In this Agricultural industry update episode we discuss how LRSN can support a farming family faced with Bovine TB concerns within their herd. We discuss how the change from Basic Payment Scheme to Environmental Land Management scheme will effect farmers and the recent announcement regarding the consultation on the lump-sum payment, “exit” scheme as part of the Agricultural Transition Plan with James Walton and Phil Dunn from Brown and Co. Plus, we have faced some very strange weather so far this year with late frosts, a dry April and a very wet May, we chat to Ben Atkinson about the impact this may have.

What are the health and wellbeing services you can access through LRSN? What do we mean by casework? In this episode we chat to the Health and Wellbeing Lead Gilly Steel and Heather Dawes about the health services available through LRSN and we meet some of the casework team who explain the different types of scenarios they can help you with.

In this introductory podcast we will be finding out more about the charity LRSN – Lincolnshire Rural Support Network. We discover how the charity was established from one of the founders, Reverend Canon Alan Robson the county’s Agricultural Chaplin, and the Project Manager Alison Twiddy.
