All fear is fear of death.

The answer lies within... It's time to evolve! Listen this Audio of Sri Preethaji NOW!
Earlier times, we used to experience stress when we probably faced a tiger, we faced a lion.
There was physical danger and we need to run very fast. And we probably had a very small window of, say 90 seconds where you escape the tiger, or you get eaten by the tiger.
Anything beyond those 90 seconds, If you're continuing to live in a state of stress, you're hurting your physical body, that is a state of stress increases the insulin level.
Stress does not help us. Stress does not push us. It makes us less intelligent, it makes us have less energy for life, it gives us very little creativity for the problems that we have in life if we have to become creative and responding to it.
Mention below in comments - the state of being from which you are pursuing wealth.
Watch the fullvideo on out YouTube & learn how to create wealth and sustain it.
Most entrepreneurs and most leaders in the world are driving themselves from a ‘nobody state’. Not long ago, when I met a group of leaders, I asked them a question - Why do you want to create wealth? Because everybody wants to create wealth and the whole world wants to keep creating wealth. So, good thing, but why do you want to create wealth?
Watch and experience the sacred feeling of love in this audio.
In a fundamental sense, Love is a feeling of preciousness.
Love is where You feel the other to be a sacred gift from the universe. You live in the knowing that what they bring to your life is irreplaceable.
You feel this sense of preciousness towards a new born. When you look into the eyes of an infant, you know you are looking at a miracle from the universe.
You feel a deep sense of sacredness being around the child, and spontaneously, you bring total presence to them.
You feel this preciousness when you know a loved one is passing. It strikes you that this person once gone is irreplaceable in your life.
But this awareness of the sacred preciousness of love that happens in the beginning of life and at the end of life, is completely lost in between.
Life itself is lived like a blurr.
Remember, Any day when you come upon love, you feel you are in the presence of the sacred.
When your heart realises that the other with all their imperfections is irreplaceable in life, you experience love.
You bring your attention and presence to the beauty of the other.
You recognise someone's kindness, or patience, or strength, courage, forgiveness, or joyfulness, which ever beautiful aspects embodied by your loved ones.
You recognize how deeply that has impacted you and your life.
You can experience the divine in 2 ways - as the unmanifest and the manifest.
When you experience the divine as the unmanifest - then you see it as a field of universal intelligence. This intelligence is everywhere, in everything.
When you connect with this aspect of the divine also, you can experience miracles and synchronicities in your life.
When you experience the divine as the manifest - then this limitless, all encompassing field of intelligence embodies a form, an attribute that is close to your heart.
You can see the Universal intelligence as the various gods and the sages of your mystic tradition, or as a being of light or as a voice that speaks to you and guides you.
The universal intelligence becomes that which you want it to become. That is what we mean by personal divine.
So you can choose any way that comes naturally to you.
**Enlightened Achievement
What is enlightened achievement?**
You would perform those powerful actions, that can impact the entire web of life, that would cause both individual wellbeing and universal wellbeing.
It is a state where you become a witness to the flow of life. Being a witness, you are not caught in the vortex of opposites.
When I am saying being a witness, it means that you are not compulsively running towards something or running away from something.
Like the eagle that soars above the wind currents and that glides effortlessly in the skies, your consciousness transcends the under currents of those emotional obsessions and your consciousness would be established in pure bliss of the being.
And from that blissful being you would create achievements that last, from that blissful being you would create achievements that can nurture, not only you individually, that can nurture all, you would create achievements that can support this planet.
It is a state of awareness, you live in an awareness of oneness of all life. You begin to see actually that you do not begin and you do not end with your body, you do not begin and end with your memories, with your identities or with this limited sense of self.
You move away from being that limited self to being the cosmic self - Aham Bramhasmin - You are not this limited self but you are the All, I am the Universe.
And from this state of consciousness, your actions, your achievements would no longer be directed towards self-fulfillment but they would flow into the universe to fulfill a greater purpose.
Sri Krishnaji speaks on how to connect to the heart field of the other and initiate a healing.
How do we stay connected to our loved ones and understand their challenges so that we can help them find solutions?
To understand what a member of your soul circle is going through, to connect and to feel your heart needs to be awake.
When your heart is awake, you are not desperate to get them to a space of pleasantness so that it is comfortable for you.
When your heart is awake, you feel them. There is no fear in you of their suffering. There's a loving patience and an intense attention; attention to their expressions, attention to their voice, attention to what they are saying.
There is an undistracted attention from your side.
For those few minutes, you have set aside everything else in the wide world, and only that person becomes important for you.
When you are present this way, your heart’s consciousness field expands and impacts your loved one. It connects to their heart field and a process of healing begins.
Often times, what a loved one needs may not be a solution. All they need may only be your loving attention

Our universe is cyclical. It contracts and expands endlessly.
Our bodies go through cyclical breaths, and cyclical metabolic functions as a part of our evolutionary process.
Our minds go through cycles of thoughts, emotions and actions.
And our consciousness also goes through cycles of ignorance, purification, awakening and new beginnings.
Ancient Indians called these new beginnings as yugaadi or Ugadi or gudi padwa. Ugadhi is celebrated on the first day of the lunar calendar of Chaitra masa, which is the 13th of April this year.
Ugadi is the day you create your new inner universe. You create it with a sacred sankalpa to flow gracefully and gratefully through every season of the year, be it the spring, spring of abundance or the summer of hardships or the rainfall of relief, with the fullest knowing that life will indeed go through many of these cycles and nothing lasts for ever, neither is good time permanent nor is the bad time permanent.
Winning and losing, progress and passivity, strength and weakness all will move in cycles.
When you are spiritually awakened, you celebrate the wholeness of life without denying anything. You become a "Sthitaprajna" who is unperturbed in triumphs, defeats, attachments, fears, or frustrations. You live in a beautiful inner state. In this state, the bitter, the sweet, the sour, the spice, the bland and the astringent, all tastes of life are experienced. That is why in the south of India, you eat ugadhi pacchadi or what we call bevu-bella, a reminder of all the tastes of life.
Avrtano Nivrutatma Samvrutah Sampramardanah
Ahah Samvartako Vahnir Anilo Dharani-Dharah
This shloka reminds that if ever you are stuck in one unpleasant taste of life, do not fear.
The divine is the power behind all that is cyclical, the divine is also the power that liberates you from any bondage. And your divine can free you from the jaws of any misery.
May this Ugadi be a new beginning of great abundance in the external world and sthitha pragnatva in the inner world.
Remember to do this sankalpa on the morning of Ugadi. It will bring great auspiciousness into your life.
- Sit in your Pooja room or a quiet corner.
- Light a lamp
- Breathe consciously into your heart.
- Feel the divine, who dwells as the Antaryamin in your heart.
- Assume the sankalpa mudra now.
- Place your right palm over your left palm and then on your right thigh.
- You may now listen to the powerful, divine Ekam mantra and chant along with it. The mantra is Hamsa Soham Ekam. This mantra connects you to the power of your antaryaamin and draws great blessings.
- Now see the year in front of you. And feel the divine blessing you with abundance of joy, love, wealth and health.
- You may also see yourself being a sthitha prajna and a dheera.
- Thank the divine for the blessings you have received.
- Thank the divine for this new beginning.
Whenever you are ready you may open your eyes.
You may take the Ugadi sankalpa either from your home or you may join us “live” at Ekam on the morning of ugadhi for taking Ugadi sankalpa at 6:00am on the 13th of April.
Ekam is built as a surya yantra mandala and is immensely powerful during the 4 cardinal times of sunrise, sunset, midday and mid night.
This ugadhi it will be a suryodaya sankalpa.

Vision to live life free of suffering from an enlightened state.
Every species has a challenge. Every species goes through challenges in life, animals, plants every species.
But the question is, are you going to internalize those problems and live in those suffering states and respond to life from those suffering states or are you going to hold this vision of living a life free of suffering, living and experiencing life from an enlightened state?
That will determine the quality of your life. How many ever years you are going to live on this planet whether 50, 60, 70, 80, or 90 or even hundred.
That vision to live free of suffering has to be deep rooted in you. There is a mythical bird, the name of the bird is chataka. Have you heard of this bird? So this chataka bird refuses to drink water from ponds or lakes. How ever thirsty it is. It refuses to drink that water. It waits for the rain forming clouds and it waits for the water to fall off from the clouds and before it reaches the earth, it drinks that water and quenches its thirst.
I want you to be to be that chataka bird who refuses to live a life from a suffering state. Please understand the more you are immersed in a suffering state, you are not helping yourself, you are not helping the problem or the challenges that's currently on your table. You're not helping people around.
You can think that you are suffering for somebody else’s sake. I don't know if you're there, but even if you think you're suffering for somebody else’s sake please know that you are not. Suffering is a state which alienates you from everything around you, suffering is a state in which you feel disconnected from everybody around.
And I say, suffering, anger, hurt, depression, everything.
So you need to be rooted in living a life free of suffering and as suffering arises. I am not saying problems are going to disappear in your life, problems would come. But when you are experiencing a state free of suffering, you would have that immense energy and strength and the intelligence and then grace would flow into you, your life by which you'd be able to easily solve the problem or dissolve the problem.
In an awakened state, you will largely draw harmonious occurrences into your life and blessings flow to those around you. Listen to Sri Krishnaji on what is a state of Oneness?
You could compare a state to an atmosphere within you. Your state arises because of your thoughts, emotions, perceptions, your brain's neuro chemistry, your brain's neuro physiology and the level of your Kundalini or spiritual energy at that moment. These combined factors result in you feeling either a suffering state or a no- suffering state or even an awakened state.
If you want o stop the chaos of your life and take your life towards harmony and peace, you must bring attention to your state.
If you are in a suffering state of anger, anxiety or sadness, you draw chaotic events into your life.
While if you are in beautiful states of joy, connection or peace, you will largely draw harmonious events to yourself.
If you are in an awakened state, a state of oneness, you rise beyond pain and pleasure, fear or gratification. And blessings flow to those around you.
Now what is oneness?
At its first level, oneness is a state where there is no conflict.
At its second level, oneness is a state of no disconnection.
At the third and the ultimate level, there is no separation or division.
At the first level, when your conflicting emotions and desires subside and the painful war in your mind stops- you experience the first level of oneness as calm, as a deep inner tranquility and serenity.
At the second level of oneness, your heart opens to feeling what others around you are feeling.
You feel one with their joys and sorrows as if they were your own joys and sorrows.
You experience people’s inner rage or rapture. You don't judge them by their outward behaviors, appearances and attitudes.
The walls around your heart come crashing. Great love and compassion arise in you. Class, gender, caste, race, or ideology - nothing can disconnect you. You feel a kinship with the whole world.
At the third level when separation disappears, division disappears- you manifest the highest form of oneness. You actually see "you are" your brother, your sister, your mother, your rival. You are the tree, the butterfly and the earth. You see you are the weak. You are the strong. You are the ignorant. You are the sage. You are all life. You are God. You are the universe.
You see that there is nothing that is not you.
When you experience this level of oneness, we say you have tasted enlightenment.
As one humanity let us begin to move towards peace, towards harmony, towards sharing, towards oneness. Join the world oneness wave.
This is going to be a very special, unique and powerful event. Where every common man, human being will be part of this event blessing humanity’s consciousness to move towards oneness. We have to understand that earth, our mother is living and because earth is living, we're all living. It's not because we are living the earth is living.
And the earth has a heart and you can actually feel the vibration, its called the electro magnetic field and it vibrates at 7.83 Hz.
It's actually measured, its a resonance, the earth’s resonance. Now science has proven that human beings we too resonate. We too emit electromagnetic field. Our brain and our heart, they emit electromagnetic field. But unfortunately, because of the suffering states that humanity lives in; states of depression, loneliness, sadness, anger, fear insecurity, selfishness, jealousy, hatred.
Because of all these states that your consciousness has cultivated, you are not in resonance with the earth’s magnetic field.
Only a state of oneness can lead us to that space where other heart, our brain resonates and goes in complete sync with the earth’s heart. And if that can happen, which will happen a more harmonious world where there is less division and less separation where there is less discrimination, where there is more love, connection, peace and joy.
You will also see the earth’s rhythmic cycles coming back to its natural way. the seasons, which is all right now haywire. And the World Oneness Day on March 7th is for that purpose.
How this will happen? this will happen through deeksha.
What is Deeksha? Deeksha is a process where you are allowing the divine to flow into you and from you and the divine flow into the world to bless the world.
This is a very ancient method. And a very sacred and a powerful method. There has not been any global massive deeksha event that has ever happened. This is going to be the first time. Each and every one of you are going to be a part of this event.
Heartmath Institute will be partnering with us. To measure the electromagnetic fields that we will be generating on the 7th of March as all of us are giving deeksha. As all of us are giving deeksha to the world.
They will be measuring and letting us know how this deeksha is impacting humanity’s consciousness.
So join this tapas to offer your sacred fruit on the 7th of March, to impact humanity’s consciousness, and to collectively move humanity's consciousness from separation, division to oneness.
Ekam mantra opens you to the field of divine; to magical mystical happenings and to a state of oneness
Many young people say this, they say that, I thought this is the right field for me, but I joined then the stress is too much, so I want to give up.
Same goes to relationships too. You get into a relationship - think this person is your soul mate, you dreamt about this person, this is the person who came from the heaven, and then 3-4 months later that heaven turned into hell. And then you fight, you argue and then you are thinking of quitting the relationship.
So why do you think this urge to quit is so high?
You would have heard your teachers, your mentors and several inspirational speakers say - You need to have drive and will power to hold on to something and lead it to success.
While it is true that you need a deep driving desire and a strong will power, but is that enough to hold on to your decision in the face of challenges and uncertainties?
Let’s assume that you have that will power and everything.
So, this is like saying - a tree needs a strong trunk and healthy branches to hold out a storm.
How can a tree weather a storm if its roots are not strongly adhered to the earth. Its not about the trunk and the branches, it’s about the root. The tree draws its strength and stability from the earth.
Just like the tree, in the face of challenges and uncertainties in life, it is not enough if you just have drive and will power. What you need is a powerful and a beautiful state of consciousness. Those are your roots. Your consciousness is the earth and your beautiful state are the root. Your state is the ground upon which your drive and will-power can thrive.
Without a state your will power and your drive will only take you up to a point. Without a powerful state and a beautiful state, a state of passion and love for your work, connection towards any person may be your life partner, all this cannot be sustained.
Your drive and will-power will collapse if you do not have that state and that consciousness, your drive and will power will collapse the second when problems and challenges show up in your work, show up in your relationship, that’s it. You will give up.
When your decisions arise from a beautiful state, state of connection, love, passion, peace you will have a powerful will to stand and accomplish what you have chosen to accomplish.
When your will is weak, when your state is absent, you will become a quitter. You may have that drive to begin with but without that beautiful state you cannot sustain and hold that drive and will power
So I want you all to understand the key is to learn to live in a beautiful state, then you will have the strength to hold on and not quit during challenges and lead your life towards success and fulfillment.
Not only for you but also everyone around you.
Spirituality is about becoming at the first stage, at the basic stage it is about becoming a happier person.
The final stage is of course becoming an enlightened person. That is deep spirituality. just like, you know, in education you have the first grade, the 12th grade, the under graduation, masters and Phd. So Phd is like your enlightenment and beautiful state is like your 10th grade and 12th grade.
So spirituality is about learning to live in this beautiful states.
So you must understand that spirituality is not a way of life. It’s not something like ok, morning I will be, I’ll do whatever I want to do and evening I'd become spiritual and just before going to bed I will become religious and pray and go to bed.
So it’s not like that. spirituality is not about how you are doing things or what you are doing, its about your inner state. If your inner state is beautiful you will automatically do wonderful things. If your inner state is bad, then you will struggle to do wonderful things and you might do it for 10 minutes, 15 minutes, and the 16th minute you will hear your husband or your child or your wife yell at you saying, enough is enough, now stop it.
Because there is no state. so you become frustrated.
You try to be nice, calm and then you suddenly burst out, you will say come on enough.
Spirituality is about making your inner state natural and that inner state reflecting in your
daily life. So you can say, it’s a transformed way of living.
Its not about not going to movies, not going to parks or not having your girlfriend or boyfriend, nobody says that is all spirituality. That’s not going to work.
It is about you being in a beautiful state and enjoying each of these relationships, enjoying your relationship with the boyfriend or girlfriend, the person your love
enjoying your education, enjoying what you're doing, enjoying your parents. Enjoying your teacher. It's about actually bringing beauty into that relationship. that is spirituality.
Right now if you observe there is no beauty in any relationship, all that is there is action and drama. Everybody’s life is like a movie. Constantly planning.
What is my role today evening? What is my role tomorrow morning? How should I behave in the afternoon? How should I behave with my boss? What should I speak?
Its like a pre-recorded script. Then life becomes very mechanical. It becomes boring. It becomes frustrating. Right? So if you want all that to change, then your state has to change. If your state has to change your need spirituality.
Enlightenment is a state. It is a state where you are free from the mind.
Modern understanding of the human mind only began in the 1500s. This understanding is still underdeveloped, when compared to what the sages had intuited thousands of years ago. The sages who lived in the forests and hills of India. These sages saw the matrix of the human mind as having 4 dimensions to it.
The first dimension they saw is what they called it as - Manas or the Thinking mind. You could compare this thinking mind to a subway station, where there are constant trains of thoughts that keep coming and going on the same tracks.
Same thoughts, same emotions over and over the years, again and again. This is Manas.
The second layer in this matrix of the mind is - Ahankara'. Sense of an egoic self you know which tends to own and its primary purpose is to identify. When the thought trains of fear arise, Ahankara says- I am afraid. When thought train of anger arise, Ahankara says - I am angry. Ahankara is that ignorant tendency to constantly identify - its again a habit. To identify with everything that arises in this sub-way station of thought.
The third matrix of the mind - Buddhi or the Intellect. Intellect or Buddhi is the discriminatory agency. This is built because of years of conditioning. It divides thoughts as good thoughts- bad thoughts, thoughts that should be, thoughts that should not be. This constant dividing, constant naming, constant comparing. This is the third activity that goes on within the matrix of the mind.
The fourth layer of this matrix of the mind is - Chittha or ‘Awareness’. This is a process of self-observation, this process of self is awareness to reflect back on what thought is arising, building into an emotion’ this entire process is the seat of wisdom. When your 'Chittha' becomes more active, you become a wiser human-being.
It’s only when you are enlightened, you are free of your entanglement with the 4 matrices that you can make intelligent decisions in life. Remember, your mind is not the source of intelligence. Intelligence is a property of consciousness thats present throughout this universe. As long as you are not enlightened, you are within the matrix. But when you become enlightened, you move out of this matrix. You are like an eagle that is soaring above everything. You have an expansive view of situations and life circumstances. Intelligent decisions and powerful actions becomes possible.
Learn to nurture a great state of consciousness to make right decisions and live a great life - By Sri Krishnaji
Decisions are the most important force in your life. You all will agree that your decisions decide your life’s destiny.
How your life will be 5 years from now, 10 years from now, 25 years from now will depend on the big and the small decisions you make.
Decisions you make determines what possibilities and opportunities would manifest in your life.
So there was a study at the Oxford university, and this study was done as recently as in 2017, scientists have discovered that there is a part of the brain seated within the prefrontal cortex which is very unique to humans.
They called it the lateral frontal pole. This is a small walnut shaped structure and is responsible for human being’s ability to look into the distant future,
plan strategically and make intelligent decisions.
You know they say that the higher cognitive powers of humanity comes from this centre.
So this makes it absolutely clear that the universe has designed you to be intelligent decision makers and the universe has implanted that potential within your brain.
So what’s missing right now? Why are you not intelligent decision makers today?
The element that is missing is an awakening in your consciousness, an awakening in your inner state to activate this potential in you so that you can live an extraordinary life.
And this awakening is possible through the immense wisdom and transformation that Preethaji and I are going to lead you through in these sessions and more specifically addressed in the Youth Manifest.
So do not think that only the big decisions matter - you know generally people think that only big decisions matter. Like you know, decisions about your career, choosing a life partner, marriage, business. But if you carefully look at it you may only make handful number of such decisions throughout your life. Unless and until one decides to marry ten times, then its a different story.
So when you actually pay attention to life, you are making innumerable small decisions every day of your life.
Like the food you will eat, how you spend your time, how would you relate with your friends and family, tasks that you will do or you will not do and refuse to do.
These are some conscious decisions you make every day.
But these small decisions are the forces and currents that push your life in a particular direction.
I want you all to understand that life is a complex web, you know where every aspect is connected to every other aspect. The decisions you make impacts the entirety of your life.
That is why you need immense wisdom, awareness and attention and a great state of consciousness to make right decisions most of the time and this will make you live a successful and will give you a great life.
The biggest problem the youth of the world face today, that I and Preethaji believe strongly is the problem of pressure. Is the problem of psychological pressure.
You - the current generation are enduring the greatest pressure than anybody else in history. Why is this psychological pressure? or where is this psychological pressure coming from?
Each and everyone of us, each and everyone of you out there are pressured, are feeling pressured. Peer pressure, parental pressure, education pressure, pressure to look good and beautiful, pressure to look intelligent, pressure to succeed, pressure to make money , pressure to be fashionable, pressure to be trendy, absolutely and pressure to win.
Every second of your life you are feeling pressured. And this disease or this pressure the you are feeling do you think it will go away? Do you think you all can be free of pressure? There is no way you can be free of this pressure. Can you ever avoid pressure from your parents, can you avoid pressure from your friends, can you ever avoid pressure from your work? Impossible. You cannot avoid pressure. These pressures are going to be a part of your life. But you will need to learn to navigate through these pressures.
You need to learn to make decisions and you need to learn to live your life free from this pressure.
If you can learn to handle this one single thing in your life you will conquer everything in life. Your life will be beautiful, your relationships will beautiful, your work will be beautiful, your friendships will be beautiful. Everything will be beautiful.
If you are not able to handle this pressure , you as an adult, when you are growing up your life is going to be miserable. There are lot of adults out there who cannot handle pressure. I am sure you know very well. You will be seeing that in you home, you will be seeing that amongst your parents, your relatives everyone. who are not able to handle their pressure and in fact when they are not able to handle the pressure whom are they showing it upon? yes. You the kids.
The is why it is so important that as you grow up you don’t do that same mistake. that you show it on your kids.
Are you all able to understand the seriousness and the importance of transforming your lives? Not only yours, but your friends, your colleagues, everyone. The youth today majority of you out there are heading towards a massive problem. And what is the solution? We have a solution. All of you have a solution. You can’t stop the world from putting pressure on you. Pressure will be there .
But you must learn not to internalize that pressure and succumb to stress. You have to diffuse the pressure. Even in the most toughest of situations you must learn to diffuse pressure and you must learn to live a stress free life.
Which means you must learn to live in powerful sates of consciousness, which means you must learn to live the art of living in a Beautiful State. If you can do the you are going to be a different person, you are going to be a magnificent human being. Impacting the world in a magnificent way. You will be creating a difference and that’s the vision.
The vision of Ekam Youth Change makers is to make each and everyone of you to live a life where you do not have pressure, where you are able to handle that pressure effortlessly, where you are able to live in a Beautiful State and create a beautiful life, beautiful relationships, beautiful work, becoming a beautiful leader, a beautiful parent, a beautiful friend, whatever it might be.
Every aspect of your life must become beautiful. That’s the purpose of our life and if you want your life to become beautiful then you also definitely want others life also to become beautiful. Its just not for you. And if that’s the case you need to become a change maker.
Is it possible to become free of anxiety and stress?
**Yes, it is possible to become free of anxiety and stress, but for us to become free of anxiety and stress, let's first understand the difference between problem and suffering. We all strongly believe that the second we have a problem, we need to get stressed about it. We need to understand that problem is an external situation, stress is an internal experience.
So if you look at life, we all have problems. We have financial problems, relationship problems, health problems. Every one of us have problems and we all suffer too. But to become free of the suffering, to become free of anxiety and stress. We need to understand that when we are in that state of anxiety and stress, we are obsessively thinking about ourselves.**
We have moved away from the problem. So let's say for example, you are in a job and you're fired. The problem is you need to find another job, but you are suffering. You are in stress, you are anxious. The reason you are anxious and you're stressed is because now you're thinking about your monthly bill.
You're thinking about what you'll go and see your partner. You're thinking about your pleasures. You're thinking about what's going to happen to me if I don't find a job. So you are going over me, me, me, what's someone going to think about me. You're also thinking this guy or this person who did not deserve this job has got it but I deserved it the most and I lost it.
So instead of fixing the problem. But just to find another job, you are actually going over a thinking process, which is all about you. And when it is about you, you will be tremendously stressed because you are concerned about whats going to happen to you. You are not concerned about fixing the problem anymore.
So if you can bring attention to that inner world and see the truth that it's become about me, me, me, me, if you can meditate even a few seconds on it, you will become completely free of that anxiety, you'll become free of the stress and you will have this tremendous intelligence come into you, which will actually be an intelligence that will guide you to find a solution to find the job or to fix the problem.
Unfortunately, we are not able to fix our problems because we are caught up in this conflict. We are caught up in this inner world, a stressful, which is all about oneself.
3 YUKTHIS FOR THIS NEW YEAR
I see 2020 as a decisive warning, it is an alarm from the universe, we are left with only two options from here. We either transform our ways of living as a species and move towards sustainability and well being for the planet as a whole or we take the road to extinction with no future for us and the planet. Every one of you has a role to play in this.
So at the individual level what is the change you have to bring to your lives in 2021? The way I see it, every person needs to have 3 elements strongly in their life. It must become a part of you. Then you will be able to navigate through problems, challenges and uncertainties with ease.
The first is, to make diligent efforts to evolve in consciousness such that you learn to live free of suffering.
The second element is connecting with the Universal Intelligence.
Everyone of you must understand that the divine will come to you if you called. Not as if it were a transaction between the two of you, but from a space of true heartfelt connection.
The third element is to be strongly rooted in a community of people who share a spiritual vision together. If you live with an isolated mind, you will become easily sucked into the vortex of negativity in the human collective consciousness. There is both light and darkness in the human consciousness. There are both beautiful states and destructive suffering states, which force are you going to tune into is your choice.
When you live an isolated life, you are like an individual tree that can be uprooted by a storm. But if you are together with a community of spiritual aspirants who seek enlightenment, then together you hold a strong spiritual vision to live in beautiful states of love, joy, connection, peace and grow into enlightened beings, then you are like a cluster of trees that strongly stand as one and fight the storm and win.
In these times, you must live connected lives, nurture others and be nurtured spiritually. It is like the bond between the baby and the mother inside the womb. Through the umbilical chord, the baby receives complete and total support from the mother - be it nutrition, protection, education, everything through its connection. That is what your community is to you, like a mother.
So enter the new year in a beautiful state, be sourced in the divine. Live connected lives, nurture others and let yourselves be nurtured by others spiritually and together move towards enlightenment. If you move towards an enlightened way of living, every other aspect of your life will come into greater alignment and harmony. Blessings to every one of you for a great new year, Blessings for great health, for great wealth and abundance to flow into your lives, and for you to walk the path of mukti, or enlightened way of life.
This New Year, all those who are rooted in an awakened consciousness will thrive and succeed
2021 is the beginning of a new era. It is the beginning of a time when those with an awakened consciousness will thrive. Those with an unawakened consciousness, those who are slaves of their suffering minds, will fail. Only those who are rooted in the power of their true self will succeed.
In 2021, many will be the fears that society will spin, many will be the fears media will spin, many will be the fears your own mind will spin but don’t give in.
If you have to shine brighter than you have ever done before, then you must be a Dheera in 2021. A Dheera is one whose intellect shines with the light of dharma or universal principles. A Dheera is one who shines with the light of a courage within.
Don’t imagine that the more awakened you become, the more passive you will be.
That is a wrong notion. An awakened being is a Dheera, the courageous one who is capable of taking fearless action.
The courage of the awakened one comes from 3 sources.
Courage comes from being able to stand up against the tricks of one’s own mind by being a witness.
Courage comes from being able to be rooted in the guidance of the heart without straying from your vision.
Courage comes from being able to be connected to divine will and flow with it with faith.
How do you build courage against the tricks of your own mind?
Let me narrate a famous story from Swami Vivekananda‘s life. Once Swami Vivekananda was walking on the roads of Varanasi. Suddenly a big group of red faced monkeys began to follow him and surround him. The faster he ran, the faster they began to chase him – until suddenly a sanyasi on the road side called out loud – 'stop running, face the brutes'. When Swami Vivekananda suddenly stopped running, turned around and stood firm – the monkeys cowed down in fear and ran away.
To turn around and face the terrible fears being thrown by your mind is courage. In an unawakened state, your mind is like a sponge ever ready to soak up the fearful inputs of family, friends and media. Those fears then begin to chase you. In an unawakened state you either follow your fears, take their bites and succumb to them or you try to ignore them, which will only make your fears stronger.
Only a true Dheera, only an awakened being can stand up to these fears and be a courageous witness. Like terrified monkeys your fears will leave you. Like shadows they will disappear in the light.
Let us talk of the second kind of courage – courage to follow your heart.
Whether it was a Sri Rama who walked away into the forest, an Arjuna who blew the conch to enter the battlefield, a Bhagat Singh who looked at his enemy in the eye or a Malala Yousaffzai who took a bullet because she believed in a rebellious cause – All greatness only happens when you follow your heart‘s calling.
Circumstances may favour you or deter you. Allies may come or alliances may break. But if you want to achieve success from 2021, follow your heart – follow your dharma. Don’t buckle under pressure, be a Dheera.
Your third source of courage will be faith in the divine. Have the courage to take God for a friend. Ask the divine to sit in the driver’s seat and go wherever you are taken. In the battlefield of life, if the divine drives your chariot to meet your worst enemy – look in the eyes of your enemy without fear.
Wherever the divine takes you, go with faith. Nothing can destroy you. You will be raised higher than you ever were by the divine. Free of every kind of fear – fear of disease, fear of loss, fear of defeat, fear of death - go forward to achieve your victories. You will become a true Dheera, the courageous & the victorious.
So many people are contributing to you, in that awareness is born gratefulness - By Sri Krishnaji.
Years ago, a gentleman came to me and asked to be mentored. In course of our conversation, he said I practice gratitude towards my mother every day. After sometime I asked him, “why do you ‘practice’ gratitude every day? You must really be angry with her. Are you?”
The man fell completely silent. He did not have an immediate answer for that question. He requested me if he could take some time and reflect upon this question. I said, defintly, take a walk and come back.
After a long walk he came back and said,
“Your question pushed me into seeing an uncomfortable truth. A truth that i have never seen before.
Through out my childhood and youth my mother pushed me towards success, towards excellence. She was tough, harsh, demanding, never ever pleased with whatever I achieved. Today I am a successful businessman. I know I have to be grateful to her for who I am today. If not for her push I will not be this successful. And this is the precise reason why I practice gratitude.”
Now let us look at the story of this man. On the one hand his conscious mind is fed with all the values. That says, you should be grateful. While on the other hand, his actual experience is the emotions of anger, hate and ingratitude that he is experiencing from the unconscious. He does not want to recognize anger, hate, ingratitude. Because he is not supposed to feel those emotions. If he feels them he is not a good human being.
He is only supposed to feel grateful. And hence he is a divided being- that is why he is trying to practising gratitude every day .
I would say begin with your journey recognising what exactly you are feeling,
Know this-Gratitude cannot be cultivated forcefully as an attitude . It has to be an awareness that has to grow in you. An awareness of the contribution not just of one person, Why your mother alone,- but an awareness Of the contribution of all the people in your life, of the tree outside your garden, Of the innumerable life forms , of the divine.
It is an awareness that you exist because of all these being’s contributions.
Without them you are not.
As this awareness grows in you there is spontaneous arising of gratitude with in you. To nurture this awareness would be a magnificent way to awaken the state of gratitude with in you.
Do not make it into a cheap habit of continually saying thank you, because that is what you ought to do and that is how are expected to be.
Do not also make it into a compulsion a kind of guilt driven exercise, where you say -I have to be grateful, I have to be grateful.
you donot “have” to feel anything.
There is no compulsion in this universe that you “have” to feel something. No,
That is a new prison you are creating for yourself in the name of spirituality. Grow ! Grow in your awareness of how life as a movement is flowing into you.
So many people are contributing to you, in that awareness there is gratefulness, that gratefulness will make you in to a responsible human being - not a burdensome responsibility , but will provoke you to action. Action that will create a difference around you, action that will make the world around you more beautiful -that to me would be gratitude.
Most people live mediocre lives.
I use the word mediocre and not ordinary because there is a great beauty in being ordinary- without a struggle to be special, without a struggle to be noticed. There is a great beauty to life when a struggle to be anything different disappears.
An ordinary day with your morning coffee, evening walk and the many daily chores can feel extraordinary. It is a gift to live with an uncomplicated mind.
If you live with a complaining, disappointed, anxious mind you are living a mediocre life; are you not?
Most people live their entire life oscillating within the vortex of
some security and insecurity
some pleasure and disappointment
some excitement and boredom
Is this all there is to the glory of human consciousness?
No. This is but identifying a tiny shrinking pond with the ocean.
Human consciousness is incredibly rich. Every one of you is capable of incredible glory.
Preethaji and I believe that a journey beyond mediocrity happens to any human being not through accumulated information but through a powerful experience that can catapult you to higher states of consciousness.
Fundamentally there are three kinds of transcendental experiences that reveal to you a dimension beyond the mind.
The first of these is a mystical experience, which is also called a conversion experience. When you have a mystical experience you convert from being an atheist or a believer to a Discoverer of the divine.
In a mystical experience, your pineal gland which is located in the region of your third eye in the middle of your eye brows gets activated and the mystical dimension opens up to you revealing a sacred dimension.
When seekers have such an experience, they give up destructive addictions and become faith-driven.
The second kind of transcendental experience is a transformation experience.
When seekers have a transformational experience the neurons in the heart get activated in a massive manner. You go beyond obsession, go beyond self centricity to a space of causeless love and compassion.
The third kind of transcendental experience is an enlightenment experience or an awakening experience.
When seekers have such an experience, your entire nervous system gets charged with massive jolts of electricity and you go beyond the limited self to the realm of oneness, into the realm of non-duality.
Your spiritual current surges.
These experiences don’t necessarily transform you into saints. They will transform you into awakened parents, awakened leaders, awakened teachers and awakened researchers and awakened wealth creators.
You rise above mediocrity.
And Ekam is created to be a gigantic mystic powerhouse that can push you into these 3 dimensions of consciousness - an extraordinary consciousness.
Awaken to the truth of oneness of humanity - By Sri Preethaji
EKAM MEANS ONENESS
To us, every human experience is sacred. We see that there is one human experience, one humanity.
That is what Ekam means - it means oneness. Ekam is an enlightened state of consciousness where you are awake to the oneness of our existence.
We are one with all forms of life. We are one with the Universe.
When you are not established in this great spiritual realisation that we are one, your actions and behaviour cause division and conflict. You inflict pain upon yourself and another. Your actions lead to disharmony in nature and destruction to earth.
You move away from oneness when you begin to see the other as being different from you. Very often in your conversations you tell people, ‘I am not like you’ ‘I don’t behave like you’ ‘I am different from you’. You may not behave like someone else or express emotions the way someone else does. But are you really different from the other? We are one in our experience of sorrow and happiness, we are one in our fears, peace, pain and pleasure.
Right from childhood, you are taught to emphasize your differences and prove your superiority. You are taught to build your identity on how different you are. Division is at the very basis of our educational system and the foundation upon which you build your career and your achievements.
May be a thousand years ago, humanity had lesser number of factors upon which people divided themselves. But with civilizational progress and scientific advancement, the walls that differentiate us and divide us have become numerous. Our obsession to be unique and stand out as being different from the rest has assumed maniacal proportions creating distortions and aberrations in personality. As a civilization, we are inventing ever new ways, through our clothes, through our life style, through our activities - to constantly be different from the other.
This disease and sickness of the human mind has to be healed for you to move into a space of oneness. When division ceases conflict ceases to exist. You feel one, you live in harmony, you naturally care for another from a space of love.
Bless America for Karmic Release - By Sri Preethaji
Namaste.
Let us today understand American elections from a karmic perspective.
**You can look at a situation from a cultural perspective, from a political perspective, from a historic perspective or from an economic perspective.
On these many people have spoken. But what is the karmic perspective?**
When ever you see an individual or a group of sensible people making a totally insensible decision. You must understand there is a negative karmic force at work.
Now most of you know, karma means our actions, as also the merit and demerit of our actions. It is an energetic accumulation of the pain or the joy we may have given to others.
The ancients in India speak of one of the mysterious ways in which karma operates. They say “ Buddhi karmanusare” which means your karma becomes a huge force that will generate thoughts and desires in you and make you act in a particular way and the consequences flow.
Just as India has its karmic debt of centuries of untouchability to clear, many European nations have to clear the Debt of plunder and atrocities in the rest of the world, America has it’s karmic debt to clear. The pain it has caused million of native Americans has to be cleared.
Should this kind of negative karmic accumulation only be cleared through suffering the consequences?
Yes & No
No nation can completely escape the consequences of karma . But you can break free of it if there is an awakening - if there is a breaking away from the very thinking that made you accumulate the karmic debt in the first place. America needs to move beyond its prejudice built on race, gender and ethnicity and move towards oneness. It is only with such an awakening to oneness in consciousness that the dense fog of negative karma would clear.
Let us all Bless America that it may do right for itself and the world.
Triumph and Defeat - By Sri Preethaji
How do you choose a leader? Do you choose a leader based on colour?
A leader may be black or white; a leader may be brown or yellow.
Do you choose a leader based on gender?
A leader may be a man, a woman or a transgender.
Do you choose a leader based on age?
A leader may be young, middle aged or old.
If your choice of a leader is based on any or all of these factors please know that these traits are mere superficialities that end with the body.
But how to choose a right leader? What is right leadership?
Choose a leader who is inspired by a vision for their nation who is driven by a sense of purpose.
Don't choose a leader who is driven by aggressive ambition and whose only claim to power is the mistakes of their opponents.
Choose a leader who is responsibility driven one who is aware of the consequences of their decisions and actions upon the nation and its people.
Don't choose a leader who is ego-driven who is full of oneself. Never choose a leader whose decisions and actions are directed towards serving themselves alone.
Choose a leader who focuses on the present as well as the future. Choose them who initiate plans and actions that ensure the safety and wellbeing of today as well as the distant future.
Don't choose a leader who focuses on the immediate future alone and is myopic. Definitely don't choose a leader who is heartless and cannot connect to another human being's pain.
Finally don't choose a leader who exaggerates differences and divides them. Such a leader would breed discrimination and would inculcate a culture of exploitation.
Choose a leader who focuses on creating oneness; oneness between one human being and another; One culture and another; Between one's nation and another;
When the earth itself is in a precarious situation, choose only a leader who cares for mother earth.
A right leader chosen today can change the course of your nation and the world for now and for future for the better
Soul Connection between Couples - By Sri Preethaji
Relationship between couples is much more complex than what meets the eye.
When I see a couple, I see huge karmic forces at work. Often times, you and your partner have come together in this life because of the pull of unresolved experiences from an earlier lifetime.
That is why the instant attraction and that is why also the unexplained emotional fallout in the later years. Only when couples become free of the emotional baggage of the earlier life times, can they find a space to heal and also love one another.
Vasanas, your past life tendencies are powerful forces. If you had lived an entire lifetime in loneliness or longing for love, this same tendency would flow into your next life seeking fulfillment of that tendency. The strange thing is you will repeat the same pattern of longing again, unless you become conscious of the force of your vasanas and you achieve spiritual evolution.
We had this couple come to us. Over the years they experienced a huge attraction for each other that alternates with resentment and judgement. They tried separating, but the pull was so simply strong to leave.
In one of the processes at Ekam, they saw their past lives. Ekam is the divine force field that opens up you to the transcendental dimension during processes. People see other worlds - they see other dimensions of their being, they are able to see beyond the physical. Even total athiests at Ekam come upon the divine presence during the processes.
This couple had lived many lifetimes without ever having awakened to love. Each lifetime it was only a desperate search for fulfillment.
So he saw the force of this vasana of addiction to pleasure and she saw her vasana of possessiveness and control.
Returning back to this couple, today after 3 years of their journey through various processes at Ekam, they both have dissolved their vasanas. An enduring love has taken root in their relationship. They are today an awakened couple evolving in love.
As a couple you can only make sense of your partner relationship if you realise that you two are beings on a shared journey of evolution. Until your heart opens to love, that is causeless, these karmic cycles of birth and death will go on and on in differing combinations.
Dussehra or Navaratri - By Sri Preethaji
Dussehra or Navarathri is a celebration of the mother goddess. However Krishna ji and I see it also a celebration of the feminine in all of us. Navaratri to us is also the journey of a spiritual seeker towards Enlightenment.
Hinduism is one of the world's oldest religion and its timeless messages are often communicated not in the lengthy explanations, but are coded in symbols, they are coded in images.
Most Indians assume Dussehra is celebrated because Durga killed the demon Mahishaasura in some parallel reality, in Some by-gone time.
But do you want to know the truth?
The truth is that we are the goddess and we are the Asura or the demon.
To me the goddess is not a force outside of us. She is the mother, the feminine, the shakthi, the divine womb in which universes are birthed and dissolved, who can be accessed in our consciousness.
And the demon also is not outside us. It is our own unawakened, ignorant, separate self.
They call Dussehra as Navaratri, meaning 9 nights instead of Nava Dina or 9 days. Do you know why? Close your eyes for a moment. What do you see? You see ratri.
Ratri symbolizes the darkness that happens when you are sitting with your eyes shut in meditation. It is an unfoldment in consciousness.
The first three days of Navaratri is the play of Durga.
Goddess Durga accordingly to the myth wakes up the Yoga Maya of Mahavishnu and kills the demons Madhu and Kaitabha.
On the seekers path the death of these asuras means, the dissolution of the two core suffering states of anger and greed.
In a state of meditative awareness, the seeker summons the power of the mother goddess and goes through a deep powerful spiritual process of dissolving all anger related states of frustration, hate and vengefulness.
The seeker through a process dissolves all the greed related states of jealousy, anxiety and covetousness.
The mother goddess as Durga dispells darkness or dispells thamas from our consciousness. With this first milestone crossed, a spiritual milestone crossed, we have transcended Durgati or the downward collapse of our destinies into a disastrous fate.
When we transcend these states with the blessings of the divine mother, blessings of abundance begins to pour into our lives. That is why the 4th, 5th and 6th days of Navaratri are dedicated to mother goddess as Maha Laxmi.
Dharana on Mahalakshmi - By Sri Preethaji
Let us now do the Mahalaxmi Upasana.

Making the Big Decision Bless America - By Sri Preethaji
America is one of the youngest nations in the world, but one that is built on timeless principles.
It is a nation that has contributed the most towards peace along with the UN since the Second World War. It has also contributed to the birthing and the furthering of many conflicts and violence in the world.
As a nation America has contributed to the emergence and spread of environment movement for the world itself but sadly it is one of the greatest polluter on earth.
As a nation it has two sides.
One that has stood for freedom, openness and non judgement of any life style, any culture, any ideology.
While there is also a huge population that gives into the dark side of insecurity, intolerance and prejudice towards anything that is different from them.
For over a century America has been a trend setter for the world. Millions in every nation look up to America as a pioneer. And now when the future of earth itself hangs in a precarious condition, it is important America makes a very wise choice of its leader.
It needs a leader who is not national or international in their outlook, but a leader who cares for the earth as a whole.
Let us Bless America.
So that it’s influence may be beneficial to all living beings on earth.
World Food Day - By Sri Preethaji
Food is a universal pleasure.
Every creature in the universe eats from the single celled organisms
to us, to the stars.
Do you know giant stars eat smaller ones?
The black hole in the centre of our galaxy is going to someday eat in the distant future our milky way.
That is why the ancients compared the entire universe to a Yagna - a fire sacrifice.
Where the great fire consumes everything that is offered in it and transmutes the offerings received into energy- into life force.
That is why Brahmaarpanam Brahmahavir Brahmagnau Brahmanaahutam
which means everything is one indivisible consciousness or Bramhan.
It is consciousness that is the digestive fire. Consciousness is the food. Consciousness is the one who is offering it and the one who is eating it. Consciousness is the energy that emerges as the end result.
Food is a sacred mystery.
Dharana on Maha Saraswati - By Sri Preethaji
Let us now do upasana of Devi Saraswati.
Please sit still.
Look at the form of Maha Saraswati.
Take in her form, the white lotus on which she is seated, her ever pleasant smile, her veena from which the Vedas spring, & her swan, the hamsa
Please close your eyes and do dharana upon her form in your chidhakasha or the dark space in front of your closed eyes.
Ask her to dissolve the illusion of separation and fill your consciousness with oneness. Ask her to bless you with wisdom.
With this intention chant the mantra Shreem in Namaskara mudra and feel the blessings of Maha Saraswati flow to you.
On this day of Vijaydashami, energies of victory flow in abundance from Parashakti or universal consciousness. You could start anything and lead it to victory. So ask Para Shakti to bless you for what ever you want to begin.
Offer your gratitude to the divine mother for her blessings.
Open your eyes now

4 Dimensions of Diwali - By Sri Preethaji
Diwali as a festival has a divine dimension, a playful dimension, a relationship dimension and an ecological dimension. It is as much a celebration of lights as it is a celebration of wealth. It is on this day that Mahalakshmi is supposed to have emerged from the ocean of milk with a lotus in her hand And Vishnu claimed her as his wife.
Lakshmi the goddess of prosperity is known to visit places that are bright and clean. And is known to walk away from places that are dingy. That is why over centuries we light lamps at the entrance of our homes as an invitation to Lakshmi
What most people do not know is that Lakshmi is also a joyful goddess and is attracted to spaces where hearts are joyful to give her blessings of abundance.
Diwali Also has a relationship dimension. it is a time when siblings honour each other’s presence in their lives. For most of you, your siblings would have been your first Playmates isn’t it?
Siblings embody a fragment of our parents. They possess within them the affection and strength of a father and the immeasurable love of a mother. Many times we also see they carry with them the trust of a friend.
Over the years it is possible each of you has got engrossed in your own family troubles. Diwali is a reminder to step away from all this tumult of life and reconnect to each other with love. You bless each other for a long and a beautiful life of happiness.
Diwali also has an ecological dimension. It was not created to pollute the air and earth with fire crackers.
The south of India has a very interesting story for why Diwali is celebrated. Let me share that with you.
In his Varaaha avatar, God Vishnu as a Wild boar saves mother Earth by lifting her out of the waters. Born of this union between Vishnu and Bhudevi is Naraka.
Naraka Starts off as a strong and a good person but over thousands of years he loses his goodness and becomes an asura or a Rakshasa who begins to torment people and torture all living beings.
Several ages later Vishnu who is now born as Sri Krishna is married to Sathyabama who is herself an incarnation of Mother Earth. Now Krishna's citizens complain to him and ask him to end the torture of Narakaasura.
With his wife Sathyabama he goes to war with Narakaasura and together with her help he manages to kill Narakaasura. In his final moments of passing Naraka reconnects with his mother and asks that his death not be a morning but a celebration of his reunion with his mother. That is why Diwali is celebrated in the south of India.
The day Naraka is killed is celebrated as the first day of Diwali or Deepavali.
if we were to understand this story in contemporary terms, where do you think it will take us? Think about it.
Do you know what the word NARAKA actually means? It means "a piece of earth".
A piece of earth that has moved away from the mother.
It refers to human consciousness that has moved away from nature, from mother earth. On Diwali, with the lighting of lamps- this darkness and separation in our consciousness is dispelled and we are united with mother earth.
Finally Diwali is fun. It is a time to catch up with family and friends, to dance, to dine and play together. It is a respite from the relentless race towards success or survival.
So this Diwali consciously choose to get off the routine of responsibility and have fun with your loved ones.
You are what you Eat - By Sri Preethaji
Let me talk of four stages of food and four fundamental insights for each of the stages of food
The first stage of food is the way it is grown. when you grow food in the farm, remember this one principle alone – what you cannot put on your skin please don’t put it on the body of the plant.
Just as our skin suffers, so too the plant suffers. and that suffering of the plant energetically becomes a part of our body and becomes sickness in us.
The second stage of food is cooking. Everything in this universe has a field of energy around it.
Our emotions too are fields of energy that cause impressions. That is why in India, when you visit a home where death has happened and you return- they ask you to have a shower and change clothes. Why? One of the many reasons is that your clothes and skin carry the impressions of the sadness in that house as thoughts. Wash your body with turmeric water or salt, you are washing away those sad thought impressions.
Similarly, while coming to food- one has to be conscious of the emotional state you are in. Your anger, sadness or fear does become impressions on the food you are cooking and will generate similar thoughts in the ones who are eating it. If you are joyful and peaceful while cooking, people who eat your food will feel upbeat and positive. One of the most important factors we look into for our chefs on campus here is their levels of happiness or unhappiness.
The third stage of food is "what" you eat and "when" you eat. I will only say this much to you- feel how your body feels after eating. If it feels heavy and drowsy after eating, don't eat that food. If you feel too agitated and uneasy and does not allow you to sleep, don't eat that food. If it makes you feel light, it makes you feel awake and fresh- I would say that food is right for you.
Let not your tongue become the master and make decisions for you. Let your awareness be your master.
Regarding when you should eat? The best time to eat is when the sun has still not gone down the horizon. And give a gap of 14 hours between the last meal of the day and the first meal of the day.
The fourth stage is - how to eat?
The ancients say- Annam parabrahma swaroopam. Which means- that spoon of food in your hand today contains the entire universe in it. It is universal consciousness itself.
Before you eat- pause. Take a clear look at the food in your plate with total awareness of colour and smell. Breathe slowly. And for a few moments thank the earth, the wind, the sun, the moon, the rains, the earthworms, the farmer, the chef - everyone who went into making the food.
Thank them all. Thank the universe for blessing you with this food and begin eating. Eat slowly. Hold the food in your mouth for a few seconds before you chew it.
This kind of eating like a meditation, will for sure prevent every eating disorder, weight gain problem and make you into a joyful and radiant person.
Let food become such a conscious act of Meditation.
Navratri The power of Goddess of wealth - By Sri Preethaji
Namaste
Last week we went into the first three days of Navaratri & the sacred mystery of the goddess Maha Durga.
Navaratri is the 9 day journey of the seeker into the depths of his or her consciousness guided by the light of the goddess.
The 4th, 5th and the 6th days of Navaratri is a celebration of the mother divine as Maha Lakshmi, killing Mahishaasura and Raktha Bija.
Here the myth becomes very interesting. Mahishaasura the demon goes into assuming various forms in battle. He appears once as a bull, another time as a monster, another time as a cloud, as an elephant during this war with the goddess, until she finally kills him.
Similarly every drop of the blood that spills from the asura or the demon gives rise to yet another asura. Much like the covid virus, until the goddess stretches her tongue throughout the world and swallows him before further forms can emerge from his blood.
To the western mind this might seem bizarre. It might be incomprehensible. However you must know that Hinduism is many tiered. It’s deeper meanings reveal themselves only to the seeker.
So let us go a little deeper now. Having become free of the grip of Madhu and Kaitabha, which are the dark forces of greed and anger with the grace of goddess Durga, the seeker must move in to the fourth, fifth and the sixth nights of his journey.
Krishnaji and I teach that the next milestone on the evolutionary path of the seeker is to go beyond the incessantly desiring mind. Even though you may have crossed anger and greed, longings and desires keep surfacing in different forms tormenting you.
Once it is craving for position, another time it is longing for pleasure, yet another time it is wanting to be loved - like mahishasura constantly changing forms.
And this ever hungry mind is a trickster. If you tried to fight one craving another is born.
If you try to suppress and kill one craving many more are born like Rakta Beeja. Here the seeker invokes the divine mother as Chit Shakthi, as the great witness consciousness.
The seeker at this stage becomes a witness to his or her ever hungry mind. You become a witness.
In this state of being a witness, your craving mind becomes queit. It disintegrates without making you run amock trying to fulfill them.
In the first stage, you saw the seeker becomes free of Tamas with the power of the goddess dressed in black.
In this stage the seeker becomes free of Rajas or the aggressive desire for money, for fame, for pleasure with the grace of Maha Lakshmi dressed in red.
Here is a secret I want to share with you.
Wealth does not flow to those who are aggressively wanting..... wanting..... wanting all the time.
The goddess of wealth only blesses those who are calm and those who are peaceful at heart.
Dear America, Be not Hateful over Hate - By Sri Preethaji
We have seen religion divides, race divides, caste divides, class divides, position divides and now elections and politics are dividing.
But why division?
That we have different views of life is a fact. That we live different life styles is a fact. That we believe in different gods is a fact. That our skin colors are different is a fact. But why should facts divide? Can they not exist like different flowers in the same garden? Is it worth alienating ourselves over an idea or an ideology?
Division and separation of every kind will take away our humanity from us. For over two and a half centuries United States has been divided between the ideal of universality on one hand and actual painful divisiveness in society on the other.
Each time divisiveness has surfaced, American society has either brushed it under the carpet or it has clung to its ideals tighter.
Have ideals ever transformed an individual or a society? If transformation has ever occurred it has only been because seeing the truth in its entirety even if it is painful.
The fact is that millions in this advanced nation are still giving into feelings of separation and division on the basis of race, on the basis of class. They are not able to see a fellow human being without the labels.
It is this division from the highest to the lowest level in society is seeping through as violence, death on the streets and as conflicts within families.
These elections are a test of fire for every citizen of United States.
Can a father and a son, a husband and a wife or two friends have entirely different views on who the right leader is for the country and yet love each other ? Can neighbors still care for each other regardless of their political inclinations, regardless of their racial diversities?
Please stop being violent over violence. Hateful over hate. Vengeful over revenge.
History has shown it again and again that anger and hate will only bring the worst in people.
Make a decision as a nation to move towards peace. Dissolve divisiveness from your thinking itself. Make a decision as a nation to move towards oneness.
Let this be a coming of age ceremony for America. In the coming days let not your differing views build into anger for each other. Because elections will pass; but the habit of anger will remain. Leaders will come and go; but you would have lost precious relationships.
Division and separation is simply not worth it for any reason.
Let us Bless America that it may rise in oneness and togetherness.
BLESS U.S.

Dusshera Celebrating the Divine Mother - By Sri Preethaji
Namasthe
We are now in the Navratris. More than 800 million hindus in India are celebrating this festival in the honour of the mother goddess.
However very few would know its esoteric significance. You are those whom I will lead into the heart of this great celebration.
The week before last, we saw the play of Maha Durga, in the first of the 3 Navratris. Last week we saw the divine play of Maha Lakshmi on the 4th, 5th & 6th days of Navratri.
Today we will see the Leela of the Divine as Maha Saraswati on the 7th, 8th, 9th days & Parashakti on the 10th day of Vijaya Dashami.
When Krishnaji and I lead seekers on the path of enlightenment, on their journey into their depths of consciousness, beyond the dark forces of suffering, beyond the dark forces of craving, he or she is met by the third dark force.
In the scripture this dark force is depicted as Shumbha & Nishumbha, the two asuras. The mother goddess then assumes the form of Maha Saraswati. Maha Saraswati is not a warrior goddess, she is the great goddess of wisdom, dressed in white, she rides a Himalayan Swan or a Hamsa.
The depiction of the divine mother in this form is so full of symbology. She is dressed in white to symbolise that she would take you beyond Sattva too. As Maha Durga she took you beyond Tamas or the dark qualities of laziness, anger and greed. As Maha Lakshmi she took you beyond Rajas or the dark qualities of incessant craving and aggressive desire. As Maha Saraswati she takes you now beyond sattva too. Sattva is being calm, being contented and free of desire.
But is being calm and contented the end of a seekers journey? No. This is not the end of your journey as a seeker. You need to go beyond sattva also to the fourth dimension towards enlightenment.
The Himalayan Swan on which she rides is a very rare species. A graceful bird which known to fly at the highest of altitude. It is actually beyond any bird's flight. Which means the seeker now lives in a transcendental consciousness beyond all chaos of the world.
The word Hamsa in Sanskrit means I am you. It represents a state of undifferentiated consciousness, it represents unity consciousness.
On your journey from the 7th night onward, you invoke the wisdom of the universal mother to go beyond separation, to go beyond Maya.
Shumbha & Nishumbha are seen as the third and final dark forces in mythology. I see them as representing the illusion of separation. In ignorance you feel you are separate from your life, you feel you are separate from your fellow human beings, from the universe, from the divine, from everything.
It is this root-ignorance of separation that causes so many divisions and strife in the world, divisions based on gender, on color, on caste, on religion, and nationality and race.
When with the power of wisdom you see through the illusion of separation, you rise victoriously into the tenth day of Vijaya dashami.
As you emerge into the light you celebrate the divine as Para Shakti or the ultimate force that animates the universe. You are one with Para Shakti, the all. One with the intelligence that is spread across the multiverses.
You awaken to cosmic consciousness. This is the journey of the seeker through Navratri or Dusshera.
Let us speak today of the impact COVID 19 is having on our inter personal relationships.
let us turn our attention to what COVID is likely to do to us as a race - as a human race.
Pandemics have happened before in human history. This perhaps is the first one that is happening in our lifetime.
Spanish flu killed 50 million population while the Global population was a mere 1.8 billion. It was 182 times more life-threatening than COVID.
Smallpox killed 1/3rd of people it affected and it blinded so many millions. COVID is certainly not so deadly. How is COVID affecting us then?
COVID has sadly claimed many lives, yes. COVID has led humanity to a collective nervous breakdown. Yes. It has broken the back bone of global economy.Yes
COVID has driven millions into financial loss and poverty. But is that all it has done?
COVID has affected the already fragile state of human relationships.
The fact is, that with the advert of social media and the internet based entertainment streaming through phones people were actually alienating themselves from one another.
We did not look so much for our brothers and sisters or parents when we felt bored. We did not meet our friends, family or visit cousins for fun or play.
We were dependent on the crazy labyrinth world of internet. We could get lost in the labyrinth of YouTube or Facebook or Netflix's seasons for hours, days and even weeks.
And COVID has in a sense precipitated that social alienation even further. Fear of the spread of the disease has already taken touching and hugging out of the equation now.
Fearing the spread of disease, today we leave our loved ones alone in some nameless ward in a hospital we have moved away from actually caring for each other.
Even if a loved one passed away, we are in the pitiable condition of sending a WhatsApp message as condolence. We are afraid to wipe the tears of family.
This is not to blame anyone. This is the current circumstance.
But please bring awareness to what is happening to your heart, what is happening to your capacity to love, to feel, to hold another in sadness and to reach out when we need.
At the end of covid-19 for how many ever weeks, months it may last - let the majority of us not have gotten into the habit of crying in loneliness or ignoring each other.
For what is life, if not relationships? Ultimately everything we do can only have meaning, if it can add to the joy and the well-being of others around us.
I say this is to you because every pandemic has left a mark on human societies that almost took a few centuries to erase.
After the black plague people refused to bathe - in fact bathe only once a year or once in 6 months in Europe - somehow believing that water was the cause of plague.
After years of smallpox, parents refused to name their babies after birth. They waited for the baby to survive after contracting smallpox before naming him or her.
In 1901 plague epidemic saw racially segregated Quarantine which long after the disease was gone, lead to segregated towns and communities in Apartheid South Africa.
So be conscious of what is happening inside you and inside your family members.
Create small ritual of love that you will do as a family throughout this crisis. keep the flame of love alive.
Eat together as a family at least once a day.
Meditate together or pray together as a family even if it is 5 or 10 minutes every week.
Within the family hug each other.
And share and listen to the stories and anecdotes from your every day life.
COVID will pass. but remember to emerge as more loving and caring beings from this, than otherwise.
21st September is international world peace day.
Peace in the world stands on four factors. You could say the temple of peace stands on four pillars.
The first of the pillars of the temple of peace is forgiveness of oneself.
The second pillar is non-judgement of the others.
The third pillar is peace education for children.
The forth pillar is meditation for world peace.
Let us look at the first pillar of peace. Which is forgiveness of oneself.
Most people are unhappy with themselves. You are not unhappy with the money you made. You are not happy with the mistakes you did in the past.
You are not happy that you give in to anger, you give in to suspicion so easily.
You are actually walking around with this fire of unhappiness within you. And the sad part is you are terrified of seeing your own unhappiness.
When you are not at peace, your family cannot be at peace and the world cannot be at peace.
Because the individual consciousness is deeply connected to world consciousness.
A lifetime of this running from Inner unhappiness is the violence you are inflicting on yourself.
So, pause. Be compassionate to yourself. Take time to reflect on yourself.
To look at your unhappiness within yourself and forgive yourself. It is okay to forgive yourself. And that is the beginning of Peace with yourself.
The second pillar of peace is non judgement towards the other.
Most people feel that they are superior to others. They think they are more intelligent, more righteous, more noble, more scientific, more spiritual, more hard working or more deserving than others.
And as a result of this superiority you judge and judge and judge untiringly.
Once you judge - you dislike the other. you even hurt them.
You take away peace from their lives.
If only you can feel their pain and their fear - you could realise their fear is just like yours. Their sadness is like yours. Their desire for joy and peace is like yours and it will become possible to let go of your judgment.
This non - judgmental letting go and compassion is at the root of peace in interpersonal relationships.
The third pillar that holds the temple of peace is to make peace a part of education of every child.
If you want a world where leaders will drive their organisations and nations towards peace, where the police and bureaucrats will use their power with great awareness, if we want every citizen on this world, on this planet to treat the earth as their own mother- peace studies must become part of every child’s education.
Peace, compassion and joy in children must be recognized and must be respected much the same way we respect grades, cleverness, intelligence and outspokenness.
If you have taught a child to live peacefully and compassionately, you have saved the future of the world.
You may be preventing the arising of a Hitler and you are probably bringing up a Gandhi.
The fourth pillar of the temple of world peace is collective meditations and the transformation of the collective.
Each and everyone of you have to work to tip the balance in human consciousness from one of violence and fear to peace and compassion.
We believe that when a percentage of people move into powerful states of peace and immerse into deep meditations for the earth, there will be a phase transition. We will tilt the balance in human consciousness towards peace.
Join us in our mission, a movement of awakening humanity to peace away from suffering, to connection away from division, to oneness
Our Girls Our Future - By Sri Preethaji Spirituality can sometimes be a balm that soothes the wounds of the heart.
At other times it can be a fire that burns away ignorance and evil and creates a revolution.
I believe it is time we all gather our forces together – all spiritual teachers, Social reformers, educators, mothers, fathers conscious young people
let us hold a vision to truly awaken the hearts of every child, teen and young adult.
Look at what is happening in India -a nation that taught the alphabets and the numerals of non-violence to the world, a nation that has for millennia considered woman sacred What is happening to us?
Please don’t shut your eyes to truth because it is hard to bear. We can’t change what we don’t see what we don’t meditate upon.
What makes one human being hurt another?
What makes a man molest a child?
What makes a group of men rape, mutilate and kill a girl?
Can you feel? It is only a heart that is totally dead, that is dead to all feelings. It is only that heart that can perpetrate such acts of cruelty. Dead to feeling what another is feeling. Dead even to what they are feeling in themselves their own lust, rage, their own fear, their own thirst for pleasure.
When the heart dies, what remains is not human, not animal
something beastly and monstrous emerges in its place.
It is terrifying to imagine that millions of such people roam the face of the earth.
Poverty and the rage of hunger, frustration and anger towards those who live better lives, addictions and total loss of sensibilities, maddening pleasure-thirst fueled by various media - all building into the disasters we see around ourselves.
What is the cure? How do we prevent the arising of such people in the next 5 years or 10 years?
What we are seeing today is the result of a failed education, failed religion, failed law. From where do we begin the remedy?
I believe this situation calls for a national education on sensitizing the heart.
It needs a massive education not on morals, not on religion but on being human.
Our national education needs a strong element of meditation and life wisdom that can awaken the hearts of children, awaken the hearts of young people to compassion for themselves and others, to respect the weak and the powerful, to care for one’s own family and others.
We need an education that will educate, that will teach young people to dissolve their frustration, their anger, their insecurity and lust through the universal art of meditation and not to succumb to destructive habits.
In a country with over a billion population, with millions battling for survival, how can we expect parents or caregivers to engage in human cultivation?
The government of India is now engaged in the process of transforming education.
I urge the government that a hope for a better nation lies in introducing elements of heart centered education now. It is okay to be late than never.
Peace Meditation for International World Peace Day - By Sri Preethaji
On the occasion of international world peace Day, let us immerse in a beautiful peace meditation.
Kindly sit still and close your eyes.
Inhale into your lungs deeply and say the word “ peace” within.
Exhaling slowly say within “Peace”.
Now place your palms on your heart , breathe into your heart , breathe out of your heart,
For whatever you have been angry with yourself, say to yourself- I forgive myself. I am at peace
Feel it deeply and say within yourself - I forgive myself. I am at peace
Relax your palms and feel as if you are breathing peace in and breathing peace out.
Now think of one person you judge and dislike. For a few moments stay in the knowing that the other person’s sadness, other person’s fear is no different from your own.
From this space of compassion, wish that the other person be free of pain and unhappiness in life.
Feel as if, you are placing your palm on the other person’s heart and say - I am at peace with you
As you say this feel the other person smile.
Now see all the children and the young people of the world experiencing beautiful states of peace and joy. See them peaceful and joyful like little Buddhas.
Feel a world where these peace loving people are heading tomorrow’s politics, businesses, technology, science and entertainment.
Make a sacred intention to bring peace to the children around you.
Deeply inhale and say- I am at peace with the future
Expand your sense of peace even further.
Think of the world, All the people. Thousands of them who travel with you on road everyday. Feel the anxiety behind their faces. and say -I and you are one.
Expand your awareness even further. Think of the earth.
She is that mother who has become our body. We are made of her earth, her soil. She is that mother who becomes our food. She is the energy that courses through our brains and bodies. It is her water that courses through our veins as blood. Feel the inter connection with the earth and bless her that she be peaceful.
Bless that the earth may live well. That all her life forms may live peacefully.
Om Sarve Jannah Sukhino Bhavantu
Lokaan Samasthan Sukhino Bhavantu
Om Shanti…Shanti…Shantihi
May we be instruments of peace for all life on earth.
Take a deep breath.
Slowly open your eyes.
Depression or search for Meaning ? - By Sri Krishnaji
How do you know if what you are going through is depression or a deeper search for meaning ?
The line is thin and the demarcation hard.
But let us enquire deeper.
Does life intrinsically have meaning? Does the tree that stands outside your window have a meaning?
It is existence isn’t it?. Pure existence.
Do the droplets of rain falling to the ground have a meaning?
They are rivulets of existence. Pure existence.
Does your breathing or waking up have a meaning in itself?
It is a movement of existence. Pure existence.
The tree may not have a meaning but it is true that it does serve a purpose.
The tree is necessary for the earth and its existence serves millions of life forms
So does the drop of water falling from the sky in nourishing the earth
So does your smile in bringing a smile to someone else's face.
This search for meaning is an existential quest. Why do I exist at all? what is the meaning of it all?
marriage ?
job?
money?
mine - not mine?
holding?
owning? it is as if you are relentlessly searching to go to the root of everything.
For some of you this search is a conscious act. It is a quest you are on. For some others it is as if the search has possessed you. Everything loses its charm quickly and discontent grips. All relationships, all achievements, all glamour - everything feels utterly superficial. Life feels fake, like a Truman show - all display and nothing real.
Let me ask you a critical question here. Does your discontent feel like an inner calling to rise beyond separation, beyond the mind created suffering to something beyond, to a state that is untouched by sorrow?
Or does it feel like a habit?
a depression?
a meaningless self engagement
a continuous process of taking offense for the smallest remarks
a feeling that life is going wrong
a helpless process of clinging on to something
Where do you think you are going?
Pause. Know your answer. And your answer will show you the way forward.
Whether you recognize that yours is a spiritual quest or that what you are going through is depression the journey ahead will only be beautiful.
you either have two stops or one.
your first stop could be healing your brain and body of depression and then to a process for spiritual awakening to never again fall into the trap of mind-created suffering.
Or
Yours is a single stop journey, a journey to awakening into higher states of consciousness.
When your consciousness truly wakes up, the search ends, living begins.
The Power of Mantra - By Sri Preethaji Let us talk today of mantra. Mantra by definition is a sacred tool that actually silences unnecessary thought chatter.
Mananam Trayati iti mantra, which means Mantra is that which silences the mind.
Continuous repetition of a mantra silences an overactive amygdala which then silences our painful mental chatter. That is why you find this age-old practice of chanting God’s name to actually calm an agitated mind.
Let us see what happens when mantra chanting is taken to the second stage.
At this stage mantra is combined with “Dharana”, which means focus on a form or on the essence of a form. For example you may chant a Hanuman mantra or do dharana either on the form of Hanuman or may do dharana on the essence of Hanuman. Do you know the meaning of the word Hanuman? Han-maan, means one who has vanquished his ego. That is why he could love Sri Rama so much.
While doing Hanuman mantra japa, you may do dharana on egolessness.
When you combine dharana and mantra together, the occipital region of your brain gets activated and you experience a powerful darshan of the diety, whose chant you are doing. At this stage when mantra gets combined with dharana it becomes Mananaath TraaNanaath. Which means mantra becomes that which protects.
Mantras are various kinds. There are Bija mantras which are like single syllable vibrations that unlock the doors to particular aspects of universal consciousness. There are also multi-worded mantras that directly call out to the deity’s name to intercede.
Let us now talk of how a mantra is chanted.
Mantrajapa is done in 4 ways.
The 1st way is to loudly chant the mantra. The 2nd way is not to utter it loudly, but to move your lips in accordance with the mantra. The 3rd way of chanting is to internally repeat the chant over and over again but quietly. And the 4th way of mantra japa is called Ajapa-japa. Here you do not chant the mantra. You listen to the mantra echo spontaneously in your consciousness.
Chanting a mantra in itself has great impacts. But, if you have a mystic connection to the diety of the chant you can even generate mantra shakti by chanting it for a certain number of times and you dedicate it as an offering to someone who may need it.
Not all mantras are the same. Some rare mantras are Siddha mantras. They have immense power built into them. Siddha mantras can be chanted anywhere, anytime, with any intention.
Like Gayathri mantra, Ekam mantra is also a siddha mantra.
Let us say someone in the family is sick, you can chant the Ekam mantra - Hamsa-Soham-Ekam. You may chant it a 1008 times, 10,008 times or 100,008 and offer the fruit of your chant to the sick person to aid his or her recovery.
Let me narrate a real life experience to you of a couple who used the power of Ekam mantra to enhance their child’s intelligence.
This man is a math professor and his wife is a musician. After many years of marriage they gave birth to a baby boy. The boy looked healthy but was too slow to learn anything. Everybody in his school made fun of him. Because he took huge amount of time to understand anything. At the age of 8, he learnt slower than a 4 year old. Brain scans showed no problems. Everyone merely declared it as a problem of low IQ.
His parents after visiting Ekam, took a vow that they would chant Ekam mantra 100,000 times. They held the intention that their child must be blessed with great intelligence. Upon completion of the chant, they offered the fruit of their chant to their son.
Less than a month after this, the parents noticed his comprehension levels grow. Today he is 10 years old. Today he learns like any other child. In fact he has greater attention than many kids his age.
The power of mantra is a vast esoteric science.
Awakening - By Sri Krishnaji
When millions of us will awaken to the ultimate states of peace- there will be a phase transition in human consciousness. These awakening experiences will flood human consciousness. They will begin to erupt spontaneously in people.
With this awakened, oneness consciousness alone we can find technological solutions, political solutions, financial Solutions, environmental solutions.
For without this awakening, the self-centered human consciousness will find loop-holes even in the best of systems and create chaos.
The solutions you find from oneness consciousness are not quick fixes, they are enduring solutions.
We will be offering Mother Earth a chance to thrive, to rejuvenate and allow a beautiful future to be.
Ekam, where we are sitting now is created as a Mystic space to facilitate this awakening.
There are places on earth where you go to find pleasure. There are places where you go to find money or political power. There are places where you go to find religion.
Ekam is created as a space where you access the power of the universe to awaken to God Realization and self Realization. The universal energy at Ekam pushes you into transcendence by facilitating profound neuro-biological shifts during deep processes.
This awakening is the evolution for which you have prepared for several life times. Please wake up. Awaken.

PLEASE SHARE THIS WITH ANYONE YOU THINK MAY BE FEELING LOW
89% of suicide attempt survivors say their actions were impulsive.
52% of the survivors said they would’ve reconsidered their actions had they received care and support.
So, make a difference
**Look back at the riots that broke out in USA this year against racial prejudice. Millions world over voiced their pain at the humiliation they had to endure, all because they belong to a different race. It was centuries of pent up anger and sorrow pouring out. These fires of racial discrimination have been passed on as behaviours and meal time stories by grandparents and parents to grandchildren and children.
For centuries we have hurt our fellow human beings not because they did something wrong to us, but simply because the color of their skin or the shape of their nose or eyes was different.
We hurt them because they speak a different language, worshipped a different God or bear the tag of a different caste.**
**KRISHNAJI IN CONVERSATION WITH MENG FOON, RACE RELATIONS COMMISSIONER, NEW ZEALAND
When Preethaji and I spoke to Meng, we were very touched by his simplicity and delighted by his humour. As race relations commissioner of human rights he is the perfect person for us to have this conversation.
Question:
How do we bring about a change to dissolve racial discrimination in the world?**
We can train our minds consciously and ensure that what we are saying to people and what we are doing to people is for the betterment because obviously if we think about it we can’t say something nasty. Would you actually like that particular aspect come to you?
So putting myself in other people’s shoes is very important. I think when we say actually have a bit of life experience and knowing what has happened to myself in the past then I do not want it to happen to other people. That is very important.
I will give you a prime example of me generally and may be its across the world. Mean when they get sick they do not acknowledge that they are sick, they feel the pain but they won’t go to the doctor. They think this is going to be self-healing.
And when we put it into a racism context or discrimination context people know that it is wrong but they don’t want to admit that they are wrong. The prime issue is we don’t self acknowledge that there is a problem here and I need to change.
And I mentioned before if you put yourself into their shoes of the receiver, victim you may actually say, gosh! i didn’t realize it was so hurtful. I am actually listening to myself and the words i am saying in perpetrating so am I going to change? and that’s a brave person, a brave person will say, look I have been wrong in the past. I apologize. I need to actually change and I hope that change.
The important thing is that we need some people to change and we need those people to be proactive to be anti-racist, like people are anti-plastic, make sure our waterways are clean. anti-plastic means I am not going to buy any more plastic I will see, and plastic on the shelf I am not gonna buy it. but also I am going to lobby that the super market doesn’t actually have nay more plastic. So in terms of the racism part when people are active and making sure that they call out or tap somebody on the shoulder anytime when some one says something derogatory that is hurtful to somebody they actually say - can you please stop it, can you please be kinder.
When are we going to realize that we are a part of this ocean of one humanity?
We are inseparable from each other.
Every human being needs to awaken to peace in consciousness. We need to realise
Ekam Sath - Vipraaha Bahudhaa Vadhanthi.
Which means that beyond all the forms, appearances, colours of our bodies as different races, beyond all religious beliefs, beyond all our biological and emotional inclinations, we are part of one cosmic reality, the one - Ekam.
Lonely and Depressed ? Find Peace 4- By Sri Preethaji
Namaste.
When what we seek changes, how we relate and to whom we relate also changes. Life itself changes.
Take a couple of deep and slow breaths.
Become aware of the journey of your breath in to your body and out of your body.
Let us hold this insight in our heart-
“The experience of loneliness is more to do with confinement in your thinking, than to a lack of company.”
Have you ever felt alienated even when you are amidst a group?
Or felt lonely in the middle of a conversation?
Do you isolate yourself out of loneliness?
Contemplate on those moments and you will see that absence of activity or people is not the real problem. Rather, it is your inability to connect or feel connected that causes this loneliness.
You cannot connect, when you are caught up in unresolved mental processes. Conflicting emotions like hurt, insecurity, fear or anger disconnects you from the present moment and imprisons you in loneliness.
You become preoccupied with yourself and your thought created miseries, alienating you from others and creating disconnection and distance.
Shall we meditate for a few moments now?
• Sit in a comfortable posture. close your eyes. Inhale through your nose and exhale through your mouth in total awareness
• Ask yourself if you tend to feel lonely often? Do you hide and brood in your own self- imposed loneliness away from people?
What activities do you engage in, to escape from loneliness?
• What emotional conflicts are you preoccupied with and how do they prevent you from connecting with people?
• This would be the right time to hold a sacred intention or a prayer for you to move away from self preoccupation and habitual conflicting emotions and to open your heart to connecting with people.
You may slowly open your eyes
Return as many times today to the realization that “The experience of loneliness is more to do with your confinement in your thinking, than to a lack of company“
Namaste. Have a beautiful day in a beautiful state.

How to address real Problems? 5 - By Sri Krishnaji
Isn’t true that there will always be polarity? there will be chaos and order . Is is not the same with violence and peace?
As long as we human species live I am sure we will have all these problems. We are masters at creating problems. Where there is no problem we can create a problem. And as long as we are going to be in unawakened state we can create more problems. Yes, all these principles are true - where there is order there is chaos, where there is peace there will also be violence all that is true. But what we have to understand is that most of it is created by us unnecessarily. So whatever is unnecessary that is what we need to stop.
There are definitely certain things that is totally out of our control. But I am sure wars, I am sure destruction of nature, I am sure racial discrimination I think these are problems definitely we can find solutions to if we can awaken to this enlightened state of consciousness. We of course cannot stop from an asteroid hitting earth I don’t think so that’s possible. If that happens then we have a serious problem. We definitely can’t stop if something happens tomorrow and weather changes for some reason we don’t know. like, or if sun becomes suddenly too hot.
These things are beyond our control. We don’t know whether we can control those things. But definitely there are many many problems that we can address as human beings. The way we can bring up our children, the way we relate to our wife or husband, the way we can relate to our brother or sister, the way we relate to our parents, the way we relate to friends, the way we relate to societies, nations. I think all these, I think we can definitely address.
we don’t need so much of conflict and so much of tension because we basically believe that we are the most superior species in this planet. and that you know we can control anything and everything. But unfortunately we are not able to control ourselves and we are not able to control anything that is happening around us.
Though we tend to believe that we can control everything. And everything seems to be constantly going out of control. And the reason that’s happening is because we do not have an awakened state. So yes, the principles you are saying is true but these can be worked on and we can make sure that there is lesser and lesser chaos and there is more and more order. less and less violence and more and more peace.
For example we all know that we can stay healthy if we stop eating sugar. But none of us want to do that. We want to eat sugar and fall sick. And after falling sick we want to say, now ok I want to stay healthy. Yes, the logic that yes health is there because there is sickness, logic is there but you don’t need to have sickness. you can stay healthy, if you really follow the diet and exercise, meditate, do yoga you can stay healthy you don’t need sickness.
So all these principles are right. There is so much that we as human beings can do. There is so much that we as human beings can change. And that’s possible when we awaken to this powerful state of peace.
Youth and Peace 3 - By Sri Krishnaji
The problem with the youth today is that they are very dissatisfied and the reason is that their consciousness is so disconnected. A disconnected person is a person who will take One path and that path is a path of destruction. Is a path of hurt.
This dissatisfaction state will slowly destroy you. Initially it could give you a tremendous amount of energy because you are so angry, you are so frustrated with everything that is going on, slowly it will completely consume you and destroy you.
Now, if you’re not able to handle this anymore then you are going to get into addictions. As you move into addiction that itself is a cycle, a vicious cycle from which you will not be able to find any more meaning or purpose in life because addictions will completely consume you physically and emotionally. And from that state you are not going to achieve anything.
So if you are really going to bring a difference to the world you all have to become connected people. Which means your consciousness must awaken to peace.Your consciousness must awaken to love. And it must awaken to a greater purpose in life. The reason it has to awaken to a greater purpose in life is because you are the future leaders of this world. You are going to be the leaders in politics.
You are going to be the leaders in business. You are going to be the leaders in spirituality. In social work, in every aspect of life, you are the next generation leaders.
Stop Domestic violence let peace flow in homes 2 - By Sri Preethaji
Domestic violence is experienced by men, women and children and the elderly in every country. So many families are no more homes they are places of pain and agony. The absence of love and the resultant cruelty’s is a disease that can silently invade the human heart and push us to domestic violence. Imagine a world where every one of us can return to nurture and security of true love every day, every evening.
What are you feeling behind that smile? What are you holding behind that silence? Please pause, enquire and feel your loved ones. Feel your colleagues. Feel your neighbours - before you judge them. You judge them as unsocial, as arrogant, as unfriendly, or angry - without ever feeling the person behind the mask.People all the time wear masks to hide their pains, to hide their loneliness, to hide their anxiety - even from their closest friends.WHY?Because somewhere, sometime - they were ridiculed for their pains instead of being helped. They were teased and laughed at for their anxiety instead of being given courage. They were hurt further, because they were already emotionally hurt - instead of being consoled.Their trust was broken, when they opened up about their feelings. You need to change that for them. Show them that they are loved.Very sadly, we all live in a world that is too self- engrossed. As human beings, we all emote - yet, we say- Emotions are a waste of time.If emotion is not life - then what is life?Emotion is a part of human existence. Our evolution is not about becoming unemotional- but about becoming free of painful and unpleasant emotions as soon as they arise, and to live in beautiful emotional states.Millions and millions are going to suffer mild to severe depression because we are the first generation of people who are living such 'Individualistic - lonely' lives.Ever since our emergence as a species, we have always lived in groups, in tribes and in large families. Modernization and culture has suddenly brought upon this loneliness. In very recent times we became nuclear families and now we are individuals with ever fleeting relationships. Our games are lonely games- we play with computers. Our entertainment is lonely that we each choose our own movies and our own fun in our own rooms. Our food is so individualistic that we each order our own and eat in our rooms or in crowded restaurants - all by ourselves. We also give into depression so quickly because we believe one thwarted desire, one broken relationship, one failed business attempt is the end of the world as we know it.Not all desires will be fulfilled, not all relationship will work out, not all attempts will succeed. If you can realize this and not give in to depression- trust me, greater opportunities and openings will flow into your life. That is the way of the universe. We can heal this depression. We can heal this mental disease of loneliness. Everyone of us has the power to do so.The way to do this is - Become Feeling Human- beings. Each one of us can learn to pause and feel what the other is feeling and respond in a way that it can heal the other; there will be no depression on the face of Earth.Human beings are delicate creatures. If in every family, parents can be conscious and recognise their children are moving into dullness, into depression, into sadness or into fear - If they can feel them, if they can listen to them, you can heal your children. If in a partnered relationship, the partners can be sensitive to each other, if you can pause, if you can take that time to look into each others eyes and feel what the other is feeling; and listen and hold the other, then you can help them get out of that depression. If at work, every organisation can give some time for personal connection, if at work you can pause you can take off a few minutes to connect to the feelings of the other - feel the other's anxiety, feel the other's happiness, celebrate their joys with them, hold them when they are in unhappiness, listen to them, we can heal this world. You can heal your colleague. As ‘Artificial Intelligence’ takes over the world, ‘Heart Intelligence’ must rise. That is the ONLY way for the world to be healed !
Sometimes I wonder, how we humans would have turned out, if we had descended from the comparatively more peaceful Bonobos instead of the more aggressive chimpanzees. Aggression, anger, territoriality and violence seems to be so inbuilt into humanity. Otherwise after more than 10,000 years of recorded history, would we still be going for wars?As a species we are gripped by polarities. We talk of peace on the one hand, but instigate war on the other. We are rich and powerful, but yet we feel so powerless and insecure that we want to go on expanding our borders on every side. What is wrong with humanity? Why this war mongering tendency between nations, organisations and individuals? Why does not humanity learn even after 10,000 years of recorded history that wars once begun never end? What is victory in war? Victory can give you the thrill of crushing the enemy but does it really give joy? Can it ever give joy? Look to the end of the Mahabharata war. 99 Kauravas are killed, all their children are killed, their allies are killed. Pandavas win the war. But after winning, all their children are killed and their grand children in the womb too is almost killed.Wars don’t end once begun. World War -1 birthed World War- 2 and you can still feel the aftermath of World War - 2 as terrorism across the globe. What a colossal disaster each of these wars was. The scars they left on people still continue after generations. Hate makes you go for war. After losing, the losers hate the winners even more - and we look for every opportunity to hurt back. With every generation of war-mongering, hate would only go on increasing. One cannot help but wish that more than 2 million years ago our ancestor grand mother from whom we all arose, were a more peace-loving Bonobo and not an aggressive chimpanzee!Let me ask you this question - In your personal life, what is your natural preference? Is it peace or war? Please know that if our individual consciousness were peaceful, that peace will radiate into our families, organizations, communities and our nations. If millions of us can desire peace and meditate for peace in both the countries, we can prevent this war from escalating. I wish millions of indians and chinese pray that there be no war between our nations. And that each can live peacefully with in their borders. Let us not be excited by war, but let us value peace. MEDITATION Let us now meditate for peace. Please close your eyes. Touch your heart with both your palms. Deeply desire that there be peace in both the nations.Feel peace energies radiate from your hearts spreading to both these nations. We come from a culture that always wished peace for all life. Wish that there be peace in all nations of the world, in all human beings and in all life.Om Shanti Shanti Shanti
The “one key question” every wealth creator has to ask, for wealth to flow into their lives
Is lifestyle change Spirituality ? - By Sri Preethaji
Often times when I meet people they say I am spiritual or I am practicing spirituality. So if you get into a deeper conversation with them they would say that I do yoga every morning. Just to clarify what spirituality is, spirituality is not a lifestyle change. Spirituality is not becoming a vegan or a vegetarian, spirituality is not practicing yoga in the morning or in the evening.
Spirituality is when you move beyond your separation. And you experience life from a state of being expanded with deep connection that is true spirituality. And when you act from this state of feeling this expansion and deep connection with life the actions that emerge out of these states actually contribute and impact the web of life.
What happens is when you are coming from a deep state of connection and you are performing actions with deep passion whatever that action could be it could be to remove the suffering of somebody or pain of somebody, to make somebody else's life more easier, more simple or to add value to product or to people. When there is a deep passion in this state of connection and you perform actions those actions themselves are contributing to people around you. Those actions themselves are a contribution from you to the world.
When you come from a space of scarcity you always scavenge. You scavenge for people in your life, scavenge for love, you scavenge for wealth, you scavenge for money and from this sense of lack you are not in a position to think about the world at large.
All that you’re concerned is trying to fill that void that you’re experiencing within yourself but when you awaken yourself to abundance consciousness life becomes extremely easy. You are not fighting at every step in your life. You are filled with synchronicities you’re filled with magic in your life and when you come from this state of abundance consciousness and you create wealth, your actions and the decisions and the actions that you perform from this abundance consciousness not only enriches your life but also you become an individual capable of contributing back to the world. You become a great contributor because now you have a state that is conducive for this act of contribution.
Want to make luck happen? Learn the art of making synchronicities happen on a consistent basis from Sri Preethaji.
Today I want to teach you how to make luck happen.
Kublai Khan; the famous Mongol general invaded Japan around 1274 AD. He invaded with 20,000 soldiers on 500 ships. And Japan was hardly prepared for this kind of a battle on sea. Japanese soldiers were more trained in single combat.
Just as the Mongols were reaching the shore, a massive storm stretching from horizon to horizon broke and tore the Mongolian fleet apart. It left no survivors.
The Japanese called it as the ‘Divine Wind.’ They called it 'Kamikaze'.
Seven years later, 100,000 Mongols again attempted to attack Japan. This time a Typhoon, completely out of season, destroyed the entire fleet!!
Now what would you call this?
Some would call it an accident, some would call it a miracle, some would call it a co- incidence, some would call it luck.
We could call it a - ‘Synchronicity’
So what is a synchronicity ? And why do w call it a synchronicity?
We see the universe not as blocks of matter, but as patterns of energy. When we speak of synchronicities, we see that these are meaningful harmonious occurrences that some how are either aligned towards our heart's intention or aligned towards the greater well-being of life.
Such synchronicities have happened to people. We think they are random occurrences. But we want them to happen to us on a consistent basis. Isnt it?
Is it possible? It definitely is.
We have for several years now studied and intuited the 'Science of Synchronicities'. Thousands of students of the Academy today regularly manifest synchronicities - both on a massive scale and in their daily experiences, such that they feel their life has a magical quality to it.
They get in touch with the right people they were looking for - and land in the right dream opportunities.
They come upon the right information they were looking for - and with that information create a difference to others.
They receive the right messages from the universe at the right time, when they are actually questing for an answer,
This takes away their inner struggle and leads them to peace.
But for these things to happen, two things must happen in your consciousness.
The first one is you need to experience a 'Beautiful Inner State'
And the second factor that needs to happen to you is - for you to experience a magnificent connection with the Universal Intelligence, call it divine, call it a field or call it God.
Most people think that the Universal Intelligence or the Divine is a massive force field. But only the Mystics know, only the ones whose heart has awakened know - that you can actually experience a personal connection with this massive Mystic Force field, with this Universal Intelligence. And this Universal Intelligence can actually relate to you.
A Mystic knows that this Universal Intelligence can be related to as a being - as a friend, as a mother, as a father, as a beloved, as a grandfather.
When you live in a beautiful state and connect to the Universal intelligence, relate to this Universal intelligence – and ASK- then you see events flow according to a strange sequence- like balls on a pool table and Synchronicities happen!
Just as Physics, Math, Biology or Chemistry are Sciences with enormous intricate details; so too the ‘Science of Consciousness’ is vast. It's like a vast ocean with endless shores. And it reveals itself to those who are passionate.
Guru Pournima celebrating our human potential to rise to glorious states of consciousnessGuru Pournima is ancient tradition. It is celebrated in the honour of Sage Vyasa who is supposed to have completed the compilation of Brahma Sutras on that specific full-moon day in the lunar calendar more than 3,000 years ago.
Are you thinking what is so special about the compilation of Brahma Sutras?
Do you know what the Brahma Sutras are?
They are pithy, brief descriptions of profound enlightened states of consciousness of sages.
'Sarvam Khalvidham Brahma' is one Brahma Sutra.
Let us briefly look into what this Brahma Sutra means.
It means that - All that exists is Brahman.
Brahman is the one indivisible field of consciousness. This Brahma Sutra says- All that exists is the one indivisible field of consciousness.
Can you imagine the depth of this Brahma Sutra?
All that exists- means the physical universe at the micro level of the strings and the Quarks - to the visible level of objects and bodies - to the macro level of galaxies and multi dimensional universes - all are Brahman - All is the one indivisible consciousness.
The single celled bacteria, to the blue whales, the rain forests with animals and all humanity is Brahman; All is the one indivisible consciousness.
All the Devas, the Asuras and the Spirits that pervade other Lokaas too are Brahman. All is the indivisible unitary consciousness.
Can you conceive the grandeur of this enlightened state of consciousness that each of us as human beings is capable of? And how mysterious is it, that such a grand state could be summed into 3 words?
'Sarvam Khalvidham Brahma'
That is the power of this one Brahma Sutra.
Sage Vyasa is supposed to have gathered the enlightenment experiences of numerous sages and compiled them into 134 Brahma Sutras.
A Sage like that who has left for humanity reminders of their transcendental dimensions definitely deserves a space of honour for all time.
Of course, it does not mean that there are only 134 enlightened states of consciousness. There are innumerable states. And the vedic tradition is open to acknowledging every enlightened state of consciousness that may arise in anyone at any time as legit.
That is why, they said 'Anantaavai Veda' - which means 'Veda is Endless'. They did not say - that only experiences that happened until this period of time are accepted and the rest are fake. The vedic tradition never ended at all. So long as human beings continue to experience enlightened states of consciousness - the vedic tradition lives on.
When you celebrate Guru Pournima, you are celebrating Sage Vyasa's stupendous work. You are also celebrating the potential of your own consciousness to rise above the limited life to rise to glorious states of Enlightenment.
End the tug of war in your head.
Spiritual Right Action that I speak about is very different from following rules.
The principles of spiritual right action should be applied whenever there is a conflict between what is morally right and morally wrong, and between what is ethically right and ethically wrong.
Let me give you an example from Bible. This is a famous incident from bible called Peter’s denial.
After the last supper when Jesus is arrested and taken to the high priest for trial, Peter and few others follow Jesus to the high priest’s courtyard. And there a woman and a man recognize him to be one of Jesus’s close members. Peter bluntly denies any association with Jesus and declares that he does not know the man at all. Soon Peter moves into tremendous guilt. He moves into shame and cries bitterly. He moves into shame and he moves into regret.
Bible portrays this complex situation where Peter fights a moral battle between standing by someone you love and protecting your own survival.
What would you do if you were in Peter’s position? Think for a moment.
Or put yourself into this morally conflicting position that doctors in some countries have faced in the recent past or continuing to face even now. They had to play ‘God’, having to choose who gets the ventilator and survives and who does not get the support.
Human life is filled with complexities:
To do or not to do
To help or to say no
To wait or to ask
To buy or to refrain
To forgive or to demand an apology
To say YES or to say a NO
To give or to withhold
To be patient or to demand
To suspect or to trust
To stay or to leave
To confide or to be cautious
To care or to ignore
It is in these situations that one does not know what right action is.
In such deep dilemmas of human existence, the principles of Spiritual Right action will be your guide.
Spiritual Right Action is a result of an inward journey you take in the thick of life.
In very simple terms, it begins with right decision.
You make a right decision from a beautiful state where you feel connected to yourself, where you feel conencted to the people around you and you are connected to the situation you are facing.
Once you have chosen what to do, you perform that action from that beautiful state and move forwards in life in total peace.
When you are caught in ideals, you are stuck in conflict. You are stuck in suffering. Your heart is dead because you are constantly trying to live up to the ideal.
Don't you find this happen in life?
Sometimes you find that while you are stuck in inaction, someone else around is able to act with spontaineity, because they were in a beautiful state of connection at that time.
Our ideals limit us. They make us feel frustrated and regretful.
Often times, you take recourse to ideals when you do not know how to live from a beautiful state. That is when you try to live up to standards set by religion, try to live up to standards set by society, or morality. And such ideal driven actions are often paralysing, leads to disharmony and leads to further chaos in your life.
You perhaps are wondering if there is no room for ideals or codes at all in life?
The fact is you don't need spiritual right action in areas of life where there is no moral or ethical conflict involved.
You don't need ideals in obeying traffic rules, in following travel regulations in your country. These rules are not ideals. They are codes of conduct. They are regulations.
Ideals are different. They define your sense of self. They define your identity. Ideals define whether you are a morally good person or a bad person, right or wrong in a given situation.
The only way to find an answer to this moral dilemma is to ‘Source’ yourself in a beautiful state of connection.
Is war good? Is war necessary?
Is war good? No. Never.
You perhaps ask this question because you have never seen war at close quarters nor have you ever reflected deeply on war.
Wars you see in movies are glorified enactments of fantasies.
Wars you read in history text-books are numbers and dates.
And wars fought on video games- they don't get you to hear the moans and cries of people who are wounded because you gunned them down.
What is the reality of war?
Violence, loss of life, maiming, destruction of property and broken dreams.
It is only a very sick mind that can want war or instigate war.
No war victory ever leads to lasting happiness other than in fantasy stories.
Wars usually end in bitterness, looting, children being orphaned, refugees and exploitation.
Do you think an act as brutal as this is necessary for a show of strength?
Then comes the question - is war necessary?
This is an extremely complex question. Because you may be a perfectly peace-loving people - but you might get invaded by a violent neighbour. Then going to war to protect oneself, to protect millions of innocent citizens becomes your Dharma or right action.
Let us remember that war must always be the final act of self-defence.
Every citizen of the country must bow their heads in respect for those who are standing on the frontiers, laying their lives to keep us safe. But that is not enough.
If you truly value their sacrifice, practice living with a peaceful consciousness, every day of your lives.
Remember, individual peace becomes world peace.
Individual consciousness steeped in conflict and violence, erupts as global violence.
If the Dharma or right action of a soldier is to lay his life to protect the nation - the Dharma or the right action of the citizens is to live with a non- violent consciousness.
That is why, it is the same Mahabharatha where Sri Krishna encourages Arjuna to fight, that also speaks of Ahimsaa Paramo Dharmaha on various occasions.
Ahimsa or living with a non- violent consciousness is an immense act of courage and not cowardice. It is not weakness; it is a sign of maturity.
Who else would know this better than us, the people of ancient Bharatha Varsha?
We are not a recent nation. We are a very ancient nation. We have never been a war mongering nation, which went to conquer other people's lands or riches in our long history except may be once, during the times of Cholas.
Do you know that even today the Indian armed forces are not desirous of ever going for offensive war. They only rise to defend when threatened. Do you know we are one of the most powerful armed forces in the world ?
World over there is an immense respect for the Indian soldier's dedication and fearlessness in combat. Our soldiers are ranked the highest.
Well, in the ultimate analysis, war is evil- but when war becomes inevitable, you will have to respond to the challenge with total preparedness. Just as at the beginning of the Maha Bharata war, Sri Krishna blew the Pancha Janya only after Bheeshma blew his Conch first - In readiness for whatever life may throw across.
Even as the clock ticks, the memories of you live on Happy Father’s Day.
There are doting fathers, loving fathers, caring fathers, strict fathers, distant fathers, absent fathers and even abusive fathers.
No matter what kind of a father we have, a part of him flows through us. When we stand in front of a mirror, we see him in our eyes, in our smiles and frowns. When we speak, we hear him in our voice. When we move, we can trace him in our gestures. When we emote, we can feel him in our thoughts.
Even if you never met your biological father, he still flows through you.
Sometimes what flows from your father into you may be wholesome samskaras or tendencies - sometimes less than desirable.
It is part of our karmic evolution to dissolve that, which is unwholesome, and nurture that, which is wholesome.
This is a necessary step in every human being’s journey towards success & fulfillment.
Some people ask me about what I think of Father’s Day that comes on every third Sunday of June.
It is quite a recent tradition and I think a good one, because it helps bring some healing and some connection between fathers and children in an otherwise lonely life for many people.
And think of it, most festivals are to celebrate Gods. Let us also take the opportunity to celebrate people who matter to us.
I would personally say Father’s Day should not only be to celebrate one’s biological father, it should also be to celebrate and honor anyone who really stood by you in the place of a father.
Listen to this ancient Hindu chant.
Janakaschopanethaa cha,
yascha vidhyaam prayaCChathi
anna daathaa Bhaya thraathaa
paschaithe pitharah smrithaah
What it means is that five people are worthy of honor as a father
- The one who gave birth to you
-The one who initiated you onto the spiritual path
-The one who gives you wisdom
-The one who feeds you
-The one who liberates you from fear
Around this Father’s Day you could honor, thank and celebrate all these people who have played a father’s role in your life.
Reconnect to the soul of this timeless ceremony and connect with the flame of love in your heartWhenever a crisis threatens your relationship, it will be very helpful if you as a couple can connect to the soul of your marriage, which is the sacred ceremony of Saptapadhi or Saat phere. Saptapadi is a 5000 year old Vedic tradition. I believe that every couple has to know the essence of this ancient ceremony, regardless of your nationality or religion. Most Indian couples would have taken those 7 steps around the fire, on the day of their wedding without ever realising the significance of it.
Because marriages are a blur of excitement and a rush of activities. So much of your focus is on how you are going to show up for everyone that you hardly have the time to immerse into the depth of your being. You hardly have the space to feel the depth of love for each other. For a few moments let us reconnect to the soul of this timeless ceremony.
During Saptapadhi, the couple usually hold each other’s right hands and go around a sacrificial fire 7 times. The first four circumambulations - the man leads and the woman follows. The last 3 rounds, the woman leads and the man follows.
With the first walk around the fire, the man holds his bride’s hand and says
Om Isha Ekapadhi Bhava
Which means, I WILL NOURISH YOU PHYSICALLY, MENTALLY AND SPIRITUALLY.
With the second walk around the fire, the man holding his bride's hand says
Om Oorjve Dvipadhii Bhava
meaning - I PROMISE YOU, WE WILL GROW AND EVOLVE TOGETHER
With the third walk around the fire, the man holding his bride's hand says,
Om Raayashposhaaya Thripadhii Bhava
I PROMISE, TO BRING YOU ABUNDANCE AND CARE FOR YOUR NEEDS.
With the fourth walk around the fire, the man says to his wife -
Om Mayo Bhavyaaya Chathushpadhii Bhava
I PROMISE TO SERVE YOU WITH HAPPINESS IN MY BEING AND BRING YOU HAPPINESS.
With the fifth walk around the sacred fire, the bride takes the lead. She holds the man's hand and says:
Om PrajaaBhya Pancha Padhii Bhava
I PROMISE TO CARE FOR OUR CHILDREN WITH LOVE.
With the sixth walk around the fire, the bride says to the man
Om RuthuBhya Shathpadhii Bhava.
I PROMISE TO LOVE YOU IN ALL SEASONS OF YOUR LIFE - IN YOUR YOUTH AND OLD AGE. With the seventh and the last step, the bride says to the man
Om SaKhe Saptapadhii Bhava
I PROMISE YOU TRUE FRIENDSHIP ALL MY LIFE.
Can you feel the depth of these promises you made to each other? They are supposed to have been made in a state of deep love.
If only every young couple know the essence of Saptapadhi before they get married, marriages would stand many storms more easily. When done with great sacredness and true meaning, this ceremony can be a reminder for years to come. In moments when your desires clash with the reality of who your partner is,In moments when the wounds of your past come to surface and become misunderstandings - the sacred ceremony of Saptapadhi will serve as a reminder to return to the soul of your relationship. You will realise that your togetherness is more important than any emotional wound. No challenge can take away your love for each other. Just as no matter how dark or huge a cloud may be, it has to give way for the sun to shine, so do what ever challenges come your way, you will reconnect with the flame of love in your heart. However, with the changing times and changing roles of men and women, we believe all the 7 promises must be made by both the man and the woman. Partnered relationships are not simply made by two like-minded people coming together, because of their chemistry or because of the couple's compatibility of education, status, tastes or cultures. To make a relationship enduring your hearts need to evolve. You must feel your partner to be inseparable from you. Let us leave you with a blessing: May your love endure.
Realize the ultimate essence of yoga. Happy International Yoga Day!Let me share with you about the fascinating birth of surya namaskaras from Hinduism.
They are not credited to any human yogi- but to Hanuman- the god of courage and super human strength.
When Hanuman approaches Surya Bhagavan to accept him as his student and teach him. The sun god says - I Keep travelling all the time on my chariot of 7 horses from one end of the earth to the other. If you can keep pace with me, I would not mind teaching you.
Hanuman joyfully accepts the challenge and keeps pace with the sun - flying backward facing his teacher travelling across the sky, and learning wisdom.
Once his learning from sun God was over - Hanuman seems to have spontaneously performed the suryanamaskara in deep love and Gratitude to his teacher, the sun God chanting his 12 names.
Why do we salute the sun? Because He is considered prathyaksha narayana. He is the visible divine. He is savitr- radiant spiritual luminosity that drives away our ignorance and darkness.
It is his light that is life force in all plants and trees and animals.
His light is our food.
His light is our sight.
It is with this Gratitude that Hindus begin their sun salutations every morning.
You begin and end your Surya namaskara with a namaste at the heart. This is because the seat of Surya or the divine aspect of the celestial sun in the human body is the heart.
Surya is also considered as the all seeing eye of time. That is; when you do dharana on Surya- you achieve deep insights into the nature of time and life.
Surya namaskara is 12 poses.
Surya namaskar is more than a mere physical exercise. Surya namaskara is a grand orchestration of breath, movement, focus on chakra, mantra, dharana on the consciousness aspect of the sun.
Together this magnificent coming together pushes a yogi into a state of oneness.
The first dharana you do on the sun in your heart chakra is as mithra - on the beautiful state of universal affection.
A state of consciousness that does not with hold its love from either the Black- brown-white- yellow human beings, from the grey elephants, from the white shark, green trees, violet mountains, and the blue oceans.
It is universal love and light the sun radiates on all beings
With the first dharana on Surya in pranamasana, Hanuman pushes us to realize the ultimate essence of yoga. Which is the state of oneness.
Sit quietly in sukhasan
Breathe in and out slowly from the abdomen
Join your palms at your heart chakra and do dhaarana on the mithra nature of the sun.
Feel the glorious form of the early morning sun in your heart.
On Mithraaya Namaha -7 times
Now Feel as if a deep love that does not discriminate on any basis is spreading in your heart like the rays of the sun.
feel deep love taking birth in you for all people, all animals, all plants.
Om Mithraaya namaha
Slowly open your eyes.
On this international day of yoga let us take the first baby step towards complete and true Surya namaskara.
To create an atmosphere of teamwork employees should feel, they are a part of the soul of the organization.
Question - Please talk to us about holding space for my team at work.
To me holding a space for another actually begins as a state of inner spaciousness.
Have you ever noticed that in the middle of a meeting or a discussion you suddenly become tensed? Do you know Why?
When you are engaged in a conversation and you feel an inner rush or feel tense it is because you are unconsciously engaging in a judgement over the other.
You are judging that the other is inadequate in their skills, capacities and knowledge or inadequate in their attitude and personality.
Or you are judging that the other is incorrect - incorrect in their views, in their opinions or in the way they are functioning.
or you are judging that the other is a threat to your self interest or that the other is judging you.
As a result of this stress and rush, there is compulsive urge within you to set them right, to correct them or to make them own up their mistakes.
Don’t mistake me that I am saying, you should not judge at all. Judgement is necessary. But when judgement arises because of prejudice, it hurts the other. This makes the other feel disrespected and devalued.
Do you know that more than 54% of people on average feel disrespected at work?
How can someone who is battling with disrespect ever be creative or productive or efficient?
Holding space for another means being able to connect and listen to another without this internal rush or stress.
In this space of connection, something magical happens. The other becomes a part of the solution. You radiate an energy of calm and trust that nurtures them, that allows them to express their potential.
Let us take an example from nature.
Do you know what a thick growth of mushrooms on the forest floor means?
It means the forest is thriving and vibrant with life; because mushrooms are packets of energy and life. Mushrooms help trees extract minerals and water from the soil; in exchange the trees supply mushrooms with sugars. Thus there is a healthy symbiosis and growth of life in the forest.
In the same way, an organization should nurture individuals in various rungs who live in a state free of inner rush, free of judgements and hold conversations in a space of connection.
You then build each other into forces of energy, that are aligned towards a common vision. Like forests that nurture the giant trees as well as the mushrooms-organisations should nurture the small as well as the big.
If you can emerge into a connected human being and if you can go through a transformational journey together with your team, with diligence, you will see a strange happening unfold.
Your brains will begin to connect as one. Inspiration, and ideas will begin to flow from one to the other - as if you had one collective brain, one connected brain.
Without this connection your organisation is like hundred strong horses each running in its own direction. If you want every member of the organisation to move towards success and achieve their goals, you must hold a space for everyone through regular practices of meditations.
Only then you can build success from One Collective Brain and One Connected Brain!
When there’s a glitch in your thinking, you need a programmer who is infinitely more powerful.
To uninstall defective programs in your mind, you need a greater power, A power beyond your mind
DEBUG YOUR MIND
If your computer or phone gets hung, you sometimes uninstall all the external software’s and then reinstall them again. And then the system begins to work perfectly.
What do you do if your mind gets hung? What do you do if it gets stuck in a space where it is not able to do intelligent thinking? Let us go into it now.
Most people actually are unclear about what the connection between the mind and the brain is.
In simple terms, we can look at Our brain as the hardware and the software is the mind.
So what is the mind? The mind is its thoughts, it’s beliefs, it’s memories, perceptions and it’s views. mind is basically old. Since it is old, it is also mechanical.
If you have noticed all feelings, emotions and opinions actually they are based on memories. That is why we have the same feelings and same emotions that goes repeating again and again. It repeats within us over the years.
the bugs in the hard ware of the mind are suffering states.
When any of your mind files become corrupt with suffering states, you get bugged. Let us say you got hurt with a loved one - some of your fond personal memories with that person actually goes corrupt. A memory that was beautiful in the past could now get distorted and you feel you were naïve, you feel you were cheated to have believed in that person’s love until then. You in-fact imagine that you were manipulated all these years! You feel ashamed about the love, you feel ashamed about the trust you held.
Like some viruses that probably begin with corrupting one file, and then go on to corrupt the whole system and make it crash, this bug of emotional hurt also spreads into every other relationship in life and actually leads you to total depression.
Every suffering state be it anger, fear, disappointment, can become bugs that can corrupt the system of the mind.
So what is the sign that a mind file is corrupt in you ?
Whenever you feel unbearable thought noise or your thinking become extremely chaotic,
whenever your thinking does not allow your unwise reactions towards others to slow down,
When ever your over active mind does not allow you to sleep,
When your inner noise does not allow you to sit still-
You know one of your mind files has gone corrupt.
you need to repair this situation immediately before the whole mind system crashes- taking down relationships, taking down your career, your joy, your life's meaning. Before it takes down everything in your life you need to attend to it.
To uninstall defective programs in your mind, you need a greater power, A power beyond your mind. The power of consciousness
If you are in a slippery deep pit, You actually cannot pull yourself out of by tugging at your own hair-you need someone who is strong from the outside to pull you out of it.
Just so- to stop this incessant thought noise generated by your suffering states you need to access the power beyond the mind-you need the power of your consciousness.
Consciousness is ever present presence. It is living intelligence. It is a field of infinite possibilities. It is the divine, it is the sacred.
When you are awakened to the limitless power of consciousness, you see through the limitations of your mind. You transcend the mind. You also heal the mind.
You will receive endless support from your team if your vision encompasses their well-being and the earths well-being.Culture always flows top-down. That is why the ancients said - YATHAA RAAJA- THATHAA PRAJA. Which means, as the king - so the citizens or As the leader, so the team.QUESTION- everyone is working from homes now, productivity and quality of work is going down these days. The head of the company has to work much more to the point of exhaustion , in order to maintain quality of work. What would you suggest in this case Krishnaji? Please guide us. We are entering a new world & we need to enter it with a new consciousness.Only from a new state of consciousness can we solve the problems of this new emerging world - not from an old separation driven & self-centered consciousness.Let me give you a touching example - A mother of a 5 year old child shared her experience, a couple of days after she saw Preethaji's earth day message. Her son has the chronic problem of bed-wetting which she had not been able to solve. The kid is just reluctant to go to the rest room but sleeps the moment he hits the bed.On this earth day, this mother sat with her little son and told him - I do not mind washing the sheets & washing your clothes any number of times. But I want you think about it - each time I wash your clothes, I use so much detergent & soap & electricity to run the machine - all this is hurting mother earth, her rivers, the trees & other animals. If only you would use the rest room anytime you feel the urge - you will be helping mummy and Mother Earth. The lady says that her son ever since that day has been using the rest room without any fuss.Even a 5 year old child changes his habits when he sees the larger picture. What about your employees? Trust me, your employees will go all the way to support you, if they saw that your organization is not all about profit, but has embraced a purpose that includes their well-being, the environment's well-being and the earth's well-being too.Firstly as a leader work on your consciousness. Begin to connect & truly feel for something bigger than you.As your heart expands and your team members see that you, their leader is not a self-centered human being & that your business itself has a higher purpose - your team will come around. They will work both online and offline. They will take the work pressure, you may be laying on them with respect & not with resentment.Remember, Culture always flows top-down. That is why the ancients said - YATHAA RAAJA- THATHAA PRAJA. Which means, as the king - so the citizens or As the leader, so the team. If you emerge into a connected human being and if you can go through a spiritual journey together with your team, with diligence, you will see a strange happening unfold. Your brain will begin to connect as one. Inspiration & ideas will begin to flow from one to the other - as if you had one collective brain, one connected brain. That is why we have created the Mystic secrets - an online course - a powerful spiritual journey for teams to take.On this course, Preethaji will lead you on a mystic journey that will unify you as One Connected Brain & One Connected Team towards achieving great success.
May today the celebration of earth, be one of reverence to our friend, beloved, and parent, Mother Earth. Happy world environment Day!Mother earth- she is a good soul to fall in love with.
In her is every form of love we aspire for - A friend, a beloved and a parent.
The rocks, the trees, the stream, the flower, the bee, the bird, butterfly, the scents of the wild and the colors of the changing seasons - The spirit of our great earth courses through them all.
Her breeze flows into us as our breath;
her waters are our blood and tears;
her soil, our flesh and bones;
her fruit and grains, our radiant skin.
From her womb all emerge
And to her depths we return.
In her we are one - The kings and beggars,
the black, yellow, white and brown,
like various flowers that fall from the trees.
She is Dhara.
She is Pachamama.
She is Gaia.
Love her and let her be
Let us Seek forgiveness from the pregnant elephant and all the living creatures we have hurt.Today is world environment day. It is sad we have to talk of the heartless killing of a pregnant elephant.
Have you ever looked into the eyes of an elephant? They are far more sensitive, kind and family oriented than most human beings.
A mother elephant holds her baby for 18 to 22 months in her womb - which is two times more than a human mother does.
How could we do something so heartless to a creature as magnificent as her. Like any human mother, an elephant mother also plays with her baby, grooms them and brings them up with endless love for years.
From where does this arrogance come in human beings to steal their life, their land, their babies, their bodies and their future? We can’t kill them and get away with it just because they can’t penalize us.
How can we be so cruel to mother earth’s children?
One simple virus could teach us a big lesson, take the lives of so many and break the backs of entire world’s economy.
Have we not learned our lessons yet?
One would expect some realisation would have dawned on us. Some heart and some feeling would have awakened. Sadly it does not seem to have happened. We can’t be a nation who worships Vinayaka but kills elephants. India is not this.
We are a people who woke up every morning and sought blessings not only for all human beings - but for every living creature on earth.
we chanted
[ Sarve janah sukhino bhavanthu lokaan samasthaan sukhino bhahavanthu ]-
Let us return to our soul let us reconnect with who we actually are with take a few moments, and seek forgiveness from all of mother earth's creatures.
Please close your eyes. Place your palms on your heart and internally apologize to every living being on whom you may have perpetrated cruelty.
Let all of us ask forgiveness from that mother elephant who suffered agony, lost her own life and that of her baby helplessly.
You may open your eyes now.
On this world environment day let us all make a decision not to buy any object of beauty or prestige that may have been created after hurting an animal.
Become a conscious wealth creator who lives In beautiful states;and access greater intelligence to cut through challenges especially during these times.
living in a beautiful state is a must for every wealth creator. For it is your state that transforms you into a conscious human being.
BEAUTIFUL STATE AND WEALTH CREATION
For centuries popular religion and spirituality have got associated with renunciation and giving up the world. We have seen wealth and comfort as enemies of a spirtual life. This is because time and again we have come upon the image of "the wise hermit living in a cave" as the go to person for wisdom.
But it is time to break this stereo type. What the world needs is engaged spirituality - not a detached spirituality.
We need parents, leaders, teachers, doctors, - people who are shaping society actively to evolve into living in beautiful states.
For, the essence of spirituality is not a changed life style - it is to live in a beautiful state of consciousness, a transformed consciousness.
You could be a king and live in a beautiful state; You could be a beggar and live in a beautiful state.
You could be a couple and live in a beautiful state. You could be a monk and live in a beautiful state. For, what is a beautiful state? A beautiful state is one in which you live free of the incessant conflicting inner chatter.
A beautiful state is one in which you are more present to life. You are not carried away by the stresses of life.
A beautiful state is one in which you are more connected to the people around you.
With this clarity, let is understand who a wealth creator is?
To conceive of wealth creation as the pursuit of money alone is a particularly limiting assumption.
If you equated wealth creation to a hunt for money, then you are looking at a greed filled, stress filled, comparison driven society - Which is sadly the case with the majority today.
Money is a by - product of wealth creation. Wealth happens when there is an application of intelligence to solve a problem around us or when there is an application of intelligence to make life more beautiful for others.
This application of intelligence requires you to live in a beautiful state of passion. For without a state of passion how can there be consistency? With out passion you will give up an any idea mid - way, when confronted with an obstacle.
With out the beautiful state of passion, you will interpret every obstacle and hurdle you find difficult to handle, as a personal failure.
I would therefore say, living in a beautiful state is a must for every wealth creator. For it is your state that transforms you into a conscious human being.
Given the current crisis every nation is going through, you as wealth creator will definitely need a beautiful state for greater intelligence to cut through challenges and flow with life.
Is your radio of a brain, picking up the right signals? May you value your peace during this mental health awareness month.
Become a fearless employment pioneer in the new world.
That old world is shrinking and a new world is opening wide.
YOUTH AND UNEMPLOYMENT
This is indeed a hard time for many young people - especially for those who must be graduating at this point in time and emerging into the market looking for jobs. But this need not sink your hopes for a greater future.
I would tell every young person out there to realize that this crisis can be an incredible door way to new opportunities and a new world.
You need to shake off the old world- view and look at the world afresh. If you however looked to the dying, old world to build your future, you will move into desperation and helplessness. Because that old world is shrinking. A new world is opening wide.
To enter this new world you need to shift from an exploitative tendency towards nature, to one of respect and symbiosis with nature. Your have to build careers on paths that consider the well-being of nature. You need to shift your career frame works from the old world that was stuck extensively to the brick-and-mortar structures to the new world that will increasingly orient to online world, to the virtual world and the internet world. You need to shift from following the old ways of conformity shown by your parents and society to the new ways that shine with creative potential.
For all this, you must refuse to use your career as a means of survival and money making alone. You must see your career as an avenue to express your passion, as a way to contribute to the well - being of the world around you.
If these shifts can happen in your outlook and in your consciousness, you will be pioneers of the new world. You will emerge as new world leaders.
Let us now take a look at the big picture. Let us not speak of the present crisis alone but of the future generations too.
It is unfortunate that education in early years of a child’s life in many parts of the world is structured to tame and discipline the child, than nurture and support the natural explosive creative potential of a child.
Education for a couple of 100 years has got so structured that it is destroying the curiosity and playfulness that is natural to childhood and has the potential to later become genius! Education in most countries and at most stages, sadly is a cookie cutter education. It is one kind of learning dished out at one speed for all. But does not every student have their own rhythms of learning, their own unique creative potential that would flower at different stages of their life? Consequently, does not every student need support that is uniquely designed for their pace?
Hopefully in the emerging new world, education too will go through this much needed revolution. And will focus not merely on equipping students to fit into jobs for survival, but will create fearless thinkers and passionate doers.
Such a generation will not helplessly suffer at the mercy of the ebb tides and the flow tides of economy and politics. Young people who will go through this transformed education can adapt themselves to any kind of changes in the world and live joyfully and meaningful lives.
In the ultimate analysis, the test for a well lived life is in whether you lived life as a burden or as a celebration, whether you lived it in loneliness or in love, whether you lived it for yourself alone or whether you included others well-being into your own.
How can using the path of hate, create a path of peace? What you are actually seeking is harmony and equal dignity - but the route you are taking is causing further division. How does this work?HARMONY AND EQUAL DIGNITYIs there such a thing as right hate? There is no right hate. You may of course justify it as righteous hate and the consequent righteous violence. You feel righteous in hating because you were hurt once and are afraid you will be hurt again. And hence you turn your hate and fear into violence. But please pause and realise your hate burns you first it burns your family and your future. Of course it also takes down the person you hate; it takes down their family and their security too. With hate, the world will only become a vast crematorium, a burning ghat.If you are listening to me today, pause and ask yourself - what is this violence for? Please ask yourself. Is violence a way for you to punish those who have hurt you?Is violence a way for you to put fear into those who can hurt you in the future?Or is violence a way and an expression of your own repressed pain and fear?If your violence is a punishment, please know that punishing someone does not transform them. It only makes them hate you more and makes them bide their time before they can hurt you back.If it is to put fear into them, so they would never hurt you back, fear is only creating further division, further separation. What you are actually seeking is harmony and equal dignity - but the route you are taking is causing further division. How does this work?If it is merely an expression of repressed hurt, humiliation and anger - expressing anger or hate can only give you momentary relief. What it actually does is to train your brain and consciousness to further violence.Let us remember that there is only one way out of this predicament for everyone - whether you are a victim or an aggressor-A massive culture of self awareness and compassion must sweep across the world to every nation, every organisation, every family and the world.Otherwise we are going to burn ourselves with violence and war. Incredible amounts of consciousness - education and meditation must become part of the training of people in power and authority. Be it the police, be it the military, be it the judiciary or the executives of government or the politicians. You cannot vest power in the hands of someone who is not awakened to compassion. You cannot vest power to control whole masses in the hands of someone who has not yet silenced their inner demons. This needs work on an emergency basis. We need to become conscious of our bias, our prejudice, our reactions to anything that is different from us - different from us in colour, in appearance, in our belief system. You cannot crush someone’s throat because they have more pigment on their skin while nature gave less of that blessing to you.We need to realise that we have absorbed prejudice like sponges. These prejudices have been flowing into us from generations and will continue to flow to the next generations too. This has to end now.
Sri Krishnaji's guidance to young people to emerge into Impactful LeadersQUESTION- Hi Krishnaji , Can I be a successful leader even if my temperament is soft? Who said leadership is about aggression? It is a major misperception that media & society cultivates in us. You associate leadership with aggression because you believe leadership is position. Is it true? If you assumed leadership is equal to position, or is equal to authority over others, then your idea of leadership is very flawed. You may be a shy and soft leader like Gandhiji or an outspoken and a dynamic leader like Sardar Vallabhai Patel. Gandhiji was shy. He was an introvert. But his connection to the unspeakable suffering of Indian people in slavery lead him to be a leader.Sardar Vallabhai Patel was an extrovert, and an outspoken individual. His love for an India- free of division, free of poverty, free of oppression led him to be a leader. It doesn’t matter what your personality is. But as an aspiring leader, you must understand that leadership is about the extent of impact you can create. Leadership is about how passionate you are about making a difference.Do you wake up every morning with a burning desire to create a difference in the world around you?But leadership is not for the faint hearted or the luke warm. It is only for the passionate. You may want to create a difference to the earth's climate like a Greta Thunberg. You may want to create an entire forest like a Jadav Payeng. You may want to stand up against child labour like a Kailash Satyarthi. It does not matter what your personality is. To become a leader, a massive awakening of the "creative potential" of the brain is a must. An immense awakening of the "passion potential" of the heart is a must.I would also like to let you know that the axis of leadership is going to tilt rapidly in the coming two years. It will be like a revolution. It will be time for heart- leadership. It will not just be sufficient that you possess a strong intellect; as tomorrow’s leader you will have to be intuitive too.It will not just be sufficient that you are aggressive and dashing; as tomorrow’s leader you will have to be a great listener too.It will not be just sufficient that you are strong on numbers; as tomorrow’s leader you will also have to learn to share your feelings. What I see common in all this, is a ‘state of connection’. It does not matter whether you are an introvert or an extrovert. What is important is that you awaken to a beautiful state of connection. For only from connection is born purpose, is born listening, is born intuition and sharing of hearts feelings. It is to create this new generation leaders that Preethaji and I host the Annual Youth Leadership Festival at Ekam and the Happy Hearts Fest for youth to build entire villages. These are events that will open your heart to deeper connection and your mind to a greater intelligence.I would say that every young person who is aspiring to be a leader must participate in these life transforming events.
We have to transform our consciousness, our state of being and move in a direction to save our planet.I have always been saying that our state is constantly sending a signal out and because our state is constantly sending a signal out the universe is going to respond to that signal and thats what is happening. be it an individual, be it a family, be it societies, be it nations or be it the whole world.
Now, I strongly believe that the more suffering states we are going to live in the more problems and obstacles we are going to face as a humanity. Now corona virus has become a very important topic and a very important subject because it involves us we as human beings because it is directly impacting us, we are falling sick, our friends our relatives , the people whom we know are falling sick. In some cases, people are dying,
So there is tremendous amount of fear and tremendous amount of anxiety to what’s going to happen to the future?
Now if you take a very wholistic perspective or a bird’s eye view there are 10,000 species
that are getting extinct every year on this planet. we are just another species on this planet . That’s it.
So there is a lot going on, on this planet. the forests are getting destroyed, so many species are virtually extinct everyday. so many new viruses, so many new bacterias are coming to life, ocean life is getting destroyed, over all the entire planet is being you know basically destroyed. its moving towards death. Thats what we see everywhere now.
We as humanity are living in a very self-centered state. Even now the question is, what’s going to happen to us? Whats going to happen in the near future? So, are we sending out wrong signals? we are in a crisis because we have sent out wrong, stupid signals. Thats why we are in this crisis.
Earlier the crisis was very much limited to one’s family, today the fear is felt all over the globe and we realize that the entire humanity is in fear. so we have to understand that unless and until we change our state , we transform our state, we learn to live in a beautiful state and send out beautiful signals out to the universe, I think as humanity will be facing a lot of crisis.
So we have to become aware of that and we need to actually transform the way we are living, transform the way we are living outside , inside, we have to come up with more innovative technologies, we have to move in the direction to save this planet. So if we can as a humanity transform our state, definitely this world will become a more better place.
Connection is neither masculine nor feminine says Preethaji - Connection is the essence of being human. In times when one of you is going through a health crisis, an emotional crisis or a financial crisis - connection becomes your balm that will soothe your hearts.
Namaste.
Did you know that self harm is the leading cause of death for people aged between 15 and 44? Also statistics show that approximately three times more number of men than women die from self harm every year.
Why? Because in your own families you live like strangers. Our hearts don’t really reach out to each other. Friendships have become immensely superficial. A deep unsettling loneliness is killing us. Many of us are spending the entire day on listening to music, watching videos, playing video games and are isolating yourselves from the rest of life and other people. you do not connect with anyone, you do not connect with nature, you do not connect with a cause, and some of u don’t even connect with yourself. Why do we feel unfulfilled in our relationship with people?
I would say that we need to fundamentally transform who we are and learn to connect with the world around us.
In times when one of you is going through a health crisis, an emotional crisis or a financial crisis - connection becomes that balm that will soothe your hearts. It so become your strength to tower over challenges. It will become your channel to connect to the divine and open grace in to your life .
Connection does not merely mean an interaction with one another, we have interacted all our life and our words eventually have left us feeling empty.
Do you think connection is about partying together, golfing, or smoking together and at the end of the day you feel depleted of all energy? Definitely not.
It is also more than watching a movie together, vacationing together, chatting or video gaming together, or networking together.
SO WHAT IS CONNECTION?
To Connect is to feel the other.
To connect is to celebrate the joy of another, to be with the other in their joy - not to behave as if your joy were separate from another.
To connect is to be sensitive to another's unhappiness or inner-conflict. It is to make a conscious effort to help them become free of their inner disturbance.
To connect is to be present. To be present to listen and to feel the other, instead of incessantly speaking or being lost in thought.
To be present is not to take the other for granted - but to truly appreciate the other's presence in your life.
Does this make connection sound feminine? No. Connection is neither a masculine or a feminine experience - it is the essence of being human.
This Earth Day, What are your ideas for "practising sustainability at home?" Please share with us. We will explore one idea every week.April 22nd is Earth day. A day on which all of us humans have collectively decided to honour and cherish mother Earth. On this earth day, let us begin a love revolution for mother Earth from our homes. Let us call it "practising sustainability at home". In 1968, 3 astronauts left the earth on the space ship Apollo 8, to discover the moon. But that Christmas Eve, as they looked at the bleak land scape of the moon, they suddenly saw our beautiful blue planet emerged from the far side of the moon. That was the first time, they beheld our beautiful delicate planet suspended in darkness against the lifeless Rocky moon. They discovered our earth instead. And the one photograph they took of the Earth Rise that day, was so powerful it stopped the continuation of a war. It started the global environmental movement. So what happened that day? Humanity for the first time felt that this delicate earth, our beautiful home had to be protected from harm at any cost. It was like a mother's love and protective feeling when she holds her new born baby. She feels such affection for her baby, she vows she would do anything to protect her. 22nd April is Earth day. The earth is our mother who breathes life into us and who sustains us and who holds our bodies in her bosom even after we die. The earth is also our child whom we need to protect from harm. It is our earth. The past days we have been journeying through spiritual evolution during crisis. Let us take our evolution further to avoid a future planetary crisis. Spirituality is synonymous with awareness. Awareness of our Perception & emotion in our inner world and Awareness of our action and its impact in the outer world. Starting today, let us begin a revolutionary practice to preserve, to protect, to nurture the one home for all living beings - ‘PRACTICING SUSTAINABILITY AT HOME’The practice begins with a simple awareness - the awareness of the interconnection of all life. I believe this knowing serves as a foundation for a better, more harmonious earth. This understanding is also essential for any acts of compassion. Each week, let us connect to one generous act for Mother Earth and offer gratitude. Return her kindness with your action of sustainability. There are many simple acts of sustainability that everyone can practice at home. If you found practicing sustainability challenging, it’s not because you can’t live otherwise, but because we did not live the earth enough. It is because we did not realise the impending danger that may strike all of us. Dear young people of the world, let us make practising sustainability at home, a massive revolution. Please share with us every idea you have for every human being to make small shifts, meaningful shifts and joyful shifts that would make our own lives and our earth more beautiful. Let each of us do our part. What are your ideas for "practising sustainability at home?" Please share with us. We will explore one idea every week. Namaste
Do you want love to stay and continue in your relationships? Is there love in all this? It seems to be a battle for egoic supremacy.
Question - I feel my partner prioritises her desires more than our family. This is leading to a big rift in our relationships. I am not able to accept it. Can you please guide us?
Every idea or opinion you have about your partner is only your view; and a view that keeps changing; it is not the absolute truth.
If you realised this, there can be room for love to take birth between you.
To form a view or opinion on your partner, based on your life experiences is natural. But when you hold on to your perceptions with rigidity, without being open to any other perception, you become intolerant.
You become judgemental. You become insensitive to your partner. You don’t care for their feelings .
All you want to do is reinforce your view that “you were right” in the opinion you had about the other. And you want them to accept it. And you want the world to accept that you were right!
Is there love in all this? It seems to be a battle for egoic supremacy.
To believe that your ideas and your opinions are the only truth, is like being a Koopastha Mandooka.
You are like a frog that was born and raised in a well.
Such a frog assumes that there is no larger expanse of water other than the well in which it lives.
If any other creature said otherwise, that creature was a liar or was an enemy.
To this frog the sea is a lie; the lake is a myth; the river is an untruth.
Are not your rigid ideas and opinions of your partner a result of absence of love?
Don’t assume that your view of the other is the ultimate View.
Understand that, if only you are willing to let go of your rigid view, can there be room for love between you.
Such an understanding will spur you to go beyond your rigid views and prompt both of you to evolve into a greater relationship that is filed with love.
Let us now move into a reflection
Please invite your partner to join you in this reflection too.
• Sit together in a comfortable posture and close your eyes.
Inhale deeply through your nose and exhale slowly through your mouth in total awareness, 7 times.
• Reflect on any one conflicting situation you both run into repeatedly.
• Observe the ideas and opinions you hold about that situation.
• Every time you get stuck in your views, your responses to your partner are egoistic, stubborn and unwise.
• These compulsive reactions rob love from your relationship; don’t they?
• Now take a deep breath into your heart. Is there something beautiful about this person that your heart can see, once this prejudice is gone. What would that be?
• This might be a beautiful time for both of you to hold each other’s hands. Ask the universe to help you connect from the heart beyond these differences.
Namaste. Have a beautiful day in a beautiful state
Sri Krishnaji's guidance to young people to emerge into Heart Leaders for tomorrow.
Let me ask this question to young people.
What do you feel when you see someone who is very different from you?
What do you feel when you see someone who has different color of skin, or is a part of a different peer group?
What do you feel when you see someone who has a different dress sense from or has different values ?
Do you give in to instant judgment? Do you give into dislike? Do you give in to discomfort? Do you tend to isolate them from you?
Look around you- look at all the mindless violence around you, people being chased on the streets. People being pelted. People being insulted and abused.
All over the world- people of one color, hurt people of another color.
People of one class hate people of another class.
People of one religion hate people of another religion.
This is because we have very primitive minds that considers anyone different as a threat.
Even at home the older siblings alienate the younger sibling, because they are different in age.
Research shows that in an atmosphere of stress, the brain becomes less friendly towards anything that is different and unfamiliar.
That is why social alienation is practised more in organisations that are very competitive.
That is why in times like today when there is a widespread anxiety; communal violence and racial violence have a tendency to flare up.
It does not require you to be older to understand this. Even young children have gone through the painful experience of alienation at schools and play grounds. Discrimination and separation is hurtful, no matter how you show it.
We are the only species on earth that hurts its own species on the basis of skin colour or diversity in appearance.
We as a species share almost 2 million years of evolutionary history. We share the same human experience.
When are we going to realise that we are a part of this ocean of one humanity? Genetically, neurologically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually, we are inseparable from each other.
I believe that if you have to emerge into world citizens, if you have to emerge into a new generation of human beings, - you must learn to dissolve your dislike of ‘the different'. Learn to love, respect and accommodate 'the different'.
You must be watchful. You must take the responsibility to stem violence where ever you see.
And if you are the one who is being marginalised, do not ever be afraid of being different. Be different with dignity. Be different with courage.
I want you to be different with an awareness that underneath all these differences, we all fundamentally feel the same feelings and have the same desires.
This rooting in compassion will prepare and transform you into an extra ordinary heart leader for tomorrow.
Experience surreal peace and a beautiful state of consciousness at Ekam.Namaste
Let me talk to you about a few of the many mystic secrets of Ekam Kshetra - The Oneness Field today.
Ekam kshetra, is the divine play field where grace overpowers fate.
Here, problems give way for the birth of an extraordinary destiny.
Most people know that Ekam means - One.
Some know that Ekam means - Oneness.
But we named this divine kshetra after a revelation happened to Preethaji.
The word "Ekam" refers to the highest state of non-dual consciousness that can be experienced while in the human body.
Do you know why we call Ekam a kshetra? Because the special power in this land called us. It had waited for centuries to hold Ekam.
Ekam Kshetra is one of the 3 sacred spaces on earth, that has the most extraordinary grid lines conducive to draw infinite cosmic energies into it. That is why, it is a field; a kshetra and not any ordinary piece of land.
Ekam is the only temple in the world dedicated to the worship of Hiranya Garbha as extolled in the Rig Veda.
Hiranya Garbha is the primordial form of the divine in which matter and consciousness, space and time all co-existed before creation emerged from it; where one became the many as we see the universe today.
It is from the Hiranya garbha that every other form of the divine emerged.
Ekam is constructed based on the design of a 800 year old revelation. It is built as a 3 dimensional Surya Yantra. Every morning, when the first rays of the sun touch the Amruta kalasha of Ekam, every inch of the sacred ground gets charged with celestial energy.
Here you receive 3 blessings.
At Ekam, you have a direct experience of the divine, in the form you worship emerging from the Hiranya Garbha. You connect to your personal divine and experience intuition, when it comes to the important decisions of your life.
When you stay for 3 days or more at Ekam Kshetra, and go through the Upasanas and siddhis, you dissolve obstacles on your path. The path to manifesting your sincere and heartfelt intentions gets cleared.
When you go through the pranoupaasanaas at Ekam kshetra, your kundalini rises and you experience surreal peace. You experience beautiful states of consciousness.
When this period of seclusion is over, and you are free to travel, make sure you make it to Ekam Kshetra - The Oneness Field, to spend a few days in this divine power place. It will be the best start to a beautiful life.
Addressing your inner state vs merely fighting for freedom. The entire Humanity is in fear, that is the state from which we need to find freedom. We need to become free of our fear, not free of our home or free of our husband or wife or children
Seeker: It looks like this continuous staying at home, not going out not mixing with people not doing what we want to do feels like a total loss of freedom. with all this talk of vaccination and monitoring every human being what i fear is our privacy is getting lost what do you have to say Sri Krishnaji ?
Freedom is a very funny concept. whether you are inside the house or outside the house we as human beings have always felt that we don’t have freedom. So this is just a big excuse that we are coming up, know this is basically physical movement, and all the pleasures of life has basically stopped. , and to put it in spiritual terms escape from suffering has basically stopped. The problem is home and you are stuck at home now. so you are facing your worst problem which is more than corona virus itself. I think many people in the world will be saying to themselves, you know what, let me have corona rather than staying with my wife, children and all these people around that’s happening. so, you see people taking out marches saying that we want freedom, we want to be out of our homes.
I think freedom is a very funny concept. its nothing to do with whether you are at home or you are outside home. Then some people have this concept of freedom that I better leave the planet and I go somewhere else. so, where does it stop? Its more of an inner state. Freedom is , you need to find freedom from suffering state. Its not getting out of the house.
The previous question which basically said, the entire humanity is in fear that is the state from which we need to find freedom. We need to become free of our fear, not free of our home or free of our husband or wife or children and keep running out. that’s not freedom. That’s just escape. But unfortunately if you do that now and you get corona virus and you will move into double fear or triple fear or fear to the power of 10 or 20 which is even more dangerous. Because this virus can get serious.
Always humanity has been fighting for some kind of freedom, we actually do not know what freedom we want and from what we want freedom we do not even know that. We just keep fighting for freedom.
so, privacy yes, privacy is a big issue but unfortunately we seem to be getting into problems in such a way that we keep losing our privacy. We either keep losing our privacy because of problems or we keep losing our privacy because of greed.
You take facebook and instagram the people around the world are finding some kind of a freedom on those platforms. So then you want to find freedom on those platforms you obviously loose your freedom. you lose your privacy, so I think again privacy is a very funny concept. todays world there is no privacy at all. with or without corona there is no privacy. Because I am told in New York if you walk for 5 minutes, you are taken like 24 pictures, 26 pictures?
After those terrorist attacks. so, you are constantly being recorded, you are constantly being monitored where you are going, what you are doing,
Today’s technology, once you have this smartphone its over. They can turn on your cameras, they can turn on your mike, you know this. they can do anything and everything. there is no question of any freedom or privacy anymore in our lives. So all these are funny concepts that we should be coming out of.
I think the most serious issue that we should be addressing is our state.
When it strikes you that you are molding your own life, then the universe will support you with the right solutions. See you at our Breathing Room App.
Sri Preethaji leads you on a practice to correct your sleep patterns and heal your body and enlivening your 3 subtle energies.
Let us ask ourselves - WHAT HAVE WE LOST BECAUSE OF OUR ANGER?An angry mind is exactly like this monkey's mind.
The more you are thrashed by life, the more tightly you will cling on to your anger.
BEYOND ANGER MANAGEMENT
In rural India there is a way of catching mischievous monkeys that come to steal from homes.
They deliberately leave some very aromatic desserts in a tiny hole in a tree.
The monkey gets excited smelling the desserts, and squeezes its hand through the tiny hole and gets hold of the delicious dessert.
But the hole is too small for it to get
it's closed fist out.
The monkey struggles to get its hand out of the hole, but will not let go of the dessert and so is stuck.
And the villagers easily come and catch it. They keep it tied for a day or two and leave it in the near by forests. The terrified monkey does not easily come back into the village after that.
That's how it is with anger. You hold onto your anger and refuse to let go of it, until you commit enough wrong actions - and utter enough wrong words, that will lead you to getting a beating from life.
An angry mind is exactly like this monkey's mind.
The more you are thrashed by life, the more tightly you will cling on to your anger. Because each time you receive a blow from life like losing your respect, losing a job, losing your health, losing an opportunity, losing a friendship or losing your wealth because of your wrong actions. your anger only grows towards the person with whom you were originally angry.
You blame the other for all your problems. You refuse to see, that it is your holding on to anger and your wrong actions that is givng you the beating, not what the other did to you years or months ago.
Remember, anyone can hurt you once, can hurt you ten times, or forty times but what hurts you the most is yourself; it is you who hurt yourself every time you move into anger.
When you are in anger, if i asked you - who is hurting you the most? Your fingers would only point in the direction of someone else. They would never point in the direction of your own angry mind.
Just as until the monkey, chooses to let go of the dessert, it has no freedom.
Unless, you make the decision to let go of your habit of blaming the other, there is no freedom for you from the one who hurt you.
You are not free to love again.
For a few moments, stop blaming someone else. Stop blaming yourself too. Calmly reflect how much you have lost because of your angry thoughts, angry words and angry actions.
Awakening of kundalini through divine grace to move into powerful states of consciousness.
Your loving listening can heal the hearts of others; what they are looking for is an experience of compassion.**It is like a constant game of - you be in my life, but, maintain a distance. You be with me, but don’t get too close.
WHY CAN’T YOU TRUST SOMEONE’S LOVE?
Why is it so hard for two people who know each other very well to live together peacefully?
Common sense says it must be easy. Common sense also says, we simply need to be helpful and civil to each other. That is all.
But is it that simple? If it were so, why do parents and children incessantly argue? Why do couples misunderstand each other so easily? Why can’t we tolerate the elderly?**
Let us understand.
**Every human being is a wounded person. We are wounded and hurt by our parents, by school and by society. We each may have many bitter experiences in the past.
When you loved someone in the past, be it a friend you trusted, a boy friend or a girl friend, a sibling or a parent, and were disappointed by that person, you become wounded.
Even if you have practically moved on, the wound internally lingers in your consciousness.
You become like the Tenali Rama’s cat that refuses to drink anything white, because it’s tongue was burnt earlier while drinking milk.**
To trust and to feel safe feels very difficult. Therefore you become extremely cautious and untrusting.
**You will still want people in your life, not because you love them, but because you fear being lonely. It is like a constant game of - you be in my life, but, maintain a distance. You be with me, but don’t get too close.
We are afraid of being wounded and wounding others with our anger.**
We are scared of our own loneliness and that we will be disappointed with our partners. We as human beings have been on the run from each other , we have been running from our own selves too.
You are terrified you may ruin your own life with disappointments and loneliness.
This time of seclusion and compulsive living alone or with your families can actually help you come face to face with all this. Some wounds are unexplainable.
They even flow from previous lives. And you may for no reason develop a deep dislike towards some one.
You will have to become free of such a dislike too. Otherwise this samskara will continue to flow into your next life and will continue to haunt you.
How do we begin our journey towards healing ourselves and healing others? The only way is compassion- to be able to feel yourself and to be able to feel the other.
You will have compassion for each other only when you realise that just the way that you are wounded, the other too is wounded in life. No ne is an exception to these wounds.
If this seed of initial compassion, can take root within you, you will engage in loving conversation. You will listen to the other with an intention of feeling their pain, not to prove your goodness, not to prove your rightness to them.
If you simply opened your heart and listened to what is hurting someone, that very loving listening can heal them.
When your partner or child moves into an anger outburst in the middle of your conversation, most of the times, they are not asking for answers or for solutions.
What they are actually looking for is an experience of connection and compassion. They want you to listen, they want you to feel them.
Something magical happens when you listen with compassion for another. You heal and they heal too.
Try it and see.
Why are so many young people moving into depression?
Depression begins in the mind, before it becomes a problem in the brain. And the good news is that you can heal your brain by healing your mind. At the core of depression is a battle with oneself. If we do not make peace with ourselves, we will inadvertently criticise everything about ourselves: our appearance, our status, our home and family, our life itself. When we are not at peace; we are at war. We are divided against our own selves.
At the root of our inner conflict is the habit of incessant commentary, a commentary which divides every experience of our lives into “should be” or “should not be.” It is this habit that drives us to comparison. It is this habit that drives us to inner war. When you look at your body, you do not see it as it is; you comment on every inch of it as it should be or should not be. When you are with your family, you are not present to it as it is; you comment on every member as should be this way or should not be this way. When you enter your home, you do not relish it; you comment on it as should have been bigger or smaller or should not have been bigger or smaller. When you get to work, you are not filled with a sense of purpose. You are not filled with a sense of creativity; you judge every day as I should have been elsewhere or I should have not been here. You walk around with a nagging inner critic, a critic inside your own head. You become your own enemy. To end this war within yourself means to become an observer of your inner state. When you emerge into being an observer, all commentaries become redundant and fall away from you like dried leaves. They get carried away in the river of awareness. A deep sense of calm, a deep sense of joy radiates from your being. In this magnificent state of consciousness, every failure is assimilated, without the need to blame oneself or another. Every defeat is accepted without the need to justify oneself or condemn another. Other people’s words and statements do not become your way of looking at yourself or your way of looking at your body. You are comfortable with your angry self, with your jealous self, and your lonely self. There is no part of you that you perceive as wrong. You are at ease with the entirety of yourself. You are healed; you are whole.

The mystic dynamic behind meditation explained
Question : what is the basis of meditation? It sometimes feels spooky; sometimes more like a fad that people want to display.
Should I begin the practice at all and where?
Sri Preethaji:
Meditation is not a fad or a fashion. It is an ancient science that was cultivated in the India for thousands of years. While the West cultivated prayer for centuries; in the India millions of people dedicated their entire lives to the study and the pursuit of meditation and consciousness.
Take the terracotta seals found in the Indus valley civilisation. These seals are nearly 7,000 years old or even older. They show case yogis in proper Meditation postures.
While people may pursue meditation for numerous reasons, to us it is a path to move away from stressful states of mind to beautiful states of being.
The meditations that Krishnaji and I teach are easy and powerful, they are also scientific and spiritual, yogic and universal.
While there may be many basis for meditation, our meditations are built on what we call “The Transformation Triad” of Breath-Mind-Consciousness.
Let me give you a simple understanding of the Transformation triad.
Our Meditations built on the Transformation triad take you beyond helplessness to calm, clarity and connection- To health, vitality and vigour.
Most meditations out there use only one or two of these three elements. We use an approach that integrates all three.
Each of the 3 can act as a tool to shift the other two elements.
Let us say, you are experiencing angry thoughts and are not able to free yourself using the mind itself. Working your way through breath could be a path. This is breath impacting the mind. So you may start with breath-based practices.
Let us say, you are gripped by anxiety, your breath would be erratic and short. And the more your breath is out of harmony, your anxiety would go out of charts. As you move into a meditative observation of your anxiety, you would notice your breath become easy, slow and even. Your entire body moves away from stress into deep relaxation. This is the mind impacting your breath and your body. If you are open to it, you may begin with observation-based practices.
By the same token, when your consciousness transforms and you experience a beautiful state of connection beyond your limited self, the arising of anger, fear or sadness itself is minimised. This is consciousness impacting the mind.
Here is something I would want you to remember.
•Relax your body through meditation - it heals.
•Observe your mind in meditation– it calms.
•Awaken to an experience of connection beyond the self in consciousness - you become liberated.
If you are still looking for a reason to meditate let me tell you this - Meditation impacts us physically, chemically, neurologically and emotionally.
And Why don't you begin with the soul sync practice - a meditation that beautifully integrates the Transformation triad and helps you break free of negative emotions. It would be a great starting point. All it takes is 10 minutes to do it. Try practising soul sync meditation for 21 days in a row on our Breathing room Meditation app and you will see the tremendous impact.
There are a 100 delightful meditation practices on our Breathing room Meditation app.
I suggest you take a walk through our app.
Ultimately To experience a wonderful Meditation is like taking a plunge into the warm waters of the sea, instead of analysing how it would be if you got into water by sitting on the beach. There is no way of knowing a thing until you get in to it.
(Preethaji leads people into Soul sync meditation)
Sri Krishnaji guides you on dissolving anxiety and from a state of stillness find intelligent solutions.
Let me assure you you will come out of this crisis soon going in to fear is not a solution for any problem
Pranams Sri Krishnaji & Sri Preethaii i am Rajeev from Sri Lanka,
My question is many lost their jobs and have no hope about how its going to be. Also no idea how to recover from this breakdown which is leading in increase of stress and suffering also as youth we need to have a word of hope to perceive things positively. And Prepare ourselves for the next move when the situation gets into control. How to see this situation as an opportunity to rise back
Let us now get on to the spiritual plane to answer your questions.
If as a young person you want to use the currents of this crisis to rise higher in life, you must hold on to one central insight. You must realise that "a problem is different from suffering". And that problems need not keep you in suffering.Let us go into it. Problems are external challenges and hardships. What you are speaking about is an economic problem.
When this economic problem hit you, it is likely you went into panic or anxiety. This is natural.
This anxiety, panic or sadness is internal. It is a mind state. This unpleasant and painful inner experience is what we call suffering.
If you can dissolve the suffering state of anxiety and come to a state of inner stillness, you will find intelligent solutions to your problems.
It is only from this state of stillness you will be able to connect to the universal intelligence or the divine. When you are connected to the universal intelligence, Intuition will flow through you on what your future direction should be.
As a mystic I can also assure you that if you dissolve your anxiety, move into a beautiful state of connection and truly yearn to make a difference to others through your career, the universe will come together to support you.
So as the first step, go ahead and do the serene mind practice.
Dissolve your suffering and you can cut through your problem.
It is true these are tough times.
Many have lost their jobs,
many people’s savings have dwindled,
many companies have fallen in their value and this is a global scenario. It is not just in India, Sri Lanka, China or United States, Australia or Europe. This is happening everywhere.
But let me assure you, we will come out of this crisis soon.
Going into fear is not a solution for any problem.
This crisis can be an extraordinary opportunity for world leaders and economists to come up with economic systems and structures that are built on real Wealth.
This crisis is a proof to all of us - how fragile, how hollow and gaseous our financial structures are and how easily they can be destroyed. One virus infestation for less than two months and nations have become so much poorer. It is unfortunate.
I am not an economist. But as a philosopher I have the faith that the world's leaders will become wiser and come up with more sustainable economic solutions.
A glimpse into learning and understanding that we are a part of a living universe; and how to communicate with consciousnessYour state is the signal you are sending out into the vast all pervasive fabric of consciousness to draw either chaos or order into your life.
If you are living in a stressful state or suffering states, it means you are signalling consciousness that you are open to problems or opening yourself or your life to chaos.
If you are living in a beautiful state, it means you are signalling consciousness that you are open to solutions and order in your life.
Firstly let us understand that this universe is a living universe. It is a conscious universe.
There is an immense communication that is going on all the time within each life from, and from one life form to another life form, and from various life forms to the whole.
Within the human body, there is communication going on between the cells through the various enzymes and the neuro peptides. A perfect state of communication between the various cells and the enzymes is what you call as health.
Between one species and another species there is a non-verbal communication going on. In the wild, when a tiger or a lion is full in its tummy and is lazy, the deer and zebras graze quite close to them. But when the lion or the tiger is hungry, these animals keep or maintain a respectful distance from them.
How does this happen?
There is a communication going on in an invisible field.
The earth communicates to the trees, the trees communicate to their fellow trees and they also communicate to the mushrooms on the forest floor.
There are certain kinds of ferns that grow in the hills near Ekam. The spores of these ferns open up only when a certain kind of birds sing.
If they entire universe is communicating – how are we the human beings communicating to this magical field of consciousness?
We do not communicate through our words. We do not communicate through our actions and mannerisms. With the universe we communicate through our state of consciousness.
Your state is the signal you are sending out into the vast all pervasive fabric of consciousness. You draw chaos or order into your life.
You may get trained in speaking very sweet words and probably very dignified behaviour, but if your inner state is screaming of suffering, then that is what you are communicating to the universe. You are signalling to the universe that you are opening your life to chaos and problems. Similarly when you are in a beautiful state, you are wordlessly communicating to the universe that you are open to order, that you are open to solutions.
A wisdom lesson for every parent to help their children with shame around their bodies. What do you say to your children about their appearance? What have you been telling them over the years- both in moments of anger, in moments of fun and moments of love? To reflect on this is very important, because your words and comments become your child's way of looking at herself or himself.Every child has three major influences in their life - parents , school and friends. As your child grows older, he or she tends to prioritise one, over the other. But remember, the influence of the parent over the child is supreme and continues to influence them through out their life. Your child can overcome with some support, a negative comment made by a teacher or a friend- but if you as a parent made a negative remark it would hurt him or her the most.Biological parents or people who stood in the position of parents become mirrors for children, to see themselves. If you judged them as not good looking, fat, lean, short, dark or too white - that becomes their inner judgement and a way of looking at themselves. If you made them feel beautiful, if you loved their nose, their hands, their head, their eyes, their dark or fair complexion, their thin or fat bodies - with that special kind of love which only a loving parent or grandparent can give - that becomes their way of looking at themselves. Your love becomes a strength for them to conquer life’s challenges as they grow up.Do you know that there is an interesting data on people and their impression of their appearance?- More than 80% of people see themselves as being less beautiful, than how others see them to be.Shame around the body is one of the biggest reasons for depression today, in people of all age groups through out the world. So, what is the solution?A massive spiritual shift has to happen in family cultures, from the way body is being judged, to a space of care and respect for the body. Most people obsess over their bodies - All the time commenting , criticising, fussing and meddling with every part of the body- from the shape, size and colour of their toe nails to the shape, length, width, curvature and colour of their nose.Extreme obsession and judgement, over one's body appearance creates unhappy and insecure human beings. I have seen many people who are obsessed over their bodies. they constantly keep judging their bodies, and the result is that they are perpetually unhappy. To overcome this, they go through many cosmetic procedures and yet are unhappy. Because the truth is that in spite of all this, your body and face will continue to age. We have to understand, that we cannot find our happiness through perfecting our body appearance. We have to realize that physical beauty is not permanent and that human body is not static. This is the truth. We must teach our children to respect their bodies and learn to care for them.To help your child, you have to begin the journey with yourself. So, I am leaving you with a question :-“What is your judgement of your body?”Namaste
Learn the ancient secrets of parenting to create your children into happy and conscious leaders.
Free your heart of violence. Make your home a heaven. In whichever family the woman is disrespected and violated, in whichever family a girl child is violated that family can never prosper. They will lose their abundance.
Domestic violence during global crisis
Our current global crisis has taken many lives and many businesses.
This is obvious.
What is not visible to the naked eye, is the silent torture, that is going on in families all over the world.
Sadly domestic violence is on the rise in every Nation.
Often times, domestic violence is perpetrated by men. And during this period of lockdown, these men who are prone to violence are not going out for work.
Many of them are addicts of some kind.
Their frustration at being quarantined, and not being able to give in to their addictions, is being shown on innocent children and women.
I would ask every perpetrator of violence to introspect, and to break free of their inner aggression.
This would be the right time to do it.
No human being is born violent. Violence is not the true nature of any human being. It is an aberration that could have set in due to numerous reasons.
The first reason could be, that you have over the years allowed the fire of anger, the fire of suspicion and the fire of jealousy to grow in you, and consume you.
Is this your problem? Please reflect and see the truth. There is no shame in ever seeing the truth. It will transform you.
The second reason could be that you have a deep hunger to be loved, and you don't know how to fill your heart with love. You have somewhere equated love with control and having total authority over the other.
You want to own your partner or your children or daughter-in-law, like you own a piece of furniture.
This is something you must understand—Absolute obedience is never love; it is slavery.
Love is only possible between 2 people who respect each other.
When you hurt a person emotionally and physically, what they feel for you is fear or anger.
Love cannot arise in the heart of someone, in whom you have put fear. It cannot arise if you have insulted them.
If you want to be loved, it is never late, take the time- heal the hearts of people you have hurt.
Please reflect -Are you giving in to violence because you are hungry for love, and don't know how to find it, or, are you ashamed to ask for it with dignity and respect?
I want you to know this secret of consciousness - In whichever family the woman is disrespected and violated, in whichever family a girl child is violated- that family can never prosper. They will lose their abundance. They will not receive the grace of the divine.
If you really want to transform, take this step today.
Sit together with your family. Hold each others hands without shyness.
Ask the divine to bless you and your family, to live with peace and love, and to heal your hearts of all anger and bitterness.
With this prayer in your heart, You may either listen to this chant, or chant along.
You will certainly find the beginning of a great change in your life.
The mantra is Hamsa Sohan Ekam, which at its simplest level means I am in the devine, the divine is in me, we are one.
Later in the day, you may also want to take sometime and apologise to your loved ones, if you have ever been violent with them.
And it becomes important that as a family, you forgive and support anyone in the family who wants to transform, and is making an effort to grow.

Sri Preethaji guides you on a simple 3-step practice that will cut through negativity and wire your brain to positivity
This simple practice you will cut through negativity and wire are your brain to positivity
Breaking addiction to negative emotions
Most people I meet are addicted, they are habituated to some negative emotions or the other. Some know they are habituated and some don't know.
Three common states people make in to a habit are anger related states like irritation, frustration or road - rage.
Some give in to fear related states such as tension, stress, anxiety or even panic.
Some others give in to sadness related states such as loneliness, dullness, insecurity or depression.
But these emotions too are habits - like eating sweets, like talking too much, or gossiping or like consuming too much alcohol. These emotions too are habits.
And you have to break them. Because every addiction - makes you unintelligent and they hurt you and hurt others around you.
Every sensible human being must set themselves free of addictions to negative emotions.
If during this period of seclusion, you give in to negative emotions - by the time you emerge out of this period of seclusion, it would have become a habit in you.
Remember, FREEDOM IS A CHOICE AND ONLY THE WISE MAKE IT.
To come out of negative emotions, you need to have some Scientific understanding of the human brain. The human brain has a tremendous attraction for the negative. It is like velcro for anything that is negative, Funnily it's also like Teflon. It's like non stick for positive. Brain is trained to remember something that is unpleasant for millions of years to ensure survival. But our mental health today is getting affected today because of this very habit. We are not in fear today because a dinosaur is chasing us.
Our negative emotions Are because we are caught in many movies about the past and the future in our heads. and the part of the brain that actually triggers and feeds on negativity that what is the amygdala. The more you engage in negative mental movies, amygdala becomes extremely neurologically active. It actually swells inside. We have to shift that activity from the amygdala to the prefrontal cortex to the front of the brain which is where the logical thinking happens, balance and practicality is possible. To be in the present moment is possible and to decluch ourselves from these movies is possible.
It is only by being in the present you can solve any problem.
This shift from Amydala to the prefrontal cortex can only happen if you push your brain Into observation.
Can you simply observe and name whichever emotion is arising within you? Aha this is anger. This is anxiety. Or this is sadness.
You don’t need to try change these emotions or try come out of them. Simply observe them. Like you are seeing old friends enter your home.
Aha! There you are- anxiety, Welcome back. That is all.
And then- shift your awareness to your eyebrow centre and see a tiny flame there.
Can you do this simple practice for your mental health?
This simple practice and you will cut through negativity and wire your brain to positivity.
Find solutions to your problems, heal relationships and create abundance by learning the 3 Consciousness laws
Learn from Sri Preethaji on two states of consciousnessUnderstanding the Chit Shakti -the power of consciousness, Is like understanding say, the ocean currents, So you can navigate the boat of your life with ease.
CHIT SHAKTI
Let me now talk to you a little about Ekam - it is the ground on which I am sitting right now which is getting streamed to you. Sunrise is a very special time at Ekam.
Ekam is built in the ancient mystical 3 dimensional energy form of surya or the sun.
Every morning as the sun’s rays hit the sanctum of Ekam, powerful energies course through it and radiate out into the world.
Ekam is a mystic powerhouse. It is a unique structure that combines the earth’s energies and the cosmic energies creating a powerful field within itself. Anyone who meditates inside the sanctum of Ekam will be able to access the powerful field of energy and effortlessly immerse deep into transcendence.
The ancients in India called consciousness as Chit.
Today as we delve into the power of consciousness let us understand Chit Shakti - the power of consciousness.
Understanding the Chit Shakti -the power of consciousness, Is like understanding say, the ocean currents, So you can navigate the boat of your life with ease. So you can take advantage of both tides – you can take advantage of the low tide as well as the high tide.
To understand Chit -Shakti, let us realize a simple and yet a profoundly transforming insight from Krishnaji,
Krishnaji says- All human beings only experience life from two states of being- a suffering state or a beautiful state. There is no third state of being. And the most important decision of our life is from which state do we want to live and experience our life.
Let me explain what a beautiful state is. These are flow states, it could be experience of joy, gratitude, courage, peace, love, serenity etc
And if we look at suffering states- these are states in which you experience an inner disturbance. You experience agitation within yourself and they are states where you experience friction. It could be anger, anxiety, loneliness, sadness, depression, insecurity or guilt.
Whether you are in a beautiful state or a suffering state - the test is your experience of life. Does the experience of your life feel like a flow or does it feel stressful and hurting.
The first experience of these states is felt in how you experience life- whether you feel life is a blessing or you feel life is a burden.
The second impact of these states is you see it in your decisions, in your choices, the actions and consequences you will create in your life.
The third impact of these states is they affect the sequence of events that unfold in your life. They either bring chaos or they bring order into your life.
**Many of these people could have walked out fearing their own lives but they stayed, they stayed.
Hi Preethaji and krishnaji thank you so much for taking questions. One of the things that I have really been thinking about and I know a lot of other people are too is just thinking how can I help? all we see lot of what is helpful right now is staying home and I think that’s something that lot of people certainly myself are familiar with. Normally when disaster strikes we are used to going and volunteering and doing lot of things . But right now the way to help is by not doing anything . So how can we , but of course there are things that we can do may be not we are used to doing , so perhaps you can speak to what somebody wants to help can do during this moment even if they have to do it from their homes.
Namaste,**
You are asking me what you can do from home? You can make a world of difference.
Look around you with your eyes and your heart. Many countries of the world have encouraged their citizens to go into seclusion for more reasons than one.
We are in this seclusion so our governments can equip hospitals better if the viral outbreak becomes bigger once we start moving around.
We are also in seclusion so we don't catch it and spread it and we can give a breather to our health care professionals and frontliners.
Now, you asked me what can you do?
This is what preethaji and I would want every student of the academy, every seeker who has come to ekam, every Deeksha giver to do.
Support the health care professionals and frontliners around you - The doctors, nurses and the staff who work in every capacity in hospitals and the roads.
If you truly felt them from your heart, you will know they too have families, they too have babies or young children or elderly parents back home.
They too have anxiety over what can happen to their families if something terrible happens to them. So many of these people could have walked out fearing their own lives but they stayed, they stayed to protect us and save us. Not because they are not afraid, they stayed inspite of their fear.
These health care staff and other frontliners are putting their safety and their lives in the line, to ensure our survival. The least we can do is reach out to them or their families by phone if they are in your neighbourhood. Ask them if they need your assistance anyway and support them. Thank them and their families. Let them know how much their service means to you.
Many of them are working 18 hour shifts. Their faces are bruised behind with the masks. They are sick with fatigue. They are finding their joy in saving the lives of our loved ones, when we cannot even be next to them to care for them.
Hold a prayer for them in your hearts like you would pray for your own mother, father or child.
Remember prayers offered from a space of gratitude and compassion are very powerful. They do evoke a response from the universe.
Let us connect to them from our hearts.
Close your eyes for a few moments.
Touch your heart with your palm.
Think of the medical fraternity and people on various fronts serving selflessly .
Let your heart open.
Feel their environment - with so many sick people rushing in all the time - running around,-caring, feeding, cleaning, treating, curing, maintaining order.
Feel deeply grateful to them and thank them in your heart.
Now ask the divine to bless them and to keep them and their loved ones safe.
Finally see yourself reaching out to them and helping their families.
Please open your eyes.
Now go forward and act from your own homes. Take any action that comes from your heart.
LIVING TOGETHER IN LOCKDOWNOnly from not knowing can something totally new emerge; not from old ground of knowing. Namaste ji, I am Neetu from Bangalore. We are going crazy staying at home without a work, a travel and meeting our friends to occupy ourself. We are actually mentally feeling sick. Can please help us? PranamsThis is maddening. This is boring. This is painful. This is like a punishment. How can this period of seclusion how can this period of solitude be a punishment? look at every religion, whether it is the Buddha, the Christ, the sages of India- All chose seclusion they chose seclusion deliberately at the most crucial periods of their life. Look at every great inventor. Technology giants like Bill Gates or Steve Jobs – they deliberately moved away from the humdrum of every day meetings, every day travel and every day activity. Every day life moves according to the clock; isn't it? Not waiting for anyone else - it is relentless it is mechanical. These geniuses deliberately gave a periodic break to everyday mechanics and moved into seclusion for a radical change in circumstances. Today nature has blessed you with such a break. Like the ancients say - langhanam paramoushadham- which means fasting is the ultimate cure - you are abstaining from every day crazy running right now This period of seclusion can be a time for great creativity in your life. It can be a wonderful time for healing the hearts of your loved ones and to find true connection. It can be a time to rethink the meaning of your life – to think about what truly matters in life and to move away from all the non essentials. Neurologically your brain has gone through the same repeated experiences it is the same experience of waking up the same time, hurrying the same way, rushing through breakfast the same way, running to work the same way. It has been a very predictable life, other than some repeated ,predictable breaks during the weekend. It will be the same friends, same party, and probably the same movie time. In this seclusion your brain has hit a point of NOT KNOWING. it has hit a point of unpredictability. This is not a curse. This is an immense opportunity. Only from not knowing can something totally new emerge; not from old ground of knowing. This is a time for you to know yourself. To reinvent yourself. This time of seclusion and solitude can be an immeasurable blessing to rise to true greatness . Please utilise it.Share your Realisations Below
Four Langhanams For spiritual powerIf you want mental, emotional, spiritual and physical health you should practice 4 langhanams.
our ancients in India used one very simple principle. They called it - “Langanam paramaushadam” fasting is the ultimate medicine. i want all of you to Wait, before you come to any conclusions. and i want you all to Listen to the end.
if you want mental, emotional, spiritual and physical health you should practice 4 langhanams.
The first Langhanam is fasting food.
our ancients did not see the human body as an eating machine funnily many people in seclusion are engaging in nonstop eating. This kind of eating will only make you more sick and is going to make more prone to infections.
Eat only when your digestive fire actually burns and asks for it, not when your tongue asks. That will also give some break to who ever is cooking at home
Start eating only when your breath is flowing strongly through your right nostril; you can digest what you are eating most effectively when breath is flowing through your right nostril because of the solar energy flow. Practice any kind of fasting- you can practice intermittent fasting, water fasting, or soup fasting. Remember, even animals fast when they are sick or want to heal themselves. Langhanam can also be eating right. All immunoglobulins, which are antibodies to fight diseases are all proteins. Eating right will mean taking the right amount of protein into your diet to enhance immunity
The second langhanam is fasting breath.
Just as The more heat an engine produces the faster it burns out. Every cell is like an engine that is being powered, by the intake of breathe. The ancient yogis practised fasting of breath. they deliberately did slow inhalations and extremely long exhalations with breathe pauses. when you practise breath fasting, you will actually age slowly. Your thoughts begin to become more positive. You can more easily break away from negative thoughts.
The third langhanam is fasting hurtful and pessimistic speech.
Very few people have Vak- Shakti or the power of speech to manifest their goals. The more consciously you speak words that are true and cause joy to others in a very pleasing tone- your vak Shakti grows.
The final Langanam is fasting movement. It’s not about living down on your cushion, eating popcorn and watching TV. Fasting movement means sitting still, either observing your breath , listening to the sounds of nature or with the name of your divine being chanted inwardly. Sit still. Even if you can sit still even for 1 minute at a time. It will bring down the restlessness in your body, it will bring down the restlessness in your mind.
Langhanam or fasting is power. Try practising these 4 langhanams and you will feel great power in your body, mind and consciousness.
How are you all? we wish you are maintaining inner calm and peace through this crisis. Do you know if you looked at history, history is an incredible teacher for all of us if only we can learn from the repeated patterns it reveals to us. If we simply looked at 100 years of human history we will realise that economic crisis in the world is always artificial and is induced because of the exploitative tendency of human beings, which is us.
From greed is born exploitation. from exploitation arises economic depression,
To come out of economic depression the more powerful nation unfortunately takes recourse to war over weaker nations. as we all know War furthers creates divide; the richer nation's become richer and the poorer nation's become poorer.
Well, this brings us to the question of "what is greed?"
Greed is not about wanting to generate huge wealth. And as is popularly believed the opposite of greed is not contentment.
Choosing a frugal life, a simple life or choosing early retirement are all just life style choices it is not that you have become free of greed.
Greed is about generating wealth without a larger purpose to nourish the whole. Then wealth becomes a tool only for self centric pursuit. It is no more a means for creating symbiotic growth.
Wealth that is generated with the purpose of serving a larger purpose is always sacred. Such wealth serves the larger whole - your organisation, nation or the earth itself.
If as a race we have learnt anything better from history, we should resist the temptation of going for wars to build our falling economies because of the Corona global crisis . We should go forward towards creating technologies that are earth friendly. We should go forward towards creating economies that are not cancerous but economies that are sustainable. It is time for Governments of the world to rethink their economic structures. Unfortunately global economy has become too complex; and people’s life styles too have become complex and not easy to maintain.
It is time to be simplify. Only simplification can we find solutions to the existing problems.
It is time for a massive change.
This massive change it’s only possible when you can live from a connected state, from a connected consciousness that is why it is important to understand that we have to feel connected so that we will not take the route of going for war to revive our economies if we do not feel connected then that is the route most probably we will take.
Every individual should go for meaningful growth and not cancerous, greed driven growth. When your pursuit of wealth is born from greed, it will be cancerous. Like cancer you may grow your wealth very rapidly; but since it is born of self obsession and comparison, it will destroy you and your life like cancer.
Let us all remember this law of the universe- only that which contributes to the well-being of the whole thrives. That which is self serving and hurts the well being of the rest will perish.
The shift from exploitation to symbiosis must happen in our consciousness, it must happen at every level and most importantly at the family level too- it must happen in the way we serve and receive from our loved ones and our family members. Symbiosis is to joyfully support another’s growth, while you gratefully receive another’s support for your own growth. You live in the realisation of the interdependence and mutual well-being.
REFLECTION
Please take some time as an individual and reflect authentically-
have you been exploitative of any one in your life?

Get rid of anxiety due to financial insecurity
Namaste
we are on our fourth day together since we began this evolution series. I hope life is beautiful for all of you. Today let us talk about anxiety because anxiety is a state that most of humanity is living in today because of the coronavirus crisis. Sometimes crisis builds but most of the time crisis comes. It comes as an emergency situation. It can come as a health crisis, like the coronavirus now or it can come as a financial crisis, or a sudden change in the laws of the country, it can put your business in trouble and your business can start losing its value or what is happening now. It is sad to see millions are moving into a helpless situation of losing their jobs, companies cutting their salaries and most of the commodities are losing its value because they are going out of demand. Or it can come as a relationship crisis like losing someone that you love or like in times like now where all of us are forced to stay with each other between four walls and the challenge is our pent up anger, our years of frustration, it’s going to show up. And the challenge is how are we going to handle this without destroying our relationships? Crisis can come to all of us slowly or crisis can build itself slowly but when it hits you it is always sudden and life like you know it feels like it’s falling apart because you have no control of what’s going on, everything is happening suddenly you actually move into a tremendous state of anxiety. What happens usually is you move into panic. Panic then settles into long-term anxiety. And anxiety takes you away from the bigger vision of life and keeps you stuck in survival mode. All that you now care for is to survive. Your fear makes you get into places of uncertainty and you fear that things will go downhill from now. You stop trusting anyone. And you lose your inner spiritual power. And you move into a place of total lack. And all of this is self created fear for survival because you’ve lost the vision and purpose of life. In fact because of the suffering state, anxiety you are erecting too many blocks on this invisible plane of consciousness. You are communicating to the universal intelligence a wrong message, that you are not in a good state. Since you are communicating this to the universe you are going to create further problems in life. For having a beautiful life we misunderstand that we will have to live in a beautiful state and you will have to send out beautiful signals to the universe so that you can conquer any challenge and come out of your problems. Now staying in this state of anxiety is a curse that you are laying on yourself. We all need to wake up and rise above it. Over the next few days as you follow through on these precious lessons and short meditative journeys that Preethaji and I will lead you on, you will know how to conquer your anxiety, you will learn the secrets of the power of consciousness and find the strength to create a great life when you walk out of your homes when this crisis ends. Let me lead you into a powerful spiritual solution. Do this simple serene mind practice anytime you feel anxious it will break the habit of anxiety in your brain itself. Millions all over the world use this three minute practice, use this three minute meditation whenever they feel they are moving into anxiety. This practice is a great weapon that you can master. If you can teach it to someone else it would be an enormous service that you are doing for that person and it would bring about enormous blessing onto yourself and to your family members. All it takes is just three minutes to do this. Shall we do it now?
Beat your Boredom -By Sri Preethaji
**Everything is mechanistic. This is how life feels when we merely survive and are not living.
Do you know why?
Most people are bored to death in their homes. They are struggling with meaninglessness in their life sitting at home . Waking up is boring, talking to each other is boring, Spending time with children is boring , cooking is boring , cleaning is boring. .**
Everything is mechanistic. This is how life feels when we merely survive and are not living.
Do you know why?
It is because the Sacred has moved out of our lives.
How do we define what is sacred?
A thing becomes sacred when you realise it is irreplaceable. Your partner becomes sacred, when you feel that companionship is irreplaceable. Your children, your parents become sacred when you feel they are not things you can exchange and find a replacement.
The day you feel your work or career is irreplaceable, you will find fulfilment. Your work too has become sacred.
Let me ask you- do you feel that way about your career? If you do, then you are among those blessed people who will realise their greater destiny.
Do you feel that way about your relationships? If you do, then you feel whole within.
Sacredness arises when you feel a deep sense of Connection, instead of merely engaging in the act like a duty.
Let me explain this with the simple example of eating with sacredness.
Do you know ancient Indians would only eat when the stomach asked for food not when the tongue asked for it.
They ate only when they were hungry not when they were tempted -because they ate to feed their digestive fire in their bellies.
After the first sign of hunger was thrown up by the digestive fire, they check their breath. They waited for breath to flow through the right nostril before they sat down to eat.
Why? Let me explain it.
Do you know that we have more than 70000 Nadis or pranic veins through which our vital energy flows. Among these - three are prominent - Ida which carries the lunar current, pingala which carries the solar current and Sushumna which carries the earth‘s current and which gets transmuted into divine energy as it moves higher .
When Lunar energy flows through Ida - your breath flows through the left nostril.
When solar energy flows through Pingala breath flows through the right nostril.
These currents keep alternating every hour or less than that in our body.
When solar energy flows through Pingala and you eat at that time ,food gets digested easily and is obsorbed well by the body. That is why they checked their breath before eating.
Lastly they offered thanks to mother Earth for giving them food and offered a small portion of their food to the ants on earth and began eating .
Even behind the most mundane ordinary act of eating -there can be deep sacredness. Try eating even one meal a day this way and see it's impact on your health.
With this sense of the sacred, with this awareness of Connection, All acts of our daily life are no more mechanical chores driven by survival.
In the act of eating they were connected to their bodies.
they were connected to their energies.
they were connected to the earth and to her life forms.
It is only when you are awakened to the magnificent state of connection you experience the sacredness of life. You are truly living.
Healing Family's Hearts During the Lockdown**(If you want to heal your family, stop focusing on how different you are from them or how superior you are to them.)
Namaste**
For the first time in human history perhaps we are experiencing one global crisis- no nation, no section of society, no geography is an exception to this global crisis.
Hitherto when we thought of globalisation, a flat world, a borderless world, we only thought of internet, air travel and communication and commerce.
Little did we imagine, that a flat earth would also mean a global epidemic, a pandemic.
Do you know in this time of global crisis the oneness of human experience is more transparent than ever?
People in every nation, whether they are Chinese ,American ,Latino ,European and Indian everyone is experiencing the same anxiety over either their own sickness and death or that of their loved ones. Rich and poor alike are experiencing the same anxiety over economic uncertainty.
The atheist and the theist are experiencing the same confusion of being quarantined in their homes with their loved ones without escape.
We are one humanity. If only we can move away from our divisive consciousness, and go past all the labels we put on peoples' foreheads because of skin colour ,language, culture, class or caste - we will see we are one.
Can we go beyond division and duality to a space of oneness even with family members?
As you sit across the dining table ,as you go about your daily chores amidst the four walls - Pause for a moment and Centre yourself in the heart and reflect.
Is not your child’s longing for acceptance the same as yours even though you may express it differently?
Is not your grandmother’s clinging to life the same as your clinging to some position at work?
The experience of clinging is the same what you are clinging to is different.
You are judging your in-laws or your partner for their anger or aversion to someone. You think it is unfair.
But pause for a moment come to your heart and meditate. Is your anger towards someone really different from their anger?
The experience of anger and aversion is the same - you may shout and use cuss words- others may hold it in and simmer in it.
The way you love and wish for the other’s well-being too is the same- only the way you show it is different.
Meditate on your loved one’s experience of happiness and your own.
Why you become happy and they became happy could be different-
But the experience of happiness is the same.
“If you want to heal your family, stop focusing on how different you are from them or how superior you are to them."
Focus on the oneness of your human experience.
From that space relate, converse, do things together - you will heal their hearts
MEDITATION
Please sit still.
Close your eyes. Centre yourself in the heart.
Feel the divine, who is the Antaryamin in all our hearts in any form or name you choose.
Ask the divine to help you see that you and the members of your family are one.
Their experience of life now is just the same as yours.
May the Divine bless you to accept and celebrate this oneness and togetherness with your family.
You may now listen to the powerful Ekam mantra and chant along with it. The mantra is -Hamsa Soham Ekam, which at its simplest level means, I am in the divine, the divine is in me, we are one.
Whenever you are ready you may open your eyes
How to celebrate a joyful Ugadi or Gudi Padwa in times like these?
Look at the universe around you. Everything is cyclical. Everything moves in cycles.
If you looked at the world around you, everything is going through a cyclic movement.- The electrons around the nucleus., The planets around the sun, The galaxy around the center of the universe.
And the universe itself is collapsing and expanding.
Even human life goes through cycles of order and disorder.
Human life itself moves in cycles isn’t it?
Birth and death,
winning and losing,
progress and passivity,
health and ill health.
Everything is a cyclic movement.
No human being ever truly lives, when they try desperately to cling to one and resisting and deny the other side of the cycle. You only live in fear of the other side of the cycle ever happening.
Thrill and zest disappears from life. Sacredness disappears.
Birth and death then become more hospital center’s experiences. In a hospital you are born, in a hospital you will die.
Is this all there is to life?
No. Life is a mystery, an experience where you can’t run from anything.
And that is the essence of Udadi, or Gudi Padwa isn’t it?
It is a reminder to pause and bring attention to the wholeness of life without denying anything or clinging on to anything- , the bitter, the sweet, the sour, the spicy, the bland and the astringent - all tastes of life experiences to be accepted.
It is a celebration of life. And think of it - this would be your first Ugadi or Gudi Padwa at home with your loved ones - alone.
You have run too much in life. The Chinese would call this running “yang”. And nature is now saying “be still“. This the Chinese would call “yin” a movement inward.
Life has now put all of us in the stillness mode. Let us celebrate it.
This still and beautifully quiet time, can make you realize that you don’t need too much in life to be happy. The most important thing is for you have a beautiful inner state.
Once again let us remember, staying home can be a sadhana for your evolution, for your family to grow in love- it is also the most significant seva you are doing to save lives. If we Indians, who are more than 1 billion population can contain this epidemic, we will actually be saving the world.
So stay home and celebrate with each other.
Meditation
Shall we move inward for a few minutes and experience the Divine now?
Sit still.
Please close your eyes.
Feel the divine, who is the Antaryamin in all our hearts in any form or name you choose.
Ask the divine to help you accept and celebrate this stillness and togetherness with your family, even as you will celebrate movement and rush in the future.
You may now listen to the powerful Ekam mantra and chant along with it. The mantra is -Hamsa Soham Ekam, which at its simplest level means, I am in the divine, the divine is in me, we are one.
Whenever you are ready you may open your eyes.
