Robber's Roost is a punk influenced rag-time folk band from Washington state. Speaking with us today are guitarist and vocalist Mark Paschen and banjo player and vocalist Wren Carter. Billy Kelly is a grammy nominated musician, singer/songwriter, comedian, artist, graphic designer, and awesome dude. He started his career as rowdy man Earl Pickens with his band The Black Mountain Mauraders in the East Village of NYC's rowdy bar scene during the early 2000s antifolk movement. A few years later he found great success with a run of children's albums His album "Trees", a collaboration with Molly Ledford, earned the duo a grammy nomination. He released a new album titled "On" in September 2017 as Billy Kelly With A Band.

Brian Pretus is guitarist and a founding member of PEARS, a Fat Wreck-Chords band from New Orleans, LA. Over the past several years PEARS have toured all over the world and released two full-length albums, Go To Prison and Green Star and are currently working on their contribution to a split LP with a yet unnamed band. They will depart again to Europe for another tour later this summer, then will embark on a headlining U.S. tour this fall. Check them out in a city near you!

Vic Ruggiero is the founder and frontman of the legendary NYC ska band, The Slackers. Beginning his musical journey in the early 90s, his singing, songwriting and energetic live performances have taken him all over the world, both with his band and as a solo artist. He has been equally prolific in the studio, amassing an extensive discography over the years, including collaborations with a long list of notable musicians. The Slackers latest album, which is self-titled, was released in 2016.

My guest today is Ian Tyrrel, a singer/songwriter and world traveler, currently residing in Thailand. Ian moved to my hometown, Nazareth, PA, many years ago from Queens, New York, and in high school we played in rival bands. Slangston Hughes is a hip-hop emcee from New Orleans, LA. He performs live backed by a four piece band, "Fo-On-The-Flo", and they are gearing up for a run of shows in the south in support of their new single, "Champion". Slangston is also host and organizer of New Orleans music showcase "Uniquity" and related artist workshops. He works for the non-profit MACCNO (Music and Culture Coalition of New Orleans) as community engagement coordinator. The organization advocates for artists' rights and cultural preservation in the city.

Steven Chavez Parker spent years touring as the vocalist for Charlotte, NC's punk metal favorites, Dirty South Revolutionaries. After his time with the band he returned to his home, Columbia, SC to form the anti-racist Bastards Motorcycle Club, who quickly gained national popularity for their activism, charity work and fearless clashes with racist organizations at various rallies and marches. He is now playing professional paintball and working on a hip-hop project, under the name CeeV, with emcee/producer Atlantian, who joins our discussion in the last third of this episode. A singer/songwriter and guitarist from Toronto, Mr. Murray made a name for himself with his band King Apparatus before relocating to Los Angeles. He has since toured all over the world extensively as a solo artist and has worked with the biggest names in the reggae music scene.

My guest on this episode is Noah Waggoner, the lead singer of Daycare Swindlers, a Washington, D.C. area based band that has experimented with all styles of punk, hard rock and reggae since their first album was released in 1998. Their latest record, Reradiate, is a modern day classic, deserving of the highest praises and accolades, in both content and production, made even more impressive having been recorded and mixed by the band’s own drummer, Mark Reiter. Aside from his monumental career with the Swindlers, Noah has also participated in a number of other musical projects, playing keyboard and guitar, and is an avid outdoors-man.
