You may have read about John Astin in the news recently. With the Olympics just days away his previous work has gained more prominence.
He's served as a major inspiration for The Times & Sunday Times to publish an Olympic Scrapbook - John produced one himself as part of a school project the last time the Games were in London - back in 1948. His scrapbook contained close to 800 pictures and articles as he chronicled every imaginable corner of the event.
Now The Times & Sunday Times are releasing their own scrapbook, available in Saturday's edition of The Times at WH Smith & Waitrose, and John is pleased his work is being remembered 64 years on.
With the Olympics just a week away, the Times & Sunday Times have produced an Olympic scrapbook for people to collect their memories of the 2012 games.
The idea for the scrapbook was fuelled by the story of John Astin, who produced his own scrapbook the last time the worldwide event was hosted in London.
That was in 1948, where British sprinter Dorothy Manley won silver in the women's 100m behind legendary Dutch runner Fanny Blankers-Koen.
Manley, now 84, reflects on her achievements of 1948. Hear her story now.

The UK’s largest charity supporting people with a learning disability are launching a worldwide championship aimed at improving spelling.
Mencap have set up Spellathon, an online competition to take place starting next Monday (the 21st May) for a week. For the first time, 3D animated technology will be used to raise funds as well as education.
The voice of Stephen Fry will be used online to guide users through a series of games which can be played on mobiles, tablets, PC’s or even on a classroom whiteboard.
25% of all money raised will remain with the schools the children go to.
