In this Episode, We discuss about how to properly end a conversation

  • Topics that we cover in this episode!

NOT EVERY CONVERSATION MUST GO SMOOTHLYYou can never please everyone.... There will be times when people just doesn't want to engage in a conversation with you. It might not actually be your fault so don't take any failed conversation too heavily.

It might that they are having a bad day or something big was troubling their mind that isn't relavent with you AT ALL!

As long as you're putting yourself out there saying hi... You're on the right track!

SMALL TALK IS A WASTE OF TIME?

We also pointed out how often because we are unable to have a proper ending to a conversation, it makes the entire conversation meaningless and we feel that starting any form of conversation is just a waste of time.

Too many times we create a conversation and it ends up not being fruitful between the two parties.

The most important idea is to find out how you both an benefit one another.

HOW TO MAKE YOUR CONVERSATION SUPER DUPER MEANINGFUL!

Aaroson's technique is to ask "So I know this might be weird but, do you have a big problem that you're handling right now that I can help with?"

This way, if you or you know someone that can help with their problem, you can quickly help them to solve a problem!

If not, you have to keep their problem in mind and eventually you will be in a position to help or know someone who can.

PLANNING ANOTHER MEET UP?The best way to plan a meet up can be to set a tentative date (With a common hobby or interest) and keep it as a SOFT BOOKING, then when the date is nearer, give the person a call or a text.

HOW MANY CLOSE FRIENDS CAN YOU REALLY HAVE?

Our number is below 10... Even tho we met so many people around we are unable to be CLOSE friends with a lot of them. You don't need toooo many friends, focus on getting more quality rather than quantity.

MAKE SURE THAT YOU'RE MEMORABLELeave inside jokes, Unique stories or find something about them that is really interesting and show appreciation for it.

It is best to prepare some Jokes, stories before hand and practise telling them! It helps you as a fallback plan if everything becomes stale!

On episode 14, we discuss about starting a conversation and having small talks. This is episode we cover the biggest challenge that we all face... finding conversational topics

Topics that we cover in this episode!

  1. How to never run out of conversational topics
  2. How to be interesting
  3. How to know if the other party is REALLY interested in what you're saying
  4. How to be annoying (So that you won't be)
  5. Simple body language

Highlights, Takeaways, & Quick Wins: * Zooming in and out, whenever you hit a conversational brickwall, "Zoom out" and talk about something that he is wearing or something you like about them and talk about it * Practice telling a fun story you have (Interesting holiday, Cold jokes, Palm reading)

It makes you more confident to talk to someone knowing you have a fallback topic * It is always okay to end a bad conversation, not all conversation flows smoothly * Get distracted while telling a story, if it is interesting topic for the person, they will remind you to continue the topic. * 48.30 (Bonus key tip, handling a conversation even without starting a topic) * Maintain eye contact, feet pointed at who you're talking, and SMILE

In this episode, we have Kirby Chua!

Taking time out from his busy schedule he graciously comes down to our humble studio and taught us A LOT OF MINDBLOWING STUFFS!

Funny story... Hsien met his wife on a GRABSHARE.

While having a conversation with the grab driver, his wife overheard the conversation and told him that she is a counselor!

So they were extremely cool and awesome to come down on our podcast to educate us properly about mental health and discuss how professional help actually looks like.

We discussed about depression, anxiety attacks and how one should react and help when they come across someone they love with this problem.

THIS IS AN EXTREMELY AWESOME EPISODE.
