Formula 1 was at Suzuka last weekend for the 2024 Japanese Grand Prix, taking place notably earlier in the season than previous years. Matt McGettrick & Izzy Sheldrick chat about the winners and losers of this year’s race, featuring a brilliant qualifying performance and race result for home hero Yuki Tsunoda, becoming the first Japanese driver to score points at home in over a decade, a maximum points haul for Red Bull, securing another 1-2 finish, and a big incident between Ricciardo and Albon on the first lap which resulted in the race being red flagged.
It’s time to ‘chuck another shrimp on the barbie’ and crack out your didgeridoo because last weekend F1 headed to Australia for the third race of the 2024 season! Matt & Izzy break down all the incident-ridden action to come out of Albert Park in the most drama-filled race of the year so far. They reflect on Verstappen’s first DNF in 43 races, a double DNF for Mercedes, and Ferrari’s 1-2 finish, featuring a mega performance from Carlos Sainz, who was recovering from appendicitis at the time.
