In this program they discuss COVID and how it has affected their lives, what they want to see in leadership in lieu of the election, silly jokes, punk rock and fun animal facts. Laugh, cry, have your mind blown by these kiddos and all the bright things they have to say.

This week features a conversation with Scott Poindexter of BoldyExplore, Scott’s brand. Right now, Scott is walking across the continental United States as a way to raise awareness for wildlife crossings. As Scott will explain, wildlife crossing allow for animals to naturally migrate across landscapes that have been fragmented by human development. This could look like a land bridge constructed over a road, allowing deer and other animals to avoid crossing a busy road.

This week Madeline sat down with Erynn Castellanos with the University of Montana’s Latinx Student Union. They talk about Erynn’s experience moving from Los Angles to Missoula for grad school, the resulting culture shock and the community she has come to know here in Montana.

The Zootown Arts Community Center Kid's Radio DJ Camp take over the airwaves to talk murder mystery, prank calls, book reviews and TikTok.
On Friday, BIPOC community organizers spoke with Missoula Mayor John Engen about their concerns regarding armed individuals attending protests downtown. Throughout the week as many as 20 people donning semi-automatic weapons have shown up at the Missoula County Courthouse claiming to be protecting those protesting. While some organizers have embraced the protection, many have felt its put them at risk.
Kia Liszak and Mikyla Veis from the Zootown Arts Community Center talk about the need to local support in the Missoula arts community. Later, we hear from two members of the local arts scene who are the first two recipients of the $250 grant. They talk about the importance of the fund, how they're dealing with the pandemic and more. Jesse Blumenthal, who we hear from first, is a local artist and active community member. Later we hear from Sugar Bush, a local comedian.

This week’s guest is Dr. Udo Fluck, director of cultural and global affairs at Arts Missoula. Before joining Arts Missoula Udo worked for two decades in international program development and intercultural and global education at the University of Montana. He was a senior curriculum developer for the National Science Foundation’s Resilience through Intercultural Skills Enhancement or RISE program house at the Salish Kootenai College.
Arts Missoula has a mission of connecting art, culture and community through education, advocacy and celebration.

Wednesday, April 22nd marked the 50th anniversary of Earth Day. Many local climate change and environmental organizations planned to celebrate with a large march and rally in downtown Missoula.
