His analog production strikes a fine balance between solid groove and industrial rumble as the characteristically dry precussion crunches around a relentless synth stab. Alongside Regis and Surgeon, Harris was an architect of the dark Birmingham sound that blossomed out of club night House of God. He played a key role in the genesis of grindcore in the late 80s as the former drummer of Napalm Death and went on to translate his taste for raw, analog distortion into rugged 4x4 club tools with productions for Regis' ZET label in the mid 90s as Monrella. Several alias projects followed, the broken techno explorations of Fret, beatless dark ambient with Lull and the dub inflected trip-hop / illbient of Scorn. 'Shank' is remixed on the flip by the Berlin-based Force Reaction, a collaborative project from Kwartz and Kaiser, two purveyors of a particularly muscular strain of techno igniting dances across Europe. They last released together on Kaiser's K S R imprint back in 2021 but this is Kwartz's second outing on Trauma Collective after a link up with Monrella on TRM003. Their version introduces reverb and echo to the mix while firmly retaining dancefloor utlity. Rounding up the B-side is a polyrhythmic and densley textured remix from Héctor Sandoval as Tensal. Sandoval is one half of pioneering Spanish techno duo Exium, and he also contributed to ZET back in 2001. Tensal doubles up on this release, dispatching a second remix in the form of a peak-time thumper available as a digital only bonus track.

"Trauma Collective returns to shock to your system on their fifth release, which comes courtesy of Spain’s Rafael M. Espinosa aka Geistform. The Barcelona-based artist, also known for his exploits under the Univac alias, has crafted a singular style that exists at the interzone of IDM, digital noise and electro and having earned him releases on Pi Electronics, Femur and Hands Productions in recent years.

Espinosa executes five programs in sonic warfare on the Antena EP, all sounding akin to complex bitstream amplification. A multi-level barrage of frequencies play offense on opening cut “Proxima B”, which sets the theme for more widescreen pulsations that gash the senses, as heard on the syntax error of “Note Repeat” and building up to a climax on the monochromatic soundstage of “Norc” - a jagged and angular exploration in bass artefacts and static redux. Exclusive to this digital release is fifth track “Impedancia”, once again rendered in dissonant hi-res sounds and underpinned by glitched and clipped microrhythms.

Since unleashing the austere techno of Birmingham legend Mick Harris (as Monrella) and hometown hero Kwartz on unsuspecting ears, the Madrid-based collective has now ventured into more experimental spheres, as heard on the off-kilter mentalism of ASC’s Loop Research and the brooding atmosphere of Makunaimadama’s limited cassette release last year. Antena is the logical progression for the label’s next chapter, where it continues to push the threshold of electronic music’s outer limits."

The man behind HC records (Hypnotica Colectiva) David Verdeguer delivers the next podcast for our TRM mix series.

Since 1990 David has been DJing and pushing the electronic scene in Valencia (Spain), becoming one of the main DJs and promoters in the city.

He has also worked as resident DJ at clubs considered as temples in the local Valencian scene such as Barraca, Rockola, Terminal and Miniclub among others.

Currently David runs La Discoteca K&H Vinyl Store in Valencia aside his own label HC records.

Constant music researcher and meticulous selector, David drops a 2h journey of atemporal gems.

Next TRM mix series comes from Ximo Noguera. Head of NXT Recordings and Industrial Complexx, delivers a 3h selection of his most recent influences.

Ximo Noguera began his career as a DJ in 1991, attracted by the vibrant electronic scene of the late 80s . His interest in EBM pushes him to explore other styles such as psy trance, break beat nu skool , electro , IDM , trip-hop or minimal, genres that pave the way to find a perfect tune with techno. He has published on labels such as HC Records and NXT recordings. This last is where he is head together with Jesús Sierra and is also the head of Industrial Complexx.

Industrial Complexx is a media linked to dark, transgressive, experimental, eclectic and dissonant electronic music. It first emerges as a digital platform but, its activity expands as a record company, and also, as a printed medium.

“This set clearly shows my musical evolution in this last stage, as the linear techno that I frequented so much has given way to a more organic style and richer in nuances, in which any musical genre can appear at a certain moment. The length of the set is also something that I usually take into account because I need it to have a development similar to that of a hall, with a good warm up and a gradual progression that usually reaches its peak from the middle of the session and up to the end of it. Regarding styles and musical genres, above all, any cut that sounds at least elaborate and with a certain originality prevails.”

When Dario Garcia started to design his own sounds, his first obsession was to being able to use frequencies to induce altered states of consciousness to those who listen. Psychoacoustics, low and high frequencies, experimental equalizations and heavy post-processes are some of the resources he has been always working around in his different projects to cause different somatizations to the listener.

Notzing is the project to develop this idea in form of useful mental tools, created to being used in long mixes, powerful quadraphonic sound systems and a bunch of listeners. When these conditions are met, the project background makes sense.

The Notzing project compositions usually are monotones complex loops, with a repetitive rhythm oscillating. The purpose is to make easier the trance induction and to give more freedom to the creative process and sound design on live performances to overlap layers of sounds, textures and to develop a unique sound. It’s a way to empower the complexity of the rest of the sounds and the space where these are placed in the mix.

Some of his works under this artistic project has been released on record labels like Circular Limited, Awry, Edit Select Records, Subosc, Koryu Budo or the Knotzept institution which is considered as his home.

This live performance act is a studio improvisation created for the Trauma Collective as appreciation for their work. A narcotic and sedative trip to lose the mind during half an hour, full of textures, and organic liquid sounds from another dimension.

It is a pleasure to introduce 'Katavai', the first album of Makunaimadamä.

The album is an expression of solitude, melancholia and darkness, deep feelings that have inspired the producer from a recent loss suffered.

'Katavai' invites the listener to an immersive experience through apocalyptic landscapes composed of oppressive atmospheres and tribal futuristic rhythm patterns.

A beautiful exposition of sorrowful darkness.

Both the artist's name and titles are words taken from the indigenous Amazon-based Makunaima tribe.

'Katavai' will be released on September 11th on cassette (limited to 30 copies) and digital format.

"Kareem aka Patrick Stottrop es el cofundador de Zhark Recordings y su subsello Ramadán. Desde 1996 y hasta 2007 firmó y publico algunos de los mejores y más oscuros discos de corte industrial, llevando la experimentación electrónica hasta limites nunca pisados en aquella época. Su sonido se fundía en negro, con el techno, el hiphop y el drone, creando una estética sombria y metálica, con el objetivo de transmitir y recrearse en un estado clautrofobico.

En 2012, gracias al ojo clínico de Boomkat, casi toda la discográfica de Zhark Recordings, se reedito en formato digital. Todo un acierto, observando los distintos proyectos de corte industrial que nos llegan en el mercado actual.

Quizás por ello, a partir de ese año, un renovado Kareem vuelve a reactivar su propio sello, además de publicar junto a unos alumnos aventajados como Ancient Methods en Fondation Sonore, el sello de Amélie Ravalec (Paris/Berlin: 20 Years Of Underground Techno) o en otro destacado del underground, Death Of Rave.

"Kareem aka Patrick Stottrop is the co-founder of Zhark Recordings and its sub-stamp Ramadan. From 1996 to 2007 he signed and published some of the best and darkest industrial-style records, taking electronic experimentation to limits never trodden at that time. His sound melted into black, with techno, hiphop and drone, creating a somber and metallic aesthetic, with the aim of transmitting and recreating in a claustrophobic state.

In 2012, thanks to Boomkat's clinical eye, almost the entire Zhark Recordings record label was reissued in digital format. Quite a success, observing the different industrial projects that come to us in the current market.

Krohm is a passionate for music since a young age who has always been attracted to all genders from Rap, Jazz, Flamenco with complex rhythm patterns different to 4x4. He has also been influenced by Psychedelic, Punk, Metal and Industrial music. At age 13 he discovered through mix-tapes other kind of sounds more sophisticated cut off from the dance floor/club. When it comes to proper Techno his biggest influences come from almost all around the World: UK, Japan, Detroit, East Europe, Germany, Sweden, Italy... He delivers sets with 2 or 3 turntables, nevertheless he also includes digital format and FX Units. He has played in many clubs from Barcelona and Catalonia such us La Cova, Moog, Zentraus, Slow Club, Sala One, Magia Roja, Kitty Club BDN or Valvula. Since the beginning of 2018 he collaborates with a collective from Barcelona, Structured (ES).

Ryuji Takeuchi (Local Sound Network / LSN, HueHelix) was born in Osaka, and then first contacted with Electronic Music in the early 90s.

In the late 90s, he moved to the United States, where he discovered Techno, House and Electro Music.

As soon as he got back, he started to DJ at several locations and eventually learned to produce at the same time. After that, he released on such labels as: LK Rec, Arms, Mastertraxx, FK Rec, SWR, Innervate, I.CNTRL, Impact Mechanics, Silent Steps, GSR, Brood Audio, to name but a few.

In 2011, Ryuji started his own imprint called 'Local Sound Network / LSN' as a platform for new generation of electronic sound which following words can appropriately describe: driving,hypnotic, atmospheric, emotional, groovy, funky... and any other aspects that rock from brain to the dance floor under the following statement:

From local to global...It exists in order to inspire the world...

Also, Ryuji kicked off another brand new label called 'HueHelix / HHX' as a new platform, which discloses something new,only represented by HueHelix, together with Go Hiyama, Tomohiko Sagae and Kazuya Kawakami, in order to push quality music with global standard from where sun rises.

In 2012, Ryuji launched 'Local Sound Network Digital Solutions / LSNDS' series in need of discovering and introducing wider range of electronic music, aiming at dropping unique audio output while its hot. Al chaval de Vicálvaro le jode hablar de él mismo en tercera persona como a cualquier otra persona que tenga todos los veranos en su sitio, no obstante más aun detesta encargar esa labor a alguien, ya que escribiría la misma sartá de obvios topicazos de cualquier otra bio... “empezó desde muy pequeño a escuchar música” -Todo el mundo menos a los niños sordos les pasó lo mismo, joder.

Lleva pinchando desde el siglo pasado, empezando con los temazos de la cubierta de Leganés, que fue con los que descubrió la electrónica. Estos, fueron los últimos temas que pinchó en vinilo, ya que cuando empezó con el techno y demás estilos de criterio adquirió dos cdjs que le permitirían recorrer todos los palos de la electrónica dejando margen económico para su autentica pasión que es beber cubatas bailando en el centro de la pista.

Al pive este, que ni si quiera es de Vicálvaro, le da mucho coraje cuando los Dj´s de techno dejan pasar los temas de 5 minutos delante de sus ojos como si estuviera sonando una sonata.. a él le gusta que el techno se pinche raudo, veloz, enérgico, preciso, mental por momentos, por otros más animal, melodicamente sugerente, fiestero... Arrancador de bailes y sonrisas traviesas en definitiva, que estamos hablando de techno, coño. En este podcast para los colegas de Trauma sus explica como se hace. Son 28 temas en 65 minutos, temazos todos, y es que es una selección de las piezas que más le han funcionado en pista en las últimas raves donde ha pinchado. Si, en raves, el bakala este no convoca a sus amigos a sitios donde la bebida es de garrafa y te echan a las 6, cuando el pedo te hace burbujitas, es muy amigo de sus amigos.

Además de pinchar en mañaneos compone bandas sonoras para pelis, se las goza llevando un podcast mensual que rinde tributo a su música favorita, el ambient, dirige un programa de radio y sobre todo y ante todo es un disfrutón de época, dando prioridad a su rol como espectador, bailador y escuchador que como Dj, productor o alguna otra mierda que le distraiga por la noche, o por el día ;)

Me dice, está aquí al lado sentado, que ¡gracias! a la peña de Trauma, por darle pábulo a su mixer, pero sobre todo por descubrir tanto artista underground a su ciudad, MADRID.

Our 43th podcast comes from Nigh/T\mare, a rough diamond from Italy. Nigh/T\mare is the suggestive pseudonym used by the very young Italian DJ and producer Giuseppe Sciretti. His sound is like a dreamlike mantle that feeds on the most experimental part of techno and ambient. It is usual for his tracks to use tribal percussions, hypnotic chords, melancholic synthesizers that induce trance and create post industrial landscapes in the mind of the listener. This sensibility has attracted the attention of labels such as DVNTT, Thrènes, Lett Records or Larmes, where they have published authentic pearls to discover the genre that defines Trauma, experimentation, risk and darkness.

Tras una vida entera entregada a la música, desde el género clásico, pasando por las músicas del mundo hasta la electrónica, Raquel Mendiguren AKA Mendi siempre ha perseguido nuevas tendencias y sonidos underground que le llevan a dar el salto como dj, por la necesidad de revelar su eco.

Dedicada al techno, ha tocado en muchas de las salas de la capital, teniendo residencia en el club Cabra Negra y actualmente en Elecktra Club, pasando por las sesiones de Synth Techno Club, XYZ entre otras, enfocadas al techno oscuro y contundente. Su afán, análisis y afición por la música le hacen tener como referentes diferentes sellos y artistas muy diversos en estilo. Inmersa en su recorrido, sus sets se caracterizan por un sonido de atmosferas oscuras, bases contundentes, disonancias y melodías hipnóticas. Siempre fiel a su selección y gusto musical, toca un abanico amplio entre los subgéneros del techno, consagrando, junto con la generación actual de la escena madrileña, un techno de oídos avanzados.

Mendi sigue creciendo y evolucionando en la escena sin dejar indiferente además de apoyar a colectivos y asociaciones que promueven la música electrónica como E.A.C (Electrónica es Arte y Cultura) y NIX (Foro cultural y social sobre la noche de Madrid).

Manson X is an electronic musician and DJ based in South London. He co-runs Decoding the Void alongside with Alba Heidari, a techno platform which runs events and podcast. As a DJ you can often find him playing at clubs such as Corsica Studios, Five Miles, The Cause, Cafe 1001, The Egg or The Shelter, collaborating with other London outfits like Jaded, DON’T, Aria, HTBX, Saga 808 or Vox. His music is characterised by dark industrial atmospheres, rich and predominant low-end frequencies, rough textures and relentless powerful beats.

004, Beñat Garate (djzabor), comienza a colecciona vinilos de diferentes estilos musicales, los escucha en un viejo tocadiscos de casa de sus aita-ama (padres). Cuando tiene ocasión aprovecha para mezclar su selección musical en locales de amigos que ya tenían equipo de dj. En 2008 por fin consigue juntar una pareja de technics y un mixer y es entonces cuando de verdad comienza su camino como disc jockey.

A multi-platform artist. A digital creator across Film & Music, he has spent over 20 years honing his passions across the globe. From London to Beijing, Vancouver and Auckland. Specializing in both visual effect for Films and Techno/IDM production, whilst DJing under his MOD3LLR Alias. His career as a professional DJ began prior to the early 90's, however, it was only at this time that his passion and involvement in electronic music truly began to manifest. EBM, IDM or Techno were growing rapidly on the scene and Alonso felt a natural connection. Drawing meaning and interpretation from the layers and textures this evolving sound exposed. Now immersed in this new electro scene he began to collaborate with a defining group of talented DJ's and producers. As a resident DJ at both Tik and La Fabrica (both Gijon, Spain) he was integral in introducing the North of Spain to this new sound. Both clubs went on to become a huge success with La Fabrica becoming one of the most important after hours venues in Spain in the late 90`s. As the decade drew to a close, his's attention turned towards a new form of expression as he began to explore audiovisual arts, 3D animation and Visual effects. Although it has now been 20 years since his primary focus shifted from Music to 3D Art, his involvement and driving passion for music has firmly remained. Having spent countless hours over the years producing in the studio as well as DJ'ing whenever the time has allowed. Nowadays, he is based in the UK, where he is continuing to expand and explore his creative musical platform while playing sets all over the globe.

Entender y divulgar toda esa fascinación que surge alrededor de la música electrónica de baile, y de su enorme valor social, emocional, cultural y espiritual: "aprendes y buscas formas de expresarte a través de la música porque sabes que hay algo realmente genuíno y que te eleva en todo ello."

Cuando tienes que explicar quien eres tú en la música con el paso de los años, te das cuenta que lo que te define como artista no es un conjunto de momentos, lugares o méritos. La música electrónica y la ceremonia alrededor de la misma es algo único y tu relación con ella trabaja en muchos sentidos.

Raúl Remujo, valenciano de 40 años, lleva desde muy joven buscando ese conocimiento de la electrónica en cada oportunidad que ha tenido. Bajo el seudónimo de Active Sense desde la 2º mitad de los años 90, ha producido, pinchado, formado parte de colectivos, y en la actualidad apoya en la realización de eventos culturales con Hypnotica Colectiva.

El podcast que precede a este texto no pretende otra cosa que una ser una extensión de dicha voluntad de compartir ese interés y conocimiento con todo aquel que busca con pasión un viaje a través de sus oídos, del mismo modo que yo he buscado y encontrado tantas veces.

Dj, productor y label manager en De Profundiis Records, artista con influencias en Detroit, Basic Channel, Ambient de los 90, música minimalista, etc… . Su música, sus sets y directos están especializados en la vertiente Deep Techno, Dub, Drone, Ambient, con toques de World Music... Su recorrido como Dj a nivel nacional es bien extenso, habiendo actuado en diversas salas, espacios de arte, museos y festivales, y como productor firmando en varios sellos del país y alguno internacional.

En la actualidad cuenta con varios proyectos como Conflation Port dedicado a la música ambient y downtempo; es miembro de los grupos Uanamani y Orionids, y junto a un amigo gestiona “De Profundiis” , sello que publica en vinilo y digital, y que pronto publicará la tercera referencia llamada Ciudad Pirata y firmada por Uanamani.

HD SUBSTANCE Corre el año 1981, un chaval de once años recibe un regalo, el nuevo single de Depeche Mode, New Life, desde ese preciso momento, los fríos sonidos de las cajas de ritmos y los sonidos alienígenas de los sintetizadores forman parte de la banda sonora de su vida, hasta hoy. Viviendo los ochenta en plena adolescencia, absorbe cualquier sonido futurista y oscuro como devoto fan, sonidos new wave, grupos góticos, EBM primigenia o clásicos como Kraftwerk y Tangerine Dream. 1987 marca el cambio de actitud, de consumidor a productor, consigue su primer sintetizador de segunda mano, un Kawai Sx 240 que aún conserva y una pequeña caja de ritmos Korg Kpr 77 y comienza a crear sus propios sonidos y ritmos desde cero. Muy pronto forma su primer proyecto musical, Ballet Mecánico junto a Groof y Daniel Erbe. Fuertemente influenciado por el pop sintético en sus comienzos, su sonido se mueve pronto hacia nuevos y oscuros territorios tras el descubrimiento de Front 242 y Nitzer Ebb, desplazándose poco después hacia los primeros sonidos Rave de la mano del álbum Frequencies de LFO o el Yellow Album de Orbital, interesándose también por el sonido proveniente de las primeras recopilaciones del sonido Detroit editadas en Gran Bretaña por el sello Network, Bio Rhythm o Retro Techno entre otras. El proyecto Ballet Mecánico durará hasta 1994, dejando como legado dos vinilos editados, muchas actuaciones en directo y varias maquetas de culto. 1995 será el año del inicio de su carrera en solitario como Hd Substance, editando el tema Past Line en el recopilatorio Electronic Generators en el sello Geometrik, etiqueta de culto propiedad de Esplendor Geométrico, una colección imprescindible para entender los comienzos de la electrónica en nuestro país, con artistas como, The Frogmen, Madelman, Alex Martín, Resonic o Jumo ( actuales organizadores del festival Sonar ). Un año después ve la luz su primer álbum completo, Eleven, el sello también de culto Elefant Records y se realiza su primera actuación en Sonar 1996. 2014 tras más de veinte años formando parte activa de la escena electrónica mundial más de 30 Ep’s editados en sellos de todo el mundo, seis álbumes y actuaciones en los cinco continentes, Hd Substance permanece como figura de referencia de la escena techno española, desde todos los frentes, creando, pinchando y escribiendo sobre música electrónica en todo su abanico estilístico, una vida entera dedicada por y para la música.

Desde Lugo nos llega nuestro podcast numero 30 a cargo de Función Binaria. Este ente es todo un veterano que empezó su andadura electrónica a principios de los 90, pudiendo disfrutar de la ruta del bakalao. Desde su Galicia natal viajó en muchas ocasiones a Valencia, via Madrid, para iniciarse en la fiesta. Quizás la gran variedad musical de los inicios de la ruta lo marcó, ya que Función Binaria sigue siendo un enfermo musical que le da a muchísimos palos: techno, electro, EBM, new wave, industrial, dark ambient, drone, noise, con un bagaje que empieza en esos mágicos 90 y se extiende hasta el presente más actual. Sus mixes tributo cuentan con cientos y hasta miles de escuchas, siendo autenticas odas a artistas como Convention, Plant 43, Arcanoid, Boris Divider o sellos como Central Processing Unit. Últimamente, está inmerso en el dark ambient, el drone y el industrial siendo un autentico rastreador de nuevos sellos y artistas. Razeed es el responsable de Geométrika FM, proyecto que nació en 2007 con el objetivo de mostrar que la electrónica puede ser una manera de relacionarse con la realidad que nos rodea, además de un canal estupendo para apoyar a las personas y los proyectos verdaderamente comprometidos con la música y/o la sociedad.

Radio, podcast y web ha sido el camino que Geométrika FM ha seguido hasta fundar un Label que, durante la temporada 2017/2018, donará el 50% de la recaudación conseguida a través de las descargas de música, así como el 10% de los beneficios conseguidos en Showcase o fiestas propias, a partes iguales entre Chiquillos y en el Campo y Médicos sin Fronteras.

El Techno define los sets y producciones de Razeed. Pincha habitualmente en las fiestas de Geométrika FM y ha actuado en salas y festivales como FIV (Valdepiélago, León), Specka (Madrid), Tesoro Club (Madrid), Subma (Salamanca), Darksite (Sevilla), Klubbers Day (Madrid), Happy Mondays at Miniclub (Valencia), TRAX (Vigo), La Boite de Florida 135 (Fraga), 113 (Granada), Cosmos (Sevilla) y Sala El Tren (Granada) entre otras.

Como productor ha editado en solitario en LCR, Cicuta, Dark Garden, Redpoint Alert Records, Magnetic Netlabel y Geométrika FM, RARA o Megavirus.

Colabora con Antonio Rodellar en la dirección del Sello/Booking RedPoint Alert y en el duo R&R.

A partir de la temporada 2017/2018, Razeed donará el 10% de su caché a la causa social que Geométrika FM tenga abierta en cada momento.

[ES] Spear es el alias musical bajo el que actúa Adrià Ponsa y con el que anda implicado en diferentes proyectos. El más personal de todos es la plataforma Hara del cual es fundador y donde se dedica a explorar distintos registros musicales, tales como el ambient, la música experimental o el techno.

Hara pretende ser un espacio polivalente donde poder generar espacios culturales en sintonía con el criterio de los distintos componentes. De carácter transgresor, además de las referencias musicales, ofrece sesiones dedicadas a distintos estilos, como el noise o el techno contemporáneo, adaptando el registro al ámbito donde se desarrolle la propuesta.

De forma paralela y junto a Sergi Botella y Jaume Barberà, dirigen el sello Mandró, editando material en cintas de cassette, ya sea como Spear, o junto a Sergi y Jaume conformando el trío de música experimental improvisada News From Salieri.

[EN] Spear is the musical alias under which Adrià Ponsa acts and with whom he is involved in different projects. The most personal of all is the Hara platform of which he is founder and where he is dedicated to explore different musical registers, such as ambient, experimental music or techno.

Hara aims to be a multipurpose space where it can generate cultural spaces in harmony with the criteria of the different components. Of transgressor character, besides the musical references, it offers sessions dedicated to different styles, like the noise or the contemporary techno, adapting the register to the scope where the proposal is developed.

[EN] Blush Response is Joey Blush, Berlin Based Cuban-American artist and sound designer. His music is characterized by a modular synth heavy approach to sound design, combining rough, glitch-heavy beats with thick, distorted synths to create a sound that blurs the lines between electronic genres. Blush cut his teeth doing programming work for artists such as Fear Factory, Rhys Fulber, Cristian Castro, and as a touring member of Joey Jordison (Slipknot)'s alternative rock project Scar the Martyr. He has released six albums to date, We Are Replicants (2010, self released), Tension Strategies (2013, Basic Unit Productions / Tundra) and Desire Machines (2014, Desire), Night Of The Machines Live (self released, 2015), Reshaper (Ant-Zen, 2016) y Rebirthed In The Sprawl (Total Black, 2016). Sus apariciones son siempre en formato directo, no como DJ, y ha actuado en lugares como Fondation Sonore en Bruselas, MaschineRaum en Viena, varias ciudades de Suiza como invitado especial de The Soft Moon y muchas otras en Berlin como en Arena Club, Suicide Circus, Berghain o Boiler Room.

Hasta la fecha ha publicado dos EPs muy bien recibidos por la critica en el sello aufnahme+wiedergabe y ha remezclado The Soft Moon para su álbum Deeper Remixed. [EN] Although a relative newcomer to the contemporary techno scene, Mahk Rumbae - the British born and Vienna based producer behind Codex Empire - has been creating challenging experimental electronic music for 25 years working as one half of industrial/ experimental band Konstruktivists as well as a raft of varied solo and side-projects.

Combining this background in dark electronic music with heavy rhythmic elements makes Codex Empire an intense and simultaneously danceable experience both live and on record. Appearing only as a live act, not as a DJ, Codex Empire has performed at Fondation Sonore in Brussels, MaschinenRaum in Vienna, several cities in Switzerland as special guest of The Soft Moon, and numerous appearances in Berlin at Arena Club, Suicide Circus, Berghain and Boiler Room.

Codex Empire has released two well received EPs on aufnahme+wiedergabe, and have remixed The Soft Moon for their Deeper Remixed LP. Forthcoming releases include an EP on Leyla Records, a Konsumer remix on Nachtstrom Schallplatten, and a Veil of Light remix on aufnahme+wiedergabe.

Él ha publicado recientemente en cassette en el sello de Copenhagen, Moral Defeat, que publica principalmente noise e industrial en tiradas muy limitadas. También ha publicado otra cinta en Collapsing Market, sello francés también orientado a la experimentación pero siempre desde una vertiente más techno. Próximamente publicará en DVNTT, sello búlgaro que se mueve en el mismo rango de sonoridades. Por último pero no por ello menos importante, Doukas ha lanzado su propio sello, Several Minor Promises, donde se publicaran varias cintas en breve y aparecerá un track suyo en un split en 12” en Veleno Viola a lo largo de 2017. Zosima es el responsable del sello austriaco Noiztank, fundado en Viena en 2014. Un sello que encaja a la perfección con la filosofía de Trauma. Techno, riesgo y experimentación, con dejes industriales y mucha oscuridad. Un sello donde han desfilado conocidos de Trauma como Kareem y otros afines como Damaskin, Ontal, Oake o Huren. Una estética muy cuidada y vanguardista hace de sus 12" verdaderas obras de arte. Parte de esa estética es también permanecer en las sombras siendo imposible poder encontrar más información de Zosima o de su sello a parte de lo que se puede encontrar en Discogs. Todo forma parte de un ritual sonoro para focalizar la atención en su producción y edición. Una invitación a sumergirse en su música. Arch, el responsable de Femur, firma nuestro undécimo podcast. Todo un referente de la noche madrileña más arriesgada, regenta una de las sesiones de más éxito en la capital. Esta vez nos entrega un podcast poco convencional que vuelve a demostrar su extensa y cuidada paleta sonora.

Arch comenzó a coleccionar música cuando era un adolescente a primeros de los 90. Sus primeros pinitos como DJ los dio a finales de los 90; En un primer momento enfocado a sonidos mas cercanos a la música clubbing; pero posteriormente fue trabajando otros lenguajes musicales y artísticos. En 2006 se muda a Madrid tras pasar una temporada en el extranjero, y comienza a hacerse un hueco en la escena electrónica underground de la capital pinchando en algunos de los mejores clubs como Oui, Flesh o o Specka. En 2010 inicia junto a dos amigos su primer proyecto serio llamado DIE BUNKER enfocado a sonoridades Wave y minimal synth y un año despues en 2011 decide comenzar un proyecto, todavia en activo, en solitario llamado FEMUR mas enfocado a sonoridades electronicas de corte vintage.

Vrika es el alias bajo el que trabaja Fernando Blanco en su forma más rítmica. Su sonido es una mezcla de estilos que cabalgan entre el ambient/drone y el techno/dub. Su elaboración de forma analógica y en directo, le confiere una estética característica, cruda, sucia y orgánica. Una estética que extiende a su imagen y presentación.

Actualmente su trabajo se publica bajo el sello español Doppt Zykkler Series donde sacará próximente un nuevo ep. Anteriormente ha realizado trabajos junto a otros artistas como Victor Aguado ( Rerrr ) y diversas incursiones en performances en directo.

EN: Kwartz is the stage name of Mario Campos, born in Madrid in 1989.

In late 2011 and after publishing several EP’s in different international labels, Kwartz’s productions begin to draw attention of the leading names on the international scene. Is in 2013 when the duo Exium get in touch with him to publish an split EP called ‘Fenomen’ which will be his first release on vinyl.

In late 2013 Kwartz joined PoleGroup, becoming part of the booking roster of the label commanded by Oscar Mulero, in which he began to release his works regularly. In addition to PoleGroup, his tracks appear in several of the most important international labels as 47, Mord Records or Warm Up Recordings.

Kwartz is in a continuous search of his own sound, so in 2016 he launched his own label: Order&Devotion, where he releases his own works which move between dark atmospheres, drones, deep and visceral sounds, all surrounded by rhythms focused to the dance floor.
