On this new episode of @talkingmissions, Brad Murray interviews Steven Stoffelsen. Steven & his wife Karla Stoffelsen are co-founders of "House of Refuge Street Ministry". They are passionate leaders reaching out to alcoholics, drug addicts as well as women in prostitution, and victims of human trafficking, an outreach program known as "Friends of Jesus".
In this interview, we will learn more about City of Refuge, some updates, and stages in the project development as well as their ministry impact on the streets of Guatemala.

Tracey herself experienced the foster care system and adoption, and in her mind, she never saw herself going into missions or for that matter to Haiti caring for those desperate for love. While part of a mission trip planning to a Haitian orphanage, she witnessed God’s miraculously removing all barriers and giving her a Heart for Haiti.

Vincent, after adopting Haitian children, he met with a group of friends one evening in a coffee shop to save the failing orphanage. This was around the time of the 2010 Haitian earthquake.

Joe Leier, a Canadian electrician, became a BioMed engineer/ tech to serve the people in need. With a ministry partner, he started an organization called Freelance Missions. Working primarily with medical missions teams, from fixing power lines to making sensitive medical equipment work in remote locations, from Guatemala to Haiti.
