Your weekly Gladcast is back. the boys run through the games over the weekend after splitting the 2 games this week. A home win to keep the new undefeated streak at home going however a defeat on the road to the Sharks ended the weekend on a sour note. we build up to the next few games with the big home game for the Womens team as they take on Benfica in FIBA Euro Cup. the club also has its first home double header as the men at 3pm seek to take revenge over Sheffield Sharks before the Womens team have their league opener against Durham.

Scottish International and Gb Eurobasket squad member Hannah Robb joins the podcast. The new Gladiator moves back to Scotland after spending 3 seasons with the Leicester Riders in the WBBL, which has elevated her to representing Gb over the last several windows. The last addition to the bbl roster sees Gb international Kyle Johnson jet in to the Gladiators. The former Eagles man moves further north to play for the gladiators for this new season after playing this summer in canada.
The newest announced signing for the Caledonia Gladiators is Lukas Palyza. the Czech Republican internationalist joins the club after a successful career in his native NBL. he joins the podcast to discuss his move and what we can expect from European competition.

The Giants came to town on Sunday to take on the Gladiators. the home team Caledonia took the win by 9 points.
We spoke post match with Giants Captain Rahmon Fletcher and Coach Vince Macauley plus your Gladiator heroes. They all mentioned similar things about intensity of defence which must be great for the coaching staff to hear their own analysis in what was a high scoring game.

In this final part of 3 with Gladiators owner Steve Timoney we discuss the importance of history for the new owners. We also speak about on the court plans in terms of European Basketball, taking control of their own fixtures with the build of a purpose built basketball facilities, with the aim to make it the best in many ways and creating a short term home. We talk about longevity of the squads and the plan to move away from complete new rosters each season and the plan to retain a large majority of the squads. The last thing I ask Steve is what is success to them and The Gladiators?
In part 2 we chat more about the BBL. How Steve feels the league need to raise the standards of fan engagement and the product on game day to fill arenas.

The Glasgow Rocks complete their line up of Imports with the brilliant addition of Princeton Onwas. The 28yr old utility player joins the Rocks on his 6th stop as a pro. Hear what he has to say on joining Glasgow.
David Sloan from East Tennessee State arrives to be the rocks starting Point Guard. The flashy point guard will lace up for the new season and is someone Rocks fans should be excited to watch.

Rocks continue their recruitment charge building towards the new season with the addition of 6'6 forward Jeremiah Bailey.
