Showing up and sharing your voice can be scary. It takes courage and trust.
I’ve been researching the ways and layers of trust and have found it to be really helpful to see all the ways trust serves - and lack of trust can hurt - our impact and leadership.
In this episode, I explore three layers of trust and how they have been a part of my own journey of leadership. From trusting myself, to trusting others, to seeing that there is something much bigger than me that is infinitely trustworthy - these insights have been profound for my own growth.
You’ll also hear about a decision that trusting myself has inspired me to make - and why I’m doing it right now.
Specifically, you’ll hear about:
I hope this episode serves you in releasing and letting go so you can have the spaciousness, confidence and support to do your very best work in our world.

In the presentation skills training I facilitate, I’m often asked the question: What do I do if my content is just boring?
The truth is, your content can’t be boring or no one will pay attention - it’s just the facts.
The good news is - there is no inherently boring content! There is only content that hasn’t been crafted in a way that engages that particular audience.
This applies to presentations as well as emails, conversations with clients, business partners and your kids or parents as well.
I created this episode to help you take any content and make it way more interesting.
Specifically, you’ll learn:
I hope this episode helps you brighten up and focus your content in a way that lights up your audience, whether that’s one person or a whole auditorium full of people.

How to Craft a Talk That Attracts Awesome Clients
There are many awesome ways to share your ideas on stage. That said, there is something special about speaking on a TED or TEDx stage - especially for people who are on a mission to change the world with their message.
It makes sense. TED events tend to offer beautiful stage experience and production, and it’s pretty cool to be a part of an event with strong ethical guidelines that is designed to ignite ideas and engagement with the audience.
The mystery comes in when aspiring speakers try to figure out how to get on a TEDx stage. It feels daunting and it’s hard to know where to start.
I love sharing what I’ve learned working with many TEDx speakers to help remove the barriers to you getting on a TEDx stage if that’s your dream.
In this episode, you’ll learn:
Here’s the thing: you are meant for a TED talk, if you feel called to do one. Whether you are ready right now or you want to use this episode to continue to establish your credibility, you can absolutely find an event that will fit your goals and big idea.
I hope this episode is helpful for you on the path!

Story is magic for creating connection. When you tell a story that shows the people you want to serve that you get what they are experiencing, have been there yourself (or helped another person go through it), and come out the other side, you are a beacon light for them.
This is why I call your Story of Transformation your Beacon Light Story.
The truth is, though, you’ve been through a lot of transformations. Any time you go from one place to another, weathering the difficulties along the way, growing and learning - you transform through the process.
Knowing how to choose the story that will serve your audience best is important.

I hope this episode helps you focus in on the story you want to share as you step into bigger leadership with your message.

How to Be Strategic in Storytelling with Marsha Shandur
Why do some people get out in the world big and powerful with their message, and others hold back? In my 15 years working with leaders of businesses, I know for sure that it’s not their credentials, expertise or experience.
In fact, I know way too many brilliant, highly educated, remarkably experienced people who have not made the impact they could make in the world. Even with the best message and tons of support, something gets in the way.
10 years ago, on a walk in the woods with my two dogs, I was asking myself these questions. That’s when the 5 Cs came to me. I’ve spent 10 years testing this model and it holds strong and true. When these five essentials are strong and emboldened, leaders thrive and serve in a much bigger way.
The cool thing is, you can use this as an easy assessment for where you can create a stronger connection in your thought leadership.
In this episode, you’ll learn:
I hope this helps you think through your own leadership and ways you might shine even brighter this year.

The Power of Resolve
The Ocean Wave + Your Vision 2023
Stepping into leadership requires that we make decisions often. Whether it’s when and how to share our ideas so they have the greatest impact or how to respond when someone disagrees with our approach, there are choices to be made at every turn.
Sometimes those decisions feel quite high stakes, such as letting a team member go or doing a sales presentation for a potential new big customer.
Of course, we are whole humans - not just leaders - and there are plenty of decisions to make in other domains of our lives: which school to choose for our kids, whether to move to a new city or country, how to respond to a health crisis and so many more.
Decision-making is a skill that we cultivate over time, but it can feel mysterious to understand exactly what makes us go one direction or another. This is especially true when there seems to be great evidence to support both (or all) sides of the decision.
At the heart of it, what we are protecting against is the feeling of regret. Will we stand by our decision down the road, when the outcomes are in play and the ramifications clear?
This episode is based on a fascinating article I read about a hidden source of regret that is actually inaccurate and unhelpful. Being aware of this element of regret can help us move through painful feelings that might be activated without warrant.
In this conversation, we cover:

This time of year can be full of special occasions, sparkly lights and delights, and possibly extra time off. And it may have none of those things for you.
Whether or not you celebrate holidays this time of year, there is a good chance you are thinking about the big annual transition from one year to the next. This might mean looking over your previous year and bringing forth lessons that will serve you in the next one. Or, maybe it’s just about dreaming and strategizing your new goals.
Speaking on great stages, writing your book, being a podcast guest on the best shows in your industry… calling forth great clients and creating awesome systems, these all happen because at some point you dream up what you want for your work and your impact in the world.

There is no branding, strategy or re-vamp of your website that will create even half the impact that simply connecting in with your own excited energy in your business will bring. Your business success and enjoyment is dependent on your Hell Yes energy. It’s essential.
Unfortunately, there is so little about this in the marketing and business planning literature and education. Instead, we’re told to hunker down, work harder, hustle more - sometimes without any regard at all for how connected and energetic we feel about the work we are doing.

When you know you are called to use your voice, expertise, and message to serve in our world, that desire can burn strong, even hot at times. It’s not just about saying the thing, telling the story… it’s about feeling fully expressed when you do it.
And yet, especially for women and others who are marginalized in power in our society, we are taught all the ways we should be careful, stay smaller, and not make other people uncomfortable when we speak on stages, share our message on podcast guest interviews, write your book... This continuous uninvited training can be so stealthy that we don’t even realize all the ways it is holding us back from feeling the rich satisfaction of our fullest expression.
In this episode, you’ll see the ways you might be holding back, even when you don’t mean to, and take away strategies for releasing the fear (and thought storms) that can keep you from showing up in your most glorious, full expression.

The Essentials of Storytelling
Soulful Time Management with Ulrika Brattemark
Ulrika’s book: Time Alchemy
It feels amazing to be in the flow of doing great work. Sometimes it’s hard to stop - to step away long enough to have a proper meal or get a full night’s sleep. And for short bursts of time, this can be just fine, if it doesn’t happen too often.
When you spend too much time working, especially under a great deal of stress, it can be hurtful to your mental and physical health.
The fact that our society inappropriately values hustle and overworking means burnout is way more common that we might realize. No one teaches us how to recognize when burnout is happening, so it can actually become a part of the culture of an organization.
It would be great if leaving a toxic culture to start our own business meant an immediate end to overworking and burnout, but that is often not the case. Habits and beliefs that build up over time are hard to recognize and release, even when they feel terrible.
In this interview with Joanna Denton, Executive & Speaking Coach, we get to hear Joanna’s story of burnout - two times - during her career. Along the way, Joanna learned a lot about how to recognize the signs of burnout as well as things you can do to take care of yourself when you notice these signs.
Inside, you’ll hear about:
Joanna is vulnerable and real, funny and super smart. I hope you love this conversation as much as we enjoyed creating it for you.
Joanna’s Bio:
Joanna trained as a coach in 2015, and after working first in an in-house role for her then employer, she started her own business in October 2016, working for clients all around the world and in different industries and organisations. Prior to that, Joanna worked as a tax consultant for 16 years in Big 4 accounting firms in both the UK and Luxembourg, working up to the level of Director in 2010. Two burnouts in five years made her fall out of love with her well-established tax career, even though on the face of it she was at the top of her game. In 2014, after burnout number 2, she left tax, became a coach, and changed pretty much everything about how she lives her life. Since then, it has become her mission to make sure that her clients don’t wait till their lives are falling apart to make changes in their lives; she helps her clients continue doing what they love, AND do it in a way that they can still have the energy to have a life outside work with the ones they care about.

There is a difference between being an expert speaker and a transformational speaker. They aren’t mutually exclusive - some of our most influential thought leaders show up in both capacities.
Kris McGuigan knows how to weave expertise and transformation together with mastery, and that’s a real gift. She’s the perfect person to listen to and learn from about making your way in the speaking and thought leadership world with authenticity and commitment.
When I met Kris just under five years ago, she was committed to serving from bigger and broader reaching stages but was early on that path. In fact, she flew to my state so we could spend a full day together crafting her first well-paid speech.
The path wasn’t easy or straight-forward all the time, but Kris stuck it out and her commitment paid off. She is now speaking on amazing stages regularly and has just published her first (of many, I’m sure) book.
Kris’ story and insights are powerful because she knows what it takes to become a well known thought leader, starting from the beginning. But what makes listening to Kris and learning from her even more powerful is the way she brings genuine and honest humanity to the process, and to the world of work.
This is a book about professional courage, a gift to people in companies and organizations who want to rise to their own greatness… and it's a beautiful guide to living a courageous, brave life.
In this episode, we talk about:
You’re going to love Kris McGuigan’s book, The Requisite Courage: How to Make Brave Decisions in Business and Life. It’s captivating, engaging and actionable.

You know that jaw-dropping feeling when you watch a musician hit those impossible notes, or play that unbelievably complex piano piece… that sense that something even bigger and more magical than practice and great training is at play.
This is when we use words like: “born for this” “they’re a natural” “supernatural” to describe what we are experiencing.
Very often what we’re experiencing is mastery - the magic of mastery.
Mastery is when a person has honed, practiced, iterated, tried again and again… failed, picked back up, tried harder and then tried something new. When they’ve put in the time, energy and emotional investment to move through the learning curve, come out the other side then go on a journey of their own.
Mastery is when we go beyond competence, move through expertise and enter into the beauty and unexpected experience of artistry.
Understanding mastery makes us better speakers, facilitators, and leaders. Knowing when we are sharing from our own mastery - and how to build a bridge for others who don’t have mastery in that area..means we create experiences that will best support those we want to serve.
Celebrating the mastery in others allows us to enjoy their contributions in a much more exciting way. It also guides us in choosing the best collaborators based on the interplay of our skills, competence, mastery and artistic approach.
In this episode, we talk about:
I hope you enjoy this episode. It’s a topic that can make you even better in your ability to impact and serve in our world.

The most common type of question I get is: How did they do it?
How did they get the 5-figure speaking gig?
How did they land the interview in the media or on that amazing podcast?
What does it take to really, truly build a business and/or meaningful impact on your story and expertise?
The answer to that question is as varied as the people asking - and living out that story.
There are some key things that need to happen, though. You need to be willing to share yourself, even some of the stuff that scares you (it doesn’t have to be all of it!). You need to spend time knowing who you serve and how your story can best inspire them, teach them and move them to action.
Jill Griffin built an award-winning, remarkable corporate career. One where she had lunch with Oprah and got to meet President Barack Obama. She hung out with famous musicians. She also helped many world-class brands bring in even more customers and additional millions of dollars.
And she did all of that while hiding a traumatic brain injury that made doing her job so much harder than it had been before.
Already recognized as an expert in strengths-based leadership and career strategy, Jill decided to begin sharing more of her story in her speaking and thought leadership. This has led to opportunities and impact that have made her business and career even more successful and satisfying.
You’ll be both inspired by and served well through this conversation with Jill Griffin. Enjoy!

As we grow in our careers, influence and leadership, our opportunities to shine and serve bigger audiences increase substantially. It’s both a natural part of the process and one that can catch us off guard with the new things we need to consider and learn.
One of those things we come up against is how to present ourselves physically at these larger visibility opportunities. There are so many things to consider what to wear and how to show up depending on whether there will be photos, video, stairs, hot lights… all of the elements of stepping onto bigger stages (both live, virtually, in the media).
Elsa Isaac is the pro to the pros when it comes to styling and personal expression through style. Because she’s worked with so many women who are moving up through their careers and entrepreneurs rising up in their business, she has a unique perspective on how to think about our clothes and the way they can serve us and our work in the world.
At the heart, Elsa is an advocate for a woman’s right to feel amazing in her clothes right exactly where she is in this moment. We don't need a different body, better circumstances or any other conditions to deserve this kind of confidence, comfort and ease.
In this interview, we talk about:
Whether you’re hitting the stage, creating a video series, going on your first (or 15th) media interview… you will love hearing Elsa’s thoughtful anti-fashion approach to helping you feel awesome in your clothes.
Elsa Isaac is an NYC-based fashion + image stylist who believes style is really all about self-expression.
A seasoned pro with 20+ years in the fashion industry, the east African-born stylist has built quite a noteworthy portfolio, having bestowed her stylish magic on everyone from Rachel Rodgers to Lenny Kravitz; Katie Couric to Kris Carr. Nowadays, she helps successful career women + entrepreneurs revamp their wardrobes + create show-stopping ensembles that flatter their unique body shapes and lifestyles.
A self-dubbed anti-fashion stylist. Elsa doesn’t believe there’s one standard of beauty + strives to empower all her clients to celebrate their own individuality.

It’s common for us to think that telling ourselves we aren’t good enough will motivate us to do better work, perform better. And interestingly, there is some truth to that. Research does show that people who are realistic about what they need to do to perform at their highest level are likely to perform better than those who are overconfident.
That said, being mean to ourselves is never helpful. When we go from a clear, focused plan for improvement to berating ourselves and telling ourselves all the ways we’ve failed, done something wrong or aren’t capable of delivering no matter what we do… that’s a recipe for a whole lot of stuckness and lower (or complete lack of) performance.
Speaking on great stages, writing your book, delivering a presentation at work… having that difficult conversation with your boss, your teenager or partner… these can all be difficult experiences. We need to be our own ally - our own best support and coach.
I’ve seen clients go from paralyzed to proud of their delivery more than I can count, after they see what we talk about in this podcast episode.
In this episode, you’ll find:
This process and way of seeing our thoughts and self-talk has been life-changing for me and many of my clients. I hope you find it helpful, too!

SHOW NOTES
Ep 122 Audience Intimacy
Many of us share our messages and stories of inspiration from stages and in books because we want to help others see that there is light at the end of the tunnel. To let them know they aren’t alone in whatever struggle they are experiencing and that they can live the life they really want.
This is beautiful and important, this promise of hope.
And also, it can be hurtful.
Our stories and our messages - in speeches, in our book writing, in our social media shares - must be grounded in the full story. It’s essential that we talk about the hard parts, the parts that didn’t go the way we hoped, the struggle we went through - all on the way to getting to the other side.
We need to do this to create trust and connection, to let them know that even on the “other side” life isn’t perfect (of course) - and we need to do this to create the most compelling communication, too.
In this episode, you’ll find:
I hope this episode helps you create a message that is both magnetic and of ultimate service to the people you most want to inspire and magnetize to your work.

Ep 122 Audience Intimacy
There are fundamental messages that I see as the most helpful ones to reveal the most authentic, powerful speaking and thought leadership in my clients.
I’ve found that great speaking is way less about how to craft a great talk following someone’s formula, how to tell a story with jaw-dropping vivid action (though that can be awesome), or how to deliver your keynote or TEDx talk with perfect hand gestures and movement on stage - and so much more about releasing everything in the way of doing what you naturally know how to do in your speaking and expression.
I used to think of my job as a speaking coach as the expert who tells my clients how to craft a talk - that my expertise should be the most important part of crafting the speech (after all, that’s why they hired me).
Now I know that it’s your intuition, your desired message, your inspired ideas that are most valuable in our process. It’s my job to help reveal those from within you.
In this episode, you’ll learn:

If you’ve been an entrepreneur, business owner or leader or, really, a human, for any period of time, you know what it feels like to be stuck.
Whether it’s finding clarity in our message, deciding where to go next with our business, looking for great stages for your keynote speeches or Signature talk, there is plenty for our brains to get caught up on.
There are hundreds, maybe thousands, of tools that are designed to help you get unstuck. Many of them are helpful, at least temporarily.
Yet, they seem to have a short lifespan. Within weeks or months, you find yourself saying the same things to yourself over and over:
“Why can’t I figure this out?”
“Where do I go from here?”
“What is wrong with me?”
“How am I supposed to decide what to do about this?”
And the ever-stuck-making thought:
“What if I make a mistake?”
The good news is, there is a much easier way to get unstuck. This helps you with decision-making, knowing what you want, and releasing the barriers to doing the big, beautiful things you intend to with your voice, message and work in our world.
This episode is about this alternative path to getting unstuck.
In this episode, I cover:
You are meant to change lives with your message, voice and impact in the world. Knowing how to approach the very normal feelings of being stuck will serve you powerfully toward this mission.

Our brain loves to tell us that we have to get it “right.” We can spend many hours, days, weeks overthinking our next moves:
We get caught up in over-thinking because our brain is telling us we’re not safe if we get it wrong. That we will waste time or money or the attention of people who trust us.
I love reminding you that you are MADE for the whole of what you want. You can handle the fun and excitement of it, the possible “failure,” the uncertainty, the unknown… you are literally built for all of it!

Leading a company or your own small business means wearing many hats and juggling a lot of priorities on any given day. It can feel overwhelming.
Add to that a desire to share your voice and message far and wide for the greatest impact - through speaking, writing books, or any of the ways we show up and shine in service of our business - and it’s easy to get paralyzed.
Which is why we need good time management systems. But we all know that the issue of overwhelm isn’t fixed by a pretty planner alone. We need ways of looking at our commitments and deciding which ones we want to give our precious time and energy.
Ulrika Brattemark has created, refined and then written a book about this soulful approach to time management. In this conversation we discuss:
This is a rich conversation with tips on how to think about time in a new way plus some stories about building a business and stepping into thought leadership that are sure to resonate.
Ulrika Brattemark is on a mission to help heart-centered women solopreneurs get out of overwhelm and find sustainable and deeply fulfilling ways to build the impactful business they dream of.
Her background as a former business analyst turned agile coach, combined with her deep intuition, and playful curiosity have shaped her unique approach to time management.
She is the author of "Time Alchemy - a Dynamic and Soulful Approach to Managing Your Time" in which she provides a refreshing perspective on time management, one in which time becomes our ally.
Her group offerings provide compassionate accountability support, a deeply felt sense of camaraderie, and a place to be real. She is the creator of the popular program Procrastination-Buster Bootcamp.

In January of 2022, I realized I was feeling super leashed up on social media. I had a lot of thinking about what I should and shouldn’t say or share on social platforms. In conversations with dear friends, I was lovingly challenged to let go of any thinking about what I should share and just say all the things I was wishing to say but thought I couldn’t. This is how the 10 Things Project was born.
As I think about the process of becoming unleashed so we can share our voice, speak with confidence, and just show up as real and powerful as possible, I realize these 10 Things Project lists have been a beautiful catalyst. Public speaking gets wrapped in such mystery for so many of us. The fact that most people get very nervous before they speak makes it feel like something magical when a person loves public speaking, or when they appear confident and clear in their delivery.
The truth is, great speaking comes with practice and excellent preparation (like so many things). And the key is knowing HOW to prep and practice well. Knowing what’s most important, especially when you don’t feel like you have a lot of time to get ready.
I love sharing the essentials in a way that makes them easy to implement so that you can feel a big difference in your confidence right away when you are speaking. That’s what this episode is about.

An essential element of becoming unleashed is knowing that we are leashed up in the first place. In this rich, engaging conversation with Dr. Sweta Chawla, we get to hear her story of going from a traditional, academic, high-achieving background to where she is today, living and working in her brilliance.
Going from Pharmacist and professor to Leadership Coach helping leaders, entrepreneurs and other professionals step into their own Natural Leadership (in the work and their life) was not a straight line, of course. But has been and continues to be one full of learning, growth and many tools to share.
In this episode, you’ll hear:
Sweta Chawla PharmD, MS is a Former Professor of Pharmacy and Clinical and Residency Director turned Speaker, Facilitator, Leadership Coach and Author. She supports organizations, highly driven professionals, budding creatives and entrepreneurs to reinvent how they work and lead. Through her natural leadership model, she empowers her clients to create personal structures that leverage their natural brilliance. As a result they experience more passion, impact and meaning without compromising their integrity and well-being.
Dr. Sweta is the author of the book I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For...Now What? and contributor to the award-winning Anthology She’s Got This: Essays on Standing Strong and Moving On. She has published articles and essays in several journals, magazines and has spoken on many stages and panels, including the White House.

Some of us are called to share our stories, lessons learned and expertise in service of others. We feel this call at the center of us. It starts as a glimmer. If we choose to nurture this glimmer into a spark, we can stoke that spark all the way into being a recognized leader in our industry through keynote speaking, TEDx talks, writing books, and just showing up to serve with our voice.
After working with well over 1,000 speakers and leaders, the path to this kind of Radiant Leadership has become powerfully clear. There are five phases, each with their own characteristics, milestones and activities. Knowing where you fall on this path will help you step more fully and easily into the most natural success on your thought leadership journey.
In this episode, you’ll learn:
Listen in to this episode and see if you can name which phase you are in on the Path to Radiant Leadership. This will help you focus in on what matters most at this phase to keep your momentum going with more ease and success.

According to many people who try to preserve our patriarchal system, the term “thought leader” must be bestowed upon anyone who wants to carry that name.
Of course, this is bullshit. In this episode of Becoming Unleashed, Michelle shares 5 myths she’s seen shared in various forms around what it takes to be a genuine Thought Leader. The trouble with these myths is that they only serve to keep brilliant, heart-fueled people quiet. And we need the brilliant, heart-fueled people to be louder than ever.

Speaking on stages, submitting your book draft, even hitting “publish” on that social media post takes courage, a willingness to be seen, noticed, and possibly judged. It’s what makes doing these things too much for many people.
When you are called to serve with your stories and expertise, you actually have to show up and be seen. To some degree, most of us get used to it, even if it isn’t always comfortable.
Sometimes, though, being seen can feel especially hard. Maybe you’ve decided to tell a very vulnerable story that risks judgment in ways you’ve never experienced and are afraid to. Or you are going to finally get on video after a recent change in your body, face, voice or something else “visible” to others - and you are afraid of the response you’ll get.
Maybe it’s just your own response that scares you most.
In this episode, Michelle shares:
This episode is meant to be played over and over again when you feel nervous, afraid or overwhelmed by your call to serve. The process is simple. Your call is real and meaningful and you deserve to be seen and heard all over the world!

But, it’s not the only way to be a paid speaker.
In this episode, Michelle shares the glory and not so glorious aspects of being a paid speaker, especially when there is travel involved. While travel can be time consuming and full of frustrations at times, it’s also a beautiful benefit of in-person paid speaking.
That said, having a broader view of how to get paid to speak as well as ways to speak will serve your speaking and thought leadership well.

Whether you work at an organization and need to do regular presentations as part of your job or you are a thought leader crafting TEDx talks and keynote speeches, the struggle is often similar: how do you get people to pay attention and then take action on your ideas?
You might wonder:
How do I say it in a way that makes them care?
Why is it so hard to get their attention?
My topic is inherently boring - there’s no way to make them care or pay attention!
Well, the answer to these questions is also the answer to so many other questions about how to get what you really want. In this case, you want the attention and action of your audience. Another time, you may want to persuade your teen to clean up around the house or convince your partner to give you a back rub or get your parent to go to the doctor.
This episode is dedicated to helping you get what you want, whatever that is. I know you will use this for good in our world, so I feel excited to share this powerful information with you.

This past week, I had yet another conversation with a brilliant client who is concerned they aren’t expert enough to take a stand for their ideas. I am so committed to blowing up this idea into oblivion because it keeps so many brilliant people quiet!
And here’s the thing, it’s not like I don’t get it. Ohhhh do I get it. I spent six years staying quiet and small in my work because deep down, I didn’t believe I was good enough to take a stand for my message.
In this episode, I broaden the conceptual idea of speaking by offering up different kinds of speakers and their talks. I came up with 4 so far, but I know there are more... and they definitely aren’t mutually exclusive.

It’s easy to get caught up trying to create perfect, high-impact content. You hear things like, “Your content must be epic or it won’t get attention.” But that’s simply not true.

My client had flown in for a VIP day to get her Rooftop Message Talk crafted all in one day. I love these days together because the creative energy is off the hook! Even though it's called a VIP day, we actually start our work together a week or two prior, with questionnaires and exploring branding, messaging and offerings. All kinds of details so that on our VIP day we can dive deep fast.
We spent the entire day exploring her stories, playing with messaging and refining her offerings. The walls were covered with large post it papers.
She left our time together absolutely GIDDY with the possibilities not just for her speaking but for her business and thought leadership overall.
I sent her a refined version of her talk outline a few days later, with a few questions in the comments and requests for some stories to flesh out the talk.
I didn’t hear from her for a week… then she’d check in and let me know she was still thinking and would get back to it soon… then two weeks, a month passed…
By the time she came back to our conversation she was second guessing every idea she had in our treasure chest of talk content, stories and messaging!
When I asked her why she made so many changes, she said, “I just didn’t feel like it was right. I wasn’t sure that would work.”
So we ventured down her path of new ideas, each iteration feeling more stifled and tight.
This is when I realized we were doing the very thing that is likely to create the LEAST creative content and ideas…
We were trying really hard to get it right!
In this episode, I share:
Trying really hard to get it right is pretty much always a sign that you need to stop and do something else. YOu’ve moved out of your creative energy and into critical, analytical energy. Not a lot of good stuff happens there at this stage.
I promise your greatest ideas, content, expression is fully alive in your creative energy. Enjoy this part of the process - it can be so gloriously fun and exploratory!

Over the last 13 years of my work, I’ve had the amazing opportunity of working with many thought leaders and speakers all across the spectrum.
