It's season #11 for North Brunswick Raiders Basketball on the King James Radio Network, as we resume to a full season of high school basketball, including the New Jersey state playoffs for the 2021-22 season.

North Brunswick boys basketball head coach Ed Breheney is the active wins leader in the Greater Middlesex Conference(420 wins) entering his 33rd season. This year will present its challenges, as Coach Breheney has only four returning players from last year's roster. Brandon Harrison and Tim Bolaji will have to defend the paint, while juniors Frankie Garbolino and Ian Morris will bring some much needed experience on the perimeter. This year also marks the 25th anniversary of the 1996-97 GMC champion basketball team, led by John Cipot and Tim Howard.

If things were normal last year, head coach Mark Zielinski and the Lady Raiders would be defending a GMC White Division championship this year. Coach Zielinski does have 103 career victories, which ties him for second on the all-time wins list in Lady Raiders history. Speaking of history, junior guard Niyell McCargo will look to become the first underclassman in North Brunswick girls basketball history to reach 1,000 career points. McCargo will be flanked by senior Megan Farrell and junior Anne Marie Quagliata.
