Vaping: The Knowns, the Known Unknowns, and the Unknown Unknowns
Dr. Robert McMillen takes us on a journey to explore what we know, about the products, the use of counterfeit e-cigarettes, as well as the lack of meaningful regulatory provisions along with what we still don’t know regarding short and long-term health impacts. www.mstobaccodata.org
The scary thing about Nicotine is that it’s highly addictive and it is often harder to quit than methamphetamine or heroin. In fact, it is often the hardest one to stop using. Nicotine is a gateway drug and leads to a much greater risk of abusing other substances. Talk with your primary care physician and/or pediatrician and let them guide you on how your child can stop using nicotine.
Children as young as 5th grade have reported using these devices. The usage is growing in alarming numbers. These devices have been found not only with high doses of nicotine, but also THC, fentanyl, and other drugs.
Enrich MS and expert Amy Winter discuss what vapes are, what they look like, and what risks they pose to our children. Together, we provide valuable resources for parents, schools, and the community. For more info, please visit EnrichMS.org.
