How welcoming is your church?
We all go to different churches, but we all share the same message of hope, and thus this should show in our lives as we share this with others, and invite people to church?

Striving for excellence is something we hear a lot. But how it fits into our everyday lives means different things.
As much as this we strive for financial freedom/stability, to have nice things and be the very best at any and everything we do, we lose sight of other important lessons and blessings that we can also view as us achieving excellence, such as blessing somebody through the work we do, whether it be mundane or exhilarating.
Share with us your thoughts on this topic, and let us know...

happy Sunday everyone!
Let's wrap up the weekend with some reflection on Psalms 34:14, which reminds us to seek peace and pursue it consistently; how so? By departing evil deeds, sins, attitudes etc. This isn't a simple, quick fix process, especially since bad habits can be built from these 'ways', David is referring to in this passage. So when hearing this, be encouraged to discuss with friends or people you trust, ourselves here from the VP, and above all to God about what how to go about starting afresh, and walking down the path to righteousness. It's never easy, but worth it. God bless you all.

happy new year family!!
we'd like to think we're right on time with some encouragement for the new year, as we're 3 weeks deep...where doubt, fatigue, and inconsistency may creep in, we're here to encourage you with something new we're bringing to the pod. Talking about scripture. The specific focus for now is on the verse of the day (VOTD) that you can find on the Bible App.
And today we dive into Jeremiah 29:13. So please pick up your phone, iPad, or even better your actual Bible, and join us as we discuss how we can truly seek God and what He wants for us, amidst the distractions that we face all the time. God bless you all.

Our second guest for this season, a familiar face too! Mr Michael Robert. We had a very deep chat with him around a year ago, check that out via our Spotify link below.
In today's episode, we brought him on to talk about his year thus far, musically, spiritually, and also his life after graduating from university. A gifted young man, being a messenger with his gift and using it to bless and help others in one way or another. A man that's under the radar, but with the consistent heat he's been dropping will hopefully see more and more big opportunities to come! We hope you enjoy this one.

Today's episode was recorded around early September, so we touch on a few things that were trending or important to mention at that point, but the main course of this episode for you to all reflect on is dealing with comparison. We've all been there and still fight those thoughts and feelings of either inferiority or superiority to others, but we don't and shouldn't have to think that way, because your race is YOUR individual race - whatever race it is you're running.
Stay blessed guys. Catch you in 2 weeks!

In light of a video we saw on TikTok about life in the US being better than the UK, we thought we'd bring that to the pod, and have a brief discussion on what we both think about life here and how different factors, such as COVID, faith, culture, and values have played a role in the quality of life in the respective countries. For any viewers who've spent some time overseas and also in the UK, let us know what your thoughts are. The differences, similarities, and even where you prefer!

DISCLAIMER:
This was filmed around the beginning of August, so some of our takes, predictions or even events within sports themselves may have happened or changed since, as sport is always quickly unfolding new things after the other.
Do you have any "under-the-radar" sports you may like watching besides the obvious in your country/culture? Do you feel as though more has to be done via marketing/media to give that sport (whatever it may be for you) the recognition it deserves, and if so what actions can be taken?
We're here to make a case for track & field, its attendance issues, how they can be fixed, as well as diving into other sports - our predictions for the Barclays PL this season, and also Dez spreads some hope to his fellow Cleveland Cavs fans, as they managed to win the summer league and are hoping for a good season ahead. All this and more to be discussed, so wherever and whenever you're listening to this, we hope you're entertained, informed and blessed by this episode.
Have a great Sunday all!

Today we've got our first, face-to-face guest of the new season! Get to know is back. If you've been keeping tabs on the pod for some time, you'll know that we were bringing on guests almost every week, so it's only necessary we bring back more guests for this new season. Fresh faces, fresh perspectives, great insights and hopefully impacted listeners.
Tyler Panton is a sprinter in both the 100m and 200m and has represented his club and country in the sport at 20 years old. He's come on to not only share his story of transitioning from football to track but also to share insight into how he is able to achieve and demand more of himself and have fun at the same time. His messages amongst many in this episode are to express yourself, not take things TOO seriously, and teach others what you've also been taught. We hope to see him succeed in the future and for his elite trademark pose to be part of the worldwide track culture soon 😅 if you don't know what we're on about, be sure to follow his socials, linked below, to follow his journey more!

Separating is one thing, but being able to move-on peacefully, and also still have grace and love for whoever you've parted ways with, is another. We're all still very much on that journey but today we'll give you some insight, throwback stories and advice on how to deal with making and parting with friends as a young adult.
We hope you're blessed by this episode, so please share with others, as well as sharing your thoughts with us privately or leave it down below

NEW INTRO SONGGGGG! We're back and we're getting better. Massive shout out to Abz Rapero, for helping us out with an intro song. He's a great talent and that song entitled 'Me, Myself and Christ' is out on Spotify, YouTube, and other streaming platforms, so please check him out and support his growth as an artist!
At various points in life, we can be at a crossroads, where there are huge or important decisions to make that affect our future. Sometimes we get caught up in the here and now, that we lose sight of what lies ahead of us. Outside noise, comparison, and our own intrusive thoughts can give way to this.
This episode is an encouragement from us - we're still going through these same changes and tough decisions as you guys are, so through the strength of Christ, we'll all testify of his faithfulness during the trials and testing seasons of our life.

what's goooood!
this week we had our amazing guest Carmen drop some serious dimes and wise words - to summarise this wonderful episode, we discussed the following things when we spoke with her:
...this list isn't exhaustive but is most of what was covered
Where there's vulnerability, there's a willingness to share one's weaknesses, thus helping us to edify each other, and share more encouragement and empathy.
We don't have to perform or pretend, we can really dig deep so our hearts can find more peace. We find this in our faith in Jesus.
We share our struggles in this episode. Things we stumbled into and areas in which we felt diminished.

This conversation was well overdue. For those who remember, Joe had been in our Christmas video in 2020 but hadn't properly featured on the pod due to technical issues. But we know that God is intentional. Joe's had the most phenomenal year in every area. He's here to take us through the stories of his faith, his track journey and more. JT and Dez dive into their personal faith life but allow Joe to take the floor for most of this conversation as our esteemed guest.
We hope you enjoy listening to this as much as we did recording it. Stay blessed. Keep the faith.

how do we measure greatness?
how can we all strive to achieve greatness, regardless of what we do?
how do we measure greatness?
how can we all strive to achieve greatness, regardless of what we do?
Let people have their moments. This applies to both sides of the story.
AJ should've let Usyk have his as the deserved victor. But we, as viewers, should've shown grace before bashing a man that's clearly worked his backside off to get in the ring with an immensely skilled fighter for a second time after being schooled the first. Let him be emotional because we all know, some of us may have reacted and behaved the same way. We're all human, is what I'm saying.

What's good lovely people. Consistency is key. And we're not slacking anytime soon. Another amazing guest today guys, and it's always a blessing to do these interviews.
↓
Greg Poleon. Brooklyn born and raised. Came to light up the UK basketball scene. Mission accomplished thus far, with the NBL Player of the Year 20/21 to his name. Still got loads more to give at 24 years of age.
It was a pleasure talking to him and picking his brain a little bit on life in the US vs UK, his basketball journey from a kid until now, the culture in NYC, societal issues in the US and more.
Share this with your friends and anyone who may want to hear this one. We going global you heard!! Visions is going global! (say amen).
God bless guys, and enjoy your weekend.
What's your take on cancel culture?
Think it's doing what it's supposed to? OR do you reckon it's got a bit out of hand and is preventing people from learning and edifying themselves?

This was such a dope conversation with an amazing guy. Joe Fuggle is a Loughborough University student and the founder of theathleteplace.
We invited him to discuss his experience with athletics and how his dreams of becoming an athlete led him to creating a platform that not only benefits athletes but also everyone around those athletes: parents, coaches etc. He dropped so many gems, so this recording is a bit longer than usual but we touched on:

...Ok let's not get overly excited, but we are back with a 'Short & Sweet' episode, covering:
As we step into a new month, let's learn to embrace any changes we may be going through in life. Yes change is painful and uncomfortable, but being in the same spot is what will be more painful in the long run.
Don't regret anything you decide to start this month. Benefits may not come straight away, but opportunity can arise at any point. So let's stay faithful and enjoy the flippin' good weather we're getting at the moment.
Blessings

There are a few misconceptions about Christianity. We don't list them all in this video, don't worry. But here are a few of them, as well as mistakes that, as Christians ourselves, tend to make (talking from personal experience).
P.S, we're NOT preaching, this is simply what we believe the misconceptions are and how we feel things can change - we're also like EVERY other Christian on our journey, with many bumps and falls. No judgement and no perfection here. We're still God's 'work-in progress'.

Thank you for listening, we appreciate your continuous support for real!! We'll keep trying our best to upload and give you content as often as possible. Till our next upload, stay blessed, take care of yourselves and have a great week.

After ghosting, we're back with something that has sparked a lot of outrage, our A-Level results.
Topics discussed:
Advice to GCSE students
Be grateful for the results you got (if you got into uni)
Praying and trusting God in everything
Gavin and Ofqual and the sudden U-turn
Hope in our generation
――――――――――――――――
General concerns/questions:
Why did Gavin not follow Scotland's example? Why were private schools seen to have a huge boost in A*-A entries? Is the U-turn going to save everyone? What new systems within education should we have? What next for thousands of medical students who are being rejected?

We're back and excited to be joined by aspiring pro footballer, Hasan Ali.
But above all, in today's episode we're paying our respects and remembering the life of the young and talented Luca Skivington, Hasan's close friend. On 6 August 2019, 1 year ago today, Luca was sadly involved in a car crash and passed away.
As well as telling us about his journey within football so far, Hasan shares with us how losing someone very close to him had a impact on his life and how he managed to recover.
Our prayers and love to every single person who was very blessed to know someone like Luca.
May his soul rest in perfect peace.
What's good everyone, hope you're all taking it easy and keeping well.
Really special episode as we're joined by US 110m Hurdler, Daniel Roberts. This episode was really insightful and inspiring for both Dez & JT, and I'm sure you guys will also feel the same way.
