Know your church stuff: there's no such thing as a "nondenominational" church. The church/congregation will have some kind of teaching. Their theology is most likely from one of three major traditions in the West. In this episode, I introduce the value of using the name "Lutheran" as a description for others to be able to discern what it is that we teach and practice. Our church, The Lutheran Church--Missouri Synod (LCMS.org) is one particular and distinctive branch of the Lutheran Church. You can read more about our beliefs on its Web site.
