Welcome to New Life the Fort's weekly audio podcast of weekend services. Lead Pastors Alvin and Michelle dela Peña pastor a rapidly growing church where God's love and grace are taught right in the heart of Metro Manila. 2021 is the Year of TAKE GROUND.
We often feel like we have to work for God to look favorably upon us. There is nothing that we can do to make ourselves good enough. That’s why God did it for us. Believing and receiving all that Jesus did brings about a wholeness within. And it’s from the wholeness that everything else can flow out from. Join us as we step into this place of Undeserved Privilege.
Christ's resurrection from the grave is our assurance that we are forgiven! There is now therefore no condemnation- the ultimate benefit none of us deserved.
As we continue to talk about Peace and what that meant when Jesus gifted us His peace, it is necessary to understand that THAT pertains to every area of our life - Spirit, Soul and Body. Jesus did not die for us only to receive partial of what He paid for with His life. What God offers is complete wholeness in Him.
Peace is powerful. It not only gives you the ability to rest when the storms in life come but to silence them when it gets loud, subdue the waves that try to beat you down and to bring you to the other side because He said so. Join us as we take a look at the words Jesus spoke in the midst of a storm, while on a boat - “Peace, Be Still”.
Peace.A concept that seems to be so elusive.Since the beginning of recorded human history, one thing we can easily trace is conflict between peoples and the natural disasters that destroy civilizations. But underlying this unrest is man’s relationship with God and man is impotent to address this divide. Let’s go over the scripture of last week to find out more about what God did through Jesus so we can have true and lasting peace. This is part two of Peace Be With You.
We are coming at the heels of Resurrection Sunday. This event is of course central to Christians. What is often sidetracked is what Jesus did after He rose from the grave. In John 20 we see that one of the first things Jesus released to the disciples is His peace. In biblical perspective, any first has weight and is worthy of further investigation. In a world that is in desperate need of peace, let’s get a better understanding of the peace that Jesus gave us that is distinct from the world’s version of peace.
Much like a GPS in our modern times in navigating the unfamiliar, believers have been given all the tools needed to discover and navigate God’s will for our lives. These tools give us a higher perspective of our current location in relation to our destination, guiding us to get there as quickly and as directly as possible, helping us make the right decisions even in this trying times.
The world is at a crossroads of human history. It is changing right before our very eyes. People are scrambling to adjust just to stay relevant. As believers we are not meant to merely stay afloat but be ahead of the curve. With that, it is inevitable for us to make the right decisions. It will not simply change you, but very possibly change the world around you.
A lot of things can happen as we are walking along in the journey called life. While we could be walking aimlessly, being on the road, means there is a specific destination we are headed towards. On The Road is a place of meeting with Jesus. Let’s journey together and discover what He has in store for us.
We all want to take ground. We want to fulfill our purpose and walk into our destiny. But we can’t walk into something without walking away from something else.
Today is Valentines, and the whole world is celebrating love. But are we celebrating the same love? The Bible is very clear about what love truly is. Not the watered down confused version we see in the world today. Today let’s find out that love isn’t a what but a Who. And He still walks among us today.
There's got to be a boldness that you and I have to step into where Jesus is, because He's given us the opportunity to do so.
We are living in days where the phrase new normal is thrown around like everyone actually understand what that really means. In other words, these are uncertain times. Should the child of God be as lost as those of the world? Let’s get a glimpse how God leads us in times and places we’ve never been before.
Worrying can't bear anything good. We're here to remind you that our future is secured on the ground which we stand upon; Jesus.
God's goodness is written in His Word. And as the Bible says, heaven and earth may fail, but His Word will never pass away.
New Life The Fort, the world needs to see your kind of light. It is time to TAKE GROUND!
"God never stopped moving. You're here because He didn't stop moving. You're watching because He never stopped working."
Faith that moves mountains and the hope that does not disappoint would not be possible if not for love. Faith, hope and love are the three that will last forever but, the greatest is love.
We often think about having more faith so we can move our mountains. But today let’s talk about faith being a place you can be in and rediscover the awesome reality of what God has done, so we can become the overcomers He made us to be. climbing shoes on.
There are mountains God wants us to move out of the way but there are mountains that God wants you to climb because He wants to meet with you. Join us today at New Life The Fort as we look at some of these mountains that we may be at the foot of. Let’s get our climbing shoes on.
In life, it is inevitable that we would face mountains that represents obstacles along our path. God gave us faith not to wish these mountains away but to overcome them.
Perhaps the greatest stewardship given to the individual as it is written in Proverbs 4:23 is the heart. In the Amplified Bible Classic it would say; Keep and guard your heart with all vigilance and above all that you guard. If that is so then we should dig deep to understand what heart means in biblical terms. Join us as we go and discover all the issues of the heart.
There are things that God wants to show us to take us from where we are to the glory ahead of us. “Do you not see it? Is a invitation and opportunity for hope to be raised for us to see what God sees.
Hope is the expectation of good. And since we’ve placed our hopes on God, we can be sure that no matter what comes our way, we can still be joyful and confident that He will always pull through for you.
What does hope look like in the midst of the most trying of situations and circumstances? Hope IS the joyful and confident expectation of good.
In a world where fear is prevalent and it causes us to hide, there is a type of fear that is actually beneficial to us.
Get your heart ready for the coming harvest by hearing from God's heart. He knows the timings, seasons and what's in the hearts of men.

There is great power and great grace available for the the Body of Christ. This emanates from Jesus’ outstretched arms on the cross, and His finished work. The power to do the impossible is connected to the grace one yields to.
So death reached for the Son of Man but could not take the Son of God. Jesus rose with the sound of might, in all His glory, clothed in Light. We rejoice for It is done. His resurrection compared to none. Now our breath declares His life. He has won. JESUS is alive!
Be more aware of the Jesus in your boat, than the storms and the wind, and the rain, and the waves that are blowing against your boat.
“We are not running from fear. We are running for Him. Many battles have been won, and we declare this will be one of them. What was meant to bring us harm, GOD WILL ALWAYS TURN IT AROUND FOR GOOD!”
“Whatever God put in you, no one can ever take away. But He gives you the choice to live it out and fully realize your potential. Whatever situation you find yourself in, keep making progress, because the path of the just shines brighter and brighter unto the perfect day.”
“When you run, you’re supposed to run the race knowing that you already have the victory. You’re running to enforce what’s already been given.”
Pastor Alvin shared a message that reminded us that it is “along the road” that we find our calling, our purpose. And it is in our everyday walk with Him we find meaning in our lives. Jesus already took the road of suffering that nobody else wouldn’t take for us so we can confidently walk closely with the Father and be in step with Him.
When shaking in our lives come, we won't be swayed neither moved, because we know we are standing on the solid foundation of the unshakeable Rock which is Jesus.
When you feel afraid to take steps because of fear, remind yourself of who God has said you are and where He is leading you. Your destiny is set in Him. Enjoy the journey.
Let's remind ourselves to alwats rejoice, no matter what the circumstances may be. Jesus came, and He has already given us the victory. Rejoice in the Lord always! He never fails.
One of the things Jesus Freed us from is the religious duty to offer our love. There's only one sacrifice that was accepted and that is Jesus. God demonstrated His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners Christ died for us.
Whenever the Spirit quickens a Word of God in your heart, it removes any limit you may have. There is no limitation in your life when you're in Christ.
You've got to take the step to see if you can, don't judge it based on the failures of yesterday, you don't live there anymore, there is Grace for today and it's more than enough.
God always has something better for you. He is with you throughout your journey in life. God goes with you personally He has prepared the way.
God has prepared for you a table with bread that represents healing, and wine that represents forgiveness. He is serving you so you can celebrate. Don't be afraid to partake.
You find yourself backing away from what God wants to give you when you are more aware of your mistakes than what Jesus already finished. Get up. It's time to claim what is rightfully yours.
Jesus’ conquest to defeat sin and death was driven by His great love for us. And this love that cost Him His life caused us to live a HYPER-VICTORIOUS life!
Jesus’ conquest to defeat sin and death was driven by His great love for us. And this love that cost Him His life caused us to live a HYPER-VICTORIOUS life!
We have a victory. And it's not just any ordinary victory. This overwhelming victory is a super, hyper, victory! A victory that was decided with finality that no one can change. That is the victory that we have in Christ. And that's why we can say, we overcome!
When you receive Jesus, you have essential change within you, and demonstrable change that people see. Overtaken, you are changed so you can bring change. Overflowing, you are blessed so you can be a blessing.
Ultimately, God wants us to be overtaken by His overflow of His Person. All that He is. His love, His dreams, His provision, His promotion. He wants all of that to come from Him to you and through you.
God sees and hears you. Stay close in Him, stay in His Word, and He will surely lead you into victory.
In knowing Him, grace and peace are multiplied to you. Jesus already opened the doors for you, so you can rest in Him. Be ready to receive!
