Hi my Superhumans, I am excited to introduce you to this amazing man, him and his company have helped companies like Apple, Pepsi, Samsung, IBM, General Mills, Wells Fargo, Southwest Airlines, and Microsoft.

We talk about two big ideas to help enhance your brain with Art and Sketches.

  1. The brain wants an image instead of a word. It’s not about style, it’s about science. The brain is a context machine. Give it an image and it will connect.

  2. It’s a skill set, to present an idea, to engage an audience. Learn and apply it.

2021 Is here

In this episode I share my thoughts on the importance of checking - in on loved ones in these dire times.
The COVID-19 pandemic has had a major effect on our lives. Many of us are facing challenges that can be stressful, overwhelming, and cause strong emotions in adults and children. Public health actions, such as social distancing, are necessary to reduce the spread of COVID-19, but they can make us feel isolated and lonely and can increase stress and anxiety. Learning to cope with stress in a healthy way will make you, the people you care about, and those around you become more resilient.

Stress can cause the following:

  • Feelings of fear, anger, sadness, worry, numbness, or frustration
  • Changes in appetite, energy, desires, and interests
  • Difficulty concentrating and making decisions
  • Difficulty sleeping or nightmares
  • Physical reactions, such as headaches, body pains, stomach problems, and skin rashes
  • Worsening of chronic health problems
  • Worsening of mental health conditions
  • Increased use of tobacco, alcohol, and other substances

It is natural to feel stress, anxiety, grief, and worry during the COVID-19 pandemic. Below are ways that you can help yourself, others, and your community manage stress.

  • Take breaks from watching, reading, or listening to news stories, including those on social media. It’s good to be informed, but hearing about the pandemic constantly can be upsetting. Consider limiting news to just a couple times a day and disconnecting from phone, tv, and computer screens for a while.
  • Take care of your body.
    • Take deep breaths, stretch, or meditate

    • Try to eat healthy, well-balanced meals.
    • Exercise regularly.
    • Get plenty of sleep.
    • Avoid excessive alcohol, tobacco, and substance use.
    • Continue with routine preventive measures (such as vaccinations, cancer screenings, etc.) as recommended by your healthcare provider.
    • Get vaccinated with a COVID-19 vaccine when available.
  • Make time to unwind. Try to do some other activities you enjoy.
  • Connect with others.

To run you own race there has to be these things present:

  1. Discipline - Know what you're going after
  2. Focus (Chrissy Holm)

Don't quit, run your own race till you get to the finish line.
It is not about the other guy .
You cannot change the other guy ..
The amount energy it takes for you to turn around and see where the other guy is at will derail you.

Focus on you!
It is not over until it is over

Run your race
What you focus on you maximize

James Allen said : As a man thinketh so is he

So if you pause to look at everyone around you and what race they’re running

“You’re in the lack “ when you’re there , That’s what you will manifest

Emulate  (look at others, do better)

Now you know exactly what to do when you wake up. You have your killer morning routine down.

Next is to find 5 people who are currently doing exactly / more of what you want to be doing

The key here is success leaves clues -

We are going to Build 2 groups

  1. People you Admire
  2. People you spend the most time with

People you admire:

If you follow the diet of a body builder and do the same routines as he does very soon you will be on the Olympia stage and it works the same way as the negative.

If you wake up and the first thing you do is to load up on news, negativity , or perhaps go on instagram and facebook and spend all of your time there, you will never make any progress.

People you spend time with:

At Yale they had us do an assessment of our network and boy it made me realize my network was weak - We can talk about that in a different setting but I have a condensed form for you.

This is my assignment for you to Assess the level of your friendships.

“According to research by social psychologist Dr. David McClelland of Harvard, [the people you habitually associate with] determine as much as 95 percent of your success or failure in life.”

That’s huge.

Who do you spend the most time with?

Who are the people you most admire?

The way you start the morning can affect your whole day.

Outside of a few rise-and-shine types, most of us don't consider it our favorite part of the
day especially if you stayed up late the night before working, worrying, or wondering.
But if you learn how to start your morning right, you can reduce your stress and anxiety and significantly increase your chances of having a satisfying, productive day.

James Clear says:  You do not rise to the level of your goals, You fall to the level o your systems

So what's your system?

Remember?

  1. Remove Distractions when you wake up eg. Phone etc
  2. Gratitude - kid gets more showing this
  3. Read positivity
  4. Don’t touch phone
  5. Manage energy
    1. Mental exercise
    2. Meditate - calm and creative
