Anger is a normal emotion that we all experience but it does need to be managed. Scripture gives very clear guidelines. In this sermon, Ian draws out these principles from various Scriptures and touches on what might lie beneath our anger.
In this week's sermon, Mark draws us into Exodus 3 as he imparts some wonderful truths about the nature of God.
Hebrews 2 begins with a serious warning about drifting away from what God has said to us through Jesus. But what has He said? And what would drifting look like? Join Ian as he explains.Hebrews 2:1-4
Jesus is God’s ultimate word to humanity. That’s quite a claim! In day-to-day life we are in the habit of checking the credentials of people who make significant claims. Is Jesus a dependable source? What are His credentials? This is what we will learn from the first four verses of Hebrews.
Join Trevor as he unpacks some wonderful facts and views on the book of Hebrews, and gets us excited about the rest of this sermon series!
As humans, we are no strangers to the unexpected, not least Mary when she was visited by the angel Gabriel. But how can we negotiate change successfully? Let's learn from Mary!
Join Trevor as we discover anew the incredible Scriptures and truths... that Jesus really is GOD! Be encouraged.

oin us as we dive into this crucial sermon series, as we take a look into the times we are in, what to expect, and how we are to live.
In this message, Trevor summarizes the gospel Paul preached in his letter to the Romans and asks 'how can we know for sure that we are part of God's people?' May it bless you.
In Episode 1, we learned that God has the ultimate choice over who will be saved. Is this fair?
How to get through suffering.
Last week, Trevor gave us an overview of the Christian perspective on suffering, and it may have been shocking to hear that suffering is inevitable for Christians. But though God may not deliver you out of your suffering, He will deliver you through it. Question is: how do we get through? What do we hold onto? And are we being held in the midst of suffering?
In this sermon Trevor Lowden-Stoole brings out four truths from Romans 8:16-25.
Be encouraged by Ian's sermon in Romans, where he talks about: • Radical Holiness • Fearless Freedom • Childhood Experienced • Hope of Glory
Join Trevor as he shares the incredible hope we have, in one of Roman's most crucial passages.
Harvest has a vision for every member to be in a Life Group. Why do we think this is important? Join Ian as he explores the Biblical teaching on the importance of fellowship and unpacks what the Scriptural recipe for fellowship looks like.
What is Harvest about? Where are we going? What do we value? Join Ian as he answers these questions.
Today we look at the beauty of life in Christ from Romans 8. As we explore the passage we see that there is no condemnation (or punishment for sin) for those who have been transformed by Jesus. The Christian Life takes on a different focus and the results are beautiful.
We are so grateful to have you join us and please do get in touch if we can help you with anything at all.
Now that we have been saved by grace, we begin the process of being transformed into the likeness of Christ. Although obeying God’s Code of Conduct is part of this process, rules don’t have the power to make us better people. In fact, rules makes things worse for us, because although we might agree with them, we battle to follow them. Why is this? And is there a better way?
Today we continue our series in Romans where Paul uses the analogy of Slaves and Masters to get across spiritual truths in our lives.
We apologize for the bad sound quality during this recording.
Join Trevor Lowden-Stoole as we continue our study of Paul's letter to the Romans and discover the foundational, life-changing truths contained in it.
Join Trevor as we explore the incredible hope that this chapter has to offer in Romans 5!
Today we dive into Romans 4 as we look at the life of Abraham and what that means for us today.
Join Craig as we start arriving at our destination: the hope we have in Christ that we see at the end of Romans 3.
We all know that the darkness always seems darkest before the dawn. But it’s that very darkness that makes us long for the dawn; it highlights our desperate need for the dawn. As humans, we need to grasp the reality of our condition before we can accept what God, in His love and kindness, has to offer us. Romans 3:1-20
Salvation necessitates a work of God in the hearts of people. This work is often referred to as circumcision of the heart. Apart from such a work in the heart no one can be saved whether Jew or Gentile. The good news is God has promised to do this work in the hearts of all His people. By doing so they will be empowered to fulfill the Law and please Him - something no one can do unless their heart has been circumcised by God. This is the message Trevor shares in this sermon as he leads us through.
Romans 2:17-29
Sometimes we need to hear the bad news before we will accept the good news. That’s why it’s important to have a clear perception of reality, and to be honest, though most of us are genuinely good people, we aren’t as good as we think.
Today we start a new series from the book of Romans. This piece of scripture is considered to be one of the clearest explanations of the good news of Jesus and we can’t wait to journey through it together.
We are so privileged to have Glen Miller with us. Glen has been a pastor for many years and leads Hands of Hope which has a huge impact in Zimbabwe.
Today he speaks about God's favourite place on earth. And once we realize that, how does it affect what we care about and how we live?
This is the last of the Upside-Down series. Last week, we explored three traits of Kingdom Citizens, namely that they are loving, forgiving and exemplary. However, to show these traits requires radical transformation of the heart. Join Ian as he adds fruitfulness and obedience to the list and describes the transformation that makes it all possible.
Luke 6:43-49
Today we look at part 2 in our series on the Upside Down Kingdom taken from the sermon on the plain in Luke 6.
We trust you are challenged and encouraged!
If we belong to God’s Kingdom, we may experience His blessings. But who qualifies to enter the Kingdom of God? And how should we behave if we want to be blessed by God? Join Ian as he answers these questions and uncovers the main principal that guides the ethics of the upside-down kingdom - the principle that leads us into the greatest blessing.
The Christian faith hinges on Jesus' death and resurrection. Today we look at:
Did Jesus' death and resurrection catch God by surprise? Why was the resurrection important? What do we receive as a result? How can I experience the life change the resurrection brings?
Many Christians today only have a partial knowledge of the message of the cross because they have only been told part of it. This has left many with a skewed knowledge of the God of the Bible and is causing great problems in the church; problems like worldliness and immorality.
In this message Trevor gives us an overview of what the full message of the cross is and challenges us to embrace it fully.
Christ’s crucifixion exploded into history 2000 years ago, and the shock waves have rocked the foundations of humankind ever since. But have you allowed the power of the cross to take effect? To do this, you must respond. Join Ian as be describes three appropriate responses to the power of the cross.
Join Trevor as he explores the incredible gift given to us; the gift of Scripture, and what it can accomplish.
Transformation requires teamwork. The measure of a country’s economic health is it’s GDP. We can use the acronym GDP as the measure of a team’s health. Join Ian as he explains how Harvest needs to generational, diverse and productive if we want to be effective agents of transformation.
Titus 3:12-15
If you’ve been at Harvest for while, you will have heard us preaching about sharing the good news of God’s salvation through Jesus. We have approached this subject from a theological angle, answering the “why” and the “what” questions. Namely why sharing the good news is important and what the good news is. But many folk still feel intimidated about the practicalities of how to share their faith with friends, family or work colleagues. Join Ian as shares some practical pointers in today’s sermon. Isaiah 53:1-6
Max Lucado once wrote, "God answers the mess of life with one word: Grace." Why would he think this? Join Ian as he explains why grace is at the heart of transformation.
Today we look at what it means to live out God's design for family and close relationships. When we do this, the Good News of Jesus shines brightly into a world that desperately needs to experience the love and truth of Christ.
Most people are familiar with the 80/20 principle, which asserts that one should concentrate on doing the 20% of things that have 80% of the impact. In Titus, Paul teaches us that leadership has a disproportionately high effect on the health of a church because leadership is about influence. In seeking to be a transformational church, we must have transformational leaders at church leadership level and at the level of each person’s sphere of influence.
Join Ian as he introduces a new preaching series on Paul’s Letter to Titus and explains how it applies to us as a transformational church.

Luke 2:8-20
It's a terrifying thing to be confronted by God’s glory. Join Ian as he explains why and how the gift of Jesus can enable us to experience peace rather than terror.
Many of us have had to change our Christmas plans and will be denied time we were hoping to have with loved ones. Are there unseen truths which help to bring perspective to these losses? Join Ian on a journey of discovery and learn that this life never speaks the last word on any loss.
Christmas is often a time for giving and receiving Gifts. One of the Gifts Christ brings is Hope.
Hope is the expectation that good is coming. Sadly we sometimes place our hope in many different things that cannot ultimately satisfy. The only perfect source of Hope is Christ.
Join us today as we explore what it means to embrace the Hope giver!
Sometimes we receive gifts that we don’t expect. They might not appear very exciting. We may even want to trade them for something else at the time. There were a number of characters closely involved in Jesus birth, life and death who at times probably felt that He was a gift to them that they didn’t expect or didn’t look as attractive as other options. But in time, they realized that He was THE gift that they wouldn’t trade for anything.
Jesus is called by many titles in Scripture. Each title reveals something of who He is to us. In this message Trevor looks at the four most commonly used titles and takes us back into the Old Testament to discover what they meant to the Jews in Jesus' time. This message will give you a fresh and clearer insight into who He is and the place of unrivaled prominence He has amongst humanity.
Text: Romans 8:17-30
The last 18 months have been very tough for our Harvest family with accidents, death and illness. As a result, many have been suffering and wondering what we can cling to in such a stormy world. Join Ian as he preaches on the theme of suffering and the confidence and comfort we as Christians may experience in spite of it.
Today we look at the work of the Holy Spirit woven through scripture. In this message Craig explores:
We would love to hear from you. Please feel free to reach out to us via the website, email, or text.
How significant is it that you are created in the image of God? Join Ian as explores what it means to be image bearers, why we are made in God’s image, and the implications of this for our daily lives.
Trevor delves into this epic Bible theme with soberness and truth... exploring the questions "What is the Day of the Lord?" and "When will this Day come?"
It’s been a tough time for Harvesters with the passing of Marietta, Jason, Vicki and Sheryl. And the Covid/Zimbabwean situation hasn’t helped. Perhaps you are doubting God and His power. Maybe you are discouraged and anxious. Join Ian as he finds encouragement from the story of the Kingdom of God.
The next in our 'Epic Themes' preaching series is 'The Gospel.' Join Ian as he unpacks this incredible theme, elaborating on the meaning, the promise, the priority, the proof, the power and the purity, of the Gospel!
The water of life is one of the most powerful themes that is woven throughout the story of humankind. Join Ian as he traces the theme beginning with water from The Garden and ending with water from The Throne.
Trevor delivers a powerful, passionate message, that stirs our hearts and wills away from the things of this world, and towards a deep, genuine desire for holiness!
Craig speaks passionately about the Lord's Supper, and gets us excited to share in it together!
He will be sharing on these 4 points:
For the last few months, we have been beating the drum for belonging to a local church. And we’ve said that one of the ways we show we belong is by getting baptised. But why get baptised? What is the reason for baptism? What does it mean? And for that matter, who qualifies and how does one do it?
Just before Jesus went to the cross, He shared with His disciples about how best people could see that He had changed their lives. It wasn’t about following rules and regulations. It didn’t include a certain way to dress. Jesus explained that the way in which we love each other will show society that there is something different about us on the inside.
Today Craig shares from a passage in the book of John, that may be well known to many. But, the question of whether we are living it out each day, is more difficult to answer!
Things are not as they should be in the world. That’s why our vision is to be a transformational church since transformation is the process of moving things from the way they are to the way they should be. Join Ian as he unpacks Harvest’s vision and explains how it can be realized.
God loves diversity, even in the church. Yet, in the diversity He also wants unity. He wants the church to be like a symphony: each of us 'making different sounds' and yet together in unity producing 'music' that will bring glory to God. In this message Trevor looks at what the basis for such unity is, how Satan seeks to oppose it and what we, as God's people, need to do to foster and maintain it.
Craig Roberts spurs us on to continue our race to the finish, while chasing after the real Hero - Jesus Christ! He speaks about the pitfalls we may encounter, and gives our spirits a boost to keep going, and finish strong!
Based on Hebrews 12:1-2.
Ever since the earliest of times, humans have been organising themselves into groups so as to survive and thrive. We see this on a family level and then all way through societies and nations to an international level. But for groups to work, there needs to be some sort of structure and representative authority within the group. And a local church is no exception.
Join Ian as he explores the Bible to find out how God wants local churches to be structured.
Today we explore the mission of the church. Whilst people may have slightly varying perspectives, scripture is clear that the mission of the church is to Glorify God by:
Proclaiming The Gospel Making Disciples Strengthening Churches
If either of these are neglected, the church will not be all that it can for Christ.
In this challenging message Trevor shows from Scripture the corporate nature of our calling in Christ and why it is vital that every believer be part of a literal, organized community of believers.
Everyone has an opinion about the church - what it is, how to do it, its function, its mission, its structure etc. And this is partly because the church is a social institution that can be observed and studied. But there are problems with using social study to define the church since what we observe may not line up with God’s original design.
Join Ian as he opens up Scripture to define the nature of the Church as God created it.
Today USA celebrates Independence. We live in a world that idolises Independence.
But, if we are to have a relationship with Christ, we need to live Dependent Lives.
Bloggers, authors and social commentators are writing about a global pandemic of entitlement. The Zimbabwean workplace is not exempt from the ravages of this pandemic. Join Ian as he explains how the problem can be addressed.
Faith working through love - Acts 2:36-47
Filled with a fervency born of his calling in Christ, Trevor Lowden-Stoole inspires us to be part of an active body of Christ... filled with Scripture, we pray you are as moved as we are; to jump headlong into the life changes we are called to by our Lord Jesus.
We are at war - we just may not always realise it!
Craig continues the journey through Ephesians as we look at what it means to Stand Strong in the Lord and put on His armour as we live for Christ in the spiritual battles we face.
Today we explore:
On October 27th 2005, in a small French town, there was a clash between police and youth. The incident led to rioting. By the 7th of November, just eleven days later, rioting had spread to 274 towns throughout France. In response to the crisis, the French Government declared a national state of emergency which lasted for three months. Once the dust had finally settled, 2 888 young people had been arrested, 8973 vehicles had been damaged, buildings had been torched, and the cost of the total damage was over 200 million Euros.
This is an example of what can happen when children are not brought up to respect authority.
Join Ian as he explains God’s design for the parent/child relationship.
Ephesians 6:1-4
Today we explore what it means to live a good life on earth versus the great life that God has called us to.
We will only find true purpose in Christ when we follow Him with everything we have. But it takes us stepping into the unknown, away from a life of comfort and self preservation. It is our prayer that you would drop your nets and follow Jesus!
Successful relationships are of great importance, and marriages in particular. For this reason we must understand God’s design for marriage. In this sermon, Ian explains the roles of husband and wife.
Ephesians 5:22-33
In this message, Trevor Lowden-Stoole talks about the wonder and greatness of Jesus and His selfless love for both God His Father and for us His people, and what this all means to us. You will be enlightened, encouraged and challenged by this message. God bless.
The Story of Jonah is a picture of God’s relentless love for those who we don’t think deserve it, and his passion to see us partner with Him on that mission. As we journey through this short book in the bible, we see that God:
Glen is back with us, visiting from the United States. He shares a powerful and moving message in this week's sermon!
The Apostle Paul held up his life as a model for all believers to follow. In his life we see what faith in Christ really looks like and what Christianity is all about. In this message Trevor Lowden-Stoole describes the kind of man Paul was and exhorts us to emulate him in the way we live our lives, in these times of apostasy and ever-increasing wickedness.
Ephesians 5:22-33
When an inventor creates something, he designs it for a particular purpose. If we do not respect the inventor’s purpose when using his invention, it’s easy to get hurt.
Join Ian as he explains God’s purpose for marriage.
Today's message is taken from Ezekiel 37 which captures Ezekiel's vision from the Lord in the valley of dry bones.
Craig draws out some of the ways we may feel in a similar situation to Israel at that time. And in the midst of no hope, God brings life!
Paul writes that without the resurrection, Christians are of all people most to be pitied.
Join Ian as he talks about the
1) certainty, 2) importance and 3) effect of the resurrection.
Throughout our lives we will all experience many tests and trials.
The Lord wants to use these as opportunities for us to grow in intimacy with Him, and walk further along the journey of life He has prepared for us.
Craig looks at the story of Abraham and Isaac in the bible as a blueprint for how we can experience spiritual growth through the tests that we face.
God wants us to understand the times in which we live and what we must do in them. This is why He has given us the prophetic Scriptures. In this message, Trevor Lowden-Stoole, shares where he believes we currently stand in God's prophetic timetable, what lies ahead of the church of Jesus Christ, and how we should be preparing for it.
Ephesians 5:15 - 21
Last week, Ian explained how a life that is productive, discerning and Spirit filled will protect you from the threat of deception. But what is at the heart of such a life? What can we focus on in order to make sure that we are productive and discerning? The answer according to Apostle Paul is our relationships. Join Ian as he explains how we can build great relationships using a Holy Spirit empowered attitude of submission.
Paul writes “let no one deceive you with empty words!” But how can we make sure this doesn’t happen?
Join Ian as he describes the type of life that will help you avoid being deceived.
Scripture: Ephesians 5:15-21
Today Trevor looks at 4 key truths from the book of 2 Peter:
The outpouring of God’s wrath is inevitable
We are living in a period of grace and the reason for this period is because God wants no-one to perish
People will Scoff at the word of God and disregard it.
There will be false teachers who will arise and twist the scriptures
We continue our journey through the life of Gideon today!
There is so much for us to learn from this passage:
We are always available to talk and pray with you.
Last week, Craig explained how your identity impacts your God-given mission as a Christ follower.
This week, Ian explores the impact identity has on your lifestyle.
There is a story God is writing in each of our lives.
He calls us into a life of purpose that is challenging, exciting and naturally supernatural.
We may not feel we have what it takes, the dreams He lays on our hearts may seem impossible - but if we would turn our eyes to Him, realise our identity in Christ and step into our destiny - a life of eternal impact awaits.
Journey with Craig through the life of Gideon as we learn lessons on what it means to have King Jesus at work in our lives inspite of our weakness and doubt.
esus says that in this world we will face trails.
Today Trevor looks at 4 main points in answering the questions that help us to have hope in the midst of suffering:
We trust you are challenged and encouraged by the message today!
Psychologists are beginning to realise that an alter ego can empower a person to be a better version of themselves. They refer to this as the “Batman Effect”.
For thousands of years, the Bible has been encouraging Christians to do a similar thing by imitating God and walking in love as Christ did. But there are significant differences.
Ian continues to explore these, concentrating primarily of the practicalities of walking in love as Christ did. These practicalities involve three crucial replacements:
1) anger with forgiveness, 2) theft with giving, and 3) talk that corrodes the fabric of community with words that supply grace.
It feels as those we are in the midst of a multitude of global events that affect our lives and conversations - Covid 19, US Elections and Lockdowns to name a few!
If you are a Christ-follower, would you say your conversations around those topics is Christ-centered, full of hope and draws people towards a relationship with the Lord?
Today Craig talks through a passage in Luke where two men were having difficulty processing world events as well and how Jesus helped them through the process!
If you are exploring faith, please do get in touch with us, we would love to help you on your journey of faith!
Psychologists are beginning to realize that an alter ego can empower a person to be a better version of themselves.
They refer to this as the “Batman Effect”. For thousands of years, the Bible has been encouraging Christians to do a similar thing by imitating God and walking in love as Christ did. But there are significant differences.
Ian explains these as he explores: · the Source, · the Substance, · and the Practicalities of walking in love as Christ did.
Have you ever received a gift that didn’t mean very much?
Sometimes a gift doesn’t mean very much to a person because he doesn’t have much use for it. A plastic whistle from a Christmas cracker is one thing. Donated bone marrow for a person with leukaemia is another.
Sometimes a gift doesn’t mean very much because it has little value. Perhaps it didn’t cost the giver anything. But if a kidney donor dies after making a successful donation, she has paid the ultimate price for the life of her friend. And the recipient will never be able to settle the debt because even if she offers her life it won’t be enough, it won’t bring the donor back.
Ian reflects on the ultimate Christmas gift in terms of:
We are hardwired for the supernatural.
Today we look at why The Virgin Birth is not an addition to the Christmas Faith that can be removed but is absolutely essential.
So much of life seems to be defined by impersonal forces beyond our control. Is there any order in the chaos?
The Christmas narratives reveal that Mary and Joseph experienced hardship at many levels – just as we do. And from Mary and Joseph’s perspective, it would have seemed that there was little meaning in all they had to go through. With hindsight and the help of the gospels, it is possible for us to see what they went through with greater understanding. And as we do this, it brings our own struggles and mission into perspective.
Life is not about you, but Christ died for you.
This week Craig shares from a passage in Colossians about the majesty of God and our response to who He is. When we have the correct perspective - it changes everything!

Everyone wants to live a full life – one that is worthy of the title “life”.
However, if we try to seize life whilst ignoring God because we don’t want to submit to Him, our lives become increasingly futile and lifeless.
This will change if we are prepared to humble ourselves, allowing God to teach and lead us.
The journey begins with recreation as God gives birth to us as His sons and daughters. Without such a rebirth, fullness of life is unattainable.
But conversion is only the start! In order to choose life, we must do so on a daily basis. Ian explains how to do this in today’s sermon.
A Kingdom is a place where a King reigns.
The Kingdom is spoken about many times in scripture. God's Word tells us that the Kingdom is here on earth now, but also of a future day when it will be seen in all its fullness. What exactly does that mean? And where do we fit in as Christ-followers?
Today Craig shares how we need to live in the tension of both of these truths.
So often we live lives that are not worthy of the title “life” because we are not living the full life God intended for us. And living a lifeless life is not a worthy response to the gospel.
Paul has been urging us to render a worthy return to our priceless salvation by growing up. Jesus anticipates maturity in His followers! And we grow up by becoming the kind of church that makes itself grow. Paul teaches us to do this by 1) building and maintaining unity, and 2) by serving one another in love.
Today he adds another string to the bow by urging us to reject the death that comes from the old life. But to do that we need to understand the old life’s:
I. Characteristics II. Origin III. Outcome
There is a 5 letter word that we often find difficult to hand over completely to the Lord - our WEALTH.
When it is spoken of in church we may squirm in our seats, and it may be the area of life we don’t really invite God into.
Jesus spoke into this topic on many occasions and today Craig will share from the Parable of The Rich Fool in Luke 12.
Regardless of whether you consider yourself wealthy or not - this message will challenge and encourage you to live free from anxiety as you place your resources in The Lord’s hands and unleash generosity for God's Kingdom in your life.
Becoming a disciple of Christ is a commitment to let God mould and transform our lives into the likeness of Christ. It involves a life long process of learning and change. In this message Trevor Lowden-Stoole challenges us to do what the apostles Paul and Peter tell us to do: get rid of all that is not of God and to be filled with all that is from God.
The early disciples of Christ had a passion to share Christ with the world no matter the cost. They couldn't wait to tell people about THIS LIFE as described by the angel who set them free from their prison cell.
What is it that makes them different from how we we may be living today?
They didn't let Secondary things take the place of the Primary.
That is the challenge Craig lays out for each of us today. And we can make changes right away by acknowledging, repenting, moving forward, and daily repeating that process!
It has taken great sacrifice to get you to where you are today. It cost God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. It has cost Christians in every generation. And we don’t want to waste all this sacrifice. For this reason, Paul urges us in Ephesians 4:1-16 to grow up. And growing up is not done in isolation. We will all grow if Harvest is the type of church where people CAN grow – a transformational church. How can we be such a church?
In Part 1, Ian explained that 1) We must get into the habit of building unity through charity, and 2) we must understand God’s provision for unity.
In Part 2, Ian talks about 1) God’s provision for growth, 2) Our responsibility to serve, and 3) The explosive results of partnership (i.e. when 1 and 2 are combined)
If one was to ask the 1st-century believers what their relationship to Jesus of Nazareth was, they would likely have answered, "We are his disciples". Today, very few believers would answer that way.
The understanding that Christians are disciples of Christ is all but lost today. So is the understanding of what a disciple actually is.
In this message, Trevor Lowden-Stoole describes what being a disciple meant in the 1st century and shows from Scripture that we are all called to be disciples of Christ. If taken to heart this message will revolutionize the way we view our relationship to Jesus Christ and the way we live our lives in His name.
It has taken great sacrifice to get you to where you are today. It cost God, Jesus and Holy Spirit.
1) We must get into the habit of building unity through what Ian calls charity; and 2) we must understand God’s provision for unity.
For many career paths, there is often quite a specific path to growth in the organization. If you pass certain tests or prove yourself capable in certain areas - you have the opportunity to move up the ranks.
When it comes to our journey of faith and being used by God, what is he looking for? Are His criteria the same as the society around us, or does He have other characteristics that He cares about more deeply?
Craig shares from the life of Abraham and the early Disciples as we look at 3 Key things God cares about:
In the mess of the world, it is incredible that we can know the future with 100% certainty!
We may not know the way that every little detail of our lives will turn out on earth, but we know enough about the most important things! For example:
That changes everything! And it should most definitely change how we live in the present.
As we continue the journey of faith in what it means to Storm the Gates of Hell, we trust today would help you to know that regardless of how hard life on earth can become - as Christ-followers, we have an incredible victory to look forward to!
In his last sermon, Ian answered the question: “Now that I belong, how should I respond?” God has brought us into a place of belonging, so that He can send us out to steward His affairs on earth. But – as you can imagine – being a steward of God’s is a lofty calling. So Paul carries a weighty burden as He prays for the Ephesians to become worthy stewards. From his prayer we learn: 1) what we need to become stewards of God, 2) how we get it, and 3) why we need it.
Today we start a new series by exploring Jesus' words to his disciples at Caesarea Philippi where He asked them, "who do you say that I am?" and later said, "...I will build my church and the gates of Hades will not overpower it."
The answer to the first question changes the trajectory of our lives as we join Him on the mission of His next statement!
Let's Storm the Gates of Hell together as God's Church Advances!
We continue the awe-inspiring journey through Ephesians!
In the message two weeks ago, we found out how every human can be restored to a state of belonging with God and one another!
But what is our response and how should we live now that we belong?
Today we open up Ephesians Chapter 3 where we find out how we can become a steward for the Lord:
For this reason I, Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus on behalf of you Gentiles— 2 assuming that you have heard of the stewardship of God's grace that was given to me for you... Ephesians 3vs1-2
Do you feel there is no hope for you or someone that you know?
Is anyone too far from the reach of Christ?
Today's message shows that no one is beyond the love of Christ! He goes when others won't, He reaches where others can't and He transforms who others have disregarded!
Psychological research has long proposed the need-to-belong theory which states that belongingness is such a fundamental human motivation that we feel the consequences of not belonging severely.
But why is it that every human seems to lack a genuine sense of belonging?
Join Ian as he answers this question and explains from Ephesians 2:11-22 where we can find true belonging.
Most people speak thousands of words every single day.
How many of those words are effective and useful? How many of them make a positive difference in the lives of others?
God spoke the world into existence. Scripture says that Death and Life are in the power of the tongue. Our words hold great weight.
Today we look at how we can make the best possible use of the words that we speak from the book of Proverbs.
Here is part 2 of our series in Ephesians where Ian shares from Ephesians on:
The global climate has a way of making us feel like we are in limbo.
This can lead us to become lethargic or stagnant in our faith.
But the Lord is always at work. Our mission is clear. The battle rages. And we are called to be a part of it.
So from today….
Will you make a heartfelt decision to live all out for the Lord? Will you choose to follow the commanding officer on the battlefield? Will you get ready to compete to win the prize? Will you prepare the land, plant the seed, care for the crops, and work hard making sure the harvest is plentiful?
The time is now!
Positive Before and After stories are always inspiring! It could be an old car that has been completely renewed, a stray animal who is now in perfect health, or a person who has recovered from a terrible accident. But why are we attracted to such stories? It is because they are all shadows of the ultimate before and after story - the story of salvation.
As we continue in Ephesians today, Pastor Ian challenges us to consider the following:
What do we need to be saved from? Who are we saved by? And what are we saved to?
We hope you feel encouraged and inspired as you watch with us today.
Some people find organisation and planning a walk in the park - for others, it seems like the most difficult thing on earth.
What does the bible say about a life of diligence? How can we improve in this area if we are weak? And what is the huge danger we must be aware of when it comes to diligence?
Craig explores passages from the book of Proverbs as well as a story from the life of King Solomon.
Where do you turn during the hardest times in your life? How do you find meaning in the chaos?
Today Ian shares from Ephesians as we look at 4 key ways that we find meaning:
We all need friendships. God has made us that way.
But how do we build GREAT friendships? What prevents us making lasting friendships?
Today we explore what the book of Proverbs has to say about friendship.
Here is the link to the short friendship survey: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Ob9k_EpATc8MKDz3yYDY9nNhKH7U9d_rqfeGTkbiK8U/edit
Pastor Ian Rea shares from Ephesians as opens up what it means to operate with a spirit of wisdom within us.
The Wisdom of God is always available.
We just need to turn down the volume of other noise in our lives in order to hear it.
Craig continues the journey through the book of Proverbs where we learn:
How to recognize the noise in our lives What we can do to turn down the volume How to walk in the way of wisdom The consequence of making unwise decisions The blessings of walking in wisdom
No matter how far you may feel you are from living wisely - there is always an open door from the Lord to start listening and obeying His words of wisdom.
We all have the opportunity to be adopted into God’s family if we accept His free gift of grace.
Today Ian Rea shares from Ephesians as we explore:
Every action has a positive or negative consequence. Using Godly wisdom determines the end result.
Craig shares a message from the book of Proverbs in the P.E. series on Spiritual Growth.
Today we explore what the starting point of growing in Godly wisdom is - the fear of the Lord.
As Christ-followers we enjoy EVERY spiritual blessing in Christ.
We start a new series today called P.E. (Spiritual Exercise from Ephesians and Proverbs)! As we dive into these two very different books - we are praying that you would grow spiritual muscle as you put God’s word into practice!

At Harvest Church, we care about one thing more than anything else, Jesus Christ. We are a family of individuals that have found hope in Jesus, and simply want as many people as possible to experience that exact same freedom.
Do you ever feel like you are doing life in your own strength as a Christ-follower?
We have a choice each day to open the door to God, do what we can in the situation and then let God do the rest.
— This week Ian encourages us to remember that God is on our side. He explores King Hezekiah’s response to a difficult situation in 2 Chronicles and shows us how we can put that into practice in our lives today.
Jesus said that through Him we can experience abundant life (John10vs10). He also said that in this world we will have trouble (John16vs33). _
These two statements seem to contradict themselves - BUT only if it is not possible to experience abundant life when we face obstacles and trials. _
In this message, Craig looks at the perspective we need to have in order for our obstacles to become opportunities for spiritual growth. We learn this perspective from Jesus, as well as many biblical characters who experience immense obstacles during their lives on earth.
The most important thing that we can do as Christ-followers during this time of uncertainty (and in fact all the time!) is to pursue God's presence.
Ian Wilsher shares from Exodus 34 in the message this week.
