we go through our day, we usually do not notice the opportunities to practice mindful walking: walking to our car, walking in the grocery store, walking while at work, etc. We have the choice to consciously take advantage of these short walking moments and become fully present in our daily lives. This tool of mindful walking can help us do that.
The purpose of mindful walking is to develop an awareness of each moment without having an end destination. By feeling our feet on the ground and noticing each muscle involved in each step, we begin to cultivate body awareness and focus. We walk just to walk.
This practice can be performed anywhere at any time. The goal of the exercise is similar to other meditation practices that cultivate awareness of the present moment, in this case, by using the feet as an anchor for attention.

Have you ever felt stuck or lost in life before?
If you're human, then your answer should be yes because we all have at some point in our life.
Whether you’re feeling lost right now or not, these 3 simple ideas will provide a good mental model on how you can navigate life when you're feeling lost, whether that be now or in the future.

This is a 5-minute mindfulness meditation meant to help you cultivate stillness and calm and to reconnect with your inner strength and stability in the face of internal and external challenges.
The idea isn’t about you doing anything in the face of adversity; rather it’s about becoming more aware of the changing environment (both your inner & outer world) and honoring these changes with composure, confidence, and clarity.
Like a mountain, staying strong & grounded, even in the middle of chaos!
The quality of your life is the reflection of your standards. Raising your standards is not about being an egomaniac. It’s about having a healthy level of self-respect.
When you raise your standards and turn “should” into “must,” you are making an inner shift to take control over the quality of your life. Any area you are not getting what you want is because you haven’t raised your standards.
If you want real change, you have to be willing to do your part. And it starts with asking yourself, honestly, who you are. Are you a winner? Or are you always a step behind making excuses? Are you the life of the party and bring joy to those around you? Or are you more reserved or create drama?
Answering the question of “who you are” and discovering what your true beliefs are about yourself is critical because this is your identity. And the fact is, we are hard-wired to follow through on who we believe we are.
Consider someone who is trying to stop being lazy. They might say to themselves, “I’m going to do my best to stop being lazy, but I’ve always been lazy.” It doesn’t matter how hard they try; if their identity is that they’re a lazy poop, it’s pointless. Maybe they get a burst of motivation for a few days, but those days are numbered, and they’ll be back to their lazy selves soon enough. We act consistently with who we think we are, and ultimately, that’s who we become.
Unfortunately, most people never recognize what they are capable of because they think too small and lack self-efficacy.
If you raise the standard of your mindset, you will not be shattered by the failures or setbacks in life. You will see obstacles as an opportunity to learn and grow. You will get inspired instead of getting jealous. You will participate in healthy competition instead of comparing yourself with others.
Find others who have high standards, surround yourself with people who accept you, respect you, and inspire you to become better.
A big dream is a bold vision of the future, a vision that both scares and excites you at the same time. It brings out your passion, imagination, creativity, and willingness to take and embrace risk.
You can see the final destination in your mind’s eye and it inspires and empowers you. A big dream is a fire in your belly that fills you up with a craving to make yourself better.
The very act of dreaming and working towards your dreams has immense benefits for your well-being such as greater motivation, more self-confidence, more happiness, and more purpose in life.
A big dream is a powerful idea, but we all have different dreams.
We all have a secret (or not-so-secret) wish list of things that we desire in life. It could range anywhere from something as simple as wanting to be a better person, getting a good job, or being happily married - to starting a business, getting a Ph.D., winning an Oscar, or being a billionaire. Whatever your dream is, you should own it and be proud of it!
When you verbalize something, it becomes more real and important to you. Speak your “why” to yourself out loud (and often) and share it with others too. This will motivate you to live in congruence with your commitments. So the next time you want to increase your performance, declare (to yourself and others) what you want and why you want it. I know it’s hard to share it with others, but at some point, you’ll have to do it.
Your reason “why” will keep you going when nobody else believes in you. It’s that gut instinct that will strengthen you and keep you in the race when you feel tempted to give up. Your big dream is your personal internal compass that guides you through your life’s journey. Define what’s meaningful to you. Not everything that is achievable is important, so the achievement isn’t the issue—alignment is.
Set high goals and aspirations. You can have more than one big dream, but it’s best to relentlessly pursue one big dream at a time in order to achieve the benefits of focus and discipline.
Positive Psychology is the science of what makes life worth living, such as purpose, meaning, and the ability to flourish.
In a nutshell, Positive Psychology supports the idea that we can gain greater happiness, wellbeing, and achievement through conscious choices, attitudes, and actions, particularly when we:
You are in charge, in command, and capable of making the change you desire in your life.
People differ greatly in their ability to plan and look ahead. While some people live their life with a clear vision, others wander through life aimlessly. Decades of research shows us how much the types of goals people set matter. Some goals are better for people’s mental health, personal growth, and wellbeing than others, because they better express a person’s underlying interests, values, talents, needs, and motives. This podcast/audio masterclass address the key principles underlying proper goal setting and goal striving, different types of motivation, and ways to effectively achieve your goals.

Live your dreams!
A big mistake I see so many people make when it comes to achieving their goals, dealing with stress, anxiety, and managing their emotions in general, is they don’t make the effort to generate positive emotions. And as a result, they live in an unbalanced, chaotic, and unpredictable world of emotions.
Look, I'm not perfect either! So no hard feelings here, but be honest with yourself and ask if you're living in a more reactive state of mind or a proactive state of mind.
Some people get stuck going through the motions of life, maybe they’re not as happy as they could be, they know there’s more to life, they’re not truly feeling alive every day, living with joy, gratitude, purpose, and peace of mind, but luckily we can train our emotional intelligence and by adopting a few simple healthy habits, we can completely rewire our behaviors to generate more positive emotions.
I’m going to share a 10-minute clip from a new course I recently recorded called The Unlimited Motivation Formula.
My apologies for the poor audio, in the beginning, forgot to plug my mic in! I hope you enjoy this episode and find it helpful. Let me know what you think and I'll talk to you soon.
Are you happy with your love life right now?
No matter where you are on that spectrum, the consequence of not loving yourself and raising your own self-esteem will negatively affect your love life.
You won’t receive the love you deserve because you’re in the wrong vibration and don’t think you deserve it. But there’s a better way to love and be loved where you can deepen your connection with your partner or yourself and experience new levels of love.
In this episode, I will share The Love Formula with you and a few strategies you can implement to deepen your connection, increase your self-esteem, and have more love.

What is your biggest desire in life?
Freedom!
If not, then you’re making a huge mistake.
Why?
Because our main human drive is to seek personal freedom...and the alternative is a trapped life.
Where you feel like you can’t get ahead, always working, making no progress, and never satisfied.
But when you’re free, you have the luxury to live life on your own terms. In ALL areas of life!
In the podcast I explain this in greater detail.
Reflection questions
As you complete the prompts below, there are no right or wrong answers. Responding authentically and fully is essential in generating and accessing more clarity and momentum in your life.

7 Levels Deep
Trying something new and I'm going to be sharing my thoughts more organically in real time. I talk about procrastination and some other random stuff, so enjoy!
Some chatter from our Instagram live the other day! I shared 3 tips on creativity and I hope you find it valuable.
I tried recording the podcast again while going live, and it was still a little harder than expected lol. Thank you for listening though!
If you know me, you know I'm all about living your dreams! A large part of that philosophy comes from this idea that "life is like a mountain".
Even though I've been living through this lens, teaching this idea, and using it as a foundational pillar of Mindset Monday, I've recently learned a better mental framework on how to adopt this mindset/metaphor and how it can help you navigate your life better to increase overall well-being in life.
There are 8 different elements:
The Land
The Map
The Trail
The Wild
The Gear
The Weather
The Hikers
The Peak
I break these down in greater detail in the podcast and I give some context and real world examples of how you can use this (and even teach this).
I'm sharing my journey and thought process with you! This is not 100% done and finalized in terms of my own understanding of how to teach this, use this tool effectively, or even apply it in my own life through a more structured lens, but it was a recent discovery/learning experience that I had to share on the podcast!
I appreciate you being part of my journey and I'm glad we can be learning together. Thank you for listening and I hope you found this metaphor as valuable as I did :)
Building the strength of your foundation will help you build up the rest of your building.
The same thing applies to your confidence. When you work on building the strength of your foundation, the core principles of confidence, you will be able to take your confidence to new levels!
The three things I talk about in this episode are:
Self-Awareness
Challenging Yourself
Embracing Failure
I didn't deliver the best podcast since I was also going LIVE on IG so I got a little distracted and lost my train a thought a few times lol, but hopefully you enjoyed this and just like I talk about in this episode, I wanted to challenge myself!
Always looking for ways to grow and improve. Hit me up on IG and please leave a review if you feel like you enjoyed this episode, thanks!

It's just a very basic worksheet that you can use as a reminder. There aren't any exercises or anything, but it's more as a reference guide to help you stay on track if you feel like you need some motivation!
Hit me up on Instagram @mikeybee3 and please leave a review on iTunes if you enjoyed this episode! I hope it helps and I'll talk to you soon.
If you're looking for easy ways to get yourself motivated, it's really about getting in the right state of mind. 3 easy ways you can do that are by:
Identifying what you want and why
Creating a goal or goals around it
Creating a strategy
I obviously break it down in more detail on the podcast, and there's some important information that supports these 3 points, so I recommend you spend the 15 minutes and listen so you can get the full experience!
Hopefully you find this helpful. We all struggle with motivation from time to time, it comes and goes like many other things in life, so I hope you get some value from this and apply these tips into your life too if you want to see a positive change!
As always, hit me up on Instagram @mikeybee3. Thanks for listening!!
In this episode we talk about one of the main pillars of mindfulness which is "judgement".
Judgement is when you attach a meaning to an experience and our brains are wired to judge moments, thoughts, and emotions constantly throughout the day.
By practicing mindfulness, we can develop a non-judgmental open-awareness that will help us live a more balanced life internally, and reduce stress.
When I talk about a balanced life, I don't mean being more productive (although that's a by product naturally of mindfulness), rather I'm talking about being able to balance, manage and regulate our emotions in a positive way.
Hope you enjoy this episode! Let me know what you think on Instagram @mikeybee3 and feel free to leave a review if you have done so yet :) That would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Thank you so much for listening! My podcasting is a little rusty (sorry for the "ums" and "uhs"), but we have a growth mindset over here so we'll continue to improve our podcast in every way that we can!
I appreciate your support and I hope to hear from you soon. Hit me up on IG @mikeybee3 :)
In this episode I discuss the difference between "making sacrifices" and "making decisions". We often think we need to sacrifice things in our life in order to be successful, such as free time hanging out, relationships, watching movies, etc. but having that mindset where we make ourselves feel guilty or that we're giving something up, makes us feel like we're suffering and it leads to frustration.
On the other hand, if we focus on making decisions that are aligned with our priorities, then we feel better and happier about our decisions. Choosing to hang out with your friends and "sacrificing" your free time where you could be getting work done, is really just you prioritizing relationships over work in that moment.
Hopefully you can reflect on this mindset and identify if you're doing this in your own life too. If you are, I hope you find it helpful and useful!
We're back! I wanted to share a mashup I created of some of my favorite talks about gratitude and the impact it has on our lives. I truly believe gratitude is one of the most important mindsets to adopt because when you really break down our lives, we have it really good.
No matter who you are, no matter how hard life gets, there's always someone who has it way worse.
I work my butt off and dedicate my life to being the best I can be so I can be in position to help others, and one of the main reasons for that is because I feel like I owe it to the people who don't have it as good as me.
Even if you live a life of gratitude, I hope you find this mashup inspiring! I've already listened to it multiple times and it's not like it's "me" talking either lol. I find these clips and stories very powerful, and honestly, quiet enjoyable to listen to so please give it a listen and share it with a friend who needs to hear it!
Wishing you the best and happy Monday!
Subscribe to the podcast, hit me up on social media @mikeybee3 and let me know what you think of the mashup. I'll be making more, but would love to hear your thoughts if you're liking them or not!
Recently I've been able to get more work done in less time, while maintaining high levels of energy, and this allows me to have more free time! It's leads to less stress and a happier life so I really hope you find value in this episode.
I suggest listening to the whole episode so you can hear the details, but I'll list the 5 tips for you below:
Get into a flow state
Eliminate distractions
Find out where you're wasting your time
If you start something, finish it
Know your energy levels
So you can start applying these 5 tips immediately, but having some context to understand why and how this is helpful, will keep you focused and committed.
Also, applying all 5 of these tips at once is how you can maximize your efforts. They basically go hand in hand because you can't get into a flow state if you don't eliminate distractions, but you can still be productive if you're getting distracted...just not AS productive or effective. Which is the key and the whole point of this episode. Maximizing our effectiveness!
Let me know what you think of this one, I'll be back on social media hopefully by the end of July, but feel free to shoot me a DM or email (mberezny3@gmail.com) if you want to get in touch, and if you haven't left a review let please do! It would mean the world to me, thank you so much :)

Hey everyone! Today I share my thoughts from the half marathon I ran recently and the 3 big lessons I learned after running the race. Running has become such a powerful tool to build my self awareness, mental toughness, and overall endurance in life.
I really hope you find some value out of this episode, if you're looking for a quick guide of the three things they are:
You have way more potential than you think.
Competitive comparison is actually healthy and can push you.
Mental toughness...running forces you to push yourself mentally and physically which trains your mind to be better equipped when faced with challenges.

This week on Wisdom Wednesday I share 4 tips that could help you rewire your brain for more mental energy! If you're feeling stressed, tired, overwhelmed, or all the above then hopefully you find some value from these tips.
Happy Wednesday and live your dreams!
My entire philosophy in life is lived through this mindset. As you will hear in this episode, I see the Live Your Dreams mindset as a tree. There are many roots that hold this tree in place, which is the key to your growth, and as you continue to grow you gain more branches, new leaves, etc. which gives the overall tree character...or better put, it gives the Live Your Dreams mindset more context to the actual philosophy.
I tried my best to cover everything, but I definitely missed various key points so I think I'll record another episode in the future on this same topic, but I'll do a better job of keeping my thoughts organized.
As I mentioned in the episode, I just wanted to speak freely and share my thoughts, so hopefully you gained some value from this episode and if you did it would mean the world to me if you left a review!
Thank you so much for listening, hit me up on instagram at MikeyBee3 and I'll talk to you soon!

I believe one of the most important mindsets we can adopt is the Creative Mindset! When you think about how the world has evolved to the beautiful place that it is today, it's because we had creative innovators, individuals, and groups of people who thought creatively about the world's problems.
Today I share with you roughly 9 tips and strategies that can help you develop a more creative mind, and ALSO! Help you develop your students into creative thinkers themselves :)
Hope you enjoy this one!
Real wisdom is knowing you don't know anything at all, but what is wisdom? Wisdom is developed through experience and knowledge, so if you want to become more wise, you need to have more experience.
I see wisdom and mindset as two different branches from the same tree. Mindset is your perspective on life, and wisdom is the knowledge you've gained through experience in life. When you combine experience and perspective, you get a wise mind!
If you want yo improve your mindset, one way of getting to that next level is through improving your wisdom.
Thanks for listening to this episode! I'm going to be dropping short Wednesday Wisdom episodes every Wednesday to get you through the week, with a little inspiration, motivation and words of encouragement :)

Experimenting with a new format! Once a week I'm going to be discussing news in education, hot topics and innovative ideas for the classroom and things going on in the world that connect to education and how we can better our teaching practice as well as prepare our students for the future. My plan is to stay within the realm of "Mindset Education" so we'll see how things go. Although this episode was more of an opinion than actual news, but I think it was still relevant and important information to be aware of for the future of education.
This is the first of many episodes, completely experimental and I have no idea what to expect lol, but I want to do longer episodes discussing this stuff so feel free to shoot me a message and let me know what you think! Always looking to improve and give you all the best experience possible. Would love to talk about things you want to hear about too.
Thanks so much for listening and I'll talk to you soon!

Happy New Year everyone!! Thank you so much for listening to the podcast and I hope you enjoy this episode. I'll list the 7 tips below, but I want to emphasize the importance of reflecting on your previous goals, and learning from your mistakes and failures, as well as your successes. I hope you take some time to reflect on your previous year before setting new goals for 2019, and take the time to analyze the bigger picture too.
Even the most successful people lose confidence. It will come and go, but using these three mindsets will help you maintain your confidence or maybe even develop more confidence if you feel like you're lacking it.
The three key points are:
Be honest with yourself
Surround yourself with supportive people
Embrace failure and admit when you're wrong
When you can apply these three mindsets, you'll take more ownership of your life, you'll be more authentic because you won't care how other people think about you, you'll feel better about yourself, you'll start to believe in yourself, you'll feel more optimistic, you'll have more energy and the list goes on!
Hopefully you enjoy this episode and there's a little piece of content that can help inspire or motivate you to think about your own confidence differently. Feel free to leave a review, check me out on social media if you don't already and I wish you the best!
Thanks for listening :)
It's that time of year where we start to feel a little bit overwhelmed (even with the holidays giving us a break) so I hope these 5 Mindsets help you PREVENT that overwhelming feeling!
Here's a quick outline of the 5 tips:
Stay present and live in the moment, stop living in the future
You're not perfect, so don't judge yourself
Eliminate distractions

Also, I mentioned I had a perfect GPA, which is false, just to clarify the details of that statement, I got straight A's that semester (and the following semester too) but I believe I earned a 3.9 GPA during that time. I'm a math teacher so I like rounding up :) lol
One more thing! I also had to make a few edits, I know, I know, I said I wouldn't! But I got two phone calls in the middle of my podcast which stopped the recording and since I was already in the process of editing this episode, I just did the whole thing. Not that you care, but I had to get it off my chest! And I'm just letting you know so I hold myself accountable.
Once again, thanks for listening and please leave a review on iTunes!! It would mean the world to me and I'll be giving away a free Live Your Dreams shirt or sweatshirt! Make sure you get a review in by Thursday :)

Hey everyone! This was my first interview of another teacher so I'm honored to have Yanina Jimenez. aka Let's Celebrate Learning on the podcast to talk about some practical tips and strategies that we can start implementing into our teaching practice immediately.
She gave some great insight and all her tips are right on point. There is a strong connection between learning and using storytelling or music (among many other things she shared with us) that help students not only learn more efficiently, but also more enjoyably.
You can follow her on all platforms at:

I just got the new High Performance Planner by Brendon Burchard and I'm beyond excited to start using it!! In it, he has you asking yourself 10 questions every single morning (questions start around 8:20 on the podcast) which will help you develop the right thinking patterns to perform at your highest level.
I'll list the questions below, but I would love if you listened to the whole episode too! Not only are these questions incredibly important to be asking ourselves as teachers (because we want to lead by example and continuously strive for greatness) but these are questions we could have our students asking! Get creative and find ways to get your kids thinking about these things too:
One thing I can get excited about today is...
If one word could describe the kind of person I want to be today, then that word is...and why I chose it is...
Someone who needs me on my A-game today is...
A situation that might stress me out or trip me up today could be...and the way that my best self would deal
with that is...
Someone I could surprise with a note, gift, or sign of appreciation is...
One action I could take today to demonstrate excellence or real value is...
One bold action I could take today is...
If I was a high performance coach looking at my life from a high level, I would tell myself to remember that...
The big projects I have to keep in mind that I want to take on, even if I can't act toward them today are...
I would know that today was a great success if at the end of the day I did or felt these things...
And there you have it! Those are the 10 questions I'll be asking myself every morning, and I suggest you start implementing them into your daily practice too!
I hope you enjoyed this episode and please leave a review if you got any value from this episode! It would mean the wold to me, thank you :)

I recently came across this productivity hack called the Ivy Lee Method, where you prioritize the 6 most important tasks for your day the night before, and start with the most important item first...without stopping until it's done.
Then you move on to the next item until your day is done! If you don't finish any, you pick up where you left off the day before.
It seems simple, but there's a little more involved than just that.
Give the episode a listen and let me know what you think!

This week I explain the 50/50 rule and how this concept can help you live a happier and more fulfilling life!
The 50/50 rule is a very simply way of life, you spend 50% of your time on personal development, and the other 50% of your time helping others. Ideally, this would be a lifestyle you would want to implement on a daily basis. When you give back to others, it's a selfless act that gives you more meaning and purpose in life, but you also need to know who you are and learn about yourself along the way.

We talk about the importance of:
Living in the moment (being present)
How your thoughts and emotions don't define who you are
Being an observer of your thoughts
Meditation
And other random things about The Zen Wizard himself!
We go deep into mindset talk on this one and I'll definitely have him on again to finish our conversation and go further into detail on the mind.

Mindset is everything! Your thought process determines everything in your life. How you think about your life basically determines your reality.
It's so important to understand you have the power to determine how your perceive these thoughts that come into your head. Thoughts come and go, but how you think about them and observe them, is totally up to you.
It's hard to just one day, all of a sudden change your mindset, but it's a continuous process and if you aren't consistently trying to learn, grow and master your mindset, you're never going to change and as a result of that, nothing in your life will change for the better either.
Keep an open mind through out this episode and I hope it gives you some persepctive on my mindset, and how I think about my mindset.
Understanding what mindset actually is, is a major part of mastering our mindset.

Why is courage so imporant? Well, if you want to live your dreams, you're going to need to have the courage to take risks, stand up for yourself and your dreams, block out negativity in your life, face your fears, embrace failure, learn from your mistakes with confidence, etc.
Courage is the ability to do something that frightens you.
We've all been caught up in caring what other people think about us, but we're on the path of mastery! So it's really important to understand and adobt a mindset where we don't allow the opinion of other people to bring us down, hurt our confidence or discourage us from living our dreams.
The fear of what other people think about us is a huge mental block we have that prevents us from demonstrating courage. Don't listen to an opinion that doesn't empower you.
You have a choice in how you want to respond to situations in life, and it takes real courage to face your fears, but remember you have the power and the choice to do so.
Courage is a major part of mastering our mindset.
Thank you so much for listening!! I truly appreciate it and I hope you got some value out of this episode.

Most people don't actually stick to their New Year's Resolutions because they have no purpose. When you have a purpose in life you're much more driven, determined and committed to your goals.
If you made the cliche New Year's Resolution to go to the gym more often, you'll only be truly successful if you have a real purpose behind why you're actually going. That purpose, that reason or that why for actually going to the gym, will keep you motivated long term.
It's a mindset you need to adobt if you actually want to be successful with your New Year's Resolutions (or any goals for that matter).
By developing a mental habit of continuously thinking about your purpose, you're going to be consistently motivated to stick to your goals because you have an emotional connection to that New Year's Resolution now, and if you give up or quit, you're going to be letting yourself down on a way deeper level.
Even though this is an older episode, we're at the half way point of 2018 so if you aren't on track or if you gave up on your New Year's Resolution, I would listen to this episode to gain some inspiration, motivation and clarity on your vision and purpose in life. This will help you get back on track with that New Year's Resolution you made 6 months ago!
Identifying your purpose is a major part of mastering our mindset.
Thank you so much for listening!! I truly appreciate it and I hope you got some value out of this episode.
If you did, it would mean the world to me if you left a positive review! It would really help me and I would love to hear your feedback.

A brief introduction to the podcast, then we jump right in talking about mental toughness. People who give up too easily in life don't have the right mindset. They can't accept and embrace failure, which is why we need to become more mentally tough so we can embrace all the failures we face in life, and handle adversity easier.
I notice a lot of people complain or make excuses too for their failures. When you're mentally tough, you don't blame other people for your failures, you accept them, learn from them, and use it to help you grow and get better.
Self-awareness is another important topic we cover. When you understand who you truly are, it allows you to accept your flaws and to be okay with them. Be honest with yourself. A mentally tough person won't allow their weaknesses to hold them back, rather they have so much confidence in the things they're actually good at, it allows them to be more successfull.
Mental toughness is a major part of mastering our mindset.
Thank you so much for listening!! I truly appreciate it and I hope you got some value out of this episode.
