Join us in minimal edited discussion on hot topics, religious, life, and current/world events. We will speak on controversy, religion, rights, beliefs, family, marriage, and real life problems that affect all of us. We're not all serious though! Sometimes our conversations go a little sideways! Let's face it. There's no real "category" to stuff us in. If you're the same, grab a cup of coffee, sit down, and hang out with us for a while!
Today we discuss modesty for both men and women.
There is no set rule on what modest is. It doesn't even give a clear cut description in the Word. Wear this, but not this. Aside from the things that are obviously immodest a lot of modesty involves your walk with Christ, your obedience to Christ, and your full surrender to Christ. Everything else follows. It all has to flow from the heart. It starts in the inside and manifests eventually on the outside. So what is Christian modesty? How do you stay biblical in an every changing, trendy, and modern world? Here's our take on it.
PSA: I should say this is how we live and our interpretation on the matter. We do NOT come in with condemnation and judgement. We know that we know that we know that that is not OUR place and we would never place ourselves on the judgement seat. Judging others is something that goes against our values and everything we believe in. So in no way during this conversation are we intending to do that.
"Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body." 1 Corinthians 6:19-20
Today we talk about encouragement and what this means to a child. It's truly a wonderful thing that we use for our kids. We encourage them in what they hope for and also in their faith!
Personal parenting tip for strong children 101.
We are not perfect.
But we do try:)
Today is a hard discussion filled with a lot of wrecked emotions and too many painful tears. It's also a tribute to my pop (grandpa) who just passed (at such a young age for a grandpa). We are only two weeks in. The wounds so fresh and raw.
How do you live with grief? How do you form a life around the ever so present missing pieces of a loved one? How do you live a life that is worthy to bear that love?
A tribute to Pop. Father, grandfather, husband, brother, servant of Christ and others, and very best friend. If you've experienced grief, let's talk. I am convinced that the hurting can spot the hurting in the middle of a chaotic world.
Let's talk!
So we heard there is not only a U.S population decline, but a WORLD population decline. And, yes, with humans. This was read, by me, in a legit (neither left nor right leaning) article. They're speculating seeing the affects by mid-century folks.
What does this even mean for us and the future?
Join in the chat and tell us what you think.
In this episode we get personal about our life, how we met, the tragedy and blessings behind this, and the decisions that we have made to get to where we are today. We hold a true belief that every decision is vital. Even if that decision seems so small.
We talk about our personal experiences of how the smallest decision to just go somewhere can have profound effects on your future, life, and even the generations to come.
The butterfly effect is defined as: (in chaos theory) the phenomenon whereby a minute localized change in a complex system can have large effects elsewhere. (Webster's Dictionary).
The butterfly effect is a theory that if a butterfly flaps it's wings across the world it can seemingly effect the other side of the world (positive or negative).
Our story is someone else's story. We are all interconnected into this great tale that not even the best writer in the world could make up. The choices that we make can very much shape us. We just have to remember that God has overall control of how our life will be. Does this mean we blame God for our bad choices? No. Our choices still matter. They still define. They lead us to our fate and destiny determined by God.
We just have to surrender control. We'd love to hear your idea about decisions, the butterfly effect, or anything else that is on your mind! Comment and subscribe. I'm also going to leave the link to the YouTube channel.

Today we discuss our innate craving to surrender and let go. To just give away the burdens and pressure that we carry like heavy luggage everyday. How can we do this?
Are you curious?
Because there is a way...
Today we go into more hot topic and debatable theological beliefs. As always, we ask that you take everything back to the Word (as you should and as the Word tells you to do).
We also discuss faith and how all of this is related to marriage (a good one too)! We could go even further into depth but just skim the surface here.
As always, we'd love to see what you have to say!
We're back from the holidays, friends!
This week we're talking about a parable that Jesus spoke about. It's one, of His many, that has made me critically think and contemplate the true and honest meaning behind the parable.
God is good. When you ask Him for godly wisdom and understanding, He will give it. But it's important to remember that He won't give you every answer at once. How overwhelming would that be?! I am convinced that we will reach the end of our lives and still not have all of the answers. But we were never meant to. And that's okay.
John and I truly love to read the Word and sit on it. It's where our foundation is, where we are rooted, and where I stake my faith unto death. We suggest that you also take everything that ANYONE ever says back to the Word. That's where the truth will forever be. Don't rely on people and their words (even ours). Go to God!
BTW... so sorry for the weird background sound all through the video. Our mic actually fell. We thought we positioned it just fine but it continued to make this weird sound. We'll get this fixed before the next one!
Another thing...we never want to talk at you. This podcast was specifically set up for conversation! We'd love to hear from you!
So...What will you wear to the feast? Will you be present? Will He find faith on this earth?
In Christ, John and Jessie

So, 2020 is almost over and I think we can all agree it's been a year of personal tribulation as well as social. In this podcast episode we discuss what we have heard lately of the end times. Could this be it? Maybe. We don't know and never will know. If someone tells you they do know, don't believe them. They are a false prophet.
But here we discuss what that may look like and what things we are currently going through match up. The most important thing to keep in mind is that one day Christ will return. And He will not return for salvation but will return to rescue those who are eagerly waiting for Him. Will He find faith on the earth?
Stand your post.
Keep your lamp burning.
Look up, child. Look up.
Though we don't know when, we can say for certain...
The King is coming.

If you have noticed...there is no episode 2 on here. It goes from 1 to 3. Episode 2 was done via Livestream on our YouTube channel (which is our number one source of communication). Please go there to check it out! Subscribe while you're there!
On this episode of our podcast we discuss how important the search for something beautiful is when everything around you seems to be a chaotic mess.
Please, look for the beauty.
"I lift up my eyes to the hills-where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. He will not let your foot slip- He who watches over you will not slumber..."
Psalm 121: 1-3
Tonight we discuss the 2020 election results. But are they the results?
Or right now is this a moment of waiting...
Are the American people silenced?
Who is our next president really going to be?
(Disclaimer) When this was created the "results" were already called by the AP and media. This was before the current retraction.
What are your thoughts? We'd love to hear.
In our first season finale we discuss a hard topic of personal and cyber bullying in today's youth and if social media is contributing to an increase of bullying, depression, and suicide in the youth today.
We'd love to hear from you!

Without further adieu, here is this weeks episode! And I can't believe that we are only 2 episodes away from completing our first season!
This weeks episode is about the downside and dangers to social media! We discuss how social media causes divorces, failed relationships and friendships, play on elections and in politics, and how it affects our mental health and connection to others humans as a whole. Of course, we do this with grace and humor.
The Netflix original that we mention in here is linked below https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uaaC5...

We got a new mic! And we just had to test it out for this podcast episode.
Today is a loose conversation. We raise questions about some of the home invasion and destruction of property that has been taking place nation wide. Are we on our own? Are we no longer safe and sound? Were we ever?
After all, it seems to have been pretty simple to dismantle the police force, privacy, and protection brick by brick. It appears to have come as easy as dismantling the nuclear family.
2020 Are we in Panem or 1984?
Hey, friends, commenters, and listeners! Welcome to episode 7 of Having Coffee With John Mac! This week we talk about just a couple of fun and not so fun things with an unpopular opinion on both of them.
First we chat a little about police violence (or should I say violence against police). And then, with some laughter, we talk about Joe Biden's desperation in reaching out to Cardi B. Also, what does Trump and JFK have in common? A Lot.
Find out exactly what by clicking the video! If there is anything that you would like covered, feel free to drop it in the comments!
Hey, friends! Today's podcast is about these little things called toxic masculinity and toxic femininity and the lies that modern feminists tell us. As some may know, John and I feel very strongly about this topic and it has been the source of some of my best speeches! We discuss the different feminists that exist and break down what feminists say toxic masculinity is.
We'd love to hear what you think about this subject! Hang out for coffee and a chat. Also, if you have any topics that you would like covered, we'd love to hear about them too!
"Then the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being... ...The Lord God said, 'It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.'”
Genesis 2:7 & 2:18
Today we have an in depth look at the Prosperity Gospel (or the American Gospel), what it is, how it is the biggest LIE, and why it's so popular in America. We talk about proof in the bible itself that clearly states why this gospel is a false teaching. So much so, that to many it's considered heresy.
Though this is a serious subject, we make sure we laugh. What can I say? We love laughing! Grab a cup of coffee (or tea) your preference and then join in! Don't forget to like, share, comment, and/or subscribe!
"The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron."

We're having a light-hearted and laughter filled discussion about the fate of the world, predictions for the rest of 2020, the scariest insects EVER, and then we detour down memory lane as we laugh about the WORST hike we ever took on the LONGEST trail known to man!
Well...not really.
But it is the longest in our state.
Here's our question to you. 2020. Weirdest year ever?
And what will happen in September?
-Giant ocean chicken
-Invasion of the Mantis
-Something else

"The same God who spoke with, and walked, with Abram wants the same for us. This is the ultimate promise and our greatest gift."
Today is a hard topic as we discuss the tragic loss of Cannon and several others who have been murdered, hurt, or victimized in recent months. Some by BLM protesters and some not (circumstances are still unknown with little Cannon).
The real question throughout this episode is, Where has our humanity gone? Have we really become so complacent and jaded? Have we really become so desensitized that a human beings life doesn't matter anymore? Have we? We have to be aware of this. We have to acknowledge the hard truths of where it, we, all went wrong. We have to rise up out of this hole that we have dug. If we make our bed, let it not be this.
Join us, please, for this important talk. We would love to hear from you.
"Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children. And walk in love, as Christ loved us..." Ephesians 5:12
Today we discuss the religious unrest and Christian persecution that is ongoing in the USA right now. Churches are being vandalized and burned and bibles are being thrown into the street and set on fire along with our flag. I've heard so many say that Christian persecution is a myth. Evidence from the very beginning until now says otherwise.
This is all in the name of the on-going BLM George Floyd protests breaking out across the country. Antifa has highjacked many (if not all) of the protests and both are working together to destroy the US and persecute Christians any way that they know how.
Join us for a coffee and chat. We'd love to hear from you! You're voice matters. The loud cannot silence the soft. The darkness will not defeat the light. Hate cannot overcome the love of God.
"No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life. Just as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you or forsake you." Joshua 1:5
Join us for hot topic and world/current event discussions of all kinds. Controversial ideas will be reflected upon and we invite you to open up and have a cup of coffee and real discussion with us. On this episode John sits down and discusses Covid 19 (Coronavirus), the treatment available, maskers versus anti-maskers, and real talk about vaccines, the affects, and the costs (both financial and physical). I will be joining in on the discussion (because I just can't help it).
Remember though, this is fun! [As you will see from the chaos in the beginning]. I willingly chose to leave that in the podcast, knowing that I could cut it (as editor). However, I want you see the very real and personable side to our family. Our teasing, joking, fun-loving and exciting side along with all other sides of us! In fact, when editing this podcast and in ALL videos I keep editing to an extreme minimum. Because we can't edit in real life face-to face discussions, right? Why would we ever want to on here? We are not perfect. Life is not perfect. The Lord is perfect in ALL things and He makes things good, the crooked paths straight, and transforms the bad into good.
Note: Reminder this is just our view on the situation. This isn't meant to start discord and we have no intention on blaming anyone nor condemning anyone for decisions that they choose to make in a time when we are ALL thrown off balance or in the midst of frustration. We all make choices that are good for us at the time. And we all make mistakes. And that is okay. This also isn't sponsored by anyone nor are we affiliated with any specific group.
Jeremiah 6:16 "Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls."
