About Paul de Gelder:
Paul chased adventure wherever he could find it, from his wild ride as a hoodlum teen and his drug-and-alcohol fuelled stint working in a strip club to hauling his way up to the elite echelons of the defence forces as an Army Paratrooper and then Navy Clearance Diver. But trouble hunted him down in the form of a brutal shark in February 2009. Paul lost two limbs, and his career as a daredevil Diver was flung into jeopardy.
About Mic The Vegan
"About 7 years ago I went vegan after reading the research on vegan populations and witnessing people that made me realize I wouldn’t drop dead from a protein deficiency. In particular, vegans were shown to have lower rates of the two diseases I was most afraid of getting, heart disease and cancer. In addition, as someone with a B.Sc. in Sustainability, the environmental aspects were undeniable and an added bonus. After being vegan for a couple years and no longer purposefully contributing to the suffering of animals, I was able to take the meat goggles off and face the crimes against animals firsthand. In other words, actually love animals and not just love pets for the first time in my life." - - Mike
The Amazon is on fire... I'm no expert in what is going on, but I wanna bring attention to the situation. The interesting part is that it seems that 90% of these forests are being cleared for animal farming & that 60% of areas that are burned down end up being used for cattle.
I saw that the Brazilian president didn’t seem to care about the issue, apparently he softened farming regulations by not fining companies for starting fires.
