Thank you for listening.
Reprepare the places our Father had prepared. We will face opposition. Let us not think that just because 2020 is over that there won't be any opposition. If we're moving forward, we'll always face opposition. If you're not facing opposition, you aren't moving.
Our peace does not come from the problem. Even after all this 2020 crud is over, there will be more problems. There will be a tomorrow and it will have challenges of its own. We have to prepare for tomorrow. Get determined today to rejoice through the trials of tomorrow.
There came a point in history, when God placed the very first puzzle piece. "Let there be light." He places each puzzle piece exactly where He desires it to go. In this great puzzle there is a place for you. A specific place God has set aside for you.
A Christian must be firmly connected to the vine. We must do whatever it takes to stay connected. When we do that we put ourselves in a position that we can't help but produce good fruit.
The woman with the issue of blood believed Jesus would heal her. What she believed had to bring her to a point of action. Do you believe, to the point of acting?
You don't have to be ashamed of the glory of God. We have the opportunity to move from faith to faith, strength to strength. Don't move back. don't move back to the fear, the doubt. Fear causes us to shift blame.
We desire to walk out the lifestyle of a disciple. Discipleship costs us everything. Are you willing to give that up?
In the Garden, when Adam and Ever partook of the fruit, their eyes were opened to things they should not have seen. Fear, doubt, shame. Eve saw the fruit and desired it. Partaking of the fruit their eyes were opened to their nakedness. Where they were once comfortable with God, connected, they then created a disconnect. And God knew. He knew when they ate they fruit, He knew they would, He knew where they were when they did. When He called for them, it wasn't because He didn't know. It wasn't for His benefit, but for theirs. When God calls for us, it's not for His benefit, but for ours. We need to know where we are. He calls to us in the midst of the darkness so that we can see where we are.
Do we really trust the way we say we do? Do we really love the way we say we do? Almighty God chose to love you and I. Because he chose to love you, He chose to trust you, He chose to invest in you and He knows ALL that you've done. He knows all the garbage, all the icky stuff and He still chose to pull you up into the light and seat you with Him.
Jesus and God gave the best that they could give. God gave his son. Jesus gave his life. And the Holy Spirit...well He has to deal with you for all eternity. We want to invest only in what we think deserves investment. We often times give to others what they give to us rather than what God would give. We don't see others as deserving. But if we are to follow after God we must love the unlovable, trust the untrustworthy. What would you not do for the kingdom?
Whatever we conform to is what we prove. We have the ability to prove the Kingdom or the world. As we're having this battle, conforming to the world or the Kingdom, it's an identity crisis. If you're consuming the things of this world, but reading the word and expecting the benefits of the Kingdom, reading but not investing, you'll only reap what you sow. The things of this world will never bring satisfaction. We invest more into the kingdom of this world and then are confused when the kingdom promises don't apply to our lives.
We want to blame God for that misery but we're just reaping from the sin we've sown. As we begin to sow into the kingdom, we will reap kingdom benefits. We're sowing into the world but expecting kingdom benefits from our sinful lifestyles.
God was the first to invest and He invested the best. God made the greatest investment of all. We have NOTHING that can compare to the gift of Jesus. He was the first fruit of many.
We are better off for remembering how mighty God is. It's not a benefit to God if we remember and realize how mighty He is. It benefits us. This represents what God has done and will do in our lives. What we do with the first item, dictates what will happen with the rest. We have to put the first things first. Honor God with the firsts.
There are times, circumstances and situations that tire us. At those times we need to say 'I will not be satisfied with this disquiet of my soul!' When we're feeling that way- we WILL yet praise God. So many times today we give the power of praise to our worries, our circumstances. What has the power in your life to steal your praise from God?
There are going to be times of disquiet in your lives. Prepare for these times by passionately praising. As we passionately praise, it enables us to remember the goodness of God. Remember who God is.
Often in the body, we are people of reaction. The enemy takes a shot at us and we feel like we have to shoot back. Our God is a God of action. Defining decisions.
The woman with the issue of blood, she tried and tried for 12 years...and only got worse.
You may have faced things and it may have felt like forever. You may have asked God, what is the purpose of going through this!?
The challenges never stop, never quit. We're suffering and the challenges just seem so immense.
The woman with the issue of blood, she was gone, she was done. The challenges were just too much. It was then that she heard Jesus was coming.
"Who are My temples?"
We are the temples of the holy spirit. We are called to be his temples and tabernacles the river of life can flow out of. Wherever this river goes, it brings life. And it's better to be in the river, than to be standing on the outside.
How do we become these temples, allowing the river of life to flow out of us? We have to see if what is coming out of us is good, or bad. There are things inside of us that need more of God's water to give it LIFE. Keep an eye on what's coming into you. Because what comes in, is what goes out. If enough good is coming in, good will come out.
Join us as we continue our 21 day fast, focusing on Consecration, Preparation and Application. This week marks the beginning of the application phase of our fast!
It's not God that needs to move closer to us. It's us that needs to move closer to him. Theres no problem with God...but with us. Nothing else has the right for me to bow to and anytime we allow the circumstances to bring negativity-- we bow to it.
Hope in the unseen is faith. If we are not responding to the things God has placed in us, then that lack of response brings about undesired results. 2020 will be the year of response. Respond in faith. Act upon that which you hope for.
Join us for our last service of 2019! Let's go into this next year with a clear vision!
In the midst of good and evil, man is not good. We are all sinners. But He is always there for us. That is the beauty of redemption. He is faithful. He hears us. He is willing. We can have hope for this.
Feeling done? Burnt out? Shut it all down. "Eat". Read His word. Pray. Listen. Spend time with Him. If you sow sparingly, you will reap sparingly. Your time, your love, your effort. When a relationship is reaping sparingly, don't stop giving. You stop giving and you will reap NOTHING.
Discipleship- wanting to become like Jesus, the master, the King, learning from Him, wanting to be more like Him.
Being a disciple is not easy. Not everyone goes into discipleship. Being a disciple brings correction into our lives, and not every believer wants correction.
God has given you time, talents, resources. USE them. Even if it fails, it's better then going unused.
God responds to giving. God responds to faith. Faith is the currency of heaven...fear is the currency of hell. Giving is more than money. It's your time, your talents, your resources. When you give your time, your talents, your resources it's a mark of maturity. Being stingy is a mark of immaturity. Better to give than to receive.
You're gonna be weary sometimes. You're gonna wanna quit. Keep going. Keep cultivating. When you grow weary, come back, fill yourself with His spirit.
Can you sing and pray? Can you sing a prayer? David was a prime example that these things are possible.
Be eager in our suffering for the blessing that is to come. The light at the end of the tunnel.
There is no destiny or dynasty or riches and glory outside of Him. All that is outside of Him is darkness. Do not search for the light in dark places.
Heroes don't start off as heroes. When we read stories of heroes and their mighty deeds, that is the end of their story. At the beginning they were desperate, broken men.
If the world hates you, you're doing something right. If the world agrees with you, is happy with you, you need to reevaluate what you're doing.
God will only bless us to the degree that we've prepared for. God didn't give you talents to hide them in the backyard. He gave them to you for a reason.
You may be a casual Christian and theres nothing wrong with that, but let's take it up a notch. Everyone here, God desires to take up a notch. Disciples are never made accidentally. Discipleship is intentional.
If we are going to be those disciples we need to be intentional We have to begin to cultivate, inside, the lifestyle of what it's to be a disciple
How far are you willing to walk?
When God makes a promise in your life, DON'T question it. Often times, it’s not that we doubt God, we doubt God in us. We believe God but we don’t believe God can move in us. We doubt God’s power in us. We need to take hold of God’s promise in our lives.
Two very important points to know: where to fight, and what to fight with. Our weapons are prayer, proclamation, declaration, SPEAKING.
Know the need. There is no gray area of needs. They're solid.
Know where to go. So many times, so many of us look in the wrong places when needs arise.
Know the faith. There are literal and tangible things we can do to build or break our faith.
Know the result.
We as modern day believers don't take advantage. We settle for the less. God loves us and He wants us to obtain and retain all the blessings that were purchased for us.
Victory doesn't always look how we think it'll look. Victory is not always victory and defeat is not always defeat.
Each breath, heartbeat, moment... is one you will never get back. We need to begin to live intentionally, with a purpose.
How far will your nevertheless go? To be a nevertheless person first you have to get something, and then you have to give something.
If we were put before a judge and jury, would we be found guilty of being christians? What evidence would we have? If we had to prove it, could we?
If God is not in an area of your life, it is in vain. Everything we involve God in, it will be something that bears fruit for all eternity. Every area we invite God into, he will come in, bless that area and there will be eternal blessings. God has given you, mothers, the ability to nurture and raise up. Pouring out good Godly heritage is such a necessity. Our society, our church, is crying out for women of God to be mothers. Our children are a heritage from the Lord. He has given you, the warrior, arrows for your quiver.
I cannot be remiss to say that we as a church, we as a people may have some tables in our temple that need to be toppled. The last thing we want to do is turn a blind eye to those things we may have gotten used to. All the garbage, we need to get rid of so that we may be one with Jesus as He and the Father are one. Now you may ask yourself, ‘How do we figure out what those tables are? ‘You will know them by their fruit.’ Does a bad tree bring good fruit? Does a good tree bring bad fruit? Many a times we get used to the tables in our temple. They’re little things. They’re not ‘bad’ sin. So many people in the body of christ are walking in the grey. There is no light, there is no dark, but let’s be real...the grey is darkness. Often times, in the grey, you can see less than if you were walking fully in the dark.
It is my wish that we are walking in more of God’s redemption than we were yesterday, two weeks ago, a year ago. The process is not a punishment, it’s a preparation. So don’t begrudge it. God isn’t trying to get us back. We have this perception that if we mess up, we make a mistake, God is going to bring down his iron hard judgment down on us. The purpose of the cross was to wipe away that hard judgment.
Tenacity, it’s not just enough that we have faith and action, we need to understand that there is timing. A time to build up, a time to crash down. Often times we begrudge the process, we begrudge the time of preparation. We resent the process, the preparation. We desire the outcome but we begrudge the process. When we resent it, out hearts get hard and so the process does not have the desired effect and outcome and we have to take another trip around the mountain, through the wilderness.
We identify with what we are intimate with. If we are more intimate with the finite, then that is where we will draw our identity from.
We have forgotten who we are. Where we belong. The place carved out for us by our Savior.
Faith comes by hearing. What we listen to is what we have faith in. What do you put your faith in?
