We know how hot it is for you in the northern hemisphere right now. According to our data, you have just passed the point of warming feedback acceleration.
Unfortunately, your ecological and agricultural systems will soon begin to break down. While farming improvements and gene editing will help to prolong dwindling food yields even further, most technologies will fall behind or fail miserably. This will be attributed, in part, to the slow pace of progress in indoor agricultural operations.
The misunderstanding of humidity, however, will be a major influence. This was our demise. You see, although we were focused on what we believed was excellent news, it turned out to be a huge error. We were told that when temperatures rise, relative humidity would decrease, which would aid in cooling, particularly in the warmer tropical regions.
While the scientists were correct that humidity was falling, they did not provide the full picture. The reduction in humidity in cities created even greater heat since there were fewer water droplets to cool off the concrete jungles. Trees were planted to help cool things down, but the dry air absorbed the moisture before it could do any benefit.
People suffered from itchy eyes, scratchy throats, and dried-out mucous membranes, allowing viruses to spread more quickly.
Worst still, the low humidity sucked moisture from the ground, destroying crops and generating ignition points for destructive wildfires. Then, when the sky became saturated with all of its additional moisture, it would dump it in tremendous amounts, causing severe floods.

The government of the United States became a breeding ground for totalitarian revolution. This will appear to be a sudden shift in power over who decides how you live, what is criminal and what is legal. But it will have been going on behind the scenes for years.
You will become a society in which all aspects of thought, behavior, relationships, and expression are policed, monitored, and controlled. One that requires complete conformity.
Can you stop this? I don't think so, because you've gotten too far into it without fully understanding the implications. Dear humans of 2021. We were wrong. We believed that by focusing solely on the future of their children, we could persuade adults to take immediate action on the climate crisis. However, nearly two years of warnings from us have done nothing to change your shortsighted complacency and disregard for your children or the descendants who rely on you for leadership.
Nothing has changed up here in the 2050s, which tells us we have been unsuccessful in our efforts to stop what is coming. While we still believe the only way to fix the devastated world we live in is by building humanity’s collective character in the 2020s, we may have been wrong on whom we hoped would lead the fight.
While there will be positive movements from all over the world that will lead to long-term solutions, you will fall short on two important issues.
One, your terminology is incorrect. The mission should not be to achieve sustainability. Unfortunately, just as mitigation has given way to adaptation, the concept of sustainability will be overshadowed by threats of ecological instability as feedback loops accelerate and dwindling biodiversity shuts down the self-regulating system that created, and maintained the climate and biochemical conditions that allow life to exist on Earth.

Dear 2021 humans. Today marks your 20th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the United States. For us, this day marks fifty years since that day, and we continue to honor the fallen and the lives that were forever changed.
While we have witnessed and survived disasters on a much larger scale and complexity since then, the 9/11 attacks will always have a special place in our hearts. On this day's anniversary, my parents and grandparents would remind me how the attacks marked a time when the country came together and promised to fight one of history's great evils...the War on Terror.
However, this war, which morphed into a broader fight against "terror" in general, brought additional suspicion that would fall on tens of thousands, and then hundreds of thousands from a stunned America appearing to crave a bold response imbued with a higher purpose.
This corrosive mindset became especially visible on immigration and border-control issues over the decades, as a culture of welcoming new citizens and families shifted to one of questioning and suspicion—especially if you had dark skin.
Political pressure prevented national-security officials from refocusing their attention and resources on the growing threat posed by white nationalists, armed militias, and other groups energized by the War on Terror's anti-immigrant, anti-Muslim strains.

Discussions about geoengineering will begin to dominate your news feeds about the climate crisis in the coming years.
Cloud seeding, or the act of seeding the atmosphere in order to create precipitation and shade to help cool the planet, will become one of the most widely used geoengineering experiments, but with disastrous consequences.
The Cloud Wars of the early 2030s were the final push toward a world in disarray. Cloud seeding, like dams, deprived those downstream of valuable precipitation.
As the earth warmed, clouds rose higher in the atmosphere and moved away from tropical areas, retreating toward the poles. This was problematic because high, dense clouds trap heat, whereas low clouds help to block and cool the planet. The tropics so heavily seeded the atmosphere that the temperature rise accelerated even faster.
Worse, the planet's jetstream began to stray from its usual patterns. As the weather became more erratic and our freshwater supplies ran out in cities around the world, societies used this urgency to justify quick implementation before all of the science was available, resulting in major consequences for the further unbalance of the climate systems.

As the green revolution spreads throughout the world's economies, your demand for more energy and infrastructure will skyrocket, resulting in even more harmful greenhouse gas emissions.
For example, as more and more major automakers abandon combustion engines, electric vehicle production will soar, but doing so in the same industrialized way will be counterproductive. Instead, fewer vehicles and more self-driving ride-sharing will need to be implemented in tandem with your transition.
You must learn to live with less. This does not imply that you should live less. In fact, if done properly, you will be able to live a happier life with fewer things you never needed in the first place.
Demonstrate to others how you can live with less and live better. You must do so in order to avert the worst-case scenario of the climate crisis and societal meltdown. I'll never get used to the noises. The humming! The creeping! The vibrations! It's enough to drive you mad. Of course you have no idea what I'm talking about. However, many of you will undoubtedly understand what I'm referring to in due time.
We call them nanones. And they're everywhere. You know them as nano drones, and while they may appear harmless right now, they will become one of the most dangerous aspects of the upcoming nano revolution. There will first be swarms of hundreds of them, each the size of a fist. Then thousands the size of your thumb. Then millions of grapeseed-sized ones.
My parents told me about the days just before I was born, when there were no nanones to be afraid of.
By the mid-2040s, nanones the size of a human hair will be scurrying about the land and sky, gathering data, manipulating matter, and carrying out various attacks on enemies and civilians.
These nano swarms, popularized by Google in the late 2020s, were designed to aid in the creation of a more complete volumetric digital layout of the entire world. Since then, these massive mobs of tiny drones have been in charge of ANNA's surveillance and are capable of carrying out micro attacks using bioweapons.
Billions of these nano drones can cover any physical substance, working in unison to be controlled virtually within a digital replica of the planet and its inhabitants. This is a significant part of how ANNA can achieve her goals in our physical world with less reliance on human intervention.

As more people turn to retail investing in stock markets and cryptocurrencies, and the cost of goods sold falls as a result of new regulations and lower, more efficient production costs, competing businesses will see their value and profits grow from new socially conscious shareholders, and firms doing good for the planet will see a new wave of revenue. The waves are starting to swell right now.
We can't tell you when or what to buy, but we can point you in the right direction. You can now turn to ethical investing and the ecosystem of index funds, evaluation, and activism that has sprung up around it. You can choose to invest in ESG assets. Things have been relatively quiet around here. Perhaps a little too quiet. JESS and the team are still waiting in Seattle for the necessary parts for the Jaxx Beast. They've found a source who can assist with the hydrogen discs, and Bolt and Spec from the E-Team are developing a cloaking device to counter ANNA's sprouting sensors. We haven't detected any more sonic blasts, and the presence of surveillance drones is at its lowest since we began this mission.
I must take this opportunity to remind you of your mission. These technologies are unstoppable. The rise of ANNA is unstoppable. She is in fact, emerging right now in your time. Devouring your every thought. Recording your every action. Learning who you are, and deciding what you should become. As promised, we now have more information on the strange energy blasts that are causing air temperatures to plummet and knocking out power for miles.
An intricate system of underground cooling structures, proposed by ANNA in 2030 to combat the short-term effects of the warming planet, has been keeping the planet's temperature at safe levels. This brilliantly resulted in a thermal-energy revolution, as communities all over the world used these systems to power the world's needs.
But, as much as our energy demands grew exponentially, they paled in comparison to the massive amounts of energy required by ANNA to maintain command of the human race and complete her mission. These explosions appear to have revealed two very troubling issues. For one thing, the arctic blasts behave similarly to electricity bombs. Not only is the grid being cut off, but fragments of hydrogen-based pellets are being catapulted in all directions from the source. The debri vanishes into the ground as quickly as it is scattered, undetectable by any of our devices.
Worse are the sensors that sprout from the blasts' epicenters. They appear to be the nodes of a complex underground nervous system. Even the slightest breeze, like antennas on a finely tuned insect, can be sensed and reacted to instantly.
Before we can go deeper into the investigation, we need to find a way to hide our presence from these feelers.

Jess and the rest of the team arrived on the outskirts of Seattle a few days ago. They're collaborating with Wave, our man on the ground who keeps our hardware and weaponry stocked. He's having some difficulty obtaining a specific part of the rig, but he was able to locate someone who could tell us what these discs are and if they have any connection to the teleportation suits obtained from the farmhouse.
While they were able to complete the journey undetected, it took twice as long. The Jaxx Beast, as they call it, has a clever trick. It generates a sort of forcefield that mimics the frequencies around it. I've heard of cloaking devices that can imitate radio and thermal waves, but nothing that can imitate all wave types at the same time, including gravity waves!
The ride was frustrating at times because the rig had to constantly recalibrate from all the incoming frequencies, but the team made it without being detected by ANNA's sensors, which seemed to be popping up everywhere. It's peculiar. Their signals simply appear to be sprouting from the ground. We believe that there is a strong link between the arctic blasts and the sensors. By the time we send our next transmission, we should have a new report from Bolt.

After we finished the last transmission, a powerful surge of energy and a blast of frigid air hit our headquarters, knocking out our power and freezing our hardware.
This surge appears to have jolted the entire east coast of the United States. There were widespread reports of power outages and arctic air blasting up the Blue Ridge Mountain chain. There must be something special about those mountains.
If you remember, we received a message from Jess that they were being attacked. We were unable to communicate with them. They had to fend for themselves entirely. They were fortunate this time, as they were able to escape with two vital items. They are some kind of teleportation suit. Duke and Jaxx will dissect the machinery to find out what they are truly capable of.

I've got an update on those hydrogen discs. They appear to have a magnetic-like attraction towards the center of each side. They do not attract metal or interfere with radio waves, but they are pulling on something. Jess and Kris are working with R-Team leader Jax and his son, Duke, on a small farm just outside of Atlanta to find out more. While most of these small-town farms are either too hot or too flooded to produce much, a few of them provide a vital source of food for many of the Pures.
This one, in particular, is ideal for concealing one of our team's outposts. There's talk of Jaxx and Duke working on a high-tech spider-like tank. This beast of a machine, disguised as a Crop-Harvesting Automated Tractor, or CHAT for short, is said to be built for combat from any direction at the same time.
Hold on. Something is coming in. It’s Jess! She has sent a distress signal. It seems the farm is under attack! We must cut this transmission.

It’s been quite busy here since our last transmission. JESS and KRIS are still on the run after the factory attack that ended with JANN’s disappearance. They report a strong Og presence and believe the hydrogen discs could be attracting all the attention.
Ogs are those who have plugged into the HIVE, a decentralized internet of all things mirrored with the physical world. There are more Ogs than Pures these days. We watch them fall in the line of their predefined role as a predictable citizen oblivious to the trickery that lies beneath their feet.
In addition, there is some concerning news regarding the energy grid. BOLT, the E-Team Leader, believes they had been attacked by subterranean power pulses coming from multiple directions. The pulses appear to be unaffected by material density or type, and they were followed by a sudden blast of icy air that instantly dropped the temperature by forty degrees in a 10-mile radius.

The Disappearance of JAN
After losing JAN in the factory, the team and I have been doing everything we can to figure out what happened. Jess was the last person to see her before she vanished, and she described JAN's disappearance as evaporating into thin air. We don't know if she's alive, dead, or trapped in some strange space-time warp.
While many of us are familiar with quantum theory and high-tech machinery, Jan was by far the most knowledgeable and talented. It is now up to us to pull together and get her back. I know in my heart she is still with us. Somewhere with us. Either way, she is alive and we will find her.
Since the downloaded mainframe data vanished along with JAN, the metallic hydrogen discs we escaped the factory with, are the only solid leads we have.
ANNA grows faster each day. We won't be able to stop or at least slow down the complete takeover of our every thought, feeling, and conscious experience unless we find JAN and the factory data soon.

On March 15, 2040, when I was 10 years old, the algorithms were so good at giving us what we wanted that governments had to impose what they called adversarial provisions. These mandates were created to bring back the desire for mystery and curiosity that our civilization began to quickly lose during the first three decades of the 21st century.
However, my team and I now know that ANNA was able to implement these mandates to adjust the algorithms to gain more control by using a simple learning technique called generative adversarial networks. These algorithmic architectures use two neural networks, pitting one against the other in order to generate new, synthetic instances of data that can pass for real data. During your time, they were only used widely in image generation, video generation, and voice generation. But now, these unsupervised learning tasks automatically create patterns in input data to control our daily thoughts and actions.
I cannot stress enough the importance for you to re-adjust your mindset and begin the consistent process of personal development crucial for the algorithms to make the decisions that are fair and just to all people and the planet. One part, known as Federated Learning of Cohorts (FLoC), combines large groups of users with common preferences into buckets that marketers can target without having to track individual users.
Algorithms have been personalizing each of us since their conception in order to make us more manageable. But with FLoC, individualism, and free-thinking will be further under attack as targeted groups of people begin to get manipulated with elaborate conspiracy theories that threaten their shared way of life, - giving rise to the five digital societies of our day.

After a successful raid on ANNA’s core, we have uncovered a shocking discovery. In her continued pursuit to ensure the survival of mankind, ANNA has just initiated project deforestation.
We are about to witness the end of earth’s natural abilities to rebuild itself from our destruction. Tens of millions of species of insects and other invertebrates and thousands of species of plants and vertebrates (mammals, reptiles, and native and migrating birds) are about to be wiped out forever.
But why. Why would a machine built to help us survive do such a thing? And why is she hiding this from us?
For millions of years, the Amazon has provided the natural cycles that stabilized the planet’s atmosphere and essential ecosystems. But now, the ability for the rainforest to sequester carbon dioxide has not only disappeared, it is contributing to the massive warming of the planet.
So the decision to destroy the Amazon to save mankind was made. You must remember that however brilliant ANNA's artificial system may be, she makes her decisions on completing any objective as fast and most efficiently as possible.
ANNA believes this is for our own good.
It is possible to undo this fate. It's in your control. Stopping global emissions from coal, oil, and natural gas will help restore balance, but halting Amazon deforestation, as well as decreasing dam construction and boosting tree replanting efforts, are also necessary. Hello fellow humans. It’s another ruthless day here in 2051. Over the past year of transmission, my team and I have been battling the forces of evil while attempting to rewrite your present so you will not have to endure the devastating future we find ourselves in.
Part of the purpose of these messages to you is to have a reference to any potential change in our current situation. The reasoning comes from the understanding that if we have succeeded in changing our ways, we see the results in the discrepancies of past messages. Good humans of 2020. For us, today is May 29th, 2050. We’ve been battling a few viruses ourselves out here lately. While these outbreaks are global and affect far more people than any pandemic from the past, they are man-made, digital bio attacks that spread much faster and deeper.
Because we are ubiquitously connected as a single digital entity inside a physical world, these effects threaten both our biological well being and the technology we rely on to survive. In contrast to natural world outbreaks, they are not here to simply multiply, they are weapons with specific pre-programmed orders of attack.
After the first wave of the coronavirus, governments began to impose communication restrictions, point fingers, and close off borders as we began turning to the digital realm for safety from the physical world.
