Welcome to the Everyday Sensei podcast, I’m your host Derek Koehler and I am passionate about mindfulness and self growth.
I believe there are mentors all around us, and that we so much to learn from the life lessons and insights of others.
I’m on a mission to highlight the stories of the mentors around me and share their best tips and tricks for success.
Everyone deserves to be their best selves, so join us, learn with us, and let's level up together.
As we near the end of 2021, I wanted to take a moment to pause, reflect, and share some of the lessons, insights, and takeaways I learned this year. Every year has its twists and turns, and I believe it's important to learn and grow from each experience. This is me leading by example and sharing what this year has taught me.
Thank you for being patient with the audio quality and temporary solo episodes while I teach myself about podcasting and how best to conduct remote interviews during COVID. I look forward to having many guest interviews in 2022.
I'm wishing you all a wonderful holiday season! I am so grateful for each and every one of you and appreciate you joining the Everyday Sensei community and our mission to share insights, learn from others, and grow into the best versions of ourselves. See you all in 2022!
In this episode, we're joined by Peter Chhum, the most joyful human I know. During our talk he shares his tips and insights on training your mind to recognize joy, develop gratitude, and build an abundance mindset. He shares his strategy for creating a "Home Court Advantage" in unfamiliar or uncomfortable situations and reveals his secret for taking accountability for your own happiness.
Please excuse the poor sound quality on this episode. We recorded this over Zoom, and I'm still learning the best ways to conduct remote interviews.
Join us as I share my tried-and-true strategy for creating positive habits and building the strong foundational systems to maintain them. In this episode, we'll go over tips for developing momentum at your own pace using a "No Zero Days" mindset, and how to stay motivated on your "off days".
