The Influential Woman is the podcast about women for women who are ready to live on purpose, maximise their potential, release their gift, and make an impact and an income doing what they were born to do. In it, Trish Jones talks about how to build your business, your life and your personal brand around the thing you were born to do. These are usually those things you love to talk about, do or teach, using your natural God-given gift.

Despite the criticism - mainly by those who never read the book but have jumped on the negative bandwagon - Redeeming Love is story of how God restores us, little by little. We all want overnight transformation but as I heard someone say one day, a lot of what we call deliverance is people needing knowledge - knowledge of WHO God is.
What Fran and I discuss about identity restoration from the perspective of the book is:
- How our identity is tainted - often from an early age - by circumstances, what we've believed about what people say about us and how the enemy confirms what we believe by what we later experience
- What rejection does to wound our souls
- Why God uses people in our identity restoration process but keeps ultimate ownership - pg 349 "Let her go beloved... would you let her hang on her own cross forever?"

Today's episode of The Influential Woman Podcast carries on from the foundational theme I talked about in yesterday's episode.
However, today, my focus in on believing. And in particular, what you must believe about you.
Abraham believed what God believed about him. How's that going for you. Where and who are you getting info about your identity from? If it's from your childhood, your past, society, school or even church, you might just have your identity all muddled up.
2021 is your opportunity to ask God what you need to believe about you. What your strengths are, what you like what you dislike, what energises you, what depletes you. Go ahead and ask Him. He's ready for you to drop some of those beliefs that are no longer serving you and develop His perspective of you so you serve and flourish in the areas that will bring you greater joy.
Tomorrow we're going to start getting into the practicalities of how The Influential Woman does business. We're going to talk about what she needs to do to get started. It's all a part of the foundation that setting you up for success! You go girl.

It's a New Year and I'm sure most people were glad to leave 2020 behind them.
Rather than thinking up big audacious goals for 2021 - not that there is anything wrong with big audacious goals - I decided that I was going to focus on optimising my day daily.
It's based on the premise of how we "let go and let God," and how to partner with God in what He has for us rather than us saying "hey God, will you bless what I want to do."
I know that the basic principles I talk about in this episode and the practical, biblical suggestion I make is going to destroy a lot of frustrations, kill a lot of fears and replace those with fulfilment, joy and real prosperity.

I decided to do something a little different today with this podcast and I'm hoping to carry it on, but we'll see... Elodie and I went live and talked about what it was like for each of us growing up as Christians.
Whilst I certainly didn't get it all right - which is why I named the podcast being perfectly imperfect - God said something to me one day when Elodie was about 5-years old and it changed the way I would raise her compared to how I was raised myself.
One thing I didn't mention in this podcast, I was raised by my Grandparents, but neither my grandparents nor my parents were Christians. So what I'm talking about here is really my church experience.
It was great to have one of the original Ivy Church posse on the call because believe me, there was still plenty of sunny days despite our youth leaders being more than a little strict. I appreciate them even today.

It's been interesting in that some people consider selling during this time advantage taking while others are continuing business as if there is no pandemic and almost urging others to continue as if everything is normal, and I felt compelled to chime in with my two cents.
