We're back! And it's that time of year again, when Hollywood decides what are the best films of the year! What do we think of the nominations, and which one are we rooting for? Did your favorites make the list?
We're back and it's Oscars season! And we're quite impressed with this year's lineup! Who will take home the coveted Best Picture? We reveal our predictions and what we're rooting for!
What a year it's been for film! Not a lot of new releases to see, but several rewatches and going back to discover what film history has to offer. Stevo talks about his newly piqued interest in David Lynch films, and Jake talks about watching more Quentin Tarantino and Martin Scorsese! That and so much more! Also, Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko have left Netflix's adaption of a live-action Avatar: The Last Airbender! What does that mean for the future of the show?
We're back everyone! For those looking for information during these times of racism tension, many films offer unique and perhaps helpful perspective. We talk through a list of movies that we found beneficial, such as Selma, The Help, Fences, In the Heat of the Night, and A Taxi Driver.

We discuss "The Sting," in which Paul Newman and Robert Redford set up the master con; "The Night of the Hunter," a gothic crime story from the eyes of a child; "Touch of Evil," Orson Welles' rather timeless police hunt involving international crime; and last but first and foremost, possibly both Jake and Stevo's favorite film of the year to date: "Whisper of the Heart," a Studio Ghibli film that calls to all artists.

Quite a diverse group of films we have to talk about! First, the Coen Brothers' anthology film, The Ballad of Buster Scruggs is broken down. Second, we have the old classic, Tombstone, to go over. And third, appropriately, what may be our favorite of the year already, The Third Man.
The Oscars come but once a year! And they never fail to deliver things to talk about: movies, controversy, snubs, etc., this is shaping up to be quite an interesting ceremony. May the best film win!
Yeah, it's February, but we're looking back at our favorite movie moments that happened in 2018! What really stood out to you?
A film that took us both by surprise, even though we knew and expected a good one. This was easily a top film for both of us this year.
Two new releases deserve a watch! First, the space bio of Neil Armstrong, First Man. Watch in IMAX, the moon scene is amazing! Second, Robert Redford's swan song, The Old Man and the Gun, as charming as the man himself.
Two summer movies surprised us quite! Mission Impossible: Fallout and Leave No Trace are must sees!
Our adventure to Seattle! We visit the Cinerama 70mm Film Festival for a day to watch two classics, It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World and Lawrence of Arabia. And we had a few pleasant surprises along the way!
Totally unplanned, but we took a trip down the river Seine and watched a few French films recently! The Red Balloon (suprisingly neither of us had seen before), The Wages of Fear, and Rififi are the special movies! Plus, Stevo just watched a stunning film and hopefully, let's get an Oscar campaign going for this new surprise film of the year!
