UNCOMMON STORIES ABOUT UNCOMMON PEOPLE SHARING THEIR STRENGTHS, HOPES, FAILURES, AND TRIUMPHS.
Uncommon Conversation is a new Podcast from Nan Price — veteran storyteller, content creator, and connector.
With each episode, Nan introduces you to the people, places, and organizations making an impact in their communities.
Leadership Greater Hartford CEO Chris Duffy talks with Nan about how his authenticity and insight have shaped his entrepreneurial journey and answers questions about his transition from corporate to entrepreneur, what it really means to be an entrepreneur, and how you know when to take the leap.
Global entrepreneur and Chef Lillard Royal Lewis Jr. (aka Chef Jay) chats with Nan about all things entrepreneurial, why he traveled to Ghana in 2019, and why we need to change the way we talk about veganism.
On finding success: “You have to project. You vibrate at a certain frequency and you become what you want to see in your life. For me, that vibration was success,” he says.
On what being an entrepreneur means: “An entrepreneur is somebody who is intricately involved in all aspects of their business—at least when you first start,” Chef Jay notes.
On evolution and growth: “It’s foolish not to be nervous about change; however, it’s also foolish to be scared about what you’ve been manifesting,” he points out. “So, if you’re manifesting success, you’re manifesting growth and then you’re scared of growth—now you’re ‘anti-manifesting.’ Think about it.”
Annisa Teich of The Small Business Collective and West Hartford Coworking talks to Nan about why she decided to launch a podcast and “her unique way of getting people to open up.”
It’s all about connection.
“I have the greatest conversations sitting across from somebody,” says Nan. “I’m empowered by those experiences I get to have by having those conversations and doing interviews with people.”
