We sat down with Matt Lubin of FMBA local 237 to talk about his endorsement from the NJFMBA to run for the PFRS Trustee Representative Nomination.
We had the opportunity to sit down with Jeff Mullins and discuss his organization Rebuilding Warriors Foundation. Rebuilding Warriors is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation and they provide highly trained and socialized Service/Companion Dogs to Veterans diagnosed as Amputees as well as those with PTSD, (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) and TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury). Most of their dogs are bred especially for this mission and have a highly sought after demeanor. They provide these dogs to Honorably Discharged Veterans from any branch of the Armed Forces or from any service era meeting eligibility standards.

We sat down with Kyle Hughes, NJ FMBA Northern District Vice President, and Paterson Local 2 President, to discuss his personal experiences with substance abuse and mental health. PTSD and Mental health awareness is a topic that needs no introduction to firefighters around the country. We are hopeful that Kyle's story will help someone that is dealing with a mental health crisis or substance abuse. Communication and the ability to recognize the problem and ask for help is key to getting back on the right track and living a healthy life.
